I stayed at Fanar Hotel in Salalah as a solo traveler and had a great time. The location is beautiful, right by the beach, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and easy access to nearby attractions. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay 🤗
Standard room, average living environment, old facilities, but there is a big supermarket next to it. The coffee shop downstairs looks average, but the equipment and beans are good, and the products are good.
Hilton Hotel is very close to the Salalah free zone, just across the street. It costs 10 Omani riyals from the airport, which is not too outrageous. I hope this can help more domestic friends.
The hotel is on the first line, the sea is near, but it is impossible to swim, waves, red flag!
It is impossible to book a room for 1 person with 1 breakfast (only for 2 people at once).
Breakfast is good but it is impossible to eat on the terrace because a stad of crows and all the chairs are dirty from them. Why isn't the restaurant hanging the nets from birds like other hotels??
For the omlet constantly queue, give the cook not 2 pie, but six (as in other hotels) and queues will not be.
The bed is comfortable with a soft mattress and good underwear, but from the pillows a terrible smell.
No. 108 was cleaned not every day. 14.11.25 After the manager asked if everything was in order with cleaning, said OK, the cleaner no longer came even to remove the garbage and change the towel)
There is a SPA, a small sauna (maximum 3 people) free.
I didn't like how girls on the resepshen divorce tourists: They asked how much it was worth to get to the nearest shopping center (3.3 km) they said 5 OMR. We said thank you, no, we went out, but the girl immediately ran out to wave taxi drivers, the car was driven, allegedly already ordered. The car pushed 3 more people to get it))
I took 5 OMR. Horrible!
Back to OTAXI officially only for 1.1 OMR !!!
We will not return to this hotel.
Very nice hotel in ideal location. It is on the Mwasalat airport bus route. You can easily see the building from outside and there is a mosque almost opposite two minutes walk. There is a restaurant next door selling reasonable price food and bakery items.
For Asian food, English tea or burgers and chips there is a very nice coffee shop if you take two rights out of the hotel. Grocery shops are within walking distance as is the Sultan Qaboos mosque. In fact if you like walking like me then it's easy to visit the beach, hafa souq, fruit market,
The hotel has a nice exterior, fresh coffee in the lobby and a nice frankincense fragrance. The receptionists are polite and friendly, as are the cleaning staff. The hotel is clean and there is a laundry service too. There is disabled access outside and a lift for ease of daily use for everyone.
The room was clean with bathroom and free soap and tissue paper. There was a fridge in the room and tv. Most of the rooms have windows. Mine didn't but the manager offered to swap it. I stayed as it was good for sleep and it has a mini window for light. Anyway I cannot complain as the manager was so helpful.
The bed was just right for me and the linen was fresh( I didn't take a photo as my photos was all taken last minute)
It was nice and clean overall and the pace of Salalah is just right for me and plenty of walking opportunities. Many Arab people stay here too. It is one of the better hotels due to the bus route and the location. I am glad I found it on this app. The price was good too
Great hotel in a new tourist area, but very clean and perfect for relaxation (except the guests of the very large neighborhoods that stole early in the morning all the rests on the beach which must be absolutely improved, But we went soon:) pleasant breakfast without too many people with the kind Nerage and the excellent chef Moataz who prepared eggs in any way always excellent! We had a nice view of the sea, but some nights the music was feeling a little high, the cloaks are not very good and even the door of the room let the noise of the general conditioning plant enter, But he was not more than so irritating to us, a special mention of the always careful and smile Rasha and Murad for gentleness and excellent cleaning.
We sat in the hotel for 3 nights and mr .adnan ( Omani man ) he give us upgrade of the room to a villa with a private pool and the name of the room was (oile) in Arabic words ( zaytona)
The resort was a series of hotels (Grand Hyatt)
The location is an hour away from Salalah, which made the place quieter and far from the noise, the sound of the sea and the lights at night makes you live an experience between (the desert and the sea)
The service of the staff in the hotel is one of the best things possible and the existing schedule and events carried out by the hotel for guests indicates their interest without the need to go down to Salalah.
The hotel is a place to settle and enjoy the tranquillity of nature without the need to go to another place.
Cleanliness of the place, food, cleaning of rooms, service of the staff through diversification in hospitality to express their welcome to guests.
There are classes to learn the cook and the offers offered by the spa to guests.
The hotel's appreciation of the employees by honouring them and celebrating them, which I found in the place of residence, which reflects on the employee's giving the inmate everything he needs with love.
The experience in general is 100%, it deserves every word of thanks.
This hotel is really a pleasant surprise! The room is clean and tidy, the bedding is soft and comfortable, the soundproofing is excellent, and I slept well until dawn. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful, and responsive. The breakfast is rich and delicious. I will stay here again next time!

GGuest UserHotel is in a good location about 5/7 minutes from the airport. It’s a resort, on the 1st floor of Gardens Mall Salalah. We had issues when we arrived, the gave us a standard room while we booked king room (the staff told us, that is referring to the bed size) this should not be the title of the listing (King Room etc). We got in touch with trio who were extremely helpful, the entire team, promptly. Had this been a European company, god help us, honestly (we all know when it comes to the crunch, not majority live up to their sales pitch). We took it upon ourselves also and had a word with the manager regarding this issue, who was happy to upgrade us to a very good room. We did spend a night in the standard room but it was still a very decent room. As mentioned before we done out locally so not sure about the food, conveniently located, take the lift straight down to the mall, this has a hyper market (carrefour) and Lulu is a walk down from the Mall (walking is not an option, you can it’s a bit of a walk with no pedestrian access). Staff friendly except one lady at the desk when asked for two glass sent the smallest cups via room service (glass are for restaurant only, we were told) but another kind lady at the desk in the morning (when requested sent these over). Would we stay there again? Yes, we would but make sure you check which room you are booking. Hats off to trip.com for being there with us all the way. The beach is a taxi ride away, the picture here is from Al Haffah beach and the frankincense being sorted by workers from Bangladesh. Remember to buy your Lubaan from salalah for cheaper and better quality. Thank you to Amjad and the manager for the upgrade. Ma Salaama

AabuamarA wonderful, quiet place with lovely seating areas and a variety of food options, including a breakfast buffet and dinner catering. Shops and restaurants are nearby. Accommodation: Small suite, room with a living room, for two people.

CCorinne_UAEOverall one of the best hotels I ever stayed in. Side note; I live in the UAE, where 5 stars hotel are really common.
The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, the beds super comfy and the washrooms are every woman's dream (lightning, mirrors and amouage amenities).
Staff is super attentive, accommodating and naturally friendly. They actually love what they do and we as guests can feel it's authenticity - which makes everything dining experience really special. The food was beyond delicious and the variety in the buffet made it hard to choose and even harder to not overeat.
Congratulations to the management and leadership of the hotel team - you truly do an amazing job.
I will definitely be back!
AAnonymous UserStayed: 3 days during a first visit to discover beautiful Salalah.
Overall impression:
The hotel was overall less than expected compared to the pictures, which look nicer than the reality.
Room:
Rooms were spacious and comfortable.
Service:
Service was correct and professional, without being particularly notable.
Breakfast:
Breakfast was basic for a 4-star hotel. Instant coffee was served in the morning. When ordering coffee separately, Arabic coffee was served, which was not to my taste and was charged extra.
Location:
Hotel is centrally located, but taxis are still needed to move around.
Overall:
An acceptable stay for a first visit to Salalah, but expectations should be set accordingly.
JjapomanAlthough we arrived late at night, the wonderful, smiling welcome soothed our travel fatigue. I was deeply moved by the true essence of Omani hospitality. The room was spacious, clean, and immaculate. I ordered a tuna sandwich from room service, which was reasonably priced and delicious. They also quickly addressed a problem with the safe. The service was kind and humble.
I stayed for four nights, and each morning I enjoyed Arabic coffee and dates in the lobby, and the smiles of the front desk staff made me happy. It's a shame I didn't have time to try the spa. The rooftop pool, while not very large, was very nice. I highly recommend this hotel! I'd love to stay again!
