My stay at Xiamen Xindongya Hotel was excellent! First and foremost, the service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. The front desk staff were warm and polite, making check-in and check-out very efficient. They patiently and thoroughly answered all my questions, treating guests kindly and with great approachability. The entire experience felt very comfortable. Secondly, the airport transfer service was incredibly responsive. After booking in advance, they responded promptly and arranged everything perfectly. The driver was waiting on time, making transportation hassle-free and saving me from worrying about my travel plans. What truly deserves special praise is how they handled an issue last night. Upon checking in, the room next door was a bit noisy and disturbed my rest. When the hotel staff found out, they dealt with it incredibly promptly and efficiently. Their attitude was sincere, and they resolved the problem without delay, ensuring my peaceful environment immediately. They showed great responsibility. Overall, the entire stay was perfect. The service was heartwarming, and they were reliable in handling things. I will definitely prioritize this hotel next time I visit Xiamen, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

First time in Ningde, and the hotel upgraded me to a lake view room. I could enjoy beautiful scenery from both the room's balcony and the bathroom window. Just a few steps out of the hotel, and you're on the lakeside boardwalk – if you have time, you can even catch a gorgeous sunset. The hotel's buffet breakfast and dinner offered a great variety of dishes with fresh ingredients.

I initially chose another hotel, but wasn't satisfied. Then I came to Lan Ou Hotel, and it felt like a breath of fresh air. The room has a big bed and a comfortable sofa to lounge on. It's located next to a residential area, so it's super quiet at night for sleeping. They even offer Fujian local snacks for breakfast! The hotel front desk service is also very attentive; they were still actively answering questions even near midnight. I'd recommend this place to anyone flying in or just arriving in Fuzhou. Plus, it's close to a street full of delicious food. Definitely avoid hotels near the highway; they're noisy at night. In short, if you're in Fuzhou, choose Lan Ou!

This hotel is really nice! It's well-equipped and super clean. They have a self-service breakfast and a swimming pool, plus a laundry room on the fifth floor so you don't have to worry about washing clothes. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The service attitude is also excellent. Free and ample parking, so no worries about finding a spot. It's very close to the scenic area, and honestly, staying at a hotel near the scenic spot is much better than staying inside since it gets so crowded. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Quanzhou. Instantly saved to my favorites!

Fantastic hotel! This hotel truly captures the essence of traditional Southern Min architecture, with its red walls, decorative tiles, and classic design, exuding a rich, ancient charm. The courtyard garden is beautiful, offering a peaceful and comfortable environment. The rooms are well-equipped and provide a very pleasant stay. Plus, you can enjoy the hot springs to unwind after your travels. The staff are incredibly attentive; they offered fruit tea upon check-in and proactively shared sightseeing routes and recommended local attractions. Their attention to detail made for a wonderful overall experience and a very comfortable stay. A special shout-out to the concierge at the front desk: after checking out, I realized I'd left something behind, and the concierge not only contacted me but personally delivered it back. Their responsibility and thoughtfulness were truly heartwarming. From the environment and facilities to the service, everything was impeccable, making for an absolutely amazing experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a very satisfying stay! The hotel environment was clean and comfortable, the room was spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was also great, making it very convenient to visit all the attractions. For international guests, the only minor challenge was that the hotel's WiFi registration and connection process wasn't particularly straightforward, and there might be some restrictions when using an overseas number. However, apart from that, everything else was excellent, and the overall stay still deserves a five-star rating. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Xiamen!

There were nine of us, and we drove here ourselves. We saw that this hotel had good reviews, so we decided to book it. They don't have their own parking, but luckily, the front desk staff helped us find parking across the street, which was super convenient for getting in and out and didn't cost extra. We stayed in a family room with two 1.8-meter beds. The room was really big; we could lay out all our suitcases with no problem at all, there was plenty of space. The location is pretty good too, very close to all the attractions. Even though we only had one day, thanks to the great location, we managed to visit all the popular spots. The room's cleanliness was also excellent, and the disposable toiletries were plentiful. The shampoo was surprisingly good; my hair wasn't greasy at all after washing. The hairdryer was powerful too; my hair dried in just a few minutes. The front desk lady's service was exceptionally good, very enthusiastic, and she recommended some delicious restaurants nearby that we all found to be good value for money. The soundproofing wasn't as bad as I thought; it was actually very quiet at night, and we slept really comfortably. There's breakfast right on the roadside upstairs with lots of local specialties, and they're all very affordable. Oh, and there are three washing machines and dryers, so plenty to go around, no need to queue. Zhenyue definitely added a lot of fun to our Xiamen trip!

EElizabeth Frances RoseThis place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

YYutousan333To be honest, it was much better than I expected. I saw reviews saying the rooms were old, but I actually found it quite good, just a normal older hotel. 1. The room was spacious. 2. The facilities were complete. 3. Although the bathroom had a bathtub and a shower curtain, the water pressure was excellent, making for a very comfortable shower. The only downside was that the hairdryer's airflow was really weak... Since we had stayed at a B&B in Pingtan for 690 yuan during the May Day holiday before this, near Xianrenjing, the soundproofing was terrible, the room was tiny, and the toilet wouldn't drain. Comparing the two, I think the Millennium Hotel is fantastic! 😂 Plus, the location is super convenient, right next to the subway exit, about 60 meters away, and at the beginning of Zhongshan Road. I really liked it. It's also close to popular bubble tea shops like Cuida (at China Plaza), just opposite the hotel. We stayed on the 20th floor, and the view was great too. All the sunset photos were taken by me, I genuinely recommend it! (Though I do think keeping expectations low definitely helps with a better experience 😂)

GGuest UserFor my trip to Fuzhou, I chose the Sanmar Hilton by the Min River, and overall, the experience was quite reliable. The most unique feature is definitely its 'sky lobby' – check-in is on the 40th floor. As soon as you step out of the elevator, the panoramic view is stunning, and the front desk staff were efficient. I stayed in a high-floor river view room (48th floor), and the full-height windows offered an absolutely fantastic view. By day, you can watch boats on the Min River, and by night, it's the bustling CBD city lights. Being able to take in the entire city's scenery from bed was a huge plus. The room itself was spacious and well-laid out. The bedding had that classic 'cloud-like' feel, and there was a good selection of pillows, ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate shower and bathtub, which was great for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The housekeeper also thoughtfully checked in daily to ask about any replenishment needs, which was another nice touch.

YYappariStory📍 青年阳光S酒店(厦门会展中心加州广场店) 🏨 Youth Sunshine S Hotel (Xiamen International Convention & Exhibition Center California Plaza Branch) 🗓 Check-in Date: February 15, 2026 🗓 Check-out Date: February 19, 2026 🕘 Departure Time: 5:00 PM (Special Request Accepted) We arrived at the hotel at 9:45 PM on the eve of Chinese New Year. Given the late hour and festive season, we were concerned that nearby restaurants might already be closed. To our pleasant surprise, several small eateries within 50 meters of the hotel were still open, allowing us to enjoy a proper late dinner. It was a reassuring start to our stay. The hotel’s environment is comfortable and welcoming. The lobby features a bright, clean design with warm wood tones and soft lighting that create a calm, relaxing atmosphere. A tasteful display area and cozy seating space add a subtle blend of business functionality and artistic charm. The front desk staff were professional and courteous, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient despite the late hour. We stayed in the Premier Themed Room (Japanese Style with Sakura), which was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Upon entering, we were greeted by a beautifully designed Japanese-inspired interior. Warm lighting, wooden flooring, and delicate sakura (cherry blossom) wall art created a serene and elegant ambiance. Wooden partition panels and subtle decorative details added refinement, giving the space an artistic yet tranquil feel — almost like a small ryokan-style retreat in the heart of Xiamen. The room was thoughtfully designed, spacious, and impeccably clean. A charming feature was the private balcony, which allowed fresh air in. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, dressed in crisp white linens. The mattress offered excellent support, and the pillows were soft yet supportive, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. All essential toiletries were generously provided, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dental kits, slippers, and towels. Everything was neatly arranged and well-maintained, reflecting attention to guest comfort. The complimentary breakfast was another pleasant surprise. It offered a good variety of well-prepared options, making it a satisfying way to start each day. The location is highly convenient, close to the Xiamen International Convention & Exhibition Center, with California Plaza Shopping Mall next door offering numerous dining choices. Whether for business or leisure, the hotel is an excellent option. Most importantly, the nightly rate was very reasonable and offered excellent value, especially considering the themed décor, balcony, full amenities, and included breakfast. The stay exceeded our expectations. We would gladly choose this room again on our next visit. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Highly recommended!

GGuest UserOverall, it's pretty good for the price. It's also very close to the subway station, and the hygiene is decent; at least there aren't any noticeable dirty spots. They even have robot service, and the front desk staff are very friendly. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be that the soundproofing is a bit average, but it's still acceptable.

Ffernanda9The room was very clean and the environment was quiet. Xiao Bai (the staff) was very nice and upgraded us to a higher room category. Before we left, they even gave our child some small seashells, which was a very thoughtful touch. The hotel breakfast was delicious, especially the Shacha noodles, which were tastier than any we'd had in the days before arriving on the island. The complimentary lunch included in the package was also very good, though the yellow croaker was a bit small, just one tiny fish. At the end of September, when tourist traffic wasn't heavy, we arrived on the island at 11 AM. The shuttle service was perfectly arranged, helping us avoid the scorching sun. We later found out that a shuttle ride on the island costs 50 RMB per person, so for our family of three, we saved a good 150 RMB. Most of the snacks on the island were just okay, but the Dayang Restaurant was quite good. If you have the time, staying on the island is definitely recommended. You can avoid the midday sun and take your kids to play by the beach in the afternoon. Strolling around the island in the evening makes this a very high-value-for-money place. Xiamen offers a resort experience similar to Sanya, yet also gives you the illusion of wandering through the streets and alleys of a small Hong Kong or Macau island.

The hotel facilities were also impressive and added to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a great location.
