Intercity Hotel Rostock was located at the main railway station on the outskirts of Rostock city. The hotel room was simply furnished but contained the essentials. However, the air quality was poor and the air conditioner worked poorly so it got very hot in the room. The cleanliness was as expected. The bathroom was small and simply decorated. The breakfast at the hotel was very good and varied, with a good selection of both hot and cold dishes. The staff seemed uninterested and were passive in meeting me as a guest. It lacked both smile and service attitude. Based on this, I can not recommend this hotel to others and will not visit it again myself.

Auf unser kleinen Ostsee Tour, kamen wir von Swinemünde und konnten direkt 4 Sterne in Polen mit 4 Sterne in Deutschland vergleichen. Das West Baltic in Polen, könnte mit der Besseren Lage und dem eigenen Wellnessbereich punkten. Beide Hotels sind innen wie außen schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Dennoch ist das Wyndham, obwohl wesentlich größer, etwas stilvoller. Hat den schöneren Restaurantbereich und das größere Frühstücks-Buffet. Das West Baltic wirkt gerade an der Rezeption moderner während das Restaurantareal wie eine bessere Erinnerung an eine Transitgaststätte wirkt. So, jetzt aber zu den Details des Wyndham. Fangen wir außen an. Die Lage ist etwa 3 Kilometer von der Altstadt und dem Hafen entfernt. Es steht zwischen kleinen Gartenkolonien und einem Gewerbegebiet. Ein McDonald ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Allgemein war es sehr ruhig. Direkt vor dem Hotel erwartet einem, ein großer und kostenpflichtiger Parkplatz (7.-€/Tag). Gleich ein kleiner Tipp, davor ist der kostenlose Parkplatz vom Hansedom. Ach und gleich Tipp Nummer 2: Das Hotel ist nicht der Hansedom auch wenn es direkt mit der Saunalandschaft und dem Spaßbad verbunden ist. Alle Besuche müssen extra online reserviert und auch separat bezahlt werden. Begrüßt wird man vom freundlichen Personal in einer großen Lobby, von der rechts das Restaurant abgeht. Zwei Fahrstühle bringen einen zu den Zimmern. Das ist recht groß und bietet viel Schrank mit kostenlosem Tresor. Ein kleiner Fernseher und ein leerer, kleiner Kühlschrank ist, nett, in Form eines Leuchtturms aufgestellt. Bad und WC, getrennt durch eine Schiebetür bieten genug Platz für 2 Personen. Hier wirkt alles sehr sauber . Ein Satz Handtücher für zwei, Duschgel, Seife, Fön, Nähzeug und Gläser erwarten den Gast. Der große Balkon wird die Raucher erfreuen. Das Bett war ok, etwas weich für meinen Geschmack. Doch ich konnte ohne Hilfe morgens raus. Um dann vielleicht in den 10.Stock zu fahren und auf der Dachterrasse meinen Kaffee zu trinken oder wie jetzt wohl eher, mir die Ohren abzufrieren. In Zeiten von Corona darf man nur eine Stunde frühstücken und man muss diese Zeiten vorher bestimmen. Dann wird man zu einem Tisch gebracht - alles mit Maske. Das Buffet war gut. Kein Ausreißer, keine Überraschungen und kein Fisch! Das fand ich schon etwas seltsam für eine Hansestadt. Es gab Rührei, Würstchen, verschiedene Wurst und Käsesorten sowie Müsli, Cornflakes. Verschieden Sorten Brot, Brötchen, Tee- und Kaffeevarianten. Der Bereich ist gepflegt und wird nach jedem Gast sofort gereinigt. Es war ein angenehmer Aufenthalt und vielleicht sieht man sich wieder. Lage: etwas außerhalb, Besonderheit: Dachterrasse, Parkplatz: Kostenpflichtig, WLAN: gratis, Leistung 2, mehrere Geräte möglich, Wellness/Sport: aktuell nicht im Haus Frühstück: 3, I

We arrived at around 6:30 from Sweden with the ferry. After checking in we went to the restaurant to have dinner as se had a light lunch. To our surprise, after a long wait, we manage to get hold of the head waiter, who informed us that it was not possible to have a table - the hotel is faaar out with no alternate restarunts, dispate that it looked as it was a lot of empty space in the restaurant. The reception offered to call to some town nearby to make us a reservation for us. Some time later we were told that we could have a table at 8 pm which we found fare enough. At 8 we went up to the restaurant, after some wait we grab a personal and yes, table no 6 was for our disposal. As there were no menu, we asked what to eat and was offered the buffet. But they would clean out the buffe in 7(!) minutes. We left hungry that night. We have made some travel through the years but this was some experience. We checked out next morning, dispate 2 days booking. It was certainly a never-again-experience, kind of east germany experience. You have been warned, this was not a cheep hotel, just very unfriendly.. Normally we always check tripadvisor before picking a hotel. For some reason, there has been no reviews since 2018, pity!

This is an old hotel without air-conditioning, so the rooms may became pretty warm. We received a room where the warm water did not work. So we had to take a shower with cold water. The hotel has an own car-parking area, but the clients have to pay for it. The distance to the city centre is around 3km only. You may take the bus to get to the centre, but the bus does not drive very frequently.

The hotel offers all what a discerning guest could wish for. Perfect location right in the old town. Authentic medieval flair - the lovingly renovated hotel is located in a complex of several hundred-year-old historical buildings that are connected to each other. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, with wooden ceilings and tea and coffee making facilities. In summer, the a la carte breakfast in the courtyard is definitely a highlight. The hotel offers very good coffee from the hotel's own roastery. There is a wellness area, a lounge, a restaurant and a roastery store. Upper stores are reachable by elevator. Easy on-line check-in. Attentive staff. The hotel does not have its own parking lot, but cars can be parked in the public garage in front of the hotel.

The location of the hotel near the train station and the friendly reception allow us to start our holidays relaxingly. The city centre is within a minute walking distance. The room was conveniently furnished and fully large enough for a short trip. The reception is open around the hour. The building has a playbank and a fitness centre. Also you can play bowling and billiards. By getting tickets for public transport free of charge, you can reach all the attractions around the area, even drive to the island of Rügen. The breakfast is delicious and extensive. Also here the staff is friendly and helpful.

The mattresses were not yet passed through. The breakfast buffet was small, but for 7.50€ incl. drinks, unsatisfactory, cheap. S-track and tram are in the immediate vicinity. Point deduction is available for too few parking and little rooms at breakfast. There can be time to wait for shots. All in all a very good price-performance ratio and very recommend!

Water was perhaps a bit on the fresh end, but OK, and it was not crowded. Nice spaces outdoor for kids to play and a nice kids room where they can borrow board games, complemented with a games room with a foosball table, a Nintendo and air hockey. Breakfast buffet was quite complete and staff were nice. However, having stayed over several days, we noticed that the breakfast assortment was fixed (a bit of variety would have been nice). We were also expecting access to the beach, and it was a bit more like a 20m wide swamp (i.e. not meant for playing or swimming), but they have a sandy area in front with some chairs to enjoy the good weather.

Hotell has rooms that should fit everyone from singel to family groups. Around the hotel you will find several activities. The long beach is nice and clean. History about the buildings. I will recommend everyone tho read about the history of Prora. The hotel brand has a statement. #Stay fancy. It is far from fancy ! So do not expect to much. Rooms Hotell gives you a functional space and it is easy to get around. An important note. Check and document your booking from what you see on the webpage. I'm pretty sure we booked a apartment with balcony on the roof. That was the picture and explanation on the homepage for Dormero. A helpfull person at the hotel tried to solve the problem and showed us optional rooms. We ended up with the one they first set us up with. Be warned it can happen to other also. So check it out when you order and get the room. Gym / Swimmingpool Swimmingpool is inside. Gym is standard, could be a bit hot. Getting here. It's easy signs on the street. However the buildings are so identic copies so you can be fooled to stop at the fancy hotel next to it. Coming in an EV. Not many chargers around here. There is a Tesla destination charger next door. Make sure you understand where to charge and how to charge your EV. Parking. parking house. Only about 50 reserved for hotel guests. So you could end up looking for parking space. Parking is at your ovn risk and with no security. Health If you are sensitive for smoking and dogs. This is not the place to go. It is far behind all that is high tech fancy and healthy. A lot of smell from cigarette and cigars. Dogs are doing their thing everywhere so check where you put down your feet. The smell from pee is all over the place. around the hotell. Places to eat. You will find some restaurant around and small coffee shops. Bar At the hotel there is a bar with biljard and a football game. I have not observed any people serving this bar. Looks empty,

The hotel is strategically located in the heart of the city, at one of the side of the magnificent piazza in the centre of Wismar. It is definitely a designer hotel: very stilish, with interesting, meaningful details e.g. a perfectly equipped gym (really much better than most of the international luxury chains you would find in London or New York) or the most incredible bicycle room I’ve ever seen (I was there with friends during a tour of the Baltic by bike and I was definitely impressed). In a few words, it could have been a hotel to rate quite highly, but unfortunately my partner and I have been particularly unlucky as we have been assigned a VERY - and I mean very - small room: to give an idea of how small the room was, there was no table on one side of the bed, no light, not even a socket to recharge one’s phone. All in all my advise is: use this beautiful hotel, it is worth it, but make sure they don’t make you stay in a room that would accommodate one guest when you are two. Of course my rating will not be higher than 3 out of 5, as this is not the way you do business, especially if you manage a beautiful hotel.

During a recent stay I had a health issue and called the front desk and spoke to one of the staff. She (sadly, I forget her name but it had an eastern European ring to it) was absolutely superb; she called an ambulance and the paramedics knocked on my room door only 20 minutes later. They let themselves in (as I was immobile) and took me to hospital. While I was in the A&E department I called again and the same lady made sure that room service would collect my belongings from the room and take them down to the front desk, where I later, after being released from hospital, was able to pick them up. The MotelOne staff deserve full marks for making sure a very difficult day did not turn out to be a really horrible one. My sincere thanks!

This hotel has a frontdesk staff that dont't have a clue of what service means. I will go as far as say that the front desk employees are the worst I ever has experienced. We arrived with a car and was advised to use the parking cellar of the shopping center. Well, it was full, and when we tried to get help from the front desk woman to find an other solution... there was no help to get at all. Great first impression. Well, we got the car parked at last somewhere, and we hoped not to get in touch with the front desk again in our 2 nights stay. On day two, we got back from a daytrip to Warnemünde and wanted to take a shower to get rid of the salt before going to a concert. Big suprise: The had not done housekeeping and there was no new towels. We didn't care to much about the messy bed, but when my wife tok a call down to the front desk and asked them to bring new towels... the lady in the front desk said no... you have to come and get them yourself! We asked, of course, why they didn't clean the room and the answer was: You have to give a message to the front desk if you want your room cleaned!!!!! Well, thats's a touch of old DDR for you. Sorry but this hotel needs to get new staff for the front desk to get 2 more points. And a further advice... Add a waterheather with coffee in the rooms and a small fridge like all other hotel-rooms to get one more.

The hotel has a great location in the center and port. The service was GREAT. Very friendly staff, since we were 4 people (2 adults and 2 children), an extra bed was missing, which we did immediately after information. There was plenty of space in the room and everything was clean. The bathroom was large and a nice shower. There was a kettle with tea, coffee to make yourself. In the lobby there is water, apples and sweets to take away. The roof terrace on the 10th floor or higher was open to everyone and has loungers for sunbathing and a GREAT view of the harbor and city. We were all very happy.

All in all nice resort with an interesting location on the Ostsee coast. Nice architecture and comfortable rooms, offers spa program, boat renting, has a nice restaurant and bar. It would get better rating if not prone to incidents with customers. You may end up being truly frowned upon if you arrive to breakfast lately or if you enjoy it too much and stay too long and approach the time when the breakfast ends. Usually an older blonde, thin lady wearing a medical protection mask shows up frowning and warning you about your 'misdemanor'. Also, an senior male receptionist (called Uwe, I think) insisted on paying accomodation fee although it was already paid (prepaid by a tourist agency which did the booking for the room). Upon he was politely asked to check with the manager, he simply said ”No.” I was shocked by such a reaction, as it was impossible to reach hotel manager in such a high-end (or supposed to be a high-end) resort! Only after his more approachable colleague, Ms. Carrillo Gomez interventioned, a senior staff member was somehow found and the matter luckily resolved in the last minute for me to catch the train for returning home... So a word of advice: 1) Do not pre-pay for the room, you may be scammed into trying to pay twice 2) If you do, print out the invoice and remind the staff tah you paid for the room every day 3) Avoid dealing with Mr Uwe 4) Wash out the bitternes of possible hostile interactions at the hotel bar

We visited Rostock for the first time my wife and I. We stayed at Vienna House Sonne for 11 days. On our arrival, we met with Sonja who made us feel at home.. She met us every morning to see if all was perfect.. Indeed, everything was perfect.. the staff was always smiling and ready to help. The hotel is wonderful and very well situated in the heart of Neuw Markt..! All shops and city life at a walking distance. Trams to different part of Rostock were available and the station is at 30secs walk from the hotel. Thank you Sonja H and your staff for making our stay in Rostock memorable…! ❤️❤️ Vielen Dank 🙏

The hotel is simply clean, located at the park behind the Baltic Sea Stadium. The two stars at the service have the really (no irony!) friendly older gentleman in late and also the delightful night service in the roll. The young lady is recommended to go to the day service a profession where she does not have to/shall/shall be able to handle with customers.

Wir haben mit Freunden 4 Nächte im Ceres am Meer verbracht und sind am Ende zu dem Schluss gekommen: sehr stylisch mit Luft nach oben. Anfahrt zum Hotel bzw. zur Garage verwirrend und nicht ausgeschildert. Netter Empfang an der Rezeption und Begleitung zum Zimmer um alles zu erklären. Zimmer ausreichend groß mit tollem Blick über die Seebrücke und das Wasser (2. Stock). Betten extrem bequem, Einrichtung im Zimmer sehr stylisch, aber auch sehr reduziert. Statt 2 kleinen harten Designerstühlen (siehe Foto) wären 2 bequeme Sessel gemütlicher. Das Bad sehr groß und sehr unpraktisch. An den 2 flachen Designer-Waschtischen kaum Ablagefläche (siehe Foto). Wenn man herausgefunden hat, wie der stylische Wasserhebel funktioniert, sind auch schon Spiegel und Wände vollgespritzt und das Becken fast übergelaufen. Uns haben die Mitarbeiter vom Housekeeping leid getan. In der Dusche keine Ablagefläche, im separaten WC kein Mülleimer. Um nachts den Lichtschalter für die Toilette zu erreichen, muss man einmal quer durch das dunkle Badezimmer laufen. Die Minibar ist mit 2 Flaschen Wasser und verschiedenen Säften gefüllt. Ansonsten keine Kaffeemaschine, kein Wasserkocher um sich einen Tee zu machen und auch kein Hinweis auf einen Roomservice im Zimmer. Das Frühstück ist qualitativ gut. Warum Räucherlachs und Leberwurst nicht mit auf dem Buffet angeboten, sondern von der Karte bestellt werden müssen, hat sich uns nicht erschlossen. Zumal sie ohne extra Berechnung an den Tisch gebracht werden, allerdings mehr in Form eines ”Gruß aus der Küche”. Earl Grey Tee gab es an 3 Tagen nur als Beutel, am letzten Tag dann doch noch als losen Tee. Wenn man keinen der wenigen Tische im früheren Restaurant ergattert, muss das Frühstück in der Bar mit entsprechend niedrigen Beistelltischen und Cocktailsesseln eingenommen werden. Der Service im ganzen Haus ist gut bis ausbaufähig, abhängig vom jeweiligen Mitarbeiter. Auf die Frage unserer Freundin an der Rezeption, ob es einen Stadtplan von Binz gibt, erhielt sie die lapidare Antwort ”Haben Sie kein google?”. Und auch wenn man Feierabend hat, kann man als Barkeeper die Gäste fragen, ob sie noch ein Getränk möchten, bevor man sich um 22.15 Uhr seinen Rucksack schnappt und Richtung Ausgang trabt. Das mein Geburtstag vom Hotel übersehen wurde, trotzdem ich einen Tag vorher beim Einchecken noch nach dem Geburtsdatum gefragt wurde, passte schließlich zum Gesamteindruck vom Hotel. Dem Haus fehlen Empathie und Charme eines Gastgebers.

In a quiet location on the park with a beautiful garden (lifting). Great rooms with generous bathroom, very clean and high quality mattresses. The service staff is always very friendly, attentive and helpful. The breakfast buffet does not leave any wishes open and the restaurant is recommendable. The cocktails in the small, cozy bar are very tasty. The room cleaning is done on request, which I personally find very sustainable. The wellness area is also recommended.

Just returned home from a 4 night stay at Hotel Merkur. I had taken my 3 Children on a Monday to Friday holiday to celebrate their milestone Birthdays, my twins turned 21 and my other daughter celebrating her 40th. I chose this hotel because of the reviews of how friendly the hotel staff were and all the personal touches they provided, such as, bottle of bubbly on arrival and homemade Jam and/or marmalade as a leaving gift. Sadly we saw nothing of this despite me emailing them beforehand to inform them of our reason for the holiday. The room we had been given was 002 and although very basic, we had a great bathroom. The windows looked on to a wall so not much daylight in the room, but we were okay with this as it kept the room cool and we didn't plan to be in all that much. Not wanting to be negative, but... on arrival all we were given was the key and told where our room could be found, no welcome pack or even information about the hotel facilities etc. (We only found out on the last day that they had a courtyard we could have used and that they sold soft drinks at recetion.) The room didn't even have tea/coffee making equipment, which we found very unusual and disappointing. The last straw for us was, when checking out was asked if we had taken anything from the mini bar to which I replied ”what mini bar?” ”The one in your room” eh??? We didn't have a mini bar!! Left us thinking we must have had the worst room in the hotel and we felt like second class guests. On the positive side the towels and bedding were changed daily and the breakfast was good. Oh, I forgot to mention, my daughter came back to the hotel when I was asleep and didn't want to knock the door too loud in case it disturbed other guests, si asked us she could be let in and was told they didn't have another key, so she sat in reception. Eh???!!!. I loved Prague and will definitely go back, but not to Hotel Merkur.

Our newly renovated room on the 4th floor was spacious and modern. However, it lacked storage space in the bathroom which had plenty of tiled walls without hooks or shelves. The hotel is under renovation and work begins about 10.00a.m. so don’t expect to sleep in over the noise of the power tools. Our window looked onto the railway line, and we did hear the infrequent trains throughout the night. The hotel is less than 2 kms walking distance to the Schwerin Castle and the old town. A couple of small complaints, the hotel would not change our 50 Euro note into smaller denominations, I was told that was because “the boss would be angry”. I asked for a cup of ice to take to our room on the first night and the request was refused. The request was made at reception and initially the man said he would get it, then someone from a rear office said something to him and I was told that they had no ice. On our second night, I asked the bartender for ice to take to my room and it was provided. I expect to be able to get ice at a hotel that charges the price we paid here despite whether I ask the bar tender or the person at reception.

This hotel needs to be refurbished, the bathroom is old, you can see the mold on the edge. We came by car and there is a garbage dump next to it. Breakfast is ok. Only one code was given, but it can be used on more than one phone. If you want two, you need to pay extra. At the hotel we booked tickets for local buses and trains for the handling fee. very good. The view from some rooms is not very good, our room is facing a wall.

The staff is super friendly. The newly renovated rooms are B and B standard. Now it's renovated there. It's definitely nice. Come back.

The environment is really good

Herr Janke, is such a kind man we meet him after our orginal hotel had double booked on us for our wedding!!! We visited his hotel highly stressed and not sure how we were going to make our wedding happen. We were meet by a very calm and helpful gentleman. Who was able to secure rooms for us and also give us several ideas for our wedding. We viewed several rooms which were spotlessly clean and looked very comfortable. Most if the rooms are overlooking a small type of courtyard and very quite. It is excellent value for money too.
