JiulingbensiThis hotel is conveniently located right across the street from Quanshui Square, and it's also very close to Baotu Spring and Heima Spring. The staff are warm, attentive, and meticulous. The rooms are clean, tidy, comfortable, spacious, and bright. The breakfast offers a rich variety, featuring local specialties while also catering to diverse tastes, especially those of children. Shangri-La is truly a trustworthy choice.

Our stay at the hotel was overall very pleasant. The hotel itself looks absolutely amazing, it truly feels like staying in a castle, both from the outside and inside. Our room had a beautiful sea view, which created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
The breakfast offered a nice variety of options, and the café with its balcony overlooking the sea was a wonderful place to enjoy coffee. The food at the café was also very good.
One of the highlights of our stay was the concierge service. The concierge was extremely helpful, polite, and professional. He assisted us many times with our deliveries and always made a great impression. Most of the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming as well.
The hotel’s location, away from the city center, is actually a big advantage for those looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday. The beach is not crowded, and the swimming pool is usually peaceful and not busy.
However, there are some areas where the hotel could improve.
The room cleaning service needs more attention. It wasn't good at all.
Some cups at breakfast were also dirty or cracked.
The service at the café could be improved as well. When we came to order afternoon tea at around 5 PM, one of the young staff members seemed unhappy and impatient because it was close to the end of his working day. After making a short call, we were told that the kitchen was not answering and that they were no longer working. This experience did not feel very welcoming. Though I understand he really wanted to leave work asap, he could share it with his coworker after we left, not in front of us 🤣
The hotel also has a Japanese restaurant, but the staff could not provide clear information about its opening days or availability. We were told it might be open on Thursday and Friday, but it was not certain.
Another concern is the small zoo area. animals appeared to be staying outside in the heat all day. In particular, there was a dog kept in a cage outside during very hot weather (around 35°C), which was concerning and seemed unsuitable for the animal’s comfort..
The beach near the hotel was unfortunately quite dirty, which is something that could be improved.
Regarding the swimming pools, the indoor pool felt quite cold, especially with the air conditioning, making it difficult to enjoy with a child when the outdoor weather is too hot. The outdoor pool area also has limited comfortable seating. There are only a few lounge chairs, and adding soft cushions or mats would greatly improve the experience and make the area more relaxing.
Overall, we had a nice stay and enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere, views, and peaceful location. The hotel has great potential, and with some improvements in service quality, cleanliness, and facilities, it could become an even better experience for guests.

Guest UserChoosing The Westin Qingdao for my trip was an absolute delight, and what truly made my stay exceptional was the outstanding service from the entire front office team. From check-in upon arrival to answering all my questions throughout my stay and finally a smooth check-out, every step reflected the professional standards of a five-star hotel, far exceeding my expectations.
As soon as our car pulled up to the hotel entrance, a front office staff member proactively approached to guide us, thoughtfully directing us to the lobby for check-in. Stepping into the lobby and approaching the reception area, the staff members were consistently warm and friendly in their tone, providing genuine and sincere service, completely devoid of any robotic, impersonal feel. The check-in process was highly efficient and streamlined. During the process, they took the initiative to meticulously explain all key information, including suite privileges, important notes on using the room key card, opening hours for hotel facilities, and 24-hour service contact details. Everything was explained clearly and comprehensively, saving guests the trouble of having to ask individual questions.
As it was my first time visiting Qingdao, I wasn't very familiar with the city's attractions or unique touring routes. Initially, I just planned to quickly check in and head to my room to rest. However, the front office staff attentively noticed my travel needs and, combining them with my preferences, patiently shared recommendations for local hotspots, the best times for scenic views, and reliable tour route planning. They thoughtfully helped me avoid crowded areas and proactively identified potential needs I hadn't even voiced, offering personalized suggestions. This spontaneous, heartwarming service instantly melted away the fatigue from my journey.
During my several-day stay, whether it was during my daytime excursions or a late-night query, simply calling the front desk for changes in itinerary, booking taxis, local travel tips, or room-related coordination issues, the phone was always answered quickly. The staff consistently maintained a patient and meticulous attitude, diligently listening to my requests and providing practical solutions. Their response time was incredibly fast; there was never any delay, perfunctory response, or passive feedback. It was clear that the entire front office team had well-defined roles and worked seamlessly together, handling various guest inquiries with poise and professionalism. Their professional competence was truly outstanding.
At check-out, the front office procedures were equally simple and fast, with no long queues or waiting times. The billing and verification process was transparent and efficient, making the entire experience hassle-free. From the initial reception upon arrival, through the constant support during my stay, to the thoughtful farewell at departure, the front office consistently maintained a steady and heartfelt service, truly ensuring that every need was met and every guest felt cared for.
Much of this wonderful stay experience is owed to the meticulous service of the front office team. If I return to Qingdao, I will still prioritize this hotel, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to all fellow travelers.

Guest UserThe female staff members I encountered at this hotel were all wonderful. When I booked a tent, I was told the beach would be shady in the afternoon, but I actually needed the tent more in the morning. They were very helpful and changed my reservation to the morning. When checking in, they noticed I had a small baby and proactively asked if I could wait a few hours to get a room upgrade to a sea-view room. Since I was going to Mount Laoshan that day, I checked in in the evening and was upgraded directly to a sea-view room. Many thanks to the front desk staff who checked me in and the staff who helped me book the tent. The room was also cleaned very well every day.

Guest UserThe location is indeed quite convenient, and the environment is decent. As for the facilities, they're just okay – the first ten seconds of water from the bathtub faucet were rusty red. My biggest complaint, however, is about their 'free shuttle service.' If you don't offer it, don't advertise it. If you do, then actually provide it. I booked twice. The first time, they said the driver had finished for the day. The second time, they claimed they couldn't pick me up due to weather conditions. Is bad weather really an excuse? Do your drivers only operate electric vehicles or something?

Guest UserTraveling to Qingdao with my family, we chose this hotel and were very satisfied with everything, especially Cherry's outstanding service. She thoughtfully inquired about our family members and, knowing we had young children, prioritized interactive, kid-friendly attractions when planning our itinerary. She also pointed out areas with many stairs, advising us to be careful when walking with kids. When we wanted to find authentic local dining spots, avoiding tourist traps, Cherry provided excellent recommendations tailored to our family's taste. Her communication was always friendly. The hotel's interior is elegant, and the rooms are spotless with a stable hot water supply. The location is convenient for getting around. Thanks to Cherry's practical advice, we saved the hassle of sifting through countless online guides, making our trip much more relaxed and enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for families and will definitely consider staying here again for future trips.

ShibazhongyingThis was the hotel I was most looking forward to on this trip. I booked it because it was a 5-star resort, hoping to relax with my parents. However, when we drove up to the entrance, there was no one to help with luggage or direct us to parking. The entrance was completely empty. I thought everyone was busy, but once inside the lobby, I saw plenty of staff, yet no one came forward to assist us. This is unheard of in any 5-star hotel I've stayed at. After we went in, my dad asked where the charging stations in the parking lot were, and if they were fast or slow chargers. The staff member couldn't answer any of his questions, saying they'd have to go ask. In the end, we had no choice but to follow the signs and find the parking ourselves.
On the bright side, the two rooms we booked could be connected by opening a door to form a single suite, which was a nice experience.
Actually, when you approached the staff for something, their attitude was good, but it felt like there were some management issues. For example, after checking out, my mother realized she had left something in the room's refrigerator. I immediately called the front desk, explaining we were driving back to get it and asking if someone could collect the item and leave it at the concierge. The front desk confirmed it was no problem.
After driving back to the hotel for about 20 minutes, my mother inquired at the concierge, but the concierge staff had no idea about it. They had to go ask the front desk, and only after getting a confirmation did they go up to the room to retrieve the item. We then waited at the hotel for almost 20 to 30 minutes, which was a very poor experience.
Overall, the environment and cleanliness were excellent. The location is in Qingdao's new district, and the surrounding area, plus the sea view terrace, added a lot of points. However, the initial bad experience significantly lowered our overall impression. I hope they can make more improvements.
Being able to see the sunrise and sunset over the sea from the room was something I really loved!
The breakfast selection was comprehensive and delicious.

Guest UserThe parking lot has ample spaces, the plaza is large, and parking is free. The lobby manager, Ms. Liu Xin, was very welcoming, and the front desk staff were also very professional. The concierge provided luggage storage, excellent assistance with getting in and out of vehicles, and package pickup services. Overall, the experience was excellent. The rooms have large, bright windows, and the breakfast was delicious and varied. The location is convenient, with many restaurants nearby. Transportation is very convenient. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay.
Hot towels and warm water were available at the bar for handwashing.
