Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting.
The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes.
One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds.
Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.

Firstly the service at the hotel was very good, they have a staff member who speaks very good English so that helps alot. The staff members vivid and yanina were very fast at responding to any queries I had and offering solutions. The driver Awan was also very friendly.
The hotel looks almost as good as it does on the pictures, the landscape is unreal like anything ive seen. The breakfast is quite good and has many different options. Overall its exactly what youd expect from a 5* hotel in Yangshuo.

This hotel was amazing- every aspect was carefully considered. The staff here were very helpful and thoughtful. Free laundry was easy to access and plentiful. We got the best room imo on level 8 overlooking the pedestrian street and it was just amazing. I would absolutely stay here again. All the amenities available were more carefully curated than other Chinese hotels- and that’s saying something because usually Chinese hotels provide a lot of stuff already. We really loved our stay here. The ginger tea at the lobby was great too
The location is also unbeatable and an easy walk down the main pedestrian street to the two pagodas and all the main attractions.
1) This hotel is literally situated on the China-Vietnam border. From my room window, I could see Vietnam, and the front desk even warned me that if I had an iPhone, it might pick up signals from the neighboring country and my time zone could change. The rooftop observation deck offers an even better view of the border scenery, encompassing both Dongxing in China and Mong Cai in Vietnam.
2) When I booked on Trip.com, I specifically requested a non-smoking room, and the hotel front desk truly delivered! The floor and room were genuinely free of any secondhand smoke. Honestly, in a fourth-tier city in (what is arguably the world's number one country for secondhand smoke), this was a rare and pleasant surprise.
3) It's quite close to the Dongxing Port, just a 5-minute walk away.
If you want to experience the charm of a border town right from your room, and if you appreciate clean room facilities and fresh, natural air, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Upon check-in, the front desk attendant upgraded my room to the 49th floor. The view is fantastic, offering a panoramic sight of the Liujiang River, and the night view is equally stunning. The room size is decent, though some facilities could use an upgrade. For instance, there's no master switch by the bed, so I had to get up to turn off the lights before sleeping. The curtains aren't automatic, and the bathroom only has a handheld shower, no rainfall showerhead. They also only provide two bottles of water. Overall, the service was good; the front desk lady accommodated my request for a late checkout. For breakfast, the gravy for the freshly made Guilin rice noodles was quite tasty, but the self-serve Chinese fried rice and dishes had limited options. The location is excellent, away from the crowded Wuxing Street area. However, Poly Plaza and the snack street downstairs offer almost all of Liuzhou's local specialties, including luosifen, tapioca pudding, and duck legs. It's also very convenient to catch a taxi to tourist attractions.

The hotel is new and the service is excellent. It's very convenient, and they even thoughtfully provided disposable bath bags and toilet seat covers. Downstairs, you're right by the river, and next to a night market with street food and a pedestrian street. You absolutely have to try the complimentary wheat bran hair wash – it seems to be a specialty of Liuzhou, with hair salons everywhere. I paid extra for the family combo, which was incredibly comfortable and great value for money. The travel photos turned out amazing, highly recommended!
The family room was on the 2nd floor. I thought for such a high price, we'd get a higher floor with a river view, but the upside was that the kids' ball pit was right outside the door, and my child had a fantastic time.
The floor-to-ceiling windows at the 12th-floor bar and the outdoor balcony at the 13th-floor restaurant offer a great view of the musical fountain at night, helping you avoid the crowds downstairs. The only downside is that the hotel gets busy, and the restaurant is a bit small, so there were no tables available during breakfast peak hours. If I get the chance to visit Liuzhou again, I'll definitely stay at the Wyndham.

Yifang Landscape Hotel: Where poetry resides in every stay, a well-deserved five-star rating!
My stay at Yifang Landscape Hotel completely redefined my expectations for a vacation accommodation. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was enveloped in a sense of blissful immersion, as if walking through a painting. The hotel is nestled amidst mountains and water, with white walls and dark tiles blending seamlessly into the lush greenery. The lobby's garden-inspired design, complemented by perfectly placed art decor, is both simple and stylish. The fresh scent of the mountains filled the air, instantly melting away any travel fatigue.
And the guest room was an even bigger surprise! Spacious and bright, with a well-thought-out layout that allowed for smooth movement. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows brought the picturesque landscape directly into the room. Waking up to birdsong and gazing at the stars at night, I was fully immersed in the beauty of nature. The bedding was perfectly soft yet supportive, paired with excellent blackout curtains, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep every time. The bathroom featured a cleverly designed wet and dry separation, high-quality branded toiletries, and a stable 24-hour hot water supply. Even the hairdryer was high-powered – the attention to detail was truly impressive. Every corner of the room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was free of stains and odors, and the disinfected cups were perfectly packaged. The hygiene was simply impeccable.
The attentiveness of the service was also incredibly heartwarming. Check-in at the front desk was efficient and swift. The staff not only provided detailed information about the hotel's facilities but also proactively shared tips for exploring the surrounding area – professional and enthusiastic. Room service was prompt and responsive, with a gentle knock that never disturbed my rest.
From the environment and facilities to the service and hygiene, Yifang Landscape Hotel truly delivers a five-star experience, perfectly blending natural landscapes with comfortable accommodation. This trip was made even better by this hotel, and I will definitely choose it again without hesitation on my next visit. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a quality travel experience!

I have stayed at the Wyndham Baise Resort a few times during the past couple of years. This past week I stayed two nights with friends to celebrate my birthday. The hotel staff delivered a cake and card to my room, which was a sweet surprise. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There is always someone available who can speak English if you need it. We enjoy eating at the restaurant on the first floor which has a variety of good food to choose from. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is a pool and a sauna that we use every time we go. I love the view of the city and river from the window. A mall and some restaurants are in walking distance.

The service was excellent. The front desk staff saw that we had a child with us and thoughtfully moved us to a non-smoking room and even upgraded our stay. The bellhop not only helped with our luggage but also gave us a detailed overview of the hotel's amenities. When checking out, the lobby manager patiently looked after our bags. In short, the hotel staff's service was outstanding, very friendly, and enthusiastic – big thumbs up to them!
Secondly, the hotel's location is superb. It's right behind a bustling commercial area, which is incredibly convenient with a wide variety of shops and products – perfect for a shopping spree. The lobby is clean, bright, and has a pleasant aroma from the scented diffusers and fresh flowers. They also offer delicious fruit tea. The overall atmosphere is fantastic.
The room itself was also very satisfying. It felt quite modern with a unique layout and was spacious enough. The facilities are well-maintained. The gym is clean, tidy, bright, spacious, and well-equipped. The pool water was very clean and at a comfortable temperature. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the shower space was quite roomy. A housekeeper cleans the room daily.
Overall, the value for money is exceptional. If I had to choose again, I would definitely stay here. Highly recommended!

I came here alone to clear my head, and the hotel's location is absolutely perfect. The view from the window is stunning, and just looking at it made me feel so much better. I was surprised to find a super cute kids' play area – even though I was by myself, I couldn't resist checking it out, and it was so full of childlike charm, really therapeutic! The dining was an even bigger surprise; the dishes were plentiful and tasted amazing, with fresh ingredients and excellent texture. It completely exceeded my expectations. The service was thoughtful and attentive, and the room was clean and comfortable. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next trip!

GGuest UserHuge thanks to the front desk staff, their service was excellent! The room was spotless and clean, and the laundry room was very spacious, beautiful, and tidy. Choosing BO Hotel was truly a hidden gem! From cleanliness, environment, and service to facilities, everything was simply 'superb'. Xijie Street is right downstairs, yet the hotel room was incredibly quiet, offering a perfect balance of sightseeing and peaceful rest. Highly, highly recommend!
GGuest UserAdvantages: package pick-up, boss warm and friendly, quiet environment, with terrace. You can blow the air at night, and you can hear the sound of the waves and the sound of the wind blowing through the banana leaves. It is too convenient to watch the sunrise in the morning, and it takes a few minutes to walk to the southeast seaside. (Come to a hotel location map) Also, the hair dryer in the room is Leifen, which is very useful. It is very important for girls who wash their hair, who understands it. There is also a tram rental at the entrance of the hotel, which is super convenient for renting. In addition, the hotel decoration is American retro style, but the kind of time, very beautiful, but not time.
Disadvantages: The location of the hotel is slightly biased, it is not good to come back at night, and there is no food nearby. However, if you have a companion, there is no problem, and it is not tired to ride a tram. I don't live in the net red street but avoid noisy, in short, it is recommended. If you want a holiday, you can live here.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is conveniently located very close to West Street, within easy walking distance, and surrounded by many great dining options. The rooms are spotless, and the cleaning staff tidies up daily. The bedding is very comfortable, and having access to a washer and dryer is incredibly convenient. It offers excellent value for money. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Yangshuo!
GGuest UserStaying at the 'Poetry & Faraway Xiangshan Youyue Hotel' made me want to share this wonderful experience with everyone! ✨
It wasn't until I checked into Poetry & Faraway Xiangshan Youyue Hotel that I understood what it means to live life like a poem. Open the window and you're greeted by lush green mountains. The room is clean, bright, and every detail shows thoughtful care. The staff are warm and attentive, patiently explaining sightseeing routes. Definitely worth another visit. The complimentary afternoon tea was also a lovely touch, highly recommend!
Every corner of the hotel is picture-perfect, and you can enjoy slow living while discovering little surprises. This trip to Xiangshan was both relaxing and special! ✨

Very Good
GGuest UserHad an incredible stay here! The views are stunning (probably one of the best out of all the other accommodations nearby), the room was clean and the service was friendly. It's a family owned business and everyone is lovely. If you're taking a bus, it won't drop you all the way to the hotel but if you give the hotel a call, someone can come pick you up from the bus stop. I had a bit of a miscommunication with my previous hotel who arranged a coach for us that dropped us off at a very far away drop off point and someone still came and picked us up from there with no complaints (and did not charge us for it)!! We were also dropped back off at the bus stop on the day we left. No one spoke much English which made it a little harder, but we got by with a translator app. There are quite a few stairs to go up to get to the hotel which isn't great if you have lots of heavy luggage so I'd recommend packing lightly if possible. Having said that, if you have average fitness, you should be fine getting up and down the stairs, the trek is not too long. The views are definitely worth it! Would stay again for sure.

LLanlizhaozewusanguiThe scenery is beautiful, with an infinite ceiling. The location is excellent, just a stone's throw from the Big Banyan Tree scenic area, and you can reach it with a short walk. It's right next to the rafting endpoint, an unbeatable spot. The hotel's decor is incredibly well-done, really eye-catching. The 180-degree panoramic design allows the beautiful scenery to unfold completely before your eyes, leaving a lasting impression. I especially want to mention the hotel breakfast. Not only do you enjoy stunning views from the elevated fifth-floor setting, but the food is also highly commendable. I particularly recommend the rice noodles and coffee, as well as the monk fruit tea, which you can savor slowly and thoughtfully, truly experiencing life to the fullest.

HHaoyunlailyyThis hotel in Yangshuo was such a pleasant surprise! You get amazing mountain views right from your room. The rooftop 'Sky Mirror' offers stunning panoramic views of the winding Li River – it's like a built-in filter for your photos, every shot looks professional! The hotel's location is excellent, right next to West Street, making it super convenient for exploring and dining. Plus, there's free parking, which is a huge bonus if you're driving.
They offer a complimentary buffet breakfast, and the rooms are spacious. I loved relaxing on the balcony sofa during the day, just unwinding and enjoying the mountain scenery, and then watching the sunset in the evening – it felt like time just slowed down. The room I booked even had a soaking tub, and bathing while looking at the mountains was incredibly relaxing! For anyone looking to escape the city for a bit, a weekend here is truly rejuvenating!
HHufenghuanyuThe hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient to get around. You first take a direct elevator to the 80th-floor lobby to check in, which feels very grand and ceremonial. The lobby is clean, bright, and upscale. The Chinese New Year activities were also great; you could wear traditional ethnic costumes for photos. There's a special lighting ceremony at 6 PM. The room was very comfortable, with clean and cozy bedding. The swimming pool water temperature was just right, not cold at all when getting in. Overall, it was a good experience. I'd definitely choose Longguang Nalian again if I come to Nanning in the future.

JJinyinyanI chose this hotel based on its ratings, and I'm so glad I did! The service was incredibly warm and welcoming. They even upgraded my room for free, which was wonderfully spacious, well-equipped, and very clean. The breakfast was also excellent. The hotel has a kids' play area, a swimming pool, and a scenic observation deck, making our stay very satisfying. It's also super close to Elephant Trunk Hill; we could walk there, and there's a parking lot right at the entrance.

MMOFEI1205A hotel full of surprises, with an excellent location. There's a small gate that leads directly to Elephant Trunk Hill. We visited during the off-season, so it was very comfortable with fewer crowds. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, and the afternoon tea was also great. The room was spacious, and the kids absolutely loved it. Breakfast was very rich and delicious. My favorite part was the small courtyard – it was perfect for taking photos!
