I booked this room last minute for a trip with my parents and kids, and we had a really comfortable stay. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very clean. There was even a mahjong table, which was new and worked perfectly. The washing machine and refrigerator were a thoughtful touch and very well-equipped. From the balcony, we had an amazing view of the Starlight Night Market, the Golden Pagoda, and the river. The scenery was stunning! It was also very convenient to walk around, and there were plenty of great food options downstairs. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful with any questions we had. It's definitely a place worth returning to.

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank the owner for the wonderful BBQ Doufu gathering they organized for all the guests. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture, and it truly made our stay even more memorable. The effort they put into bringing everyone together, preparing the delicious food, and creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere did not go unnoticed. It was a joy to meet the other guests, share stories, and enjoy the fantastic BBQ Doufu in such a beautiful setting. Their hospitality and attention to detail made the evening truly special. This homestay is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience filled with warmth, care, and a sense of community. We are so grateful for the memories we’ve made here, and the BBQ gathering was the perfect highlight of our time. I will definitely recommend this homestay to others and hope to visit again in the future. Tan Wee Liang

The front desk staff were incredibly warm and patient, guiding us attentively throughout our stay, which left a fantastic impression. The hotel is conveniently located right opposite a park, offering lovely green views from the window – a true oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle. We got excellent rest. The room itself was clean, hygienic, and well-designed, making for a comfortable and reassuring stay. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

We loved the hotel!! The service was kind and first rate. The views and room were spectacular! We could enjoy the rice daddies without leaving the comfort of our room but getting out at the hotel and beyond was stunning, breathtaking. We will always return to this hotel when we return to Yuanyang!!!

Starting from good things. Room with private hot spring was nice and clean and bed and bed linen was great. Despite hot spring pool was leaking and needed to refill constantly. But no problem with that if water supply is turned on and you can operate yourself with valves. Hotel staff recommended many places for eating outside. Thanks for that! We arrived before check in time and asked to spend our time near the pool area which was not problem. When I was looking for toilet then lady from shop told to me that I should go outside the territory and use toilet which is for camper van people. And it was not toilet but old school ditch. Fortunately it was cleaned. Lot of things are in real life different than in pictures what you can find in web pages. Many hot springs was closed, on site was not operating restaurants and bars. Only you can order food from app or go outside. Area is under the airplanes take off route that means in daytime lot of noise. About 6pm domestic water supply was turned off and situation lasted until our leaving next day about 11am. Hotel staff wrote that if you want to use toilet I should let them know and they will find a solution. No shower or washing. Breakfast was simple. In the breakfast area is operational coffee machine but for some reason lady behind the table told that not possible and drink cold pre brewed ice coffee? I hope that it’s not connected with lack of water supply. Machine may be filled with purified bottle water not local tap water.

This hotel is located in the Gaozhuang scenic area, just a few minutes from the night market! Downstairs, there are all sorts of great food options, leisure activities, and massage services. Being right on the Lancang River, you get amazing, wide-open river views with plenty of natural light. The facilities are complete, the bedding is comfortable, and everything is clean! The hotel's breakfast restaurant also offers river views, and the breakfast spread is rich and varied. The front desk service is warm and attentive; they even gave us a welcome gift, which was a lovely touch! I sincerely recommend this place.

A great weekend!! Caught up with Mother's Day, I took my mother to rest for a day. I felt super relaxed from the moment I entered the hotel. The environment is beautiful and the green vegetation covers a large area. Before check-in, Miss Niki (?) contacted and arranged a room upgrade. I am super grateful🥹You can see the jacaranda and blue sky outside from the balcony and feel the wind. The quality of the double breakfast and lunch rice noodle set in the set is absolutely impeccable. There are various snacks. You can try all kinds of small bowls. Paoruda is the best😋The lemon and sour spicy chicken feet in the set are super delicious. I also went to the Chinese restaurant to take a portion home before leaving. Thanks to every staff member I met, including but not limited to Brother Cai Liping at the front desk, Brother Gu Dezhong in the Western restaurant, and a small but energetic lady in the Chinese restaurant (I met her at noon on 5.9/10). I hope I didn’t write everyone’s name wrong🙈 See you next time! ! Definitely come again!

A perfect stay! As a five-star hotel, the service was consistently excellent throughout. From the efficient and convenient check-in to the thoughtful daily room tidying, every detail was handled with care. The staff, especially Louise, was incredibly kind and professional. The room itself was spacious, elegantly decorated, and showed great attention to detail, making for a truly comfortable stay. The hotel views were absolutely stunning, offering picturesque scenes of snowy mountains and morning mist at dawn, and breathtaking sunsets in the evening – perfect for photos! The dining experience was also impressive; the authentic Yunnanese dishes for dinner were delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The hotel's location is super convenient, making it easy to explore the ancient city and other attractions. It perfectly blends a serene, resort-like feel with easy access to everything. Overall, the experience far exceeded my expectations. I've already recommended it to friends. Definitely a five-star rating!

The hotel staff had an excellent service attitude! They helped me upgrade to a larger room. The guy at the front desk even helped me carry my super heavy luggage up to the second floor when I arrived, and pushed it for me when I left—I'm so grateful! The front desk lady with short hair was also very kind, always smiling gently and speaking softly. Communication was always easy if I had any questions. The hotel's hygiene was great, and the view from the window was quite beautiful. The guesthouse had a cozy and atmospheric vibe. It was completely quiet at night, though there was a little noise during the day. They also gave me a lot of fruit (more than the welcome fruit amenity at five-star hotels!). The location was also very convenient, close to everything. If you're going to the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, you can take a bus from the nearby tourist distribution center (25 RMB). There are also many makeup and styling shops around, and the Starlight Night Market is very close. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I will definitely come back!

This is a great hotel that's not only well-designed but also provides excellent service. The hotel offers a convenient buggy service from the lobby to all the rooms, and the concierge staff are very responsible and polite. The bedding is comfortable and clean. The bathroom design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also thoughtfully provides privacy. We were a party of three, so we requested an extra bed, which was already set up for us before we even arrived. The private hot spring pool was sanitized, making it comfortable and reassuring to use. We could even enjoy views of Dongfengyun directly from our room's hot spring – absolutely fantastic! My only minor suggestion would be to offer a wider variety of dining options. **Dongfengyun Characteristic Town Tickets and Sightseeing Car Tickets:** The hotel's sightseeing car offers direct pick-up and drop-off to the scenic area, which is very convenient. **5 Retouched Digital Photos for Travel Photography (advance booking required):** The photo quality was excellent, and the photographer was very professional 👍. The composition and pose guidance were spot-on. I loved them so much that I paid to purchase additional unedited photos.

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this brand-new hotel (opened in 2024), and it was such a nice experience. If you want a place with lots of extras, this is it. They have two pool tables, a small rooftop pool, and two gyms—one for yoga and Pilates with all the equipment, and another with treadmills, bikes, free weights, and even a Smith machine. There’s also a laundry room with washers, which was really handy. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, but you’ll want to arrive early to get the best selection. The staff were all very friendly, but Fei Xiu (绯袖) on WeChat was especially helpful—she answered all my questions quickly and made everything easy. The location isn’t right on the riverbank near the Starlight Market, but it’s not far from tourist spots either. It’s actually in a good spot if you want a quieter stay while still being close enough to everything. If you’re looking for a modern, well-equipped hotel with great service, I’d definitely recommend this one!

UUlysess444The hotel's facilities and services are excellent, with many thoughtful details that really show they care about guests. The way to activate the power is unique; instead of inserting a card into a narrow slot, you place it on a tray with a groove at the bottom, which is much simpler, especially in dim lighting. There are plenty of hangers and various surfaces to place your belongings. The smart room control system is very user-friendly, allowing individual control of lights in different areas. The 'disposable' slippers are fantastic – clean, comfortable, and environmentally friendly. The room has a mix of wooden flooring and small area rugs, offering the comfort of a carpet while being easy to keep clean, which is much better than fully carpeted rooms. The toilet is the best I've encountered in a hotel; the heated seat is just the right temperature, not too hot, and the flush is quiet yet very effective. While the wide front of the seat and the automatic sensor for opening and closing the lid aren't groundbreaking features, they significantly enhance the user experience. The shower controls are a bit unique, with two separate switches for the handheld and overhead showerheads. This means you can't control water flow and temperature simultaneously, but you get used to it. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be the toilet paper – it lacks elasticity and tears easily.

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made. The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car. When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff. The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion. This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time! One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay. Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.

PpinkrippleThere is free pick-up from the airport, and there is a shuttle bus for visiting Gaozhuang. It is very convenient and the service is very good. There is also a swimming pool on the roof, and the environment is very good, especially the night view. The breakfast is generally good, with quite a lot of variety. I really like their rice noodles. The laundry room is a bit run down, so if there's nothing special about it, try not to use it.

GGuest UserWhen traveling to Jianshui with friends, this particularly new and excellent hotel was our first choice. Although it's newly opened, there was no lingering smell of renovation in the rooms. It has its own parking lot, which is very convenient for those with cars. The lobby is bright and airy, with great photo opportunities in every corner, including a specially designed Republic of China-style photo spot. The hotel environment is clean and tidy, and the rooms are impeccably maintained. The receptionist even upgraded our room, providing attentive and thoughtful service. The breakfast was also plentiful, with complimentary breakfast and late-night snacks provided – a very considerate gesture. Unfortunately, our itinerary changed at the last minute, so we only had one night to experience it. Next time I'm in Jianshui, I'll definitely stay and enjoy it more. Overall, I applaud my choice of this hotel.

MM44863****Highly recommended! This hotel in Xishuangbanna absolutely nailed the resort vibe. The 2500-square-meter super large pool on the 3rd floor is incredibly photogenic. We spent the afternoon swimming and gazing at the blue sky, and in the evening, there were fountain shows – the atmosphere was just perfect! The one-on-one butler service was incredibly thoughtful, taking care of airport/train station transfers and responding to all our needs, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. Breakfast on the 17th floor offered a wide variety, and eating while enjoying the scenery was pure bliss. The 'treasure box' by the elevator, robot delivery, smart home features, high-quality bathroom amenities, and well-equipped gym – the attention to detail really impressed me! You can enjoy free Pu'er tea and unlimited self-service ice cream in the lobby. Plus, it's just a 10-minute walk to the Starlight Night Market. It's also great for a workation. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Xishuangbanna!

1118109****This is a newly opened hotel. **Facilities:** New, though some items are of lower quality, like the kettle. They have automatic toilets. **Hygiene:** Clean. **Environment:** Spacious and grand. **Service:** Enthusiastic. The breakfast is plentiful and offers great value for money. They offer three meals a day, and even though I didn't have time to try them all, I could sense the owner's generosity and pioneering spirit. I sincerely hope their management improves, and their business thrives.

AAnonymous UserDidn't take any pictures, so I'll borrow two from other reviews. I rarely write hotel reviews, but this time, while visiting Pu'er, I stayed at two hotels, and it really highlights how much comparison matters. This was the first one I stayed at, and honestly, I had a feeling the experience wouldn't be great even before arriving. My booked room supposedly included free airport pickup. I proactively called the front desk to book it in advance. They asked me to add the hotel's WeChat, but their replies were very cold. Regarding the pickup, they said they couldn't come at our arrival time due to a group charter or some other reason, and told us to take a taxi to the hotel, which the front desk would reimburse. I said I understood. However, when we arrived at the hotel in our own taxi, I saw two hotel shuttle vans sitting empty right outside the entrance. Honestly, if they don't want to offer this service, they shouldn't advertise it. To advertise it and then not provide it, based on the front desk's mood, is really baffling. As for the front desk staff's attitude, it felt lukewarm at best, not particularly professional or enthusiastic. The uncle making noodles at the breakfast restaurant was actually much friendlier. It was a stark contrast to the front desk staff at the next hotel we stayed at, where the young men and women at reception were professional and welcoming. Saying 'home away from home' might be an exaggeration, but at least they made guests feel very comfortable checking in. Also, the room didn't feel very spacious. Right behind the door, there was a wad of used tissue that hadn't been cleaned up. Overall, aside from the reception attitude (I'm not saying it was outright bad, but for a 300+ RMB per night room, we didn't even hear a 'welcome' or anything similar throughout our stay, so the experience was definitely mediocre) and the airport pickup, which I found subpar, everything else was fine. The hotel's location is good.

OOris7643Our friend recommended this amazing guesthouse at the entrance of Yuhu Village, and the meticulous care and attention truly exceeded our expectations. They don't treat you like a distant 'god,' but rather like a caring friend who anticipates your every need and even goes beyond. Firstly, they ensure your arrival and departure are hassle-free; since we booked for two nights, they provided pick-up and drop-off from the train station and airport. Secondly, it's a 'one night, two meals, and one afternoon tea' package, meaning breakfast and dinner are included. The Laxi spare rib hotpot for dinner was so generous we couldn't finish it all, and the afternoon tea starting at 2:30 PM is substantial enough to fill you up even if you skip lunch – it's practically three meals a day! There's also 24/7 complimentary coffee, milk tea, and various soft drinks, plus unlimited fresh fruit, so you'll never know what hunger feels like. The rooms are ultra-modern, with Xiao Du (smart assistant) always ready to serve, and aromatherapy candles to help you relax. Daily activities are plentiful too: forest foraging, horseback riding, Naxi traditional weaving, making roasted milk tea, and crafting – you won't get bored even if you just stay at the hotel. You can also opt for a paid activity like horseback riding and hiking in the Grand Canyon for a close encounter with Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. In short, you won't be disappointed.
