Hotel near Airport,Hong Kong 8.6% of visitors choose this area

I chose this hotel for a concert at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE), and it's super close to both the airport and AWE. You can walk to AWE in just a few minutes via the skybridge. They also have shuttle buses to the airport and Tung Chung. The service was excellent; I arrived a little after 9 AM, and since a room was ready, the front desk let me check in right away. The breakfast buffet had a good variety, pretty standard fare. The downside is that the room was really, really small. As soon as I walked in, there was a strong musty smell. The sink and the bed were separated only by a small table. The room window was tiny and couldn't be opened, and the air conditioning wouldn't turn off, making it quite cold. Also, there were at least four mirrors in the room, with three of them facing the bed.

Arrived late at night and was pleasantly surprised to wake up to a sea view after opening the curtains. The room was quite spacious and well-equipped, even with a power adapter for charging. There were plenty of mirrors, and the bathroom even had a vanity table. The windows were sealed, so you couldn't open them for a breeze, and the exhaust fan had to be on constantly. The major issue was the strong musty smell coming from the drawer in the entryway. I just casually opened it to put some things away and was hit with a very noticeable moldy odor. I'd seen reviews mentioning a musty smell, but I didn't notice it upon check-in. Then, the next night, I opened the drawer again and was overwhelmed by the smell. Is this a common problem with wooden cabinets? I really hope the hotel addresses this odor issue, especially since so many people have reported it. Overall, my stay was quite good, right up until I opened that drawer.

Stayed at Regal Airport Hotel recently. Being the only hotel directly connected to Hong Kong International Airport, the location is definitely very convenient for transit and early flights. The rooms are quite old and could use some refurbishment, but the room size is still excellent — spacious enough even for 4 guests comfortably. One area that could be improved is the walking distance within the hotel/access areas. It may not be very elderly-friendly, especially considering the hotel is positioned at a premium price range. Providing buggy/cart services would greatly improve guest convenience and overall experience. On the positive side, the breakfast was really good with a healthy variety of choices. Overall, still a practical and comfortable choice for airport travellers and families.

Overall, my stay was quite good. Before checking in, I'd seen reviews online mentioning that the facilities were a bit old, but I actually found them to be perfectly acceptable. The only minor issue was that the air conditioning made a noticeable sound when running, but I found it tolerable. The room size was quite spacious, and the layout was very practical. It was also very clean. The service was polite, and they even accommodated a request I made when booking. When I checked in, I asked for a room with a better view, and they immediately upgraded me to a higher floor. Also, I had read online that the room type I booked required showering in the bathtub, but there was actually a separate shower stall, so I assume I got an upgrade, which was very nice!

Due to some reasons, I had to book two separate nights. Before checking in, I was prepared to check out and then check back in again, but to my surprise, when I arrived at the front desk, the staff noticed I had another night booked and proactively offered to extend my stay in the same room type. I'm incredibly grateful for that! The hotel's location is also great; it's just a short walk from the Wan Chai MTR station, and it's not too far to stroll over to Causeway Bay for some shopping. Although the room was small, it had everything I needed.

Had a wonderful stay. The experience from check in to check out was smooth and pleasant. The staff were extremely polite, professional, and always ready to help with any requests, which made the stay even more comfortable. My room on 30th floor had an amazing view of the city and harbour, especially at night. The room was clean, cozy and well maintained with all the necessary amenities provided. The location is convenient and well connected, making it easy to explore Hong Kong.

I booked through Trip.com a few days in advance, but to my surprise, the price dropped by over 400 (HKD/RMB) on the day itself. Overall, my Hong Kong trip arranged through Trip.com left me with some unpleasant feelings. The hotel front desk staff were very friendly and professional, and they upgraded my room for two days (many thanks again!). When I contacted Trip.com's customer service about the booking, they responded by saying the order couldn't be canceled but they would actively work on a solution. The hotel shares property with another Sheraton. I didn't notice this during check-in and went to the wrong front desk, but thankfully, the staff politely directed me to the correct one next door. This Sheraton seems to have more compact facilities, suitable for business travelers who need a quick layover. Our flight was at 7:45 AM, and we chose this hotel because the early shuttle bus starts at 5:45 AM. It's worth noting that the Four Points by Sheraton does not have a fitness center or swimming pool. If you have a regular exercise routine, you should be aware of this. Using the fitness center at the adjacent Sheraton incurs an additional charge of HKD 200. I'm grateful to the housekeeping staff on my floor; when I changed into my workout clothes and was about to head to the gym, I asked them about it. The room cleaning was excellent. When I returned, it was spotless, as if no one had stayed there. The hotel adheres to a sustainable philosophy, so there's no bottled water in the room. This has pros and cons; being eco-friendly is good, but it does sacrifice guest convenience. Installing a water purification system in every room would be expensive (the Shangri-La in Tsim Sha Tsui has them). For a two-day stay costing over 2000 (HKD/RMB), if you don't bring your own water bottle, you'll have to take the small hotel cup to the distant elevator lobby to get water. Of course, if you're willing to buy a souvenir cup, the hotel room has insulated mugs for sale... Breakfast was decent; it had everything you'd expect. The hotel's shuttle bus was very convenient, which was a bonus. You can hear planes taking off and landing from the room, so there is some noise. If you want to mitigate it, don't turn off the air conditioning.

The Royal Garden Hotel is right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. I first stayed there back in 1999 when I visited Hong Kong, and I remember thinking how beautiful it was, especially the rooftop pool – absolutely stunning! The hotel's atrium restaurant, with its soaring, open-plan design spanning over ten floors, was also impressive. I've stayed at The Royal Garden several times since, and even on my most recent visit, it still felt remarkably new! Fantastic value for money.

I was very happy with the room; it was clean and quite spacious for a Hong Kong hotel. The gentleman with glasses at the front desk who checked me in (I didn't catch his name) provided excellent service. My room wasn't ready yet, but he managed to find me one that met my requests, which was great. The breakfast was decent and matched the room rate, so no complaints there. The hotel's location is perfect; it's so convenient for getting around, and there are tons of restaurants right downstairs. I highly recommend Xue Ji Li Ji and Lu Ba E; we ate at both for two consecutive days! We also tried the exciting Dutch Trail hike nearby, which my husband and I really enjoyed – it was full of wilderness charm. I'd recommend it to fellow hikers; just wear appropriate athletic gear, sun protection, insect repellent, and bring plenty of water. I'll definitely book the Hopewell Hotel again on my next visit to Hong Kong.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for dining, entertainment, and shopping. The A11 bus to the airport is also not far away. It's just a 5-minute walk to the MTR station. The room was clean, though admittedly not large, but perfectly fine for two people. Considering the area, the price was very reasonable. I'd definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserFacilities: The facilities felt a bit dated, and the room decor was old, but for the price in Hong Kong, I can't really complain. The room lighting wasn't very bright, quite dim, and the curtains couldn't open completely. There was no bottled water, only a kettle of water provided. Hygiene: So-so. It felt like the bathtub had a fair amount of dust that hadn't been cleaned properly. Environment: It's quite close to both Causeway Bay and Tin Hau MTR stations, less than a ten-minute walk. You don't need to cross a footbridge to get to Tin Hau station, but you do for Causeway Bay, though there's an escalator for easy access. The hotel location is excellent, with convenience stores, McDonald's, Don Don Donki, IKEA, MUJI, and local tea restaurants nearby. Eslite Bookstore and Ichiran Ramen are also just a 10-15 minute walk away. You can even see a corner of Victoria Harbour from the room. Service: All the staff I encountered spoke Mandarin, and I didn't experience anyone intentionally avoiding it. However, the queueing rules for check-in on the first floor were a bit rigid. A deposit was required for check-in, which was a bit inconvenient as it only accepted Hong Kong dollar cash or credit card. For a two-night stay, toothpaste, toothbrushes, slippers, and drinking water were not replenished.

BbeibeiloveseaComing to Hong Kong this time, I searched for many hotels on Trip.com, but most rooms were tiny and the facilities were outdated. I finally decided to stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel Hong Kong, and as soon as I entered, I was blown away by the sea-view room on the first floor with a large balcony! Stepping out, you're greeted by an endless expanse of clear blue sea – the view is absolutely stunning! 🌊 At night, I enjoyed the sea breeze on the balcony, watching the starry sky, eating fruit, and having drinks. It was so relaxing I didn't want to leave. Getting around from the hotel is super convenient; there's a free shuttle bus directly to the MTR station, making it easy to go shopping, explore, and try out all the amazing local food. The buffet breakfast was a bit simple, so don't have high expectations. Once you're near the MTR station, there are so many Hong Kong delicacies that you'll wish you had more stomachs to try them all. The hotel offers a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, with a healing sea view and excellent value for money. The experience was fantastic, and it's definitely on my must-stay list for my next visit to Hong Kong. I'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserThe room hygiene was a bit disappointing. I always stay at this hotel whenever I visit Hong Kong, but this time the experience wasn't great. The bedsheet had a pretty large stain, and there were many stains on the carpet all over the room. The soundproofing was also very poor; I could hear people talking loudly in the hallway. However, the hotel staff were polite and the service was good.

LlamlllThe hotel is nestled at the foot of the mountain, offering a tranquil environment away from the hustle and bustle of areas near MTR stations. However, it's about a 20-minute walk to Central/Admiralty MTR stations, or a 6-7 minute taxi ride (around HKD 20-35). We were assigned a room on the 28th floor facing Central, and the view was absolutely stunning. We had a complete panoramic view of the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, the US Consulate, the Peak Tram Terminus, Government House, and even the distant Bank of China Tower, Standard Chartered Bank Building, and IFC. The staff were all very warm, friendly, and accommodating. They even helped bring up our food deliveries to the room. The room cleanliness was excellent. The soundproofing, however, was average; we could hear louder noises from upstairs and next door. In the mornings, we could also hear the birds chirping from the Zoological and Botanical Gardens below. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, but there was a kitchen available for cooking. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for something a bit more unique. Compared to 5-star and 4-star hotels near MTR stations, this place offers a really good stay.

MMIKOjinliyouRoom Environment: My 'premium room' with frosted, non-opening windows turned out to be a 'cemetery view room' or 'mountain view room,' right next to the Hong Kong Cemetery. It was surprisingly quiet though. I imagine a city view room might be a bit noisy since it's by an elevated highway. Cleanliness: Not great. I felt like the countertops weren't wiped down, there were water stains everywhere, and I even found a long hair from a previous guest on the wall. Facilities: Besides the disposable toiletries, they provide basic amenities like a fridge, hairdryer, makeup mirror, kettle, and even hand soap and body lotion. However, everything is quite old; even the plastic cups had scratches on the inside. On the bright side, there's a free pinball machine downstairs which was pretty fun. Service: The front desk staff were okay, and they spoke Mandarin which was helpful. You have to buy toiletries yourself from a vending machine downstairs, and there's no water dispenser in the room; you have to get water from one in the hallway. If your room is near the dispenser, you'll definitely hear people filling their bottles. Value for Money: If it were around 500 RMB, a cemetery view room would be great value. But I booked three weeks in advance for over 700 RMB, and it was non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and I couldn't even change the guest name. Then, closer to the May Day holiday, the price was practically cut in half! So, keep an eye on the pricing when you book.

DDongdongmamaFacilities: Great! The super large double beds are perfect for families traveling with children. Hygiene: I didn't notice anything amiss! Environment: It's by the sea, and the ocean view is beautiful, but transportation isn't very convenient; you'll mostly rely on taxis. Service: Pretty good, actually! The front desk, breakfast, and room service were all great! Free hotel shuttle bus service: I used it once. If you're not in a hurry, you can take it to the subway station for onward travel!

AAnonymous UserThis stay at the Harbour Grand Hong Kong's Deluxe Twin Room was excellent. The room was clean and tidy, and for Hong Kong standards, quite spacious. The beds were comfortable. Although it wasn't a newly renovated room, it didn't impact the stay at all. The most pleasant surprise was the hotel's location. It's incredibly convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, making it perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I especially want to commend Michael, the Sales Director. He was enthusiastic and polite, actively helping me resolve issues and providing practical dining recommendations. He also thoroughly explained all the discounts available with the hotel room key card, which was very thoughtful. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with excellent service. Next time, I'll definitely try one of their newly renovated signature rooms, looking forward to an even more upgraded experience. Five stars!
