Great location! I've been to Hong Kong many times, but this was my first stay in Causeway Bay, and it was a really good experience. The room was very spacious and even had a partial sea view. The value for money here is outstanding. The 'ding ding' tram stop is right downstairs. The downsides are that it's a bit old; the first day the bath towel had a stain, and the second day it had a hole. Also, a minor issue is that being close to the road, the traffic lights downstairs make a faint 'ding ding' sound all night. If you're a light sleeper, it might be a slight disturbance. Overall, I'd go again and would recommend it to friends.

The location is fantastic, right above Hung Hom, and very close to the MTR station. When I arrived, Jacky Cheung happened to be having a concert downstairs. The room was super big! You wouldn't imagine such a spacious room in high-rent Hong Kong just by looking at the pictures. There's also a microwave and an induction cooker, so you can prepare your own food. However, due to an environmental policy, disposable items like toothbrushes need to be purchased separately from the front desk (I chose to buy non-disposable ones from Don Quijote). The hairdryer was a bit hard to find, tucked away in the wardrobe behind the bathroom. The room was a bit dim without a main light. Although check-out is at 11 AM, they're not strict about the time. Storing luggage at the front desk was also very simple and quick.

The facilities are quite old. There isn't a single power outlet next to the bed, though there is a power strip available. To charge devices, you have to flip open a cover under the TV, which is inconvenient. There's a slight musty smell in the corner of the large bed closest to the shower. However, the shower room does have a heater. Both the customer service and the waitstaff were very polite. I accidentally left for the airport without returning my room card. When I called to explain, the customer service representative just said, 'Welcome back next time!' I felt a little embarrassed about it. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the facilities. Eating out nearby is quite convenient, and there's also a commercial area across the river. If I'm ever in Sha Tin to watch the horse races again, I'd consider staying here.

Arrived in Hong Kong and chose this hotel for our first night's layover. The free shuttle bus service to and from the airport was incredibly convenient! Plus, on our second day, there was also a direct shuttle to the Disneyland park entrance, which was a huge help. The hotel front desk staff were very nice; seeing we had a child with us, they upgraded us to a suite, saying it would be more comfortable with the extra space – much appreciated! Everything from cleanliness, environment, to location was excellent! I'll definitely choose this hotel again for early morning or late night flights when I'm back in Hong Kong.

This suite is incredibly spacious for Hong Kong standards, featuring a living room, a kitchen, and two separate bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom, making it perfect for family trips or even two couples traveling together. Downstairs, there's a small mall, convenience stores, and plenty of dining options, all super convenient. It's also very close to the MTR, making getting around a breeze. The hotel even provided complimentary welcome fruit, which was a lovely touch.

Giving this a five-star review today, mostly for the excellent service, as the facilities are a bit dated due to the hotel having been open for many years. However, the staff were absolutely wonderful! My suitcase had a problem and wouldn't open. I struggled with it for ages, and even the seller couldn't fix it. But this young man, without saying much, managed to fix it in just a couple of moves, really saving me in a pinch. He was great! 🥳

Traveling with a child on a layover, this hotel was incredibly convenient. It's just a short walk from the airport. The room was quite spacious too. I saw reviews praising the coffee in the cafe, so I tried it, and it was excellent. My child got free cookies, and I ended up buying some more as gifts. Check-in was a bit crowded, probably because several flights had just arrived. Check-out was very smooth, and they even offered express service. Oh, and the hotel also provides free universal adapters; you just scan a QR code, and customer service delivers it to your door. They don't provide bottled water, but they offer free glass bottles, and drinking water stations are available in the hallway, which is both eco-friendly and practical. Overall, a great experience!

I chose this hotel out of several five-star options because I was attending a concert, and the service from the staff was genuinely excellent. Everyone greeted us with a smile. We were very lucky to be upgraded to an 80-square-meter sea-view suite. The room facilities were also great, with complimentary drinks and snacks, plus a 360-degree sea view – truly fortunate! We also had free breakfast, afternoon tea, and access to the executive lounge. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

Came to Hong Kong for the Standard Chartered Marathon and chose this hotel considering its value for money. Unexpectedly, it was a fantastic surprise! The hotel is very close to the airport bus stop and not far from the MTR station, making transportation incredibly convenient! It's right across the harbor from Kai Tak Sports Park, where I picked up my race kit, and you can easily get there by ferry, which is also super convenient! The hotel is also close to the marathon finish line, so after the race, I could just stroll back, shower, and rest up – it was amazing! The overall facilities were better than expected, the room was quite spacious, and the service was warm and friendly. The restaurant and lounge on the top floor offer stunning night views!

Hotel near Central and Admiralty,Hong Kong 6.4% of visitors choose this area

The room was quite spacious overall, and it was cleaned daily. The shower in my room also had a bathtub, which was great for a relaxing soak. However, Hong Kong nights in January can be a bit chilly, and the hotel's blankets were thinner than what you'd find in mainland China, plus the air conditioning wasn't very effective, so make sure to bundle up. Transportation is also very convenient. I strongly advise against walking uphill. From Central MTR Exit D, head to Pedder Street and take bus 12A. Get off at the YWCA stop, then walk towards the gas station. There's a glass side door that leads directly to the hotel reception. Note that bus 12A is a circular route. After boarding at the stop near the MTR station, it will pause at Admiralty Station; just wait for it to depart. I highly recommend visiting the Zoological and Botanical Gardens directly across the street in the morning. The birdsong is lovely, and around 8 AM, the monkeys in their enclosure all start calling out together, which is quite interesting.

LLiz-yuanThis hotel offers great value for money in Hong Kong. After carefully sifting through options, I booked the GuangDong Hotel, feeling a bit nervous due to some negative reviews. However, I was very satisfied with my stay, so go ahead and book with confidence! I didn't dare book the most basic room, opting for the 'Oasis' instead, and they kindly upgraded me to a 'Sky' room free of charge. The bedding was very clean, and the shower had great water pressure. The provided toothbrushes were of good quality, and the mini-fridge drinks along with two daily bottles of water were complimentary. The front desk service was excellent. The lobby was a bit small, with the coffee shop taking up some space, but they offered free coffee vouchers. The hotel's location is its biggest advantage; it's super convenient for the MTR, tram, and buses. There are also many restaurants nearby with a wide variety of choices. I highly recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserThe room is spacious enough! The sea view from the window is so refreshing! Plus, there's a shuttle bus right outside that goes directly to Tsuen Wan and Tsuen Wan West Station, which is super convenient! I've booked it twice in a row for my trips to Hong Kong in the past 2.5 years, what more can I say!

Ssky3014Overall, it was a great stay. The location is super convenient, making it easy to get to Victoria Harbour and other attractions. Right next door is the Grand Century Place mall, so you have plenty of dining options. The hotel's environment and cleanliness were also good. We chose a room with a 1.5-meter bed, which is quite rare for Hong Kong. Essential toiletries like toothbrushes, shampoo, and body wash were all provided, so there was no need to bring our own. One of the best things about Hong Kong is that you don't need to buy bottled water; we didn't buy any water during our four-day trip. Just carry a reusable water bottle, and you can refill it almost anywhere, which is very convenient and eco-friendly – definitely something to learn from. The only minor issue we had was on the first night; we were given a room with a connecting door, and the soundproofing was terrible. The family next door had three noisy kids who kept us up until late, so we didn't get much sleep. However, the hotel was very accommodating and moved us to a quieter room the next day.

AAnonymous UserI will definitely stay again because the front desk Carissa is so kind that I decided to show confidence on Shangrila again. The newly renovated room is super clean that I don’t have to worry about bugs which seem to be quite awful all over the 5-star hotel rooms in HK according to guests reviews. Cleaning lady is very kind and polite. Only the Christmas gifts saleslady needs to be more helpful for customers. One waiter at the horizon club is not very friendly.

GGuest UserThis hotel, newly opened in 2024, offers Chinese-speaking staff. The rooms are incredibly spacious, quiet, and spotlessly clean, with all facilities and equipment being brand new. Each room features a direct drinking water tap, a capsule coffee machine, a fully functional microwave, an iron and ironing board, and a great hairdryer. The carpets are dust-free, and the service is excellent. We received complimentary welcome fruits, chocolates, and wine, making it fantastic value for money. The hotel's surroundings are very well-equipped. There's a large supermarket on the 15th floor and a shopping mall downstairs. Transportation is convenient; it's about a 5-minute walk to Wan Chai MTR station and the Ding Ding Tram stop. Wan Chai Pier is approximately a 15-minute walk via an elevated walkway from Wan Chai MTR station. Many delicious eateries are nearby, including Boston, Wah So, Yung Gor, Le Ramen, and Rishan. The only area for improvement is the breakfast. While it appears to offer many choices, it actually doesn't. Eggs, for instance, account for 5 or 6 items: boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, omelets, mushroom scrambled eggs, fried eggs… The stir-fried noodles were particularly bad – truly unpalatable, almost as if they were deliberately cooked that way. The boiled noodles and pasta weren't good either, and the baby cabbage was a bit pungent and lacked freshness. The various fish balls and beef balls served with the noodles were okay. It's really tough for anyone wanting a tasty and hot noodle/rice/vermicelli dish for breakfast. Hot dishes are also scarce, with meat and vegetarian options being almost identical every day. The breakfast is severely overpriced; you'd be better off eating at a local 'cha chaan teng' or Cafe de Coral outside.

I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Hong Kong!

DDadadaHHYFor this trip to Hong Kong Disneyland, I chose the Explorer's Lodge, mainly because I wanted to get back to the hotel quickly to rest after a day of fun. The hotel is located right next to Disneyland and offers a shuttle service. The hotel's decor has an adventurous theme, which I personally think is the best among the three Disney hotels. The rooms here are quite spacious for Hong Kong standards, featuring two 1.5m beds, which could even accommodate four people. The cleanliness was excellent, with clean and tidy bedding, and the overall room environment was very good. We upgraded to a sea view room, offering views of the courtyard and the sea, and the sea view was lovely on a clear day. The hotel service was generally good, and communication in Mandarin was absolutely no problem. Coincidentally, it was Hong Kong Disneyland's 20th anniversary, and the hotel rooms even had small gifts that guests could take home. The hotel restaurants are a bit pricey, but the breakfast and set meals at Chart Room Cafe were quite good.
