This B&B positions itself as a boutique hotel, not just a regular guesthouse. From the moment you step in, you know it's something special – an artist's entrance, with an artistic atmosphere permeating every corner. The details are meticulously crafted. Many guests here are international tourists and discerning travelers who appreciate quality. It's no exaggeration to say this is the most thoughtful and attentive service I've ever experienced. 📍Location: 50 meters from the East Gate, 7-seater shuttle service provided The B&B is about 50 meters from the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, making park access incredibly convenient. However, because it's so close to the scenic area, it's located in a restricted zone. ⚠️ You MUST use Didi (ride-hailing app) to get directly to the B&B's doorstep. Plus, the hotel offers a 7-seater shuttle service, so transportation is a breeze for families. It's also easy to find restaurants after leaving the park, as the area around the East Gate is full of eateries. 🛏️Bathtub King Room: Refined Down to the Details We stayed in a bathtub king room. The room isn't huge but is exquisite in every detail. The bedding is comfortable, and a relaxing soak in the tub at night washes away all the day's fatigue. Manxin was the third boutique hotel I chose for my trip to Hunan. It's located in a village nestled in the mountains. The owner leased nearly a hundred acres of land to create the idyllic farm he envisioned. Several two-story buildings are artfully scattered amidst rice paddies and lotus ponds. An infinity pool offers unparalleled views of the distant mountains. The rice seedlings have just been planted, and in a few months, one can truly experience the scene described by Xin Qiji: 'A bountiful harvest is spoken of amidst the fragrance of rice flowers, as the croaking of frogs fills the air.' **Environment:** The hotel's environment is exceptional. Surrounded by distant mountains, perched on a gentle slope, every room offers expansive views of lush greenery. The rice fields are close by, and at night, the sound of frogs fills the air. Each room boasts a large balcony. Sitting there, breathing in the fresh mountain air, sipping a cup of tea or coffee, time seems to slow down. **Hygiene:** The hotel's hygiene is top-notch. Despite being surrounded by farmland, there are surprisingly no mosquitoes or other insects in the rooms, which is quite rare. **Facilities:** As a meticulously crafted guesthouse, it offers all the amenities of a high-end hotel, especially the infinity pool with its unbeatable mountain views – truly an inspired touch. Of course, as a 'wild luxury' (my own definition) hotel, to encourage guests to truly reconnect with nature, the rooms intentionally lack televisions. This thoughtful decision is commendable! **Service:** Being far from the city, service is particularly important for guests. The hotel provides dedicated butlers who promptly address guests' questions and requests. Their efficiency is high, usually responding to guests almost immediately. The hotel offers complimentary airport/train station transfers, as well as unlimited complimentary transfers to the Zimu Pass (middle gate) of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, which is incredibly helpful for guests. **In summary:** This is a uniquely positioned hotel. For travelers who love nature, appreciate peace and a slower pace, and have high standards for hotel quality, this hotel is definitely worth a short stay. **Final Suggestion:** Given its rural location, its own farmland, and the fact that it raises poultry and bees, the hotel should further leverage its unique advantages in terms of ingredients and cuisine. It could also appropriately guide local farmers to cultivate organic vegetables, fruits, and various eco-friendly produce, making a beneficial contribution to rural revitalization. I believe some guests would appreciate this.

A very unique and memorable stay in Zhangjiajie! We stayed 2 nights in the Morning Glow King Suite Bedroom. The highlight of this homestay is its cave concept. The reception area is huge, impressive, and beautifully designed, creating a real wow factor upon arrival. The property also features a cave restaurant where breakfast is served, and dinner can be arranged with advance booking. There is also a cosy cave lounge for guests to relax. Our room was large, comfortable, and very clean. The facilities were well maintained and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Location is excellent. The homestay is hidden behind the famous theatre performance venue but only a short walk to the main street, making it convenient while remaining quiet. Highly recommended for travellers looking for a unique accommodation experience in Zhangjiajie. The cave setting alone makes it worth staying here.

Staying at Four Seasons Creek Side was the best decision we made for our Zhangjiajie trip! The hotel is located right next to Baofeng Lake. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in and check-out were both very efficient. They even provided free high-speed rail station pickup and transfers to the East Gate of the Forest Park, accommodating all our needs. The location is also super convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit. Highly recommended!

We booked this property through Trip.com because it was advertised as Avatar Mountain Resort, with promotional photos and social media posts showcasing spectacular mountain views. Unfortunately, our experience was quite different. The biggest issue was simply finding the hotel. None of the major local apps, including Amap and Didi, recognized the property as “Avatar Mountain Resort.” After arriving at the airport, we had to contact the hotel directly. They asked us to connect via WeChat and sent us the address in Chinese. Only then did Amap and Didi recognize the location under the name “Zhangjiajie Zhishe, Zili Holiday Minsu.” We also noticed another name displayed at the building entrance: “Z Plus Resort Inn.” Having three different names for the same property was extremely confusing and made the arrival unnecessarily stressful. The second and most disappointing issue was the misleading advertising. The stunning mountain view shown on Trip.com and the hotel’s Instagram page was nowhere to be found from our room or the property. The only view available was a distant view of mountain ranges shared with neighboring rooms. The advertised “Avatar Mountain” scenery simply did not exist from this hotel. This felt like a significant misrepresentation and was the main reason we chose to book this property. Breakfast was another letdown. We stayed for three nights, and the breakfast was exactly the same every morning with very limited variety. On one morning, we even found blue mold growing on the bread, which was unacceptable. After that, we only felt comfortable eating the freshly made omelette. That said, there were some positives. The hotel’s location is excellent, only about a five-minute walk from the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Middle Gate. From there, it’s roughly a 12-minute shuttle bus ride to the Bailong Elevator, making it very convenient for exploring the park. The staff also deserve recognition. The front desk and concierge team were friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful. They assisted us with purchasing park tickets, planning our itinerary, and answering our questions throughout our stay. Last but not the least, the lady outside the resort who was always selling cucumbers, hiking sticks, or raincoats. No matter the weather or the time of day, she always greeted everyone with a warm smile. It was a small gesture, but it added a genuine touch of kindness . Overall, while the location and staff were excellent, the misleading marketing about the view, the confusing hotel identity, and the poor breakfast experience significantly affected our stay. I hope Trip.com and the property update their listing to accurately represent what guests can actually expect. Travelers should not book this hotel expecting the iconic “Avatar Mountain” views shown in the advertisements. Convenience to Zhangjiajie is a plus for this location for sure though

Facilities: Excellent. Cleanliness: Very clean, no issues there. Environment: Fantastic, even though it's not within the scenic area, the value for money is great. Service: Excellent, with complimentary high-speed rail and scenic area shuttle services, which saved a lot of hassle. This was my first time choosing accommodation outside of a scenic area, and I was worried about the inconvenience of getting a taxi. However, the hotel offers free shuttle services, which made things incredibly convenient. Although it's not directly in the scenic area, the value for money is just as good as other accommodations. Highly recommended! Fantastic!

This hotel truly impressed us in every way. The service alone deserves 5+ stars. Miss Wendy (who is the front desk manager and looks like the only one who spoke English) was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and incredibly proactive. Wendy anticipated our needs, provided helpful local recommendations, allowed us to choose the room we preferred, and even helped us to select tickets to the national park without any hassle. The room had a fantastic view of the mountains, which made the stay feel very special. Breakfast was outstanding—easily a 10/10—with a wide selection and a beautiful view from the restaurant. The location is also a major plus: very close to the train station and extremely convenient for both the airport and train stations. As an added bonus, there is restaurants nearby, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere in the evenings. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie. Because of the Wendy we extended our trip in this hotel for another week.

From September 1st to 5th, we visited Zhangjiajie. My daughter and son-in-law booked us into the Hilton Garden Inn near the National Forest Park. We stayed for four nights and had a great experience. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the prime area of Wulingyuan, less than a kilometer's walk from the National Forest Park. We walked to the park every day after breakfast. The hotel breakfast was also very good, with a wide variety of options and a clean, pleasant dining environment. The service was excellent as well. Although the front desk staff were all young, they were enthusiastic, attentive, thoughtful, professional, and very friendly to guests. One day, we had an early start to visit Fenghuang Ancient Town and wouldn't have time for breakfast, so the hotel specially prepared two breakfast boxes for us, which we really appreciated.

We enjoyed staying here. They could help us with booking passes for the Avatar Mountains (Zhangjiajie National Park) and the Tianmen cave on Tianzi Mountain. They speak good english and cared to make sure we were settled in our room, very helpful. The room was very big clean, tidy and looked after, modern castle style. Great views of the Mountains from the balcony. We could do our own laundry free - two washers, two dryers that work very well. Easy to get to places from here. We took Didi (Uber) to Avatar Mountains East Gate entrance (45mins-1hr), cheap as chips to us ($25 NZD for a two hour trip). Easy to catch Didi back from there or anywhere! Using your phone App only, or you may get ripped off by taxis parked there. Highly recommend staying here.
