The facilities are excellent: smart speaker, smart toilet, laundry facilities... definitely worth the price. The soundproofing is good, the room is spacious, and the curtains are high quality – we even slept until 11 am without realizing it.
Cleanliness: Pretty good, no issues at all in the room.
Service: Absolutely fantastic! Check-in was very quick, and they helped us plan a very reasonable route to Wulingyuan, which made our trip great. They also offer a shuttle service to the East Gate of the scenic area, which compensated for not being right at the entrance. Their advice was very detailed, and the service was continuous; the 'electronic guide' was amazing, you could ask anything about the scenic area.
The service alone makes it worthwhile. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly, but a minor drawback was that the housekeeping carts seemed to be in the hallway a lot, perhaps because we woke up so late.
Breakfast was decent, nothing particularly amazing. The location is a bit far from the East Gate commercial area, which is a bit inconvenient. Regarding the mountain view, well, the room windows are indeed large, but our side faced the road and some low-rise buildings, so we could only see half a mountain, and the ground on the other side was a bit messy. I'd say don't expect too much.
Overall, I think it's excellent. It's the off-season now, and most hotels are cheaper, but this one is a bit pricier. However, there's a good reason for it; it's worth choosing.

This was by far our favorite hotel out of the 3 hotels we stayed during our 1-week trip in China. The service provided by hotel staff were impeccable - they were very attentive, passed us ponchos on a rainy day / explained in detail on how to plan our trip to Tianmen mountain and the national park etc.
View from our room was amazing as well, can see the cable cars going by. Alot of eateries nearby the hotel and the Zhangjiajie station was within a few minutes walk too. Super convenient to go up to the Tianmen mountain - 10 mins walk to the entrance poin

This time when I went back to my hometown, I didn't want to stay at home, so I just looked at the luxury list online. Our Panlong Villa Hotel was only more than 200 yuan, so I booked it. As expected, I was not disappointed. The rice noodles I took home were very comfortable and tasted very authentic. The food tasted good too. The room was better than I expected. Although Panlong has been around for a long time, the items in the room are well maintained, and you can see the star quality. The environment outside is also very good. I asked the waiter, and the catering is being upgraded, and the guest rooms will also be upgraded. As a Xiangtan native, I am really happy to see that my hometown is getting better. I will come again next time and bring my family with me. When I come again, my children will probably be very excited to see the musical fountain.

This stay was a pleasant surprise! The hotel is in an excellent location, and it is very convenient for shopping and dining. The room is spacious and bright, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows have a great view. It is so relaxing to overlook the city night view at night. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas. What I remember most is the service. When I needed a sewing kit during the stay, the staff delivered it to the room in less than 5 minutes. When I checked out, Phoebe took the initiative to ask for help calling a taxi, which was very considerate! The whole experience was comfortable and worry-free, and I have recommended it to my friends.

What a gem of an apart-hotel! The location is fantastic, within walking distance to shopping areas and attractions, which made coming back at night super convenient after exploring. The room had an amazing view, and the in-unit washer-dry dryer was a lifesaver for travelers – no more worrying about laundry. It was such a comfortable and pleasant stay, truly adding to the joy of my trip!

They proactively reached out a day before my arrival to confirm my check-in time and provided the precise location, which was very thoughtful. The room is well-equipped, and the location is incredibly convenient. Right downstairs, you have direct access to Jiefang West Road, Pozi Street, Taiping Old Street, IFS, and the pedestrian street. The customer service attendant was also wonderfully attentive. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

## Facilities:
The decor is exquisite, and the layout is also very refined, making it a very cozy hotel overall. The facilities are comprehensive, except for the air conditioning. It's quite noisy, and the temperature distribution is uneven, with noticeable temperature differences in various parts of the room. The room is also very dry; I woke up in the middle of the night with a parched throat, which was quite uncomfortable.
There's no desk in the room. My junior high daughter had to go to the public reading area to do her homework. Unfortunately, hotel staff were playing cards in the reading area that evening for over two hours, until around 10:30 PM. My daughter ended up having to do her homework hunched over a sofa and a small table.
## Cleanliness:
Very clean and tidy.
## Environment:
The location is very convenient, and the overall atmosphere is great. However, getting from the underground parking lot to the hotel is very inconvenient, and the signage is unclear. The underground parking garage is pitch black, making it impossible to feel secure. We share an elevator with the Hanting Hotel, but there's a short flight of stairs in the elevator lobby. It's not high, but it's inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage. After exiting the elevator, you're at the Hanting Hotel, and it's another two-minute walk outdoors to our hotel, again with no signs. At this point, I started to wonder what exactly justified the price difference between this hotel and Hanting.
The outdoor parking lot management is chaotic; cars are parked haphazardly, occupying a row of charging spaces, making them completely unusable for electric vehicles.
## Service:
The service is excellent, very enthusiastic, and thoughtful. Especially the bartender last night, who patiently made a non-alcoholic cocktail for my child, bringing a bit of comfort to my studying little one.
The location is a bit distant from the main area. It’s walkable and pretty on a nice weather, but will be unpleasant if it were raining or hot. The room is nice with good fixtures. Windows are thick and pretty sound proof. Water pressure in the shower is weak. Overall the stay was comfortable. Because of the location, you cannot take public transportation to the hotel. However, if you are concerned about breaking your luggage wheels, this hotel is not far from a main road so you won’t need to wheel your luggage on stone road too much.

This was such a wonderful experience: the hotel has a boutique, luxury vibe and is absolutely immaculate. The shining star here is the outstanding service from every single staff member. Special mention to Sonny who was so thorough with arranging our day tours and walking us through each destination with a map and clear explanation. Nothing was a problem and all our needs were catered to. The hotel has a guest laundry which was a god-send mid-trip. The rooms are spacious and well stocked with everything you need. Wulingyuan is definitely the place to stay when visiting the sites of the area and this hotel is a dream to return to after a long day touring the area.
Honestly, half the reason I love Changsha is because of this hotel. It's incredibly good value for money, and they even included breakfast, which was really extensive and perfect for someone like me who can't handle spicy food. The hotel thoughtfully provided a butler who helped me with all my questions. Because I was taking traditional Chinese medicine, I even asked the hotel to store my medication for me and deliver it on time every day. The service was exceptionally attentive. The room was clean, tidy, and had no strange odors – which was great since I'm sensitive to fragrances, there was no scent at all. The only minor drawback was that the toilet and shower weren't in separate rooms, so it could be a bit noisy for my roommate in the morning, but it's not a big issue. Also, the hotel offers free parking, which was super convenient since I rented a car. All in all, thumbs up! I'll definitely come back next time.

GGuest UserBetween the beauty of the natural spaces of this hotel, the perfect amenities, fantastic restaurant and IMPECCABLE service from all staff members this hotel is a no brainer for anyone wanting a relaxing spot with incredible views right from your room that rival any view from within Zhangjiajie Park.
Truly, the service provided at this hotel included personalized aid when creating itineraries and excursion recommendations, free driver service to and from airport, train station, park and anywhere else, prompt and easy communication with fantastic and friendly hosts and much more.
I know this review seems too good to be real, but I promise, this was my experience with my fiancé in the hotel for three nights. We cannot recommend this place enough.
GGuest UserAs a traveler who needs to balance online work, this place has surprised me. The whole house smart provides an efficient and convenient environment, and the high-speed network allows me to handle work at any time. The high-end toilet and free drinks are the embodiment of quality life, and the sky garden has become my open-air office, with a broad view and abundant inspiration. Take a walk to the Wulingyuan Marking Gate to relax your mind and body during the work break, exercise at the well-equipped gym in the evening, and the three lovely cats are also good companions to relieve stress. This balance of being able to work efficiently and experience nature deeply allows me to travel and work at the same time.

GGuest UserExceptional Stay at Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel
My recent three-night stay at Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel was absolute perfection! The second I walked in, the front desk team welcomed me warmly and finished check-in in minutes—no tedious waiting at all.
My room was impeccably clean, with a plush bed that had me sleeping soundly each night. Waking up to the faint view of Zhangjiajie’s lush mountains through the window was a lovely surprise, and the room’s quietness made it ideal for relaxing after day trips.
The breakfast buffet shone with fresh options, from crispy pastries to hearty hot dishes, and the coffee was always smooth. What truly made this stay unforgettable was Service Steward Xiao Yu—he remembered my preference for early breakfast, helped arrange a timely taxi to the scenic area, and even left a note with local snack recommendations.
I’ll 100% book Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel again on my next trip and can’t recommend it enough—especially if you get to be assisted by Xiao Yu!
2203823****The hotel's location is right next to Qifeng Square. Although it's not in the absolute heart of the ancient city's main attractions, Fenghuang Ancient City isn't that big, so everything is within easy walking distance. You can reach Hongqiao and the stilt houses in less than ten minutes by heading south from the hotel – those who enjoy city walks won't find it far at all. If you're coming to Fenghuang by high-speed rail, the special line bus from the high-speed rail station to Qifeng Square stops right at the hotel entrance. And if you're joining a day tour arranged locally, most of them also gather at Qifeng Square, so the transportation is very convenient. The rooms are equipped with an 'Xiaodu' smart speaker for controlling devices, and the hotel breakfast is quite varied. The housekeeper was very thoughtful, sending check-in instructions to my phone for easy reference.
GGuest UserThis was one of the best hotels on my 3 week vacation in China! Which is incredible to say as most hotels are excellent here! The location, views, rooftop garden with panorama views of Tianmen, also from your balcony are SO understated! The quality of upkeep in the rooms is another highly recommended feature - the bathtub in the room over looking the mountains was the highlight after a long day in the mountains! They even gave me a cute gift when checking out, which was unexpected surprise over the incredible hospitality! I will definitely revisit when I’m in Zhangjiajie!
GGuest UserThe hotel is run by siblings. All three owners were very friendly, helpful, and placed great emphasis on service. We were picked up from the airport free of charge.
We stayed for three days. During this time, the hotel owners recommended the most beautiful hiking routes in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain and obtained all the necessary tickets for us.
Although the owners spoke very little English, communication went very well thanks to their excellent translation tools.
The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The owners also gave us great tips for restaurants in the area.
The rooms are beautifully designed, large, and clean.
We had to leave very early in the morning, before breakfast. But we were given a very tasty and filling packed lunch for the journey. We would like to thank the owners once again for the wonderful stay and the great service. We can highly recommend this hotel. It was a lovely stay.
GGuest UserThe best reception in any resort I have ever gotten!
Mainly Cherry received us very warmly, guided us, produced us with a lot of helpful tips and tricks.
The room we stayed in was the Watery B one, very spacious, nice bathtub and very clean.
Location-wise they provide you with free shuttles to the train station, Natural Park (Avatar) & Glass Bridge.
The food in the Chinese hotel was nice, with a very talented singer, Monica.
The owner of the hotel is very warm, curious and smart person.
Altogether, we felt home there and will 100% return!
GGuest UserThe service provided by the hotel staff was outstanding. The frontline service staff were professional, attentive, and courteous, with special mention to Claire, who made my stay particularly pleasant.
Claire welcomed me on the day of check-in and handled all formalities efficiently and clearly. When I enquired about visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, she patiently explained the routes and logistics using a map and proactively offered assistance with booking the required entry reservation slots. After I purchased a four-day park pass, she took the time, on my request, to explain the routes again in detail, recommending options that required less walking. Her explanations were exceptionally clear and delivered with remarkable patience. As a frequent traveler (approximately 100–120 days per year), I found this level of attentiveness and dedication to guest support truly exceptional.
She further assisted with booking park entry for my second and fourth days and even followed up via WeChat to confirm whether I was able to gain entry at a later hour. Her professionalism and warmth exemplify the finest traditions of Chinese hospitality and undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on international guests.
The other staff members were equally commendable. The second-floor service staff, whose office is located near the laundry room, demonstrated excellent teamwork and a strong service ethic. After completing their primary duties, they kindly assisted guests by drying laundry in the dryer and folding it once completed—an unexpected and much-appreciated gesture. I shared this experience with friends back home, and they were genuinely amazed by such a high level of service.
The hotel facilities were new, well maintained, and fully functional. Breakfast offered a satisfactory and enjoyable variety, sufficient to prepare guests for a full day of activities. In addition, the hotel provides a light supper from 8:00 pm onwards, consisting of three types of porridge. This thoughtful offering was especially comforting during winter; during my five-night stay, snowfall occurred on the fourth and fifth nights.
Overall, this hotel delivers an excellent standard of service, comfort, and hospitality. I would highly recommend it to both domestic and international travelers.
GGuest UserThis hotel went above and beyond during my stay. Rain who first greeted us was helpful from the very beginning of the stay until the very end. The hotel provided a detailed route for the Zhangjiajie National Park and even provided transportation to the park and pick up once completed. In addition they assisted with the luggage during check in and check out. If flying or riding into Zhangjiajie, the hotel does offer setting up transportation to and from the hotel if needed at a very reasonable fee. The hotel offered a buffet breakfast and complimentary tea with the tea master, who was also amazing at making the stay feel very welcoming. Once the tea master and Rain found out it was my birthday they made my day one to remember. The tea master wrote me a congratulatory calligraphy scroll and set up a cake with Rain to be given to me as well. The hotel also offered activities every evening. On the day I was able to attend, they taught me how to make peach cookies which was so fun and delicious. The tea master also showed us how to do calligraphy while we waited for the cookies to be baked. Rain set up a Wechat with the staff where I was able to conveniently pre order dinner, which was super delicious. My favorite was the eggplant with pork. I can't express in enough words how everyone here made the stay the most enjoyable. For anyone visiting Zhangjiajie, I highly recommend staying here. I wish I could have spent more nights here to enjoy the entire resort such as the heated pool and sunset terrace.
