Nestled amidst misty mountains and serene waters, this place truly feels like a hidden paradise. The room is quaint and elegant, offering undisturbed tranquility, where you can watch the clouds drift by and savor the peacefulness of the forest. The service is thoughtful and attentive, making for an incredibly pleasant stay that I won't soon forget.
The owner is wonderfully warm and attentive, treating guests like friends, and even thoughtfully arranged airport transfers, saving me from travel worries. Perched among green peaks and swirling mists, it offers both poetic natural beauty and human warmth. This trip was incredibly relaxing and comfortable. When I return to Zhangjiajie, I would absolutely love to stay here again. Opening the window reveals the stunning beauty of Wuling, while closing it brings serene peace to the room. The room is clean, elegant, and boasts an amazing view. To sleep embraced by mountains and wake up with the clouds truly lives up to its reputation as a fairyland. A perfect stay.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful! 💛
From the very moment we arrived, we were met at the airport — everything was perfectly organized, comfortable, and done with great care. The staff were incredibly attentive to all our requests — they even prepared vegetarian meals for us, and we’re especially grateful to the chefs for that 🙏
If it weren’t for the hotel staff, we would have definitely gotten lost in the park — they thoughtfully planned out the entire route through all the attractions for us, making everything clear and convenient.
The room itself was just amazing! 😍
It turned out to be even better than in the photos — warm floors, heated mattress pads, perfectly clean, bright, and very quiet. Everything we needed was provided, and you can really feel the genuine care for the guests.
A huge thank you to the entire hotel team for your attention, kindness, and hospitality.
✨ We’ll definitely be back! ❤️
I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the professionalism of the staff immediately stood out. Every member of the team was courteous, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to providing thoughtful service, which made the entire experience feel very comfortable and relaxing.
The room was spotless, well-designed, and very comfortable. The peaceful environment and attention to detail made it easy to unwind after a long day.
I would especially like to highlight the breakfast experience. The selection was excellent, with a great variety of fresh and high-quality options. The dining area was pleasant, and the attentive service made the morning start even more enjoyable.
Overall, this was a memorable and delightful stay. I truly appreciate the care and dedication shown by the hotel team. I would gladly return in the future and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed place to stay.
The night before, I booked the Hilton Changsha Shimao through the Hilton platform, and the experience was utterly terrible. The soundproofing was awful. I was woken up at 3 AM by noise from the hallway and didn't sleep a wink all night, ending up with a pounding headache.
First thing in the morning, I rebooked at the InterContinental via Trip.com. Miss Anna Jiang at the front desk was incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely warm. I was so touched! She walked me to the elevator, introduced me to the hotel facilities and restaurants. She even pre-warned me that the river view rooms are near the elevators and to let them know if I experienced any noise so I could switch rooms. The concierge staff were also very proactive and helpful; I really appreciate their assistance.
Although the hotel's hardware facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained and clean. The room view was lovely, overlooking the delta where the Liuyang River and Xiang River converge. There's a direct passage to the adjacent shopping malls (Beichenhui/Joy City), making dining and shopping very convenient.
Breakfast here has the best Western pastries among all the international brand hotels I've stayed at in the past few months. It really suited my preferences, and the coffee was made with an espresso machine. There were also plenty of Chinese options, including rice noodles, but the texture wasn't quite to my liking; they were a bit too thick.
Before checking out, I realized I'd left a ring in the room. I called, and they informed me it had already been found and sent to the concierge. It was perfect timing as I was just returning from visiting the Changsha Museum and picked it up on my way back. Oh, and right across from the hotel are the 'Three Museums and One Hall,' which are within walking distance.
For food deliveries, you have to pick them up from external lockers, which is understandable and acceptable to me.

I didn't plan ahead for my Zhangjiajie trip and booked this hotel last minute. The hotel is relatively new, and I was satisfied with its cleanliness. However, the location is quite out of the way, with almost no dining or entertainment options nearby, making it inconvenient for daily life. The hotel is small, and the service is very basic, with no extra amenities. Breakfast vouchers need to be collected daily. Soundproofing is mediocre; I could clearly hear people walking upstairs and conversations outside my door. Parking, however, is convenient, with a sizable and free parking lot in front of the hotel. Breakfast overall was very average; the watermelon wasn't fresh, and there were only two or three basic fruit options. The pastries didn't seem freshly made and tasted pre-packaged. Only the rice noodles were decent; nothing else stood out. The only upside is its proximity to the airport, which is convenient for catching flights. Overall, my impression was very average.

This hotel went above and beyond during my stay. Rain who first greeted us was helpful from the very beginning of the stay until the very end. The hotel provided a detailed route for the Zhangjiajie National Park and even provided transportation to the park and pick up once completed. In addition they assisted with the luggage during check in and check out. If flying or riding into Zhangjiajie, the hotel does offer setting up transportation to and from the hotel if needed at a very reasonable fee. The hotel offered a buffet breakfast and complimentary tea with the tea master, who was also amazing at making the stay feel very welcoming. Once the tea master and Rain found out it was my birthday they made my day one to remember. The tea master wrote me a congratulatory calligraphy scroll and set up a cake with Rain to be given to me as well. The hotel also offered activities every evening. On the day I was able to attend, they taught me how to make peach cookies which was so fun and delicious. The tea master also showed us how to do calligraphy while we waited for the cookies to be baked. Rain set up a Wechat with the staff where I was able to conveniently pre order dinner, which was super delicious. My favorite was the eggplant with pork. I can't express in enough words how everyone here made the stay the most enjoyable. For anyone visiting Zhangjiajie, I highly recommend staying here. I wish I could have spent more nights here to enjoy the entire resort such as the heated pool and sunset terrace.

They proactively reached out a day before my arrival to confirm my check-in time and provided the precise location, which was very thoughtful. The room is well-equipped, and the location is incredibly convenient. Right downstairs, you have direct access to Jiefang West Road, Pozi Street, Taiping Old Street, IFS, and the pedestrian street. The customer service attendant was also wonderfully attentive. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

I forgot to take pictures of the room, but it was very clean and the facilities were new. The room was spacious, and the hotel service was absolutely 5-star worthy! They called me half a month in advance to add me on WeChat and offer travel advice. The service attitude was incredibly good! The hotel's location is convenient, very close to the cable car entrance. We were late checking out after returning from Tianmen Mountain, and the hotel still helped us out. This hotel truly deserves a super 5-star rating! Everything exceeded my expectations, and the service definitely gets a thumbs up! Plus, the front desk staff had amazing smiles! Seeing their smiles always brightened my mood! Thumbs up! Better service than the Wyndham Grand!

The place is very cute and the view and balcony are very cool to have. It’s very spacious for staying in or enjoying the balcony. The space is very clean too. The host Tiantian is very nice and helpful. Even thought I don’t know Chinese she went above and beyond to help me. I really enjoy my stay and ended up booking another night:

Second stop of our winter vacation: Changsha! The St. Regis was too out of the way for dining, and the Park Hyatt didn't have a club lounge, which is inconvenient with kids. So we chose the Grand Hyatt, and the environment is beautiful – quite impressive!
**Facilities**: The rooms show their age a bit. The hairdryer, which was rumored to be Dyson, turned out to be a Laifen. The Samsung TV, while decent, had some outdated ports, and I consistently had trouble connecting my laptop via HDMI. Everything else was pretty good though. The small dining table and long sofa setup were comfortable for a vacation.
**Breakfast**: From a distance, it looked like standard five-star hotel fare, but up close, there were some highlights. The juices were freshly squeezed, and there were many types of smoothies. While the bread selection wasn't huge, the bakery items were excellent, with croissants that had perfectly flaky layers.
**Swimming Pool**: A 25-meter pool. Going early in the morning meant it was nearly empty, which was wonderful. The changing rooms were impeccably clean, big plus!
**Club Lounge**: Perhaps because it was Chinese New Year, the standards seemed a bit lower. There was a good variety of drinks, but many bottles were empty when we went in the evening. However, with so much great food in Changsha, the lounge was mainly just for making sure the kids had something light to eat so they wouldn't go hungry.
**Location & Transport**: Unbeatable! Wenheyou is right next door, and just around the corner is the Heyer But Different branch of Chayan Yuese, so you can drink all the bubble tea you want. Walk a few more steps and you're at Pozi Street, and you can even see Orange Isle from the window!
**Value for Money**: It was a bit pricey over Chinese New Year, but if it were a bit cheaper on regular days, it would be an excellent hotel that truly delivers!

LLyndsey99Our stay here was perfect, what an amazing place! The staff are exceptional, and really care about guest experience. They provide transport to and from the east gate of the national park, and will help you plan your day. The service was perfect even down to the small details, like putting mosquito repellent out on the table we liked to play cards at, and providing us with a printed photo of our favourite memory there to take away with us.
The room was great, the views were breathtaking. After a long day at the park, we really appreciated having a small swimming pool there for a dip. Food options were good - we enjoyed our dinners and the breakfast buffet. Orders can be placed in advance on WeChat when you are on your way back from a day at the park. There was a decent range of both soft and alcoholic drinks available.
What we loved the most is that they have struck the perfect balance between luxury and a kind of homely comfort. We felt so relaxed here. An added bonus for us was their friendly dogs and cat, as we were starting to miss our own dogs at home by this point of our trip.
The location was fantastic. It is close to the national park, but the views are so good that if you choose to relax at the hotel you won’t miss anything. If our room wasn’t booked for the following days, we would have extended our stay. One of our favourite places we have ever stayed, not just in China. Thank you to everyone at Celestial Vally for an excellent stay!
GGuest UserAs a traveler who pays attention to sustainable living, I was impressed by the smart system here - the automatic energy-saving mode is both environmentally friendly and convenient. Free mineral water is provided. The drinks in the refrigerator are also very sufficient. Walking to the Wulingyuan Scenic Area reduces traffic carbon emissions, and the green plant design of the sky garden embodies the ecological concept. The most touching thing is the shopkeeper's care for the cat, and the three cats have received a warm home here. This kind of accommodation that integrates the concept of environmental protection into the comfortable experience is exactly what I have been looking for.

JJess and familyWe booked this hotel since it was closer to Tiamen mountain. Unfortunately the hotel is very far away from everything else and you don’t have any restaurants nearby except for the hotel restaurant.
When we booked this hotel we got an offer to get:
1 craftsman beer
100 yuan in didi tickets
2 tickets to an exhibition.
Even these we never received, the 100 yuan in didi (taxi) tickets we got when we asked for them and showed them the booking information and even though they saw the booking information in Chinese the didn’t get us the offer that we had paid for.
When we arrived at the hotel which is very grand and look very nice upon arrival they greeted us at the car which is expected for a hotel that grand but that was only the first day they did that. All other times when we got to the hotel no one greeted us, they were all busy talking to each other instead.
We were a family of 2 adults and 2 kids and even though we booked a family room where they know 4 people was staying they gave us only amenities such as towels etc for 2 people so every day we needed to wait and ask for 2 more towels before we took a shower.
We also booked excursions through the hotel to visit Grand Canyon and also Tiamen mountain and paid over 1600 yuan for the whole family with everything included. When we came to Grand Canyon we couldn’t experience what we were there for (the zipline) because it had weight restrictions and when we contacted the sales person from the hotel she didn’t take any responsibility and just blamed everything else instead of saying that she was sorry. The day after we visited Tiamen mountain and here we had also booked a ticket that should have included everything and when we came there it was hidden fees that the sales person from the hotel hadn’t told us. When we contacted her again it was the same response that she blamed everything else instead of taking responsibility for that she hadn’t told us everything that she needed to tell us.
No compensation was given by the hotel and no excuse. When we checked ut the staff said that they would be happy if we could give them a 5 star review and my response was that I will give you a review but it’s not going to be 5 star. When they asked us explain why we did and they blamed it on the language barrier which I don’t buy since all the messages and sales were done through translation app and also through WeChat were you can translate into your own language. It would have been so easy for the hotel to say I’m sorry and for example as a compensation from us you can go down to the buffé restaurant to eat dinner but instead they blamed everything else!
We are world travelers and have been to different cities both in China and also in different country’s around the world and this is one of the hotel were we feel that they had the worst service we have experienced. When we’re coming back we will not stay here again! A fancy hotel that can not live up to the expectations.
Ssharleen5410The location is good, just outside the ancient town, but it's a very short walk. The hotel has parking, which is definitely better than staying inside the ancient town during peak season. There's a shuttle bus stop right next door, which would be more convenient for those traveling by high-speed rail without a car. The hotel's facilities are decent. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but after trying a noodle shop by the road nearby, I realized that eating outside isn't necessarily better value or tastier. Maybe we just didn't find the right place, as the food quality was pretty much the same both inside and outside the hotel.
Ttianbian****First off, I have to say, this is the best hotel experience I've had domestically. The views are incredible, directly overlooking Tianmen Mountain. My flight landed at midnight, but the butler patiently picked me up. At one point, I wanted to grab a bite and invited the butler to join me, but they politely declined, saying they had other guests to pick up. I really appreciate such a responsible staff member. I'm very satisfied with the hotel's facilities; I didn't encounter any cleanliness issues that some negative reviews mentioned. Perhaps that's more common during peak season. I visited during the off-season, and it happened to be a clear, sunny day, so the 'Sky Mirror' on the rooftop was absolutely stunning. I imagine those who had a less-than-ideal experience probably visited on a cloudy day, which might make the hotel appear dated. Also, reading some of those negative reviews in the comments section genuinely made my head spin – are we even talking about the same hotel? For the price you paid, to get a hotel like this, shouldn't you be thrilled? If you're going to complain about everything, maybe don't travel at all. Seriously, I rarely find such a unique hotel in China. The last time I stayed at a hotel that was this delightful and relaxing was in Guilin, but that cost 1600 RMB. Honestly, if you manage to book this hotel, you should be secretly celebrating!
LLllaspenStylish Airbnb super close to Tianmen Park.
Good location, easy to find but not quite convenient for parking. Close to Tianmen Park if that is part of the trip plan.
Got free upgrade, so I could stay next to my parents. Two rooms with their own yards are super soothing.
Good facilities generally, but there could be some improvements too, such as the floor in my parents’ room, and maybe add some sticker on switches to avoid some confusions.
Other than that, I love the foam pillows, much better than normal soft pillows in hotels, also love the comb it provides in the bathroom. Good toilet and good bath amenities like shampoo and shower gel. Recommend to provide bathrobe too instead of waiting for request from guests.
I also love the auto curtains and traditional styled wooden door.
I couldn’t catch breakfast for my travel plan but parents did, they love it. Services from the host was great, especially when it comes to laundry service. He also helped with parking.
Overall highly recommended!
GGuest UserWonderful stay with amazing hot springs and outstanding service
I had an excellent stay at this hot spring hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. The entire property was very clean and well maintained, which made the experience even more relaxing and comfortable. The hot springs were fantastic — peaceful, soothing, and perfect for unwinding after a long day.
What really made this hotel special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful, professional, and polite. I would especially like to thank Cherry, who stood out for her kindness, patience, and willingness to help with everything. She made us feel very welcome and taken care of from the beginning to the end of our stay.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, relaxing place with hot springs and truly excellent service. I would definitely love to come back again!
GGuest UserWe originally booked for two nights, but after a day exploring Wulingyuan, we decided to extend our stay for another two nights by changing our flight. The Forest Park was amazing with stunning scenery, but it was the service at the Hampton by Hilton Wulingyuan that truly made us – all three of us – not want to go home! The breakfast was clean, hygienic, and offered a wide variety of choices. The hotel lobby had unlimited complimentary drinks and ice cream, and in the evenings, they even provided foot baths for relaxation. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly kind and gentle. Whenever we had questions during our sightseeing, their help was always just a call away. Plus, the laundry room had a shoe dryer, which was such a thoughtful touch (even though I didn't use it, it showed how comprehensive the hotel's services are). If I ever come back to Wulingyuan, I'll definitely stay at this Hampton again, and I'll be recommending it to all my friends!
