My room was clean, secure, and surprisingly quiet despite being in the city. The common areas are stylish and spacious, with a cozy on-site restaurant that serves excellent breakfast and coffee. It truly felt more like a boutique guesthouse than a typical hostel. Highly recommend for solo travelers, couples, or anyone looking for comfort and value in San José.

GGuest UserBook only one night needed to be closed to the airport prior to leaving Costa Rica. I arrived too early to check in so I left my backpack in the storage and went sightseeing. Rooms were cleaned however my issues was with the cleanliness of the bathrooms I wish they were cleaner . Shower’s didn’t have any hooks or shelves and I didn’t have anywhere to but my stuff other then the floor. I found a very cockroach in the shower which was also gross. Bathrooms could definitely be cleaner and furniture could be less broken done. Definitely more on the budget friendly side.

VVerified MemberPlace is about half an hour taxi ride from the airport. We originally booked it since the listing here said check in was 1400, but were later emailed that check-in was actually 1500 and when we arrived at 1500, the host said they aren't finished cleaning it and we had to wait in the lobby. The room was nice, although we didn't find the bathroom to be entirely clean. Included breakfast only consisted of coffee, fruit bowl and toast with jams.

GGuest UserNice hotel in San-Jose. Old colonial style house very well decorated. Close to city center (in 10-15mins). Next door to the hotel is very good restaurant Pataconeria. Breakfast in the patio starting at 6:30, there is a choose of dishes.  Close to the hotel is railway which wake you up early :)

GGuest UserThe landlord’s wife was very kind and helpful, she helped me arrange my trip to Costa Rica, and I thank her very much. My trip in Costa Rica was very enjoyable. There is a local restaurant next to this hotel. It is very delicious. After I return to China, I will try to make those three dishes. One is red bean rice, one is yak beef, and the other is pepper side dishes. They are all very delicious. Especially suitable for fat reduction fitness meal

MMeitounaohebugaoxingdelvxingbijiWhen I booked at that time, I saw that the room was 20 square meters. When I went there, I felt that it was about 10 to 12 square meters.  I was disappointed. The double room we booked was small and the room was small. There is no chair. Usually I can sit on the bed. Fortunately, the layout is good. The surrounding environment is average. The traffic is basically walking (the attraction is not too far, from the National Museum 1.7 to 2 kilometers). The service staff has a good attitude. Although I don't know English, I am also very active in answering our questions with a translator.
