I chose this hotel after experiencing a special forces trip in Dalian with my roommates on the weekend. The hotel is located near the subway entrance and the transportation is very convenient. The front desk said that guests running a marathon in Dandong that day have not left and there is no room. No sign or pedestrian lane, just common sense. About 8 minutes walk. It did not seem that reception spoke any English but all were polite and we managed. I departed too early for their breakfast, so can't comment on that. Somewhat better facility than the other airport hotel. You'll need to pull the blackout curtains, however to sleep. Disappointingly hard bed, and a strong smoke smell, but one is accustomed to that. I don't think much can be done.

Management needs to use the correct devices to prevent the smell from coming up the drain pipes in the shower and the bathroom. Turning on the fan to vent the smell only draws more of the smell into the bathroom. Just search on TB or JD or PDD and you will find some inexpensive devices that will block out this smell.

Mu'an Hotel is across the street from Shenyang North Railway Station. Pay attention to the landmark building Qianqian Building. The location is easy to find. There are many snacks nearby, and I recommend Li Liangui’s bacon flatbread and cold noodles. The room is a good size and the hand towels and bath towels are single use. The subway station is just downstairs, and it is very convenient to go to Shenyang Museum, Zhongjie, Shenyang Forbidden City, and Marshal's Mansion.

The place is located near to the imperial palace, 900 m walk. I asked for the non smoking room, they didn't have it, but the air was clean, no smell of cigarettes whatsoever. The hotel is easy to find, on the 1st floor, no hustle. a bit pricey but worth it. It also had 4 bottles of water, didn't expect to have that many.
