Honestly the only selling factor of the hotel is how beautiful the scenic area is. Everything else was quite unpleasant, especially for a Pan Pacific hotel. When we checked into our initial room, it turned out that there was a problem with the bath tub and that it couldn't be used, but that the shower was still available. The cleaning lady had informed the front desk before hand but we were not told what it was during check in nor the extent of the issue. The bathroom had a sewer like odour and the shower head for the bathtub looked flaky and nasty - the kind that I would expect to see in a budget motel not here. Mind you, we just checked in. It was shocking and we requested for a room change which was prompt and turned out much better. However I would think twice before recommending this hotel to my friends and family.

Since we drove to Nanjing, choosing a hotel with parking was important. Getting around by subway is super convenient, which means we didn't add to Nanjing's already crowded streets! The hotel is very close to the Presidential Palace, and it felt like we never had to worry about what to eat – there are so many restaurants on every street. We only stayed two nights, and it honestly felt like not nearly enough time; I don't even think we tried all the different wontons! Next time, we'll need to stay at least a week. The hotel's facilities aren't brand new, but they're perfectly comfortable. Even though it's on a main street, it was quiet enough at night. The two young ladies at the front desk were also incredibly helpful, giving us lots of great sightseeing recommendations. Next time we visit, this will definitely be our first choice again!

Absolutely fantastic! My husband was in Yangzhou for a marathon, so I took the opportunity to bring our child along, and the Yingbin Hotel was truly amazing. On Saturday afternoon, we watched intangible cultural heritage performances at the theater, including a puppet show and the slicing of Wensi Tofu. Afterwards, my child drew a sugar painting. We then went for the complimentary travel photoshoot, and the pictures turned out great. After the photoshoot, we fed lots of fish, swans, and ducks. In the evening, we went to Hongfang Bridge for a bath and a scrub. The next morning, after breakfast, we headed to Building 15 for a swim. I have to highly praise the swimming pool – it has a standard 50-meter lane, plenty of towels by the water so you don't get cold, and a sauna in the changing rooms. After swimming, we went to Building 18 to do some crafts, feed the bunnies, and ride a scooter around the park. My daughter said, ”This place is awesome! The ecology is great, the facilities are excellent, and the service is wonderful.” We stayed in Building 3 this time, which was excellent value for money. We'll definitely try another building next time if we have the chance.

This was my second time staying here, and it was great! I stayed for several days, and the service was excellent. The front desk staff were particularly helpful. The environment and hygiene were both very good. Even though it's in a scenic area, it was surprisingly quiet, and getting to other places was very convenient.

Pros: 1. The entire place is smart-enabled, from the curtains and lighting to the toilet and mirror. Everything is automated, and the facilities are very clean. 2. What impressed me most was that the hairdryer here didn't feel cheap at all. 3. Although the space isn't as large as a typical hotel room, I found it perfectly suited for one person, and it would also feel cozy for two. It has a refined ambiance, which is quite rare. 4. This accommodation also provides shoe-shine cloths. The washing machine is great too, and comes with a dryer. 5. It's very close to all the nearby attractions, so you won't spend much on taxis. You can basically walk or take the subway. 6. The mattress and duvet are incredibly comfortable! I slept very well! In every aspect, I feel it rivals hotels priced around 200 (the space might be a drawback, but for those who love a cozy feel, it's an excellent choice). 7. The milk tea and fruit juice at the front desk are delicious! Definitely worth trying. The hotel's fragrance isn't a cheap one; it's pleasant and not overpowering. 8. It's also worth mentioning their shampoo and toiletries; they left my hair feeling smooth, not frizzy. While not big brands, for a hotel, they're quite good. Cons: 1. ”No disposable bath towels”: Even though it's newly opened and the room is thoughtfully decorated with some small amenities (shoe-shine cloths, disposable toilet seat covers), the cost of disposable bath towels in bulk should be very low. Perhaps the owner considered the cost (or didn't want to use cheap disposable bath towels), but I think for someone who is a bit of a clean freak, this is quite important. After all, even if the towels provided by the hotel are disinfected, if the previous guest used them to wipe their feet or bottom, I'd still be hesitant to use them on my face. Disposable bath towels would solve this problem perfectly. 2. The washing machine and dryer should be clearly labeled (though perhaps I just didn't notice). Initially, I couldn't tell the difference between them, and only figured it out after looking at the buttons. 3. I once stayed at a chain hotel where the cleaning staff noticed I had a mouse, and when I returned to my room, they had placed a mouse pad for me. However, LBED didn't provide this. If this hotel's service were a bit more attentive, it might be even more popular. I sincerely wish the owner of this hotel a thriving business. I will definitely book this hotel again if I visit the area in the future.

I had some unused vacation days from last year that were expiring at the end of March. I decided to take a solo trip to Yangzhou to see Slender West Lake and enjoy the local food, so I picked this Mercure hotel because it's very close to the scenic area. I arrived at the hotel at 11:30 AM and was told my room wasn't ready yet. I stored my luggage and went to stroll around Dongguan Street nearby. Soon after, I received a notification that my room was ready. When the manager handed me the room key, they also gave me an extra fruit platter and escorted me to the elevator with a bow – it was a lovely gesture! Since I needed to do some work, I brought my laptop with me. When the cleaning staff came, they thoughtfully left a mouse pad for me, which I found incredibly heartwarming when I returned from the scenic spot. As I was leaving, the security guard even kindly advised me that it would be more convenient to catch a taxi across the street. Overall, my stay was fantastic!

Choosing Andu was such a smart decision for my local trip! The location is absolutely fantastic – all the restaurants and attractions are super close, making it incredibly convenient for eating out and getting around. The layout is logical and easy to navigate, and the free parking, along with smooth in and out access, makes it perfect for both short getaways and business stays. The value for money is just off the charts; I'd wholeheartedly recommend it! I'll definitely be back next time.

Towards the end of my holiday, I chose the tallest hotel in Nanjing. The hotel provided a room on the 67th floor with a view of Xuanwu Lake and Zijin Mountain. The most striking feature inside was the large circular bathtub. Before this, I had already traveled to Shanghai during my third year of junior high school, dealing with work all the way, and was quite tired. For dinner and breakfast, I opted to dine at the hotel. Dinner was at the Summit restaurant on the 76th-77th floors, mainly featuring Huaiyang and fusion cuisine. It wasn't as salty as typical Nanjing dishes, and the cold dish with scampi was a highlight. The restaurant's main hall faces south towards Xinjiekou. Breakfast was at the coffee bar on the 45th floor, available from 9 AM to 7 PM. You could access the observation deck with your room card, which offered views to the north: Zijin Mountain, Jiming Temple, Xuanwu Lake, and the TV tower. The duck blood vermicelli soup and baked flatbread were very Nanjing in the breakfast spread, and the rest was typical InterContinental – very rich and varied. My only minor gripe was that the fruit station didn't have the cucumber sticks and juice often found at the Shanghai InterContinental; I had to get a bowl of cucumber slices from the salad bar. I visited the independently operated heated pool and gym after dinner, but it was quite crowded due to Chinese New Year, so it wasn't particularly enjoyable. I then explored the mall next door, which was pretty much as described by Nanjing local media. The only new development is that Sunrise Duty Free is setting up shop on the first floor and is currently under renovation. In a nutshell, my review of the hotel is: Majestic and awe-inspiring! Facilities: Everything you could need. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: A unique experience. Even with a strong gale outside at night, there was no howling sound once the ventilation windows were sealed. However, before 9 PM, you could hear outdoor loudspeakers from the nearby park or square, which was unavoidable – the entire city acts like a giant amplifier. Service: Warm and thoughtful, with appropriate boundaries, which I personally find more important.

It's really great to find such a high-value hotel in this location. The lovely lady at the front desk was so thoughtful; seeing that we had a child, she upgraded us to a family room for free. Although the decor is a bit old, the room is very spacious, cozy, and clean. A special thanks to the kind front desk staff – we'll definitely stay at your hotel again next time we visit Nanjing!

Right across from Nanchan Temple, the location is super convenient. There are tons of street food options nearby, perfect for all you foodies out there. Nanchang Street is also just about a 10-minute walk away. The picture shows the beautiful night water view, which is right by the hotel. The room itself was simple, clean, and absolutely great.

XXavierasyI booked a suite for 2 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott the night before I came from Xi'an because I wanted to visit Niushoushan, Jinling Xiaocheng, and other tourist spots nearby. The location of the Courtyard is actually not bad; it's right beside the Hedingqiao metro station, and many food booths and convenience stores are just downstairs. You can buy takeaway at any time. The reception staff is nice and helpful and can speak very good English, no doubt. The worst was the concierge. One of the concierge staff has been playing on his cellphone every single moment. I took Didi or the metro at least 4 or 5 times every day. Every time I pass through the entrance, he is playing on his phone. The most frustrating part was when I ordered takeaway through the app. The delivery man said he placed it on the concierge cart right next to that guy, but someone took my package, and he didn't notice. YEAH, How could he possibly know if he was preoccupied with his phone ?!

LLvdongzidieSallyduanThis hotel is nestled in a historic neighborhood with a wonderful ambiance. It's super convenient for visiting the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Suzhou Museum, and the metro isn't far either. Staying here feels like discovering a hidden gem of a guesthouse tucked away in an alley, offering an immersive experience of Suzhou's elegant charm – something you just don't get from a chain hotel. They offer complimentary welcome fruits, and the room facilities are excellent. From the window, you can see the canal and boats passing by. Strolling through Suzhou's old town and then coming back to this waterside retreat is truly delightful. 🥰

LlwkengWe booked the family room with 2 king bed room for our whole trip in Nanjing and the hotel truly is not disappointing. The hotel is very clean and close to the Laomendong attractions. All are within walking distance. Nearby attractions are also a lot and easily reachable in short distant. Food and restaurant is not a problem. The room has all the amenities and most importantly free laundry service is available which is important for my family travel for longer days as we do not need to bring a lot of clothes. The owner is friendly and provided suggestions to our places to visit as well. Breakfast is inclusive. Even though simple, good enough to start for the day without needing to look for food before going out. Overall a good and pleasant experience with our stay.

GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, less than a kilometer from Confucius Temple and just over 200 meters from the subway station. It's also close to Sanqiba Lane. The lobby is spacious, perfect for working or dining, and there's a lovely terrace next to it to enjoy the breeze. However, there are two areas that need improvement: 1. The bed linen cleanliness needs attention; I found body hair from previous guests, not just one strand. 2. You have to make your own bed, putting on sheets and duvet covers, and then strip it all off when you leave, which is quite cumbersome.

GGuest UserNow, I can sit here and tell you that we’re staying in an eco-friendly hotel that even though you’re inside its high glass windows gives you an outdoor vibe. I can even sit and talk about the saline pool, its state-of-the-art gym and list all the amenities; and I can even talk about the number of rooms and the fact that as we speak there’s an international summit going on here. Somehow that won’t speak about my experience here at this hotel. Elements (by Westin) Suzhou Science & Technology Town does have all of the above BUT what I love about this hotel is its Staff. I love the fact that they seem to be always be here. I somehow believe that they live onsite because they’re always around. In the morning, even before I enter the Salon I hear, “Nǐ hǎo Marsha” from the Breakfast Host, followed up by the nice lady in the Salon, smiling at me and ushering me to the coffee machine, while handing me my 2 brown sugar packs. She knows my morning habits so quickly. Not only that, because they knew Peter was missing from my breakfast table for a few mornings, they now signal to me with take away containers for Peter, to have his breakfast in the room. When we need to go anywhere the young ladies at the Front Desk (no matter which Shift) are always either asking us where we need to go so that they can call a CASH taxi to get us to our destination. One of them even came with me one day to the Bank of China’s ATM and sat in the taxi while I went in and conducted my business and accompanied me to the Campus to visit Jon-Marc. Yesterday, one of them even used her own Didi account to get us transportation back to the hotel and we reimbursed her (and walked away while she was trying to give us back our change because we knew she wouldn’t have taken the Tip as is their custom). How else could we have shown her how grateful we were for her kind gesture? Then there is Simon Jiang, the General Manager, who speaks perfect English and is always there to assist and offer suggestions of things to do and places to go. Simon was the one who actually explained to me that you can’t just walk into a pharmacy and get anything without a prescription. What I can tell you is that even though he is the GM he is always on hand assisting the staff with their work. Even though there is a clear hierarchy here, he takes off his jacket and assists in the kitchen, you can sometimes see him helping the older ladies bring out the heavy equipment (if needed) when they’re cleaning the floors, clear tables, etc. Or Alex Ju, the Assistant General Manager, who accompanied Peter and I to the hospital and stayed and spoke with the doctor and the international insurance department on our behalf (in Mandarin) to make everything a little easier for us. These people are the ones who have made my stay here memorable and I can honestly say that its because of them that I would recommend Elements by Westin in Suzhou to ANYONE who wanted a place to stay without hassle and with a host of helpful, courteous, friendly staff. It has been my pleasure having encountered such warm, friendly, delightful and gentle human beings.
