Nantong Sendi Tribe Treehouse

The room was fantastic, my kids absolutely loved it! It really made them happy. Right outside our door, there were cougar cubs, yaks, and a family of four alpacas – so cool! The environment was superb; we slept incredibly well at night. My kids adored the small loft. The zoo and snow park were also a lot of fun. Definitely great value for money. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back. The resort services were excellent too, and the staff were all very friendly. At the Tribe Restaurant, you can feed animals while having breakfast, which my kids just couldn't resist, haha!

Staying at the ordinary Treehouse Sany can access the adorable pet zone right next door to see red pandas. The Tribal Restaurant, where you dine, even lets you feed deer, making for an absolutely fantastic experience. We also popped over to Budy Travel Photography to get some artistic photos taken of the kids. With the Dreamland background, it really gave them a magical forest elf vibe. The photographer and staff were very kind to the children, and the angles they found and the final photos were excellent.

Nantong Sandi Tribe is hands down the best family-friendly getaway in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region! Staying at the treehouse hotel gives you unlimited access to the zoo. We booked the duplex pet-friendly treehouse, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Waking up to deer right outside our window was incredible, and we even got lucky enough to have a red panda pop into our room – the kids were so excited they didn't want to leave! The park offers a fantastic range of activities: drive-through giraffe feeding, the forest train, and the grand circus are all included. No need to travel back and forth; it’s a completely hassle-free way to entertain the kids. The staff are so gentle and patient with the animals, and the whole environment feels like something out of a fairytale. The kids were happy the entire time, and it's definitely on our list for a second visit!

Stayed in the Tribal Treehouse. The room was very clean, and we had a butler providing full service throughout our stay. There's also a shuttle service between the hotel room and the front desk. The Grand Circus show was fantastic, and the animal interactions at the restaurant were absolutely worth the price! I'll definitely be back.

The hotel itself isn't cheap, and with all the additional charges, it feels like a total rip-off. Of course, you can avoid some of these extra costs, like bringing your own fruits and vegetables to feed the animals. We didn't bring enough, so we ended up spending nearly 200 yuan just on animal food. (For example, flicking a chicken bone to feed a tiger costs 30 yuan, just for one flick.) Besides that, if you want to fully enjoy everything, you still have to spend money. For instance, to visit the car safari area, you either have to pay for the mini-train, drive your own car, or rent one of their ridiculously expensive electric vehicles. I could actually tolerate these exorbitantly priced extra activities, but what I couldn't stand was the food in the zoo. Not only was it ridiculously expensive, but it was also terrible. For 200 yuan, you could only get a small, unappetizing "couples' meal" that barely filled one person. I highly recommend eating outside instead. I found a local restaurant with lots of locals, ordered five seafood and meat dishes for only 200 yuan, and my family of three couldn't even finish it all, bringing two dishes home. Also, the complimentary breakfast at the hotel was awful. I ate it and started having an upset stomach that afternoon. It wasn't severe, but I still had to visit the restroom five times. Overall, if you're looking to visit a zoo in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang area, I'd still recommend Hangzhou Safari Park and Shanghai Wild Animal Park. At least their pricing is transparent. This Nantong zoo would be worth recommending if it wasn't so obviously trying to fleece people.

The room is split over two levels; the upper level sleeps one adult, while the lower level can accommodate one adult and one child. The room amenities include a refrigerator, air conditioning, heating, a smart toilet with an exhaust fan, and a TV. The water heater provides 24-hour hot water. My only disappointment is the lack of a red panda room service; instead, there were only honey bears and meerkats offering a 'visit.' I didn't see any monkey or tiger interactions either. The 30 CNY shuttle bus ticket is definitely worth it, especially since walking around the park in summer can be quite tiring and hot. There aren't many lush trees along the paths, so shaded spots or places to rest are scarce. As for feeding the animals, I wouldn't recommend buying your own food. If you're not driving or renting a small mobility scooter, you won't be able to see and feed the larger animals. Animals along the walking routes in the park cannot be fed independently; you have to pay for park-provided feed. The 'Heavenly Horse Bathes in the River' show is a must-see – it's absolutely spectacular! The horse riders are very handsome, professional, and it's a truly unique performance.

The room was perfect, absolutely loved it! The kids were screaming with excitement and the adults were happy too. You can feed giraffes right from your room, which is amazing. The resort is massive and well-organized. It's so big that it can be tiring to get around, but there's a huge variety of activities. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise as you can feed the giraffes there too. Definitely recommend arriving early!

Well, how do I put this? We went for a fun trip, but ended up a bit disappointed. The room floor was tiles masquerading as wood (Pic 1), and there was no carpet in the entire room. My child fell off the end of the bed and hit their head. When I went to help them, my jade bracelet (Pic 2) hit the floor and broke. I reported this to the hotel at the time, and they said there was nothing they could do. My intention wasn't to pursue accountability, but until I checked out, they didn't even show the slightest concern for my child. Were they afraid that asking would lead to being held responsible?! The air conditioning in the room was as loud as an exhaust fan. They tried to fix it, but it didn't work, so they moved me to another room. Anyway, the AC was still loud. They said they upgraded me to a better room type, but at that late hour, all I wanted was a good night's sleep! Even stranger, I lost a large bag of clothes at the hotel. The staff just said no one found it and didn't even offer to check the surveillance footage! Anyway, it was very frustrating. The service attitude was terrible and definitely not worth the price!

We had an absolutely fantastic time and highly recommend this to all families with kids and couples! We chose the Dream Island Treehouse this time, and the room type is really unique – kids would love it, and so did we adults! While it was a bit pricey, it was definitely worth every penny! You can interact with red pandas, and ring-tailed lemurs and capybaras randomly wander by, which is just adorable! Compared to just watching animals from a distance at a zoo, this experience is incredibly valuable! Plus, you can feed deer at the breakfast restaurant, which makes for amazing photos! The night view is also stunning! Service: The zookeepers were wonderful; the sister who brought the red pandas around visited almost every treehouse. Facilities: Most facilities were good, but the only downside is the poor soundproofing – you can clearly hear the toilet flushing upstairs… Hygiene: Good, it was very clean.
