XXinbuzaiyanyaThis is our third year celebrating Chinese New Year at the Sheraton Guan. Overall, it's pretty good; the room and dining services are excellent. Just a heads-up for anyone visiting in winter: avoid rooms facing south. They get incredibly hot. The hotel's central AC only blows hot air, and with the direct sunlight, the room becomes unbearable for sleeping. To make matters worse, the windows only open a tiny crack – it was truly a struggle!

RRockcatzxdWe traveled during the off-season for a three-day, two-night stay, and the entire experience was delightful. Nanshanli is located at the very end of the town, but there's a shuttle bus to town every 20 minutes, which gets you there in just a few minutes – very convenient. There are also free shuttle buses to and from the high-speed train station, offering a door-to-door service, which is incredibly handy. The hotel environment is excellent. We had a garden-view room, and we could see the deer below from our balcony. We stayed in building C, but it was very easy to get to building D as you could walk between them indoors. The hot springs are fantastic; there's a large indoor one and three smaller outdoor ones, all very relaxing. Our child absolutely loved the 'Hi-sen Squad' (Kids' Club) at the hotel, playing there for two consecutive days. The rock climbing and high-ropes course were quite challenging. All the staff we encountered were incredibly patient, earning a big thumbs up from us. Our child particularly liked the 'Hi-sen Squad' young man with glasses. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety and tasted great. Our whole family was very satisfied with this trip! 👍 There were also so many recent flowers and butterflies in Thaiwoo, it was beautiful!

AAnonymous UserThe environment here is fantastic! 👍 The front desk service was excellent; Xiaoxia and Xiao Zhao were particularly warm and attentive. The facilities are comprehensive, and the room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. I'm very satisfied and will definitely be back.

FFrankBayThe views are fantastic! On the day of departure, the front desk even sent a text message with directions for driving there, which was incredibly thoughtful and considerate. It took about two hours to drive from Beijing to the hotel. We pre-registered our car and were able to park it in the parking lot. They even have fast-charging stations.
We also pre-booked the public hot spring and enjoyed the Eye Stone hot spring. The breakfast quality was also excellent. I highly recommend coming here for the experience!

TTangyuxiaonazhaThe service here was a bit of a letdown. While the facilities were actually better than the InterContinental I stayed at a couple of days ago, the service didn't quite measure up. I booked connecting rooms with king beds, just like before, but when I called ahead, they made all sorts of excuses about not being able to arrange adjoining rooms. The staff's communication skills definitely need improvement. Then, at check-in, they started talking about whether our room was facing the street or not, even though our suite clearly was. High-floor rooms facing the street are bound to be noisy at night, so I'm not sure what the staff was getting at.
The biggest rip-off was the breakfast. For such an average buffet, they still charged extra for children, and rooms including breakfast were hundreds more – definitely not worth it. I strongly advise against booking a room with breakfast. I thought the InterContinental's breakfast was bad, but at least they had a wider selection of pastries. Here, the breakfast was barely on par with a budget hotel; it was so bad I almost wanted to complain. The score reflects the facilities, not the breakfast – what a scam!
On a positive note, I want to specifically commend the housekeeping department. The housekeeping staff were all incredibly dedicated and conscientious. We only stayed one night and left early the next morning, but the housekeeping attendant patiently kept asking if we needed anything. Thumbs up to them!

__ZFB886588****An older hotel, but the facilities are still complete and the room was pretty clean. You can't expect too much from an old hotel. It's best to take a Didi (ride-hailing service) from the station; don't just jump into a shared ride, you might get ripped off. It's just outside the city wall, and I personally think staying here is more comfortable than inside the wall. Among the performances, only the iron flower show is worth seeing, but you absolutely need to get there early to secure a good spot, otherwise, you won't be able to watch. The commercial streets are all pretty much the same!

This was my first time bringing my family to Aranya, and I was completely lost with the vast layout of the park. Shortly after booking, our butler Wendy proactively connected with me via WeChat, instantly easing all my travel anxieties. A few days before our trip, she provided a super comprehensive guide for first-timers, covering everything from the highway exit and park entrance registration to parking fees, tidal schedules, reservation channels for various venues, and the locations of dining halls for all three meals. She even detailed where to go for morning, afternoon, and evening strolls, completely saving me from staying up late to plan.
Upon arrival, the park was huge, and I was disoriented with our luggage. Wendy sent real-time location and walking directions, clearly indicating the shuttle pick-up points. During check-in, she meticulously explained the room facilities, complimentary drinks, and toiletries, and proactively asked if we had any special requests. Throughout our stay, whether we wanted to visit the chapel, find local snacks, or watch the sunset in the evening, her responses were almost immediate. When we temporarily needed extra towels and drinking water, they were delivered to our room within minutes.
What impressed me most was the perfect balance of her service – she never bothered us with frequent messages while we were enjoying ourselves, yet she was always available to help whenever we had a question. The hotel itself is minimalist and tranquil, offering great comfort. Coupled with Wendy's detailed and reliable guidance throughout, our first Aranya trip was absolutely flawless, with no missteps or frustrations. We'll definitely be staying at Nuo An Yuan Jin next time and specifically requesting Wendy as our butler.

GGuest UserDuring the past few days in Zhangjiakou, the most unforgettable thing is not the passion of the track, but the emotion brought by the front desk. My family sent a box of sports drinks before I left. I made sure to make sure it was delivered on the day of the game. The result was that I, a road ******, filled in the wrong district address. The courier was sorting from the south of the city to a novice post office in the north of the city. Just after the race ended at 4 p.m., the logistics information showed that ”the post office is already at the post office,” but we had to leave for the next city at 5 p.m, and looked at the postoffice address 10 kilometers away on the map, stamping our feet in a hurry. When she heard this, Ms. Park comforted me by saying, ”Don't worry, I'll find a way,” grabbing the keys to her electric car and running out. She returned 20 minutes later, sweating and panting, saying, ”The sorting officers had the wrong zoning area. I went halfway through the warehouse with them to find it!” She thought she could get it now, but she frowned again and said, ”The box is too big to fit in the electric car basket. I'm afraid it will be broken on the road. I'll run around and pack it in the trunk again!” Before I could react, she turned and rushed down the stairs again - the second time she saw her, she had a sweat scarf on her arm, With her hands tightly wrapped around the trunk, even her work shirt was soaked with sweat, but she smiled and said, ”I just borrowed a shock absorber from the post office, and none of the drinks damaged.” When she tore open the packaging, she also purposely put a note on the trunk: ”Remember to replenish electrolytes after the game!” At that moment, I suddenly felt that although the wind of Zhangjiakou was cool with the grassland, but the box of drinks and the smile of my little sister, the trophy of the race course was more heart-warming. When I met such a service in a strange city, I really wanted to share the warmth with everyone! She not only helped us to get the express, but also let me feel the ”heart for heart” service temperature. Next time I come to Zhangjiakou, I will definitely choose this hotel full of human touch.

TTimLimBad check in service at front counter lady. Seems more occupied with her task than guest service. I have to call and request for our sofa bed to be open. Given we book and indicated a family of 4, unlike other hotels whom immediately arrange all additional required items such as toothbrushs, slippers, towels, water, etc. Here I have to call to request for each items.
The wifi doesn't work. I have to physically bring my laptop to the front desk for assistance.. and even that was not able to connect.
Breakfast, average as the food are abit hard - hard noodles, hotdogs, breads..
Only cons is location near to ski and restaurants but so are a few hotels nearby.
Free scheduled public bus shuttle to/fro train station, have to walk about 7 mins to the bus stop.
As a Hyatt member, this is the worse Hyatt Place hotels I stayed. I believe surrounding hotels will have better guest services and competitive price too.

GGuest UserThe room was new and the service was excellent. I arrived early and was able to store my luggage. There was no noise during my two-day stay, so the soundproofing was good. The only drawback was that there was no closet for clothes, but it's still good value for the price. It's within walking distance to the city center; I walked to the Summer Palace in the morning, which was great!
