Wanhe River View Inn (Shilu Branch, Shantang Street)

The service here truly deserves full marks! We were on a spontaneous trip and hadn't even picked a place to stay after getting off the train. We hopped on a boat right outside the station and headed towards the North Pier, where we found this guesthouse. It felt like only minutes from booking the room on the boat to connecting with the owner. Upon arrival, they had fruit ready for us, which my whole family really appreciated. The room's decor and amenities were excellent. I particularly loved the incense holder on the windowsill and the tea set – they perfectly matched our lovely impression of Suzhou. Enjoying tea and incense, munching on fruit with the 'Jiangnan water town' vibe outside the window, was a truly wonderful experience. The guesthouse is right next to Seven Mile Shantang Street, so after an evening stroll, it was just a short walk back – completely stress-free. It felt like all the Suzhou attractions were within a street's reach.

The room was spotless, and my kids absolutely loved it – they didn't want to leave! The owner was incredibly nice and even gave us complimentary fruit when we checked in. They also provided disposable face towels and bath towels, which was a great touch.

Absolutely amazing! From pre-sales to post-sales, the service was impeccable. The owner is incredibly kind. Recognizing the hot weather, they brought us a plate of chilled fruit. Without hesitation, they helped us carry our luggage upstairs. Their attitude was fantastic and very attentive – honestly, it was a better experience than staying at a hotel. The location is superb, making it easy to get anywhere. There's a market nearby with many shops, so you can grab breakfast in the morning and late-night snacks. The owner even provided a list of recommended local eateries. Upon entering, I was stunned by the room's view. Everything was perfectly organized, and even the side table by the window showed thoughtful attention to detail. (The biggest surprise was that the smart TV had SVIP access; hotels I stayed at afterward didn't even have VIP.) The screen mirroring quality was clear, and the air conditioning was excellent. Staying in this room felt like paradise, truly exceptional value for money! Honestly, most B&Bs and hotels are quite similar these days, but the real bonus comes from genuinely heartfelt service. 👍

The room was very clean, and all the disposable amenities were provided. The B&B had a wonderful atmosphere! The front desk staff was also very friendly and always promptly resolved any issues. We even received a fruit platter every day, and they proactively helped with our luggage – very responsible! It was a truly lovely stay! Looking forward to visiting Suzhou again!

Opening the window reveals a picturesque江南 (Jiangnan) scene with small bridges and flowing water. The room was clean and cozy, and the thoughtful touches like the smart toilet and 100-inch projector were definite bonuses. But what truly stood out was the owner's incredible hospitality – sending travel tips in advance, picking us up from the intersection, and even delivering fresh fruit daily. It felt just like visiting an old friend's home. The location is also fantastic, tucked away in a quiet spot yet only a few minutes' walk from Shantang Street. This trip to Suzhou was made even more wonderful because of Wanhe Inn. I'll definitely be back!
