Facilities: They have a washing machine with a dryer, which I didn't get to try as I arrived quite late this time. The TV offers live broadcasts with 30 channels, including major networks, which was sufficient. All necessary shower amenities are provided, along with both disposable and bathroom slippers. The showerhead even features multiple spray settings. The WiFi speed wasn't great, which might be related to the high occupancy – I noticed a lot of international guests during my stay. Service: They offer a parcel receiving service, but it seems they handle a lot of deliveries, so it's best to know what your package looks like to help them find it faster. The breakfast provided for airport transfers was sufficient to fill up on, with options like fresh eggs that you can fry yourself, freshly ground coffee, congee, siu mai, and fresh fruit. Cleanliness: Cleanliness was satisfactory. Environment: The area downstairs is packed with small restaurants, so you'll never go hungry, no matter the hour. Pudong Airport Shuttle Service: They offer a scheduled minibus shuttle to Pudong Airport; during regular hours, just contact them in advance, and it generally runs once an hour. The airport drop-off is a shared coach service with other hotels. It departs each hotel at XX:40 and arrives at the terminal on the hour. Make sure to manage your time accordingly. It drops off at Terminal 1 first, then Terminal 2. Disneyland Shuttle: I didn't get to try the Disneyland shuttle this time. My original plan was to arrive by 3 PM and use the free shuttle to scout the area a day beforehand, but my travel schedule was delayed. Maybe next time if the opportunity arises.

Our bathroom had a terrible wash basin (it is more than 3 feet high with a small basin that is set inside by about 6 inches). Brushing teeth is a challenge! Floor tiles are slippery if not for a bath cotton mat and rubber mat inside the shower area. There may be plans for a drying line soon? Fortunately, in the meantime, there is a laundry room for house guests. Breakfast - chinese continental with very limited choice. The only convenient and good service, is the shuttle bus to the airport (round the clock and punctual). It is an ideal place to stay since it provides drop off and pick up service (once in the early morning and once when the park closes) to/from Disneyland.

I have stayed here many times because it is extremely convenient and I have had good experiences before, but I am afraid I can’t recommend this hotel again until they solve the WiFi situation. I normally choose the north building because it is cheaper and perfectly nice but after having terrible WiFi connections for my last two stays I decided to spend a bit more and choose the south building. It is decorated a little nicer but otherwise I don’t notice much difference. When I arrived at my room the WiFi was not connecting and the front desk sent a maintenance worker to my room who logged in using a phone number I think. It shouldn’t be necessary to go through all that and then the WiFi speed is still quite poor. So next time I think I will try the new hotel next door that is also convenient and seems to have better reviews for just a bit more money. I like to save money but not to get a poor experience. It seems a simple and necessary thing for this hotel to handle and I will gladly be back again if they do.

It’s a perfect and cute hotel located about 10-15 min ride from the airport . Location is perfect , there’re a lot of stores and restaurants around the hotel . We even got an haircut in the neighborhood . Staff are friendly and helpful . They offered us an ungraded to a garden balcony and a fruit plate . Breakfast is nice with good selection . They offer free pickup and drop off to Pudong airport . Will definitely recommend to travellers looking for a place closed to pudong airport

The hotel proactively contacted us the day before arrival via message, providing airport pickup and check-in information. Their complimentary airport shuttle runs hourly without prior booking, which is highly convenient for international travelers. Even on a typhoon night, the driver departed from the airport exactly on time. The front desk staff were incredibly service-oriented, friendly, and efficient. They even proactively asked if we needed to book a shuttle for our return to the airport. When we checked out, we hailed our own taxi, and the front desk staff promptly opened the gate, allowing the car to drive right up to the hotel entrance. The room was quite clean, but despite being a non-smoking room, there was a strong smell of smoke when we first entered. Having flown for 16 hours, we were too exhausted to bother changing rooms, so we just opened the windows to ventilate. However, the bathroom exhaust fan continuously emitted a smoky smell, likely due to other guests disregarding the rules, not the hotel's fault. Soundproofing was a bit disappointing; the adjacent room's doorbell often made me think it was ringing in my own room. I suspect they experienced the same confusion when my doorbell rang, as they also opened their door. The laundry room offered complimentary washing machines and dryers, along with detergent and disinfectant, which was very convenient for guests. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay and found it offered excellent value for money. I would definitely book this hotel again for future layovers in Pudong.

We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Airport. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The free shuttle bus to the airport was perfectly organized and very convenient, which made it an excellent choice for an overnight stay before an early flight. Overall, a top hotel and highly recommended for travelers looking for a hassle-free and comfortable stop near the airport.

I communicated our pick up needs to hotel at regular intervals and keot them updated about our flight. Advised would be arriving a little early due to flight. Was told to call after landing - no answer. Tried messaging on we chat took a while for response. No clear directions. So arrived at exit after clearing customs and collecting bags. Then told to go back upstairs to gate 3 departures. Waited out there for a long time. Over half an hour. Many other hotels collected people with many others coming and going while we waited. One hotel had 3 vehicles with their name on it pick up patrons in the time we were standing there. I can now see why we were the only ones going to Novotel. Clearly the driver did not leave the hotel after long after we advised we had arrived. When he did turn up in a rundown silver van with no name on it. He drove like a mad man and dangerously. He think he was trying to make up for time. He was rather rude when he dropped us off, not a word from him. Check in experience was no better. Two girls on reception were talking **** about us - yes I had my translator on after explaining our check in details to them. Very poor service and actually unprofessional behaviour. Room service had finished so we weren't able to get anything to eat. Did not feel able nor did I want to speak with front desk again to ask for assistance in ordering some food. Only staff that was friendly or even acknowledged us was the lovely cleaning lady on our floor the following morning. Breakfast was okay. Laundry was a mess from another lady who pulled out all her washing dripping wet and made a huge puddle on the floor. If there had been a towel I would have cleaned up her mess! We wish we had gone straight to the hotel we had originally planned to but opted for the Novotel due to close proximity to airport for our late flight back into Shanghai. We would have been better off going straight to the original hotel over an hour away. I believe we still would have arrived earlier. We have stayed at Novotel Auckland Airport in New Zealand a few times and the service is impeccable. Unfortunately Novotel Shanghai Pudong Chuansha is not a good representation of the Novotel brand. Also considering this an airport hotel with many tourists likely utilizing it - very few things have English translation including the vending machine. The hotel building itself is nice and the only positive. Won't be back - step up your game. I usually do rave reviews and very rarely do negative unless warranted.

Very satisfied with this hotel. Booked this after seeing a couple of TikTok reviews and it is accurate. The room is very clean and tidy (floor is even cleaner than my home’s 😆). Breakfast spread is very acceptable for my child’s palate and they even have a supper session every night. I booked this hotel because it offered free transport to many places: Pudong Intl Airport, Disneyland, Wild Animal Park, Metro line2. Service on WeChat is quite curt and the regular front desk people are mostly clinically polite. However the boys helping with luggage go the extra mile for the warm service and I appreciated their sincerity. An exceptional front desk lady also gave my child a mosquito repellent after knowing we were heading to the zoo on checkout day. Will recommend this hotel to any guests needing to stay in Pudong area 👍🏻👍🏻

Somehow got this mixed up with the Holiday Inn that's by the airport... Be aware this one involves a ~35min ride in a little mini-bus which isn't ideal for a late night layover arrangement. That said, the staff were helpful and acccomodating, and the facilities were good and clean. The shower was good, decent pressure. Little line in there to hang a couple of things on so I could wash + dry them. Very handy. Comfortable bed. Basically everything here is great and good value, but the location is not the best, and the time spent getting there and back on the shuttle bus schedule is time that could be spent sleeping, so bear that in mind.

We took the kids to Disney and were planning to fly back the next day. We randomly booked a family suite at Light Inn Hotel via Ctrip, and it truly exceeded our expectations! The lobby had popcorn, which was a huge hit with the kids. Breakfast was very generous, and I particularly enjoyed the scallion oil noodles prepared by the auntie. The mattress and pillows were incredibly comfortable too. The decor was simple yet modern and bright, the layout was well-designed, and the smart features were also top-notch.

MM23364****Checked in late at night for a flight, and the location initially felt quite remote. However, upon arrival, the hotel turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It was exceptionally clean and tidy. The front desk staff was incredibly patient and polite during check-in. The room itself was spotless, equipped with electric curtains, a smart toilet, and intelligent lighting. The biggest highlight was the dedicated airport shuttle service in the morning; the driver was incredibly thoughtful and got me to the nearest boarding gate in under ten minutes. Overall, my experience during this Shanghai trip was excellent.
