Hotels in Hongqiao District, Shanghai

Thanks to the lovely front desk lady for the room upgrade! Thumbs up + very satisfied. The Ctrip photos showed a large window, but the actual room had a small window – not happy about that. The room lighting had a fixed mode and couldn't be controlled individually – not happy. Breakfast was okay, pretty average; it would be great if there were more options. Every time I check out, the hotel staff (experience馆 could be 'staff' or 'representatives') ask directly for a positive review without inquiring about my stay – I find that very off-putting!!!

I've stayed at this hotel many times. Even when I'm in Pudong, I make a special trip to stay in Hongqiao. Recently, with the World Cup playing, the breakfast area has a big TV where you can watch the matches. It's so enjoyable to eat breakfast, drink coffee, and watch the World Cup all at the same time. Plus, on weekends, breakfast doesn't end until 11 AM, which is much more flexible than other hotels, so you can sleep in a bit without any problem. Check-in is also very fast. Right outside the hotel entrance, there's a takeout locker, so even if you're grabbing a late-night snack, it's just a few steps away. What really deserves a shout-out is Tom, the front desk/concierge manager. He's warm and polite and even helped me send a package. Honestly, every time I stay here, I find so many good things to praise about this hotel! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Our 2nd stay back here! The hotel is connected to Songhong metro via the shopping mall, to note that the gates to the mall closes at approximately 10/1030pm, take the lift next to the mall exit and you can navigate from here. They also have breakfast options delivered to your door step if breakfast is selected in your package. Alternatively, head to one of the many coffee spots in the mall connected - like Ora Coffee, Manner, LuckIn etc. Robot service available and you can send your parcels here ahead of time for collection - the hotel front desk will also drop your parcels at your door if all details are labelled correctly. Room was clean and the washer dryer is exceptionally helpful for us. Late check out is also allowed if the room is available. Overall great stay! Will definitely return - it is also an easy route to either Hong Qiao airport / train station or Pudong international airport, very convenient!

The cleaning staff were very friendly and the front desk was very helpful. The room was super clean and well-equipped, and the soundproofing was excellent. Highly recommend! The breakfast selection was also quite rich, with both Western and Chinese options to choose from, or you could have it delivered to your room. The hotel's location is fantastic, with many delicious Japanese restaurants in the basement of Takashimaya, right next to a Japanese supermarket.

I had a really pleasant stay at this Atour Hotel. Overall, the service was very good and comparable to some larger hotel brands. While a small number of staff didn’t feel entirely genuine, most of the team were friendly and helpful, especially the front desk. The room was spacious and comfortable, though the lighting was slightly on the dim side for my preference. One highlight was the cute robot that delivers items to your room — a nice and fun touch. I also really appreciated the 24-hour laundry service, which was very convenient. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would definitely consider staying here again.

It feels like this hotel just opened, and perhaps the procedures aren't fully set yet? For an experienced brand like Swiss Hotel, this is a bit unexpected. The front desk staff seemed inexperienced, with some 'green hands' not fully trained. They struggled a bit when dealing with three groups of guests simultaneously. Maybe management didn't anticipate such high demand? I suspect they're opening floor by floor, as there's still a noticeable renovation smell in the room. The platform stated it opened in February, so if they had been ventilating it regularly for 24 hours, there shouldn't be such a distinct odor by now. The cleaning details were thorough, but it seemed like they didn't use any air freshener; upon entering the room, the initial scent was renovation, followed by the smell of cleaning tools in the mid-to-late stages. The windows couldn't be opened, but thankfully, the air conditioning's fresh air filtration system was very effective, and the peculiar smell dissipated quickly. The room's decor, equipment, and facilities were of good quality, well-equipped, and practical. However, for a hotel apartment, shouldn't there be basic pots, pans, and dishes? The one-bedroom, two-living room layout is perfect for modern family sizes, ideal for short stays or small gatherings with friends. I feel that this product, with a slight adjustment up or down from its current price, should find a good market. For parking, you need to register your license plate at the concierge. Currently, there's only surface parking available (and not many spots). Overall, I still recommend staying here. Several of my friends spoke highly of it.

Quite close to the metro station and to shopping mall area. Clean, big room, comfy bed, sofa etc. The only problem was that the 5G signal was weak in my room, but WiFi was quite fast. Also: washing machine is only available if you make a booking for at least a month worth of stay, so be careful when booking. It's weird, cause the washing machine is right there in the room, but the note attached to it says not to use it, so I didn't, even though the room description on trip.com says the washing machine is usable. I booked an option without a window, but was surprised to actually have a window with a so-so view. Maybe if you book the same option as me you won't get a window, so be careful.

I highly recommend this hostel! The location is unbeatable, just a 400-meter walk to Weining Road Metro Station, making transfers and getting around incredibly convenient. Right outside, you'll find Binggu Plaza, which has everything you need for dining, entertainment, and shopping, so you don't have to go far for meals or leisure. The interior design is trendy and minimalist, with a futuristic vibe. The common areas are clean and bright, and the bathrooms are regularly cleaned with no unpleasant odors. Each bed comes with a private blackout curtain, a USB charging port, and a reading light. When you pull the curtain, it creates your own private space, ensuring an undisturbed rest. The bedding is changed for every guest, making for a great sleeping experience, and the price is very affordable. The front desk staff are kind and patient. It's perfect whether you're traveling solo, on a short business trip, or a student needing temporary accommodation. Overall, it's a five-star experience that's definitely worth recommending!

The front desk service was warm and professional. When I checked in, they proactively introduced local transportation and dining options, and even thoughtfully reminded me about the weather for the next day. There's an umbrella in the closet. The young lady, Lena, left a great impression. Thumbs up! The shower in the room had stable water pressure and hot water came quickly. The bedding provided good support, so my back didn't ache when I woke up. Overall, it was an experience that makes me want to come back again.
