Stayed in a micro room. Obviously you are limited on space but did the job for 2 nights. Great location, nice pool and friendly staff

It was extra loud since we were in the private Standard room on the 4th floor. The other reviews were right, it’s like staying at a night club. I managed my expectations given it’s a hostel hotel but def not worth the price. Hopefully the sister property is better. The bedroom floor was so dirty and I wondered if the sheets were 100% cleaned. That said Reception team was nice, and it was in a good location.

The location is great. The micro rooms are VERY micro… tinier than I’ve ever seen at another Selina. The bathrooms were always wet and dirty. Half of them on our floor were closed. When it rained, water came through the ceiling. It’s fine, but not great.

It was a nice experience because I met a lot of new friends there.

The hostal is super cool, the deals at the rooftop bar are great and the drinks are as well. For a single bedroom (not shared) the price is high for not including a private bathroom, but it was neat nonetheless. Awesome food and service.

My one night stay was very pleasant. The air conditioning worked very well. The environment of the selina was festive and the staff was friendly. The ascetic was really interesting.

I was there for work, the location is good … the only thing is that I pay for breakfast and there I’ve to pay again due an issue they have. Other that that the staff was good and the rooftop amazing.

Selina/Casco Viejo is a hostel, geared to the young. I am far outside their target demographics. It is loud at night, loud enough to have them provide ear plugs BUT it is a great place to stay. Casco Antiguo is a beautiful part of Panama City and the restored restaurants and shops gives the traveler a truly enjoyable experience. Away from Casco, you will find the true heart of a city, with small shops lining streets and locals hurrying about their daily lives. The hotel offers day tours to many places and the guide that work there are knowledgably of the sites, people and traditions. I slept through the noise on the third floor and brought the unopened ear plugs with me as a souvenir (the party is at the rooftop on the sixth) and for sure I will return. I am posting the view from the balcony of Panama City. That alone is worth a night stay.

We stayed one night as we had booked 3 nights in San Blas the next morning (started at 5.30am). Our room was on the 5th floor with a window to the hallway. It wasn't possible to open the curtains, otherwise everyone would look in. Quite apart from the hallway light at night that comes in through every crack. Second surprise was the hair in the bed. OK, close your eyes and through. Since we had to get up early, we went to bed early. But then the party on the 6th floor (pool, bar and restaurant) started. The music was so loud you thought you were in the middle of it. There were also chairs moving and other noises. After work was finally over in the bar, it felt like everyone went to take a shower or pee again. All at a volume that I found quite disrespectful. Oh, our room was opposite the sanitary facilities. Then the alarm went off. At the reception we were asked how the night was. HORRIBLE was my reply. But no one was interested. Conclusion. Never again Selinas. But had to go back before departure. Unfortunately, a cancellation was no longer possible. See other review.

Great view, beautiful terrace, central location, close to major attractions in Panama. Rooms located below the terrace and therefore slightly noisy. Great services.
