We come from Malaysia, stayed for 2 nights, thumbs up to our guide 小宇 for her exellent service and knowledge when we joined the 9.9 trip to Chengde resort. Hotel is modern and clean, staffs are very helpful. I took the k2 bus from Cheongde Station. It's close to the bus stop, and it's right next to the Pí sè shānzhuāng entrance, so the location is the best. The room where I can feel the atmosphere of Mongolian Ger is clean and cool. I slept very comfortably. All the employees are very kind. Thank you.😍

The hotel is in a good location, just across the road from the main entrance of the Mountain Resort. It is a building that is several decades old, old but impressive. It has its own parking lot, with quite a few cars. The furniture and equipment in the room are indeed old, but they are still functional. The shower water is also good, but the fixed shower head is not easy to use. I hope the hotel will change it. The restaurant is also impressive, and the dishes taste good. The key is that the National Day holiday has passed and the price-performance ratio is high. Recommended.

It is located on the west side of the Summer Resort in the center of Chengde. It is a 2-minute walk from the main entrance of the Summer Resort. It has a superior geographical location. The walking circle around the hotel covers the large fast food restaurant "Express Kitchen", Erxianju Night Market, Jinlong Shopping Plaza, Royal Guandi Temple and Chengde Central Hospital, and a bus stop is set in front of it. It takes 15 minutes to directly reach the World Cultural Heritage "U Ba Temples" building complex, and 25 minutes to reach the high-speed rail station, which is convenient to transport. The hotel is equipped with a buffet breakfast, free 24-hour laundry, Wi-Fi, coffee, and a specialty snack shop and local specialty shops. Staying at this hotel is an ideal choice for travel, shopping, shopping and experiencing Chengde Royal Garden culture and humanistic style.

The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was perfect for exploring the Wuling Mountain area, and we loved waking up to the sound of birds and seeing the misty mountain views every morning. The hiking trails nearby were well-maintained and offered stunning views of the landscape. Although it was a bit remote, that was exactly what we were looking for - a true escape from urban life. The local breakfast was delicious and featured fresh, organic ingredients from the area. We particularly enjoyed the evening stargazing, as the night sky was crystal clear away from city lights. This place is absolutely perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or anyone looking to reconnect with nature. We would definitely recommend this hidden gem to all our friends and family, and we plan to return again in the different seasons to experience the changing beauty of the mountains. IIrina. AA great guesthouse near the Jingshanglin section of the Great Wall of China. The rooms are very spacious and clean. There's plenty of hot water. The hosts are very friendly and provided us with a complimentary excellent breakfast. The lunches were also delicious and very affordable. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the park entrance, making it convenient for morning and evening photo shoots. We loved everything. If we come back, we'll stay here again.

XXimaokevinThe restaurant boasts vibrant, healthy potted plants, with no dead leaves or debris at the base, and they're on wheels, making it easy to move them for sunlight without leaving marks. The courtyard offers four slow-charging stations for electric vehicles. The parasols have three settings and a temperature display for convenient use and adjustment. The most amusing part was watching their plump geese waddling around the patio after a good meal, looking very proud. The proprietress is an excellent cook; the breakfast noodles are handmade. The owner mentioned that his mother and wife are constantly busy, very diligent, and almost have a slight obsession with cleanliness. It was truly harmonious to stay here briefly. Jinshanling Great Wall is also a place I'd love to hike again.

CCocodaiTraveling with both the elderly and young kids, we made a spur-of-the-moment decision to get away for the weekend. I had already set my sights on this hotel, and the drive here was smooth. The hotel grounds are lovely, very peaceful and comfortable. No TV is actually a genius move, really good! It really helped my family focus on relaxation and the outdoors.
The kids absolutely loved the private hot spring. They were a bit disappointed they couldn't go into the public one, so for 468 for 2 hours, we booked a private one for them to enjoy. It was fantastic, especially the little milk bath – so refreshing and cool.

SSouthafricangirl26I stayed at this hotel for 10 days and had a really positive experience overall. The room was spotless throughout my stay, with crisp, clean bedding, fresh linen, and well-maintained towels. The bathroom and amenities were equally clean, and the smart room features worked perfectly. I especially loved the “sleep mode” function, which turned off the lights and closed the curtains automatically — such a thoughtful touch that made it easy to wind down without even getting out of bed.
The location is also a strong point. It’s close to supermarkets and smaller local restaurants, which was very convenient day-to-day. While it’s a bit further from the main built-up city area, it’s still within walking distance of livelier spots. What makes it particularly special is its proximity to nature — being close to the mountains and nearby national parks is a big advantage if you enjoy that kind of setting.
In terms of amenities, I really appreciated the free laundry (wash and dry), as well as the steamer provided for clothes — both were incredibly useful during a longer stay. One thing to note is that this branch doesn’t appear to have an on-site restaurant, even though one may be mentioned in the listing. A gym and spa are also advertised, but I didn’t personally see or use them, so I can’t confirm their availability.
My only real downside was that the walls are quite thin, and noise from other guests could sometimes be heard. However, the staff handled this situation very well when it arose.
What truly stood out to me was the staff. They were consistently warm, welcoming, and helpful. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated that they spoke English well, which isn’t always the case even in larger cities. They went above and beyond — even adding me on WeChat to assist with questions, provide recommendations, and check in when needed. Their kindness and attentiveness made a big difference in my stay.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for travelers who value cleanliness, thoughtful amenities, and genuinely excellent service.

The staff was really helpful and friendly as well. As for the room it was spotless and even though we got given a smoking room it didn't smell. All in all pleasant experience.

GGuest UserWe stayed one night at Jinshanling Hanting B&B, and the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from the Great Wall. It’s the perfect spot to catch both sunrise and sunset; the wall opened at 5 a.m. when we visited in early November. Breakfast was included, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend staying overnight for the better light and calmer atmosphere instead of doing a day trip. There’s also a great café nearby. To find the place: walk to the entrance gate, turn right, and it’s on the right side after about 30–50 meters.

QQianqianxiyuI recently visited the Chengde Mountain Resort and stayed at the Guanrong Holiday Hotel. The experience was fantastic, and I had to share my thoughts.
Location and Transportation: The hotel is perfectly situated, right next to the Mountain Resort and not far from Erxianju Commercial Street. It's very convenient for exploring the Mountain Resort, dining, and shopping on the commercial street. Taxis and driving are both convenient. Parking is available, but there are currently no charging stations.
Hotel Facilities: The bedding was soft and comfortable, with the mattress and pillows having the perfect firmness, allowing for a good night's sleep. There is a public restroom on the first floor.
The breakfast selection was quite good, with basic fare like bread, fried dough sticks, coffee, milk, and soy milk, as well as some simple stir-fries and fried rice, which basically satisfied my breakfast needs.
Service: I received a free room upgrade, and the hotel staff were warm and friendly. From check-in to check-out, their professionalism and attentiveness were evident in every aspect. The front desk staff handled the process quickly and efficiently, and they also proactively provided information about nearby tourist attractions and transportation.
Overall, this is a highly recommended hotel. If you're visiting the Chengde Mountain Resort, this is a great choice.

IIkkyuSojunThe hotel's location is pretty good, and the surroundings are very quiet. It's only about a 19-minute drive to Jinshanling Great Wall. However, the Jinshanling exit on the G45 Beijing-Chengde Expressway is closed, so you have to take a detour.
When there are fewer guests, breakfast is served individually with generous portions. When it's busy, they open a buffet with a wider variety of options.
The room was spacious, great for families. But there were a lot of ladybugs (or 'stink bugs' as some call them) that somehow got into the room; we had to clear them out as soon as we checked in.
The bathroom drain was clogged, so the facilities definitely need some maintenance. It's probably okay for a 1-2 night stay.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and they were quite good. After checking in and resting up, we hiked the Great Wall after 3 PM. We didn't take the cable car at all. It's about a 20-minute walk from the hotel to Zhuanduokou, and we took our time enjoying the scenery. The path down from Houchuankou has stairs. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Jinshanling!
