Hotels in Chenggong New District, Kunming

Everything was pretty good, and the hotel was new. It's right next to the subway station, and the hotel even offers a shuttle service. We visited Haiyan Village and Guandu Ancient Town. The surrounding area isn't very lively. We stayed here because we were going to Dali. The only thing was that nothing from the package deal we booked was given to us. I only remembered the elephant when my son saw it in the room and asked me about it. I then had to ask the front desk about it.

I initially booked this hotel online without much thought, and honestly, the value for money is absolutely incredible. The lobby greeted me with a lovely floral scent, and the front desk staff were professional and efficient, making check-in super fast. They patiently answered all my questions, and when they found out we enjoyed watching sports, they even upgraded us to a deluxe cinema king room. Watching the World Cup on the 120-inch screen was fantastic! The room was spotless, the bathroom had no strange odors or water stains, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The whole room was well-ventilated and felt fresh. The facilities were well-maintained and looked new; the lighting, hot water, and air conditioning all worked perfectly. The soundproofing was excellent, so I wasn't bothered by any hallway noise. Downstairs, it's right next to Wanda Plaza, and just a bit further is Qicai Yunnan No.1 City, so you can find any kind of food you're craving. Unfortunately, it's been raining a lot in Kunming recently. I went out without an umbrella, got caught in the rain, and started feeling a bit sick. I ordered some medicine and filled in the address provided by the front desk, but after waiting over half an hour, it still hadn't arrived. My phone even showed it as delivered. I called the delivery driver to ask where it was, and it turned out he had delivered it to the wrong building. He refused to come back and redeliver it, and then hung up on me, which made me furious. I asked the front desk for help finding my medicine. When they learned I had a cold, they brought me a cup of hot water for my medicine and thoughtfully brought an umbrella, reminding me that it's rainy season in Kunming and it's better to carry one. Their service truly warmed my heart. I will definitely be strongly recommending this place to my friends here.

I stayed one night at the Hilton Garden Inn Kunming South, which was the last night of my Yunnan trip, and I was very satisfied. Both the interior and exterior of the hotel are beautiful, with lots of floral and green elements. The internal corridors are exceptionally wide, enough for three or four people to walk side-by-side, feeling more spacious than other chain hotels I've stayed in. The surroundings are very convenient. It's near a university town, with all sorts of delicious snacks, night markets, and restaurants nearby. The pickled cabbage and beef hotpot was especially good. It's also close to Kunming South Railway Station, and they offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the station. The hotel staff provided excellent service. The female receptionist was very kind and enthusiastic, giving me a free room upgrade. There was also an auntie who helped with laundry, and the shuttle driver was very good too. It's definitely worth staying here.

This room was infested with mosquitoes. Mosquitoes and other bugs were crawling all over us while we slept. Apart from Joyce Wang at the front desk, who was excellent, the service from everyone else was truly disappointing. They kept passing the buck when I tried to address the mosquito problem. First, they said they'd switch our room, but after waiting half an hour with no update, I called again and was told it wasn't possible, and that was that. Only after I got really angry did they suggest the manager could arrange for us to pay to move to another hotel room. It was already past 11 PM – what's the point of moving then? While the hotel being fully booked might be true, it's no excuse for such poor service and attitude. Leaving guests in a bug-ridden room is unacceptable. I do not recommend staying here.

The staff were warm, polite, and provided excellent service with a smile. Check-in was efficient and quick, and they were patient and thorough throughout. They proactively offered information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and travel tips, and promptly answered any questions I had. Their professionalism and thoughtfulness made me feel incredibly welcome. The room itself was clean and tidy, well-equipped, and the bedding was comfortable. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a high quality of rest. With its standardized service, first-class environment, and convenient location, this hotel is a top choice in the Chenggong area of Kunming. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Kunming, and I genuinely recommend it to all my friends.

I've stayed here several times now. It's right in Colorful Yunnan, and there are plenty of restaurants downstairs, making dining incredibly convenient. The rooms are uniquely designed and very spacious. For the same price, I doubt you could find another hotel with rooms this large. The attention to detail in the room's decor is also very thoughtful. They even provide a washing machine and a drying rack, which is a huge plus since it's often hard to find a place to dry clothes after washing them. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a fantastic view of a sizable lake. You can sit and enjoy panoramic views of the lake and the city. Overall, my experience was extremely satisfying.

房間比圖片上看着還大一點，佈局合理，行李箱攤開也不覺得擠。空調製冷快，遙控器也好操作。枕頭是記憶枕，非常柔軟，睡得很好。前台姑娘小雷説話都很有禮貌，不會大呼小叫，感覺管理挺規範的。位置嘛，導航直接到，門口就能停車/打車。性價比確實高，比之前住過的貴一倍的酒店體驗還好，五星沒毛病。周邊超市及吃東西都特別方便！

Very close to Kunming South Station, which is super convenient, and they offer a pick-up/drop-off service. The breakfast was plentiful, the room was very clean, and the pillows were especially comfortable. There's also a dedicated elevator for the private parking lot.
