Close to the nearest Oishi station and was like a residential area. I had to transfer to Koshien Stadium and Himeji. Only shower, but I think it is better for the main tourist than accommodation. There was a drag store next to it, and it was convenient to buy a little snack.

It would take a whole page of details to describe how nice this place is in 2020. I stayed there three times, each time in different rooms, each time perfect. It is just NICE. Location is perfect, quiet yet one stop from Kobe, the neighborhood is romantic like Greenwich Village or Montmartre or a nice place in San Francisco. The little house is very cute, very homey, with a large common space. The staff are incredible. Just rush to stay there before the team get old and change business. For the time being, they are super super master of genuine hospitality. They made me understand what is the pinnacle of a ”guesthouse Japanese style”. There is an elevated railway line running just on the other side of the street. It is not a problem because during the night, there are no trains. I fully recommend this place. Facilities: Normal, what a hotel should have. Hygiene: Normal, the overall hygiene of the room is fine, the public area is not so clean, it may be due to the weather. Environment: Need to climb the mountain, take care if you have large luggage. The courtyard is not well maintained. Service: The service is actually a bit confusing, because I occasionally heard the front desk speak Chinese, but whenever I talked to her, it was English and Japanese, which I couldn't understand.

There is no breakfast nor dinner provided by this onsen hotel, and restaurants close a bit early. If you’re looking for an onsen meal, you maybe disappointed if you staying here. Beware if you’re a foodie. The sound insulation is poor, please keep your voice down. Since the first night I arrived was windy and rainy, and the curtain for blocking the sun is made of bamboo, it kept hitting on the window all night long. There is no elevators and the stairs is very steep, be careful if you bringing many luggages. Although the servers do not understand English, they are very friendly and willing to help! Overall, I enjoyed a lot while the staying. Thank you!

What to say about Kaiyu ?! That we were so pleasantly surprised by the place in itself. A former business hotel which was transformed by Mitsu and his family into a warm cosy, with a sustainable spirit, and finely decorated place while keeping the original structure. Each room has its personality and every room has a wonderful view on the Oki beach. The welcome was very warm and simple at the same time. The onsen was just pure hapiness ! Sharing moments and meals with Mitsu, his family and the other guests was sincerely joyful and invigorating, with a special mention to Tae who cooks divinely well. We did feel like home. Very enjoyable 2 weeks stay during business trip to Sanda-Sasayama from Malaysia. Location very near to Flower Town (Kobe Dentetsu) Train Station which is very convenient to access. Also easy to access to department store AEON and Nishiyama Supermarket to get a foods. The most delighted is free parking!!! Thoroughly, myself very satisfied with hotel service, facilities and staff are very kind.

We stayed at Tsuruya Ryoukan for a night, and had an excellent dinner and breakfast. The steamed crab and Tajima beef sukiyaki were especially wonderful. The service is excellent, and the inn is located within walking distance of two onsen! Just outside the inn, there is a place to make onsen eggs and a walkway filled with cherry blossoms. It was a really special experience!

I give 5star although its 12min walk away from station because its so near shops and castle. Service i also give 5star because they let me leave my luggage before check in time.. but be sure you be there before 10am. Its quite old place. Rooms at second floor. I like it they let me choose the empty space i wanted instead of assigning any bed to me..

I stayed here for easy local bus access to Izushi castle town. The staff were very welcoming and on arrival you get to choose 2 free items from the ‘mini bar’ (beer, soft drink, chocolate, chips). The hotel is very functional. I had a double bed room and I think you could squeeze (and I mean squeeze) two small suitcases and still be able to walk in the room. The bed was typically very firm but the more European pillows were soft. Hallway and other room noise (TVs) comes under the door but as the clientele seemed to be be mostly Japanese and very respectful, it was quiet around 10pm. The set Japanese breakfast is very filling. If you are on a budget, Sky Hotel is a good base for day trips (12min local train, Y200) to Kinosaki-onsen.

Everything was good, but when I tried to pay the additional amount when checking out, they told me to pay even the room price I paid in advance when making the reservation, saying it was a 'tax'. After 5 minutes of us checking and finding out, they suddenly said to themselves, ”Oh,” and told me the amount to pay again. It was so At first, I thought it was a mistake, but when I thought about it, I saw that in Japan, even for small mistakes, they apologize repeatedly and say Moshiwake Gozaimasu, but the employee never said a single word of gomennasai. Are we Mistake? So, I guess we just said Hi My Steak and that because we are foreigners, we tried to eat the cash by ourselves, but if you read the review, don't live such a pitiful life. Really. And if you are a foreigner who wants to go here, beware of the guy wearing glasses who looks like the manager.
