Although it's an older, traditional hotel, the stay was still excellent. Apart from seeing a few people lounging or sitting with their legs crossed in the lobby – whether guests or locals waiting around, I'm not sure – everything else maintained a five-star premium feel. It's located in a prime downtown area, near Nanmendou Metro Station, a 10-minute walk from Wushan Scenic Area, and 1.1 km from the Lin Zexu Memorial Hall. The hotel lobby connects directly to the Shangri-La Fanghui Mall, making shopping, art, and leisure very convenient. We stayed in room 1112, which overlooked Wuyi Square, a major landmark in downtown Fuzhou and one of only two places in China (besides Tiananmen Square) where a flag-raising ceremony is held daily. We unfortunately missed it because we weren't aware beforehand! Our three-day stay was truly memorable, and this will be our top choice for accommodation next time we visit Fuzhou.

The location is fantastic, right downstairs to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, with plenty of food and drinks available. The European-style decor is beautiful, and the full-house smart voice control is a major highlight—you can operate lights and curtains with just your voice. There were no strange smells in the hallway or laundry room, which is a big plus. The sofa bed is very large, easily accommodating 1-2 people. The only thing I found not so great was the smart toilet. It was almost too smart, making it difficult to operate. Adjusting flushing or temperature required carefully reading the instructions multiple times. Its user-friendliness is far inferior to models with a remote control or a wall-mounted panel.

This was the worst InterContinental I've ever stayed at. The only redeeming qualities were the decent breakfast and the polite and courteous staff. Facilities: Although the hotel had AC controls, they were just for show and couldn't be adjusted. I woke up freezing in the middle of the night and had to call the front desk, who promptly sent an extra blanket. Unfortunately, I've already caught a cold. The decor is quite outdated, and the toiletries provided were less than what I've come to expect from other InterContinental hotels.

Hilton Fuzhou Sanfang Qixiang boasts an excellent location right by the Min River. After dinner, a stroll along the riverside is incredibly pleasant! The hotel staff are friendly and provide great service, responding quickly to any requests. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, the environment is lovely, and you get a beautiful view outside the dining room window! The rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and I had a fantastic rest!

I originally wanted to book a hotel on Xiamen Island, but to my surprise, Qianwen recommended this five-star hotel, and its value for money really caught my eye. Upon arrival, I was upgraded to a sea-view room, which was incredibly spacious and spotless. The ocean view from the window was stunning. Directly across from the hotel is a park, and an evening stroll there was lovely with all the beautiful lights. The hotel service was also excellent, and they even offered a complimentary afternoon tea. Breakfast was extensive, and the freshly prepared congee was particularly outstanding. The only minor drawback is that Metro Line 2 is 1.2 kilometers from the hotel, which is a bit far. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, definitely a 5-star experience!

Visiting Fuzhou to see a friend, they recommended the Lakeside Hotel by Fuzhou's West Lake. I'd stayed here once before, but my memory was a bit hazy. This time, checking in, I had a strange sense of familiarity... What I love most is the peaceful environment despite being in the heart of the city. The hotel provides ample parking, which is incredibly convenient for me as a self-driver. I also adore the beautiful West Lake views that greet you as soon as you open the curtains, and even more so, the relaxation of soaking in the large bathtub and the leisurely strolls along the lakeside path.

Brought my 85-year-old mother to Quanzhou and chose the InterContinental brand, which I love. The InterContinental Quanzhou Taihe definitely delivered! The river view room offered a beautiful vista of the Jinjiang Bridge and part of the roundabout, which looked even prettier when lit up at night. I especially loved the bathtub by the window! The service was incredibly attentive. I really liked the lovely ladies at the front desk, Anna and Angelia – so sweet, charming, and meticulous. The staff in the Executive Lounge were also very polite and attentive, and the young man who helped with the station transfer was very thorough and careful. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and the executive privileges were all quite generous. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Quanzhou.

The shangri-la putian is conveniently located opposite a huge shopping mall and beside a garden. The room was nice and cosy and the service was attentive and impeccable, with Melvin (?) accompanying us to the room and constantly asked if we needed help with anything. All the staff were friendly and helpful and gave us many suggestions on where we could go during our stay and rarely have we experienced such excellent level of hospitality when staying at similar hotels. The river view we had was amazing. Food at shang garden was tasty, and Lydia's service was excellent, offering us extra snacks and soup. The portions served were huge and reasonably priced. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Putian! 莆田香格里拉酒店地理位置优越，对面就是大型购物中心，旁边就是花园。房间舒适温馨，服务周到细致，一位名叫（Melvin）的服务员亲自送我们到房间，在大堂碰到我们时会问我们是否需要任何帮助。所有员工都非常友好热情，为我们提供了很多游玩建议。入住类似酒店，我们很少体验到如此卓越的服务。房间的河景令人惊艳。香园餐厅的菜肴美味可口，服务员（Lydia）的服务也无可挑剔，还主动为我们提供了额外的点心和汤。菜量十足，价格也十分合理。强烈推荐给所有来莆田的游客！!

The location is fantastic, right by Yuandang Lake, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The front desk even upgraded me to a room on the 7th floor with a great view. Honestly, I wasn't originally planning on staying here because I was worried that, being an older hotel, the facilities might be outdated and uncomfortable. But my friends in Xiamen strongly recommended it. The room was clean and tidy, although the bathroom was a bit old-fashioned with a bathtub. However, it had a rain shower head with good water pressure. The toilet also showed its age, but for a hotel in this price range, it really exceeded my expectations. The biggest surprise was the Napoleon pastry at their cafe. It was crispy, nutty, not too sweet, and not greasy. I actually think it's better than the one at Lady M in Shanghai. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Xiamen.

This hotel feels like a natural oxygen bar! It's right next to a lake, and there are so many different types of trees on the property, making the air super fresh. Every morning, I woke up to the sound of birds singing. It's perfect for those driving, as there's ample parking both above ground and in a large underground garage. Within a few minutes' drive, you can find shops and restaurants, and major shopping areas like Nanmendou are just a 10-minute drive away. The staff here are incredibly welcoming. The security guards not only help with parking but also proactively offer to assist with luggage and guide you to the lobby, which was fantastic! Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff even provided information about the swimming pool and gym without me asking. The hotel has a lovely Chinese courtyard style that's very comfortable. My room was clean and tidy, with a balcony and a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom. Each building has security personnel, which is a big plus. If you order takeout, it gets delivered to the first floor, and the security staff arrange for a little robot to bring it to your room – super cool! The breakfast offered a rich variety, including local rice noodles and vermicelli.
