Choosing Shangri-La for our trip to Fuzhou with the baby was absolutely the best decision! The location is unbeatable; it's super convenient for getting anywhere we wanted to go, and there are tons of great restaurants nearby for easy foodie exploration. The hotel is a bit older, so some of the facilities show their age, but it didn't impact our stay at all. The room was also free of any strange odors. Our dedicated concierge, Cynthia, was incredibly warm and thoughtful, and always responded quickly. Since we were traveling with a child, she proactively arranged everything from bed rails and children's amenities to bedtime sweet soup. There were even welcome gifts for the little one and homemade hotel cookies! One day, after our baby went swimming, we asked Cynthia to arrange some brown sugar ginger tea, and she had it delivered in no time. The hotel breakfast was delicious too. Right next door is a mall with a 'Yabao Paradise' that our baby loved so much, he didn't want to leave. The Jiangnan Zao restaurant there was also fantastic. Aside from the uncooperative weather, everything about this trip was perfect and comfortable. A huge thank you to Cynthia! Next time we're in Fuzhou, Shangri-La will definitely be our first choice again. As they say, an old Ferrari is still a Ferrari!

The location of the hotel is great. Just outside, to the east side of the old town (古城), with a few minutes' walk. Near a bus stop too, where we can get to most places pretty conveniently or a good pick up spot for taxi. Our room is pretty spacious and well-lit. Big bed. The column where the TV hangs on it's kind of a weird design but ok. They provide a sufficient amount of supplies for the bathroom. Hair dryer is like dyson. I was pretty shocked by that. Definitely a plus. Most of the room is pretty spotless, except the floor can be swept more clean. We found some plastic pieces and a few hairs stuck on the floor, but it's tolerable. We just dealt with it ourselves. Front desk staff are patient and friendly. I think it's worth the money to get their breakfast. It's made fresh every day and has pretty good healthy selections. Self-help laundry machines on 5th floor. We are satisfied with this stay!

My first time ever in Fuzhou! After a lot of back and forth on Trip.com, reading countless reviews and recommendations, I finally settled on the West Lake Hotel. Here's my take on the stay: The young lady who handled my check-in was super friendly, and the process was incredibly fast. When I mentioned I had an early flight and needed to leave soon, she proactively arranged a breakfast box for me. Talk about thoughtful service! Hotel Environment: The lobby is bright and adorned with numerous handicrafts and artworks. The best part? There's a Starbucks right in the lobby! My room rate included a complimentary Starbucks coffee every day, which saved me so much time. I could grab a coffee and then stroll through West Lake Park right outside the hotel. Room Facilities: The moment I opened my room door, West Lake Park was right there, offering a beautiful view. All the amenities in the room were new and very well-maintained. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job – rooms were clean, fast, and thorough. Restaurant Service: The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring both Western and Chinese options, along with plenty of local Fuzhou snacks. However, the restaurant service was rather disappointing and fell short. The breakfast box was quite slapdash and arrived more than ten minutes late, even after the front desk called multiple times to rush it. Inside the big box was just one egg, one milk, and two small buns... a completely cold and uninspired breakfast. Why the fifteen-minute delay for that?! This breakfast box really doesn't live up to the hotel's star rating; it was truly frustrating. All the great feelings I'd accumulated during my stay were instantly shattered....

Booked this hotel for a business trip. The front desk staff were friendly and incredibly diligent. They offered turn-down service, and the breakfast in the morning had a great variety and was very plentiful. It's only one bus stop away from the airport and easy to find.

Bringing my family for a vacation in Xiamen, our stay here was luxurious yet incredibly cozy! ✨ • **Prime Location:** Situated in a bustling part of Xiamen, getting around was super easy. Surrounded by shopping areas and attractions, it was convenient to reach popular spots like Gulangyu Island and Xiamen University, while also meeting our family's daily shopping and dining needs. • **Impeccable Cleanliness:** Both our room and the public areas were spotless. The high-quality bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the bathroom facilities were clean and exquisite. The attention to detail really showcased German precision, making both the elderly and children feel completely at ease. • **Exceptional Service:** From the doorman's welcome to room service, the care was attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. The staff proactively looked after our family's needs, such as providing children's amenities and arranging luggage handling. For my Quanzhou trip, I chose the InterContinental Taihe, initially drawn by its convenient location, close to all the main attractions. I booked an Executive Suite, which included Executive Lounge access. The room offered simultaneous views of the Ferris wheel and Jinjiang Bridge – you could watch the tide come and go during the day, and the nighttime views were even more stunning. Right next door was the Maritime Silk Road Xunfeng Night Market, bustling with local life. From check-in onwards, the staff's service was exceptional, especially Ms. Xiao Mao. Her service was consistently attentive and responsive to every request. The room key card was also very unique and made for a nice souvenir. The breakfast is highly recommended; it featured almost every type of Quanzhou snack, allowing you to savor global delicacies without leaving the hotel. Western dishes, fruits, and regular breakfast items were also plentiful. It truly lives up to its reputation as a 'World City of Gastronomy,' and I can understand why international visitors also choose to stay here.

Service: The service was incredibly attentive and efficient. They were very quick to respond to requests, definitely a five-star experience. Environment: The view was fantastic, overlooking the Min River. We got to watch the sunset, which was absolutely beautiful. Facilities: The TV wasn't a smart TV, so we couldn't cast anything to it. Hopefully, they'll update that soon. I really liked the toiletries, though. Breakfast: There was a good variety of options, but the taste was just average. It was extremely crowded, and there was a lot of waiting in line.

This is a family friendly hotel which exceeds our expectations. They have provided excellent services, and served a great selections during breakfast. The hot latte has added so much value to the whole dining experience. What stood out among other hotels, is the amount of quality washing machine and dryers. The room layout options are plenty too. Big families like us really appreciate having choices on the combination of 2/4/6 pax in a room. We would definitely return when we revisit Xiamen.
