Beyond the parking, the hotel's location is excellent, right within the pedestrian street. The staff were all incredibly nice. After arriving, one lovely lady helped me with my luggage and my child during check-in, while another guided us to the partner parking lot. During the French holidays, the pedestrian street area was packed, and parking took some time. While waiting at a red light, the lady even took the opportunity to tell us about the history of the arcade buildings on the pedestrian street (much appreciated!). There was a slight hiccup on the night we stayed. I took some hand-washed clothes (shirts, t-shirts) to the hotel dryer. When I got to the laundry room, there was only one dryer available. Another lady was still washing her clothes (looked like she'd be another ten to fifteen minutes). This lady blocked me from using the empty dryer, saying she needed it after her wash was done. After several attempts to communicate, she just stood in front of the empty dryer, insisting she'd use it once her wash was finished. If she had been a bit more polite, it wouldn't have been a big deal and we could have figured something out, but her attitude was particularly bad. This is a matter of principle: in any public space, it's first-come, first-served. We're all paying guests. I went back to my room to call the concierge to ask them to mediate. They came over quickly (a gentleman who was waiting nearby overheard and proactively finished his drying early). I'm mentioning this incident to highlight the warmth of the hotel's service. Afterward, I also seriously discussed this with the children who were with me, reminding them that in life, we'll inevitably encounter frustrating people, and it's important to reasonably express our position and firmly assert our rightful claims. In summary, the hotel's location, decor style, and service quality are all highly recommended.

The executive suite here is quite good, much more spacious than the hotels I've stayed at before, and the price is reasonable. It's right on the food street; for lunch, I just popped over to the Wengling Ginger Duck next door. Plus, it's pretty close to the Puppet Theater, Quanzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, and Guan Gong Temple. The walls on the ground floor and in the parking lot are also great for photos. It's a shame I was in a rush this time. I hope I get another chance to stay longer next time and properly experience the tea room and the hairpin making.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Vishan Garden Banquet, and it was truly the highlight of my time in Xiamen. If you are looking for a stay that combines traditional elegance with impeccable modern service, this is the place to be. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail of my stay was handled with care. Their hospitality was professional, warm, and genuinely attentive. Whether you are visiting Xiamen for a relaxing getaway or attending a special event, the Vishan Garden Banquet offers an experience that is both luxurious and culturally rich. I cannot recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning on my next trip!

The room was well-equipped, and the bath towels and regular towels were clean and thick. The trash cans had sorting compartments, and the leaf-shaped soap smelled lovely. Breakfast was plentiful, and we got to try all the local snacks. I even saw many people in ethnic costumes taking photos; I'm not sure if it was a special service provided by the hotel, but we were in a hurry and didn't have time to ask.

This time, I brought my dad, husband, and son for a family trip to Fuzhou, and we chose to stay at the Shangri-La Fuzhou. The overall experience was absolutely perfect! 💯 The hotel's location is superb, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and shopping. The lobby has an elegant and grand atmosphere, and the rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortably laid out. It was quiet and relaxing to stay there, and our whole family had a wonderful rest. I must especially commend Cynthia, the front desk staff, for her incredibly gentle and professional service. She handled our check-in efficiently and thoughtfully, showing patience and meticulousness throughout. She proactively helped us with various matters and even kindly assisted with issuing the accommodation invoice. The process was smooth and hassle-free, demonstrating full professionalism, which made us feel incredibly at ease and worry-free. The overall service is excellent, the environment is comfortable, and the facilities are complete, making it particularly suitable for family trips with children. Everyone in my family was very satisfied. We will definitely prioritize staying here again on our next visit to Fuzhou, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

Facilities: Excellent, very new. Hygiene: Superb, very clean. Environment: Beautiful, convenient. Service: Very attentive. Extra points for its prime location in Jimei Xiamen, another five points for being a pet-friendly hotel. The rooftop garden, pool, and sea view add another five points, and the hotel's own indoor parking ensures a worry-free stay – that's another five points right there!

The Kempinski Hotel Xiamen, located by the stunning Yundang Lake, receives rave reviews! It boasts breathtaking lake views, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The 'Little Yellow Duck' family room is particularly charming and fun, equipped with a tent and various toys – a real lifesaver for families with kids. The service is attentive and thoughtful, with a 24-hour butler on call. The buffet at the second-floor café is incredibly rich and varied, featuring Da Dong roast duck, freshly steamed seafood, and plump salmon sashimi. The Yue Fu Grand Restaurant offers authentic Cantonese cuisine and dim sum. The hotel's location is also great for families, with Yundang Lake Park and Nanhu Park within walking distance. It's perfect for both business trips and family vacations, with attention to detail that makes it highly recommended!

I accidentally booked this homestay, but it was a very pleasant surprise! This time, the group built 15 people, basically wrapped the whole homestay, colleagues are very satisfied with this homestay, first, the environment is very good, clean and comfortable, there is no noisy sound, second, the decoration style of the homestay and the bedding in the room, the toiletries are very high-end, Every time I stay in a hotel, I have high requirements for these details. Although this homestay may not be as good as the net red store, I think it is really recommended for everyone to experience it. It is cost-effective, the environment is good, and the breakfast in the morning is made by the boss himself. The noodles paste is the best I drink. Don't brag! I also stayed at the homestay for the first time, writing my real feelings, next time I plan to go to Xiapu in June, I have already told the boss that I will stay again!

The first night, we were assigned to the guesthouse, which I found inconvenient and didn't want to go to, but they said the main building was fully booked. The room was very spacious, which the two kids loved. It was indeed a bit out of the way, but the shuttle service made it very convenient, getting us to the main building within five minutes. The second night, we stayed in a family room on the first floor of the main building, which I personally really liked, and my younger daughter absolutely adored. Honestly, the first-floor room wasn't musty or damp as some online reviews claimed. As for breakfast, it was incredibly rich and hearty – we were stuffed! It was much more plentiful than the breakfast at the InterContinental we stayed at last year. Finally, regarding the service, my older son said he could find fault with other aspects, but the service was truly impeccable.

Huge thanks to the hotel for the complimentary upgrade to an Executive View Room! The room faced Gulangyu Island, offering beautiful scenery every day. Water and toothbrushes were delivered promptly, and the breakfast selection was quite varied. Overall, it was worth the price. The only complaint is that upon checkout, they deducted an extra 25 RMB from my deposit without notifying me. When I called to ask, they said it was for a refrigerator magnet. I recall the magnet was on the table, not in the mini-bar, and I genuinely thought it was a complimentary gift from the hotel. I checked once I got home, and there was no price indicated on it. Since I had already left, I didn't bother arguing about it further.

EElizabeth Frances RoseThis place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

AAnonymous UserThe room was decent, and the hotel is conveniently located near the seaside and the ferry terminal. It's right next to Zhonghua City, and just a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, though I wouldn't recommend Zhongshan Road as the environment isn't great. The Botanical Garden, Huli Mountain Fortress, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, the Coastal Road, and the 'Sea View of Kinmen' tour from Heping Wharf are all worth visiting. Definitely avoid the offshore cruises recommended by people on the street – they're usually from sketchy companies. Breakfast offered a good variety, but the soy milk and fried dough sticks were a bit cold, and I couldn't get used to the duck blood in the oyster vermicelli soup.

GGuest UserMy stay at the Hilton Fuzhou Sanfang was truly exceptional, setting a benchmark for hotel experiences. The room design maintained Hilton's signature understated elegance, with light gray soft furnishings complemented by traditional Chinese art, showcasing exquisite attention to detail. The high-floor, floor-to-ceiling windows offered unobstructed views of the Min River, with the misty rain adding a unique ambiance to the riverside scenery. The bathroom was well-designed with a dry/wet separation, featuring premium marble flooring, and the freestanding bathtub directly overlooked the river, providing an immersive and luxurious experience. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, exceeding my expectations for a good night's sleep. The butler, Nick, provided prompt and efficient service, making the entire stay seamless and pleasant.

FflubberGrand Honor Hotel is definitely the best hotel in Shishi, but it’s not quite the same level as a luxury hotel in a bigger city. Generally the hotel is clean, but it’s the little things that I noticed, ie when I checked in, there were some sweet wrappers next to the bowl of sweets that weren’t cleared away. That said, the sense of space is evident in the hotel lobby, lifts, corridors and most importantly, the hotel rooms. Rooms are very spacious and well-designed, although the closet area can definitely do with brighter lights. Most amenities are provided but what put me off is that many items that would have been free in other hotels at this price-range aren’t free at Grand Honor. There is a Chinese tea set on the table and usually the loose leaf tea is provided for free but it cost ¥15 per packet. Honestly it’s not a lot of money for us, but on the flip side, surely the hotel can provide a bag of tea leaves for their guests. There are the standard free single-use packet tea in the drawer so at least there’s that. In-room slippers are not to be taken out; they’d charge you if you do - and that’s fine, but the slippers are actually really uncomfortable to wear. The small plate of fruits (banana, plum and mandarin) given at 5pm every day is a nice touch. The hotel breakfast is probably the highlight. Set on the 22nd floor with panoramic views of the city, breakfast is very enjoyable. The food quality is pretty good, but a real surprise here is the sheer diversity of food. The bread selection alone has 5-6 choices (pastries, brioche, baguette, square toast, etc), the cooked food section is almost endless (and there’s cooked Chinese vegetables! 👏🏾) and then there’s the fruit selection at the end too. My only gripe is that the coffee machine is a bit slow, and there’s only one machine so there can be a wait for coffee. Location of the hotel is a little odd; good restaurants and the main mall is about 15 mins’ walk away. There aren’t many good shops to wander around nearby. Generally, this is a solid hotel for this price point. Excellent service with very fast food delivery (using the ubiquitous delivery robots) and friendly front desk staff.

GGuest UserBooked too late, so all the hotels in the city center couldn't accommodate my booking requirements. I had no choice but to opt for Shoukia Junlan Hotel. The hotel's location is indeed a bit out of the way, but it's right by a subway station, which is convenient for those without a car. The subway goes directly to the Sanqixiang Scenic Area. Since I arrived quite late on the day of check-in, I had dinner directly at the ground floor restaurant. The hotel's Chinese food was quite good and the portions were generous. We ate until past 9 PM, and the staff were still very polite and didn't complain. Also, Auntie Zhu Yuanyuan, our room attendant on the tenth floor, was incredibly warm and polite, always ready to help with anything we needed. She promptly arranged anything we requested. Highly recommend!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel environment is impeccable, with spacious public areas and beautiful birdsong and flowers. Perched on a hill, I was woken up every morning around 5 or 6 by the chirping of various birds. It's about a 15-minute walk to Xiamen University and Putuo Temple, though it's uphill and a bit tiring, but taxis are quite convenient. The room was also very large, with a bedroom offering a distant view of the rooftops of Xiamen University. All in-room facilities were well-equipped. While I wouldn't delve too deeply into the cleanliness details, it was acceptable, but the sound of water running from the rooms above or next door was particularly noisy. The service was excellent, with prompt responses to all requests! Overall, I was satisfied, with one exception: the breakfast was too basic. It felt like it cost less than five yuan to make, truly the most perfunctory breakfast I've ever had in decades of staying at hotels. We ended up ordering takeout for the kids for both days, so I don't think it's worth booking a rate that includes breakfast. I'd like to offer a suggestion to the hotel: with such a great location and environment, it should strive for perfection by putting more thought into improving the breakfast. For tourists, a hearty breakfast is truly important. If a buffet isn't feasible due to cost-cutting, at least the set menu could be more varied, instead of just offering a bowl of congee and one or two pre-made buns every day, which is quite unappetizing.

GGuest UserI stumbled upon this hidden gem of a guesthouse! It's perfectly situated in Yu Island Village, right between the northern coastline of Pingtan Island and Jing Sand's 'Little Iceland'. Even though the weather wasn't ideal and it was drizzling, I still managed to get some beautiful photos with a different kind of charm. Each room has its unique character, and the one-on-one butler service was prompt and thoughtful. I booked a 270-degree sea view room this time, and you can take photos and enjoy the ocean from any angle. If the weather were clear, you could even open the curtains and watch the sunrise directly from your bed. Every room also features a wet/dry separation in the bathroom, which is a big plus for those who are particular about cleanliness. The restaurant's dining environment is also very elegant, and the food is fresh. The infinity pool right outside my room was perfect for getting some amazing shots. The guesthouse's attention to detail is truly impressive. I even had a peek at other room types, and the decor and amenities for each one were so thoughtfully put together. You can even have afternoon tea delivered directly to your room by the butler. The facilities are comprehensive, including charging stations, a pantry, showers, and a laundry room. I absolutely adore Pingtan on a cloudy day; it has such a unique charm. And I also love 'Youjian Luludang' (this guesthouse) because it makes me want to visit Pingtan Island again and again. While you're young, come to Luludang and enjoy your Pingtan trip!

GGuest UserThe room was fantastic, and they even gave the kids some arcade tokens, which they loved. The next morning, we went up to the Cloud Observation Deck. Even though the weather wasn't great and we missed the sunrise, we still got to see a beautiful panoramic view of Longyan city, which was pretty amazing. During the Chinese New Year, they also organized some intangible cultural heritage experiences, like making lacquer fans and woodblock prints. The kids had a blast and even learned something new! 😄😄 The breakfast was incredibly rich with lots of local specialties, and the taste was really authentic. They had both Chinese and Western options, highly recommend it!
