It was a really friendly and comfortable experience. Starting with airport pick-up service, everything was a comfortable itinerary. If you have anything to come back to Queenstown, you would like to visit again.

Among the three Rosewood hotels in New Zealand, Rosewood Matakauri is the most conveniently located in the popular Queenstown, about 7 kilometers from the center of Queenstown to Glenorchy. Matakauri is known as a mountain lakeside resort. Facing the lake, it is quiet and elegant. It is surrounded by the three famous peaks of Queenstown and has excellent privacy. The hotel has excellent hardware and software, all customer service is warm and friendly, and the rooms have been upgraded to lake view suites. Dinner is served in a la carte format, and the cooking is excellent. If the breakfast can be as good as the dinner, it will be even more perfect. The wonderful experience here makes me look forward to the next two Rosewood hotels. Special thanks to Ctrip butler Zi Peng for his professional assistance when there was a little problem with the booking of the like order.

Clean and tidy, warm service. The hotel is small with only nine small houses, good privacy. There is Ms. Bella who speaks Chinese, very warm. The hotel can pick you up in the town, and a taxi from the town is only about 15 yuan. It is a very good hotel suitable for vacation, lying flat in the hotel. The weather has been bad these days, and I only saw the stars in the sky one night. Anyway, it is a very good resort hotel.

Environment: The most important thing is the environment. It is right in the center of Queenstown. Open the window and you will see the largest lake. Facilities: There is a small happy hour living room with many Chinese elements and a wide variety of wines. Hygiene: Hygiene is okay, but water easily flows out of the bathing area Service: The young lady who received me in Queenstown on the first day was very enthusiastic.

This is the most luxurious hotel I've ever stayed in on a trip, though I guess I haven't really stayed in many fancy places, haha. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and gave excellent tips. The bellboy delivered our luggage right to the door, which was a nice touch. You have to take a boat to get to town; it costs $10 per trip with a card, which is a bit pricey, but it was a unique way to travel. Because it's a bit far from the town center, it's very quiet at night with minimal light pollution. You can step outside and see the stars, and the pool is great. The room itself was fantastic, though the lighting was a little dim. The bathroom was spacious.

I'd say the lake view with ”The Remarkable” backgroundfrom the room is definitely worth the money. Staff are generally friendly but the cleanliness and wear&tear has quite some room for improvement in order to claim themselves a 5-star hotel. Overall, I'm pleased with the stay, the location is considered convenient if you drive as it's only takes 5 minutes drive to downtown.

The hotel charged service fees and forcibly deducted money from the credit card. Our family had dinner at the hotel. The hotel waiter thought we were foreigners and didn’t speak good English, so the bill was wrong. After we checked the prices one by one, they changed it.

Unfortunately, my stay was not very comfortable. The soundproofing is very poor, and there is a nightclub nearby that plays very loud music late into the night, making it difficult to sleep. For those who drive, can park on the roadside across the street for free after 6pm. In addition, the shower water pressure was very low, which was disappointing.

This hotel truly makes you want to stay for a long time. I absolutely love the room's decor – it's simple, cozy, yet luxurious. My favorite part was the fireplace in the room; its heating function was really powerful, and the flames looked so real. After turning it on, the room became wonderfully warm and comfortable. All the other amenities in the room were also complete, like a washing machine, dryer, and in the kitchen, a dishwasher and oven, even though I didn't get to use them. Most importantly, the view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking. The balcony itself is very spacious, extending from the living room to the bedroom. I later found out that directly opposite us was Rokuen Kogen, with snow-capped mountains, a lake view, and charming little houses – a perfect picturesque scene. The room was also very clean. Parking is free and convenient; after checking in at the front desk, they'll tell you which floor of the parking garage to use. A staff member will even be waiting in the parking lot to help with luggage and show you to your room, explaining the facilities. As for breakfast, the offerings were pretty standard, nothing particularly special, though you could order additional fried eggs. The restaurant also boasts a beautiful lake view.

EEphywoldI had 3 night Copthorne Hotel and Resort Queenstown Lakefront the room is clean and basic the bed comfortable l had a good sleep the room to big even had a good seating area coffee tea in the room TV had variety of choices however the bathroom that not that great they need to get rid of that bath basin I am not sure what is purpose? The shower curtain so cheap common if you charge your guests a top dollars you can afford a decent shower curtain it New Zealand not a 3rd world country. All the Wi-fi so terrible even basic email take time to download also what is deposit for if you don't have any minibar in the room? I think all those can improve a good management I had pizz one night taste good anyway this Queenstown accommodation always in short that way they don't care still a good place to crush a big hot two.

GGuest UserThis hotel offers excellent service and boasts new facilities. The rooms are incredibly quiet, ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep. I highly recommend staying here when you visit New Zealand. The amenities are comprehensive, and the self-check-in and check-out process is very smart. It's definitely a top choice for accommodation during your travels.

KKhoThe place is spacious and the location is excellent. It is right next to the main road. After watching the little penguins, you can buy fast food nearby before returning to the hostel. The room is spacious and there are staff on duty at night. You can park at the door, which is very convenient

GGuest UserThe room is very comfortable, the facilities are complete, and the particularly good place is that there is a bathtub that can be SPA, which is so cool! The boss is from Beijing and very talkative. There is a supermarket and a variety of food nearby, which is very convenient.

AAnonymous UserGreat location to base yourself for a few days of seeing Queenstown. (It really is that close.) Nice and friendly staff at check in and throughout. Most helpful. Ents included TV, books, games, couple of guitars, ocassional theme evenings. Couple of outdoor spaces. Bathrooms are fine although if fairly or more than fairly tall, the shower heads are surprisingly low down. I understand the difficulties with this given the time of year but a floor by floor deep clean is probably needed. Whilst I am no member of the fun police, having numerous notes across the place emphasising the need to keep noise down after 10pm, I can see why this might be a bit galling when the staff who live there alongside guests do not abide by this - especially when you have no idea who is a worker who is off duty. Might be impossible given temperatures, but it wasn't ideal to climb into my bunk in the pitch black (other than the light from my phone) and find a cat sleeping there (honestly!) I like a cat but if I hadn't had my phone lit, I would never have known and would have landed forcefully on it. I actually found it quite funny but a lot wouldn't. All hell could have broken loose if I had landed on it. (Amusingly and no joke, I was watching Don't F*** with Cats at the time and had paused it while I climbed in. Perhaps it was written...) Anyway, really nice spot and right for the price. Cheers!

MMonica MartesanoThe view from our room was amazing. However, there was a beam in the room that obstructed the perfect shot, which made the pictures look annoying. The bed was quite dusty, with dust particles visible on the white linens. Additionally, the room was very small, and the online photos were misleading. The toilet was not clean, the room service only replaced the bath towels on the second day and did not perform basic dusting or vacuuming, which is expected in a hotel setting, not an Airbnb. Overall, the view was the only aspect that made our stay enjoyable.

MM15515****Highly recommended! It's a suite design with a kitchen that not only has a stove but also a microwave and oven, and all the basic cooking utensils are provided. Both the living room and bathroom offer lake views, which is incredibly pleasant. The TV supports screen casting, and the bathroom facilities are quite modern. There's even a very small balcony, big enough for two people to stand on. I got a great deal when I booked, but normally it's about 1300-1400 RMB per night. It's a fantastic option if you don't fancy the local food and want to cook your own meals.

__WeChat50082****Our stay was absolutely perfect. The stunning scenery speaks for itself, truly like living inside a postcard. But what really elevated the experience was the hotel's service: the staff were always smiling, greeted us proactively, and the room cleaning was meticulous. Any issues we had were resolved quickly. This attention to detail and thoughtful service, combined with the enchanting environment, significantly enhanced our overall happiness during the stay. Highly recommended. It's about a 10-minute walk to the town center, but the big advantage here is the convenient parking – parking is usually the biggest hassle in Queenstown. Most hotels in New Zealand have a check-out time around 10:00 AM, but if you talk to them, you can usually extend it to 11:00 AM.

::))We were thrilled to be the very first guests to leave a review for this stunning new resort! The location is fantastic, just a quick 10-minute drive to town, and our room offered breathtaking views of the Shot River, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. We arrived around 10 PM, and the hotel reception was impeccably prepared, warmly welcoming us and even upgrading our room! It looked exactly like the photos, with a design and interior that perfectly captured the vibe we were seeking. They had welcome drinks waiting for us, and we appreciated that milk was available on request at any time. The breakfast was a delightful a la carte experience, featuring an array of delicious options. The serving staff was not only attentive and kind but also provided excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants! We also indulged in room service, which exceeded our expectations in both taste and punctuality. Although the fitness room and movie room were still under construction, the small maintenance issue we encountered in the bathroom was addressed swiftly by the staff. Our stay has left us eager to return and see the final results of this new gem. I highly recommend this resort to everyone!
