The entire check-in experience was excellent. The front desk staff were warm and patient. It happened to be Christmas Eve, and they promptly offered blessings and apples when I checked in, which was a lovely surprise. The airport shuttle driver was also very friendly and punctual. The hotel is only about a 10-minute drive from the airport, so I didn't miss breakfast even with an early flight, though I did glimpse the spread and it looked quite abundant. The room was very clean and tidy. If I pass through Fuzhou again, I'll definitely stay here. Of course, their group has many hotel options, and I would prioritize choosing them in other cities too.

This hotel in Xiamen truly has it all! It's conveniently located with a quiet environment, yet all the amenities you need are nearby. Plus, they offer airport pick-up and drop-off, which is a huge bonus. The front desk staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast selection is impressive. It's really great value for money and definitely worth recommending!

Facilities: Good Cleanliness: Good Environment: The location is super convenient; there are so many snack stalls right outside the hotel entrance. Service: The lady at the front desk was amazing! As soon as we opened the room door, we smelled smoke, which was very uncomfortable, especially with a baby. I paid extra to upgrade the room, and I think it was definitely worth it. The hotel also provided free coffee and a note with recommendations for me. If I ever come back to Quanzhou, I'll definitely stay here again.

Several major issues: 1. The complimentary water provided in the room was two bottles of Ice Dew. Having stayed at countless hotels over the years, this was certainly a first. How much more expensive could Nongfu Spring be? 2. Breakfast was incredibly crowded. The front desk was aware of this and even kindly advised guests to avoid dining between 7:30-9:30 AM. Who doesn't eat breakfast during that time? It seems the hotel knows about the problem but instead of expanding their dining area, they tell guests to avoid peak times. The breakfast area is right across from the front desk, and during peak hours, there was a long queue outside the restaurant – another first for me. The dining environment was also very cramped. 3. I booked this hotel specifically because I wanted to be able to open the windows for some fresh air. However, the small window above the main one just pushed open and couldn't be closed tightly. It was very cold during Fuzhou's New Year's Day cold snap. I asked about the central air conditioning, and they said it could provide heat, but all I got was a rush of cold air. I shivered through the night. Given this, I might as well have booked a hotel like the Kempinski with sealed windows. 4. There was no service from the front desk. A proper front desk concierge should add guests on WeChat during check-in. After staying for a day and a night, they only called to ask to add WeChat the night before check-out, just to solicit a good review. I understand service is competitive, but I'm sorry, I really can't give a good review. If they focused on doing things right, I believe good reviews would come naturally. Other points: the breakfast tasted good, the location is excellent, right next to Wuyi Square, and the late check-out until 3:00 PM was convenient. The connected mall is very convenient, and Yabao Paradise was fun. However, these positives don't outweigh the negatives; there were too many problems. I won't be staying here again.

Staying here was the smartest decision I made on this trip to Xiamen! The guesthouse's location is superb; you can walk to the beach to catch the sunrise and sunset. Even better, popular attractions like Xiamen University, Nanputuo Temple, Shapowei, Zhongshan Road, the Botanical Garden, and the Eighth Market are all within a 3km radius, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. The front desk staff were warm and professional, always providing satisfactory answers to any travel questions. The room facilities were excellent; the projector offered a fantastic viewing experience with a wide selection of movies from various streaming services, and there was a free washer and dryer, making my journey even more relaxed and comfortable.

For my two-day trip to Quanzhou, I chose to stay just outside the ancient city for easier transport access, which worked out well. The hotel is conveniently located; after crossing the pedestrian bridge and walking a few hundred meters, you're at Guanyue Temple. Getting around the old town is a breeze with the 'little white cars' (tuk-tuks) costing just two yuan per person. If you're tired, just wave one down and they'll drop you off at the intersection, which is super convenient. A big thanks to the front desk lady for upgrading me to a double room. It wasn't huge, but definitely bigger than a single, I'm sure. The soundproofing in the room was a bit disappointing. Also, there was a notice in the bathroom stating the hot water only lasts for 20 minutes, then you have to wait 30 minutes for it to replenish, which put a little pressure on showering.

We booked a family suite which was very spacious and the bedding was super comfortable. The service was excellent. It's an older, established hotel, so it's not the newest, but the service truly made our stay comfortable. The breakfast was bountiful; I was in a rush and didn't have time to finish my noodles, and the staff even kindly brought them to our room, which was a lovely gesture. The hotel also decorated our room for our wedding anniversary and gave us a cake—thank you, five stars! And the service at the Fudi Restaurant was also great, and the food was delicious. All in all, this stay was very pleasant. Thanks to InterContinental for their service.

This isn't my first stay here; whether for business or personal trips to Xiamen, I almost always choose the Kempinski. The location is convenient, both within the city and for getting around. What I find best is how incredibly smooth the check-in process is at the front desk – there's practically never any waiting. For both travel and business trips, a seamless check-in right after arriving at the airport is the perfect start to a great experience. Beyond the silky-smooth check-in, let's talk about the stay itself. The hotel offers both firm and soft beds, catering to more guests, which I appreciate. The pool is fantastic; if you want to get a proper swim in, it fully delivers. The breakfast, facilities, and everything else truly meet the hotel's positioning. I believe everyone has certain expectations for different hotel standards when booking, so I won't belabor the point (the same goes for breakfast). Essentially, anything you'd expect, they have, and it's all complete. Finally, a word about the staff: friendly, appropriate, and prompt. I think these points alone are reason enough to choose this place. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, the view from the window is also satisfying! ✌️

Found a gem! This B&B's sleep kit is absolutely divine ✨ I've stayed in so many places for business trips, but this is the first time I've been so impressed by the sleep experience at a B&B! The owner is incredibly thoughtful! They provide a custom sleep kit upon check-in, with a super soft latex pillow that felt amazing on my neck – no discomfort from switching beds at all. There's also natural lavender aromatherapy; I lit it before bed, and the whole room had a gentle, subtle fragrance. Paired with the blackout eye mask and silent earplugs, all the outside noise was completely blocked out. I slept soundly until I woke up naturally, pure bliss! This B&B is fantastic! The sleep kit is practical and thoughtful, ensuring a great night's sleep. The environment is clean, service is excellent, and it's superb value for money. Highly recommend!

MM52354****Located inside Zengcuo'an, the restaurant is right downstairs with plenty of food options, making it a great location for those who enjoy shopping and dining. I recommend Mr. Zheng's Restaurant, which also has a branch in Zengcuo'an; their seafood hot pot is delicious, and the service is excellent. The mango sticky rice and sliced meat downstairs are also very tasty. Just outside, there's Zengji Seafood Congee Breakfast Shop, whose congee and oyster omelet are quite good and suitable for breakfast. The beach is about a 10-minute walk away, and you can walk to the music square where there's live music in the evening. The sand is fine, with pebbles and small crabs, which kids enjoy. For the ferry to Gulangyu Island, we booked the 9:10 am ferry, so we had to leave early as the roads are very congested. It took about 50 minutes to reach the pier. We booked a family room, which had two rooms available. It was fine for a family of three with my mother. Everything was disposable and very clean, although the bathroom had a slight odor.

OOhYLThe hotel is situated at a very bustling shopping street area, you can get all the local foods/snacks and a great place to buy souvenirs and gifts. Beside the hotel side door is 24hr mart and Luckin coffee, very convenient. Although the hotel looks abit dated but cleanliness is still up to standard and room is spacious. Laundry room and gym is abit hectic to get to, u need to climb a flight of stairs from 2nd floor to 3rd floor ( not accessible by lift). I liked the customer services from the reception and housekeeping, they attended to our issues promptly and sincerely. We had enjoyed the stay with the hotel.

GGuest UserFrom my experience at 4 different accommodations in the Jinjiang/Quanzhou area, I have come to learn that the cleanliness (or rather, lack thereof) at this hotel is typical of this area at this price range. So I don’t want to make it sound worse than it deserves. That said, the first thing I saw when I entered the room was a gross-looking tangle of hair on the floor. I sent a WeChat message to the person managing it, and to their credit they were very apologetic and sent someone to clean it up, which they did (I was gone at the time). When I got back, though, I was disappointed that although that particular tangle of hair had been cleaned up, the rest of the floor still had visible dust and who-knows-what on it. I ended up seeing a broom and dustpan in the hallway against another door, and I decided to briefly borrow it and quickly sweep my own floor so I didn’t have to feel like it was gross. After that it was ok. Also, there was a sort of dank, unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, which I believe is from the drain. The toilet is the kind that you are not supposed to flush toilet paper down (instead put it in the bin next to the toilet), so it’s also possible the smell was the result of that system after the previous occupant’s stay. There is a water problem in the bathroom such that when you take a shower, water ends up sitting in a kind of puddle on the floor near the sink, so it’s hard for the bathroom to ever be entirely dry, which no doubt also adds to the difficulty of keeping the bathroom smelling fresh. The room itself was big and included a washing machine, which was very helpful! There was a little kitchen area and a kettle and such. Water bottles were supplied every day. The bed was comfortable and clean. There was a sofa and a coffee table, and another sort of recliner seat near the window. Unfortunately the coffee table looked dirty (some sort of sticky residue on it) from the last occupant, so I didn’t want to put anything on it. The location is right next to the Jinjiang airport, which is of course convenient for arriving or departing by plane. Checkin was done via WeChat - I just told them I had arrived, and they sent me a code for the door. There was no one at the front desk when I arrived, but I can’t say for sure that no one is ever there. Possibly if I had waited longer someone would have come, I don’t know. For all the negative comments I had above, I want to repeat what I stated at the beginning - this level of cleanliness is apparently fairly normal for this price range in this area. I still think more effort could and should be put into making it a cleaner and more inviting space for customers, and things like the standing water problem in the bathroom should be fixed to prevent mold growth and such, but it’s also possible I just need to suck it up and spend more money on a better hotel room if I feel that my standard of cleanliness is so important.

11360195****The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Gulangyu Island. It's tucked away in a quiet spot but still close to Longtou Road, where all the restaurants are, and attractions like Sunlight Rock and Shuzhuang Garden. We stayed in Building 9, which was very peaceful. It hardly felt like the bustling National Day holiday, but as soon as we stepped out of the hotel, we were met with throngs of people – truly two different worlds! The hotel has a private back exit for guests that leads to a quiet beach with very few people. The kids absolutely loved it, braving the heat and strong sun for over two hours, catching several small crabs. The hotel used to be a government retreat and is now open to the public. While the facilities and decor are a bit dated, you can tell the original fixtures are still of good quality. The room even came with tea ceremony tools, and the kids had a blast playing tea master – the Dahongpao tea was delicious. The hotel service is outstanding. They offer exclusive shuttle transfers from the ferry terminal to the hotel when you arrive and depart. If you're heading straight to the ferry after sightseeing, you can arrange a time with the hotel, and they'll deliver your luggage to the terminal, allowing you to enjoy your day worry-free. The staff are also incredibly helpful; knowing the kids wanted to play on the beach, they even brought sand-digging tools. When we encountered a staff member on the road and asked for directions to the beach, he simply walked us all the way there. We genuinely loved this hotel and highly recommend it.

From check-in to check-out, every staff member makes me feel at home. The facilities in the room are also very comfortable, the mattress is soft and the shower water is strong. Moreover, the location of the hotel is also very convenient, there are many delicious restaurants and attractions nearby. I will stay here next time I come to Xiamen and recommend it to my friends.

AAtychiphobiaHonestly, this Jinjiang Metropolo Hotel was the biggest surprise of my trip to Fuzhou! It's genuinely located in the heart of the 'Three Lanes and Seven Alleys' historic district, and you can enjoy the charm of the historic area right from your room window. The design cleverly incorporates local cultural elements like Fuzhou oil-paper umbrellas and ancient architectural tiles, giving it a unique aesthetic. What's even more impressive is that the hotel is seamlessly connected to the Dongbai Center mall, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. From its location and design to the service, everything was simply perfect. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Fuzhou!
