Pullman Properties in Shanghai

I recently stayed at Pullman Shanghai Central and had a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. The reception team stood out right from check-in — everyone was warm, attentive, and professional, making the whole process smooth and welcoming. To my delight, I was even offered a complimentary room upgrade, which was such a lovely surprise and made my stay extra special. The room itself was fantastic — spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable, with everything kept spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The location is absolutely ideal too: it’s incredibly convenient, with plenty of great restaurants and shopping malls just a short walk away, making it easy to explore and get around the city. Overall it was a fantastic stay that exceeded expectations. Great service, comfortable accommodation, and an unbeatable location — I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai!

Pullman Shanghai Jing'an Hotel is conveniently located near Shanghai Railway Station, just a five-minute walk away. It's also close to Metro Lines 1, 3, and 4, making it easy to access all of Shanghai's main attractions. The hotel boasts exquisite decor with thoughtful attention to detail. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bedding is comfortable, and the facilities are comprehensive. The front desk staff provide excellent, patient, and attentive service.

Given the price, the environment here was truly below expectations. I understand it's an old hotel, so things like electric toilets, trash cans, and curtains aren't automated. However, there should at least be some basic amenities. There was no tissue box in the room, no hand soap, toothbrushes, or cotton swabs in the bathroom – none of the things you'd expect. Not even slippers. When I called the front desk, either no one answered or it took half an hour for them to bring anything over.

Upon check-in, the front desk saw we had elderly and children with us, and even upgraded our room for free! The room had everything we needed, and the most pleasant surprise was a yoga mat. As someone who regularly practices yoga and stands Qigong postures, this was incredibly thoughtful – I loved it! 😍 The hotel also has a swimming pool and a gym. Since it was a last-minute stay during the winter break, I didn't bring my swimming gear, so I couldn't try out the pool. Guess I'll have to save that for next time!
