Manxin Properties in Shanghai

Overall recommended, as we had a very good experience during our 5 day honeymoon in Shanghai. Location of the hotel was very good, less than 5 minutes walk to the train station(s). The hotel and the room itself was very nice and clean. I usually have dust allergy if the hotel room is even slightly dusty but it was comfortable throughout my 5 days here. The hotel staff was also very very nice and accommodating (shoutout to the receptionist 周敏敏, she helped us changed rooms when we noticed that the room had a slightly smoky smell, as well as other requests). Service is a massive plus. The hotel breakfast has a wide variety as well, saving us a few days of thinking what to eat for breakfast.

Overall, it's pretty good. It's clean, hygienic, and quiet, allowing for a full night's sleep. Breakfast is quite varied, and it's not far from Hongqiao Airport and Hongqiao Station. There's also a shuttle service to and from the airport and train station. The front desk service is okay, but the shuttle drivers aren't great. However, Shanghai's service attitude has always been like this – it was the same ten years ago and it still is now, very much a 'master' attitude. This comment about service isn't directed at this specific hotel; it's just my general impression of Shanghai. Finding good service in Shanghai is purely a matter of luck. I still recommend staying at this hotel.

Located conveniently close to Huaihai Road and Sinan Mansions, it's ideal for exploring and dining, with meticulous service that exudes the elegant sophistication of a private club.

This time in Shanghai, I stayed at the Manxin Hotel North Bund on a friend's recommendation. It was my first time hearing about and staying at this particular branch. The hotel is part of the HUAZHU Hotels Group, and overall, the environment was clean and tidy. The room layout was well-designed and comfortable. Both the front desk staff and the housekeeping team were warm, polite, and provided excellent service. The hotel's location is also superb, just a few minutes' walk from Raffles City, making it very convenient for getting around and shopping. Overall, it's highly suitable for business travel.

This is my go-to hotel whenever I'm in Shanghai for business. It's in a quiet area but super convenient, just a 15-minute drive from Hongqiao Airport and train station. Plus, Xia Du Town and New Era Plaza are right downstairs, so you have plenty of dining and shopping options. The rooms are clean, the service is thoughtful, and the view of the small courtyard in the sunlight is fantastic!

My family and I stayed at Man Xin Hotel (Yunjian Granary) for 6 days when we first moved to Songjiang while looking for an apartment. The facilities were nice and modern with even a robot delivery service. The morning breakfast was nice, but could use more daily variety for longer-stay guests. The location was very nice with lots of restaurants nearby. However, be aware that most restaurants close from 2-5pm. We stayed in the children's room which had a tent and some toys. However, I believe that some of the toys need to be cleaned or replaced as they were stained. The best part of Man Xin Hotel was the staff. Even though I could not speak Chinese, each staff member was thoughtful and helpful to meet my family's needs. Xiaoyan and Jingjing were especially professional and considerate in helping me to order food and cleaning services for my new apartment. They were very patient and attentive even with the language barrier.

This was my first stay at Manxin Mansion, and I was thoroughly impressed – it exceeded my expectations! I requested a room on the second floor, and the air conditioning was wonderfully warm and incredibly quiet. It's honestly the best AC I've ever experienced in any hotel. The room layout was well-thought-out, and the facilities were brand new. It felt like stepping into an old Shanghai mansion belonging to a wealthy family. The lobby decor also had a fantastic ambiance. My room even had a small balcony with a view of farmland, which was very relaxing, and the air was fresh. The breakfast was plentiful, and the mini wontons were delicious. The lobby also offered complimentary popcorn and tea. In the evenings, there were even mobile BBQ stalls outside the hotel. The staff's service was exceptionally warm and professional. I accidentally left my phone in the restaurant after breakfast, and when I inquired at the front desk ten minutes later, they already had it – very efficient! Upon departure, I even received a complimentary souvenir, which had a distinct Shanghai flavor. I really felt the thoughtfulness! The hotel is also very close to Pudong Airport, making it super convenient for flights, and the travel time is easily manageable. I'll definitely come back to stay here if I get the chance. HUAZHU Hotels are really getting better and better, excellent!
