Atour Properties in Shanghai

My husband and I chose to stay here for our first trip to Shanghai because we could take the Maglev directly from Pudong Airport to Longyang Road Station in less than 10 minutes. The hotel is near the station—about a 10-minute walk with large suitcases. One of the subway entrances is just 50 meters from the hotel. Our room was very spacious, and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with nothing to complain about, and they even provided a simple Chinese supper every night. We also used the laundry service twice! The only slightly awkward moment was when our toilet got clogged one day. To be honest, we had been struggling since day one with whether or not to flush the toilet paper. While there were signs in the lobby restrooms warning that the pipes clog easily and asking guests to use the trash bin, there were no such signs in our room. Overall, though, my husband and I have wonderful memories of Shanghai!

It's great to support domestic brands. Atour truly impresses with its thoughtful details and genuine service. The young staff at the front desk are clearly dedicated and professional. In the evenings, they even offer a comforting bowl of congee. Invoices are processed quickly, and the 'Zhuju' (library/reading area) boasts a great selection of books. The soundproofing is excellent, and self-service laundry facilities are a big plus. They also provide a wide array of in-room amenities. Booking is incredibly convenient, and check-in is remarkably swift.

The hotel is very clean, has a great environment, and is super close to the subway station. There are many delicious Korean restaurants nearby, and food delivery is also very convenient!

I frequently stay at Atour hotels, and this one met expectations in terms of location and service. However, I won't be choosing to stay here again because the hand towels and bath towels were all individually wrapped in plastic bags. 1/ This practice is tacky and diminishes the brand image. Seriously, which five-star hotel would wrap its towels and bath sheets in plastic bags? The cleanliness of a towel depends on a user's trust in the brand (meaning Atour's towels should inherently be clean), not on a dust-proof sealed bag (if Atour's towels aren't truly clean, what's the point of putting them in a dust-proof bag anyway?). 2/ This approach doesn't genuinely consider the user's needs. Every time I finish showering and am dripping wet, wanting to grab a bath towel immediately, I realize, oh, I still have to tear open the bag, throw it away, before I can use the towel. The same goes for washing hands. 3/ This action contradicts Atour's stated commitment to environmental protection. The eco-friendly explanations/cards in the room not only become mere decorations but also appear incredibly ironic (this card explains that Atour's towels might not look pristine white, not because they're dirty, but because they're not bleached during washing for environmental reasons). If they avoid bleaching towels for environmental protection, why waste plastic bags for every single towel? Think about how many guests stay daily, how many towels/bath sheets are used daily, and how many bags are wasted as a result. 4/ This practice goes against the entire hotel industry's efforts to reduce single-use items and lags behind competitors in terms of marketing. If a few guests are concerned about unwrapped towels, sealed towels could easily be provided at the front desk. This is similar to how hotels don't actively provide single-use toiletries, but guests can pick them up if needed. Currently, Atour provides sealed towels indiscriminately, regardless of whether the guest requests them, leading to a massive waste of single-use bags and denying guests the right to choose. I've taken the time to write this feedback hoping the hotel will take it seriously and make improvements.

I often choose Langyado for business trips, mainly because the rooms are quite spacious. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, the facilities are good, and the transportation is quite convenient. The hotel service is also good, and the breakfast is quite rich.

Atour is always my top choice when traveling, mainly because I love their pillows and the breakfast is great, with plenty of options! It's also conveniently located for getting to Nanjing East Road, The Bund, and Disneyland — not too far, a moderate distance, about a 29-minute taxi ride. Very convenient for getting around!

This is the best business hotel I've ever stayed at in China. Atour's meticulous and thoughtful service permeates every aspect. The food is exquisite and delicious, the rooms are tidy and comfortable, and all the towels are disinfected and sealed. The laundry room is fully equipped; you can even see how many washers and dryers are available on the in-room TV. The laundry area comes with detergent, an iron, and shoe-shining products. If you don't pick up your washed clothes in time, there's a clean clothes basket next to it to hold them. The hotel even offers a late-night snack in the evening. It was truly a perfect experience. From now on, I'll always choose Atour Hotels for my travels.

The environment is elegant and comfortable, clean and odorless, the check-in speed is fast, the living is particularly comfortable and comfortable, all aspects are very satisfactory, all five-star praise!

Location is great, just about 5 mins to the Bund. Also very near to Nanjing Road where all the great shopping is located at. Room is spacious. I booked a family room for 4 pax and the space is good for all of us. Shower is great too. But I must say their counter staff will need to improve in their service to their hotel guests. - minimal greetings with almost no smiles to welcome the hotel guests - provided a staff personal WeChat account but couldn’t get him when he’s off. Other China hotels I stayed will provide a hotel WeChat account where you can reach them 24/7 - worse nightmare was when I arranged our purchase from To Summer which is worth a few hundred dollars, and when we went back to the hotel to pick it up, my package was left together with the other food delivery n there was no verification required from the counter staff but just collect our package. Meaning that anyone could have just collected it!

The facilities are clean and hygienic. Although the hotel is close to the airport and you can hear planes if you open the windows, it's very quiet inside thanks to the excellent soundproofing. The service is also very thoughtful. I've stayed here twice already, and I'll definitely consider this hotel again if I need accommodation when passing through. This hotel is genuinely good.
