This hotel is right in front of the famous Kuching landmark - the 7 cats. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The toilet also comes with bidet and shower was good. Breakfast buffet was also good with a decent selection of Sarawak food as well. Nearby Carpenter street too! Overall even though its a little dated it is still a very good choice to stay.

I had a truly pleasant experience staying at the Grand Margherita Hotel in Kuching. The location is excellent—right by the waterfront—making it very convenient for sightseeing, relaxing walks, and exploring nearby attractions and eateries.
The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help, which made the whole experience even better.
Breakfast had a good selection, with both local and international options, and the dining area was comfortable and spacious. Facilities like the pool and common areas were also well-kept and enjoyable.
Overall, Grand Margherita Hotel offers great comfort, good service, and an ideal location. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kuching, whether for leisure or business.

Superial room need to upgrade, s door lock is unable lock, hot water not enough. But the air con is function too well. Overall their staff is helpful

Strategic location with magnificient river view. We can also see Kampung Boyan view from our room. Located just in front of the famous cat statue. Short walking distance to the 'penambang' boat jetty. Further walking may reach Darul Hana Bridge. The room is very spacious too. Overall, awesome stay!

People are vary courteous. Easy to travel around. Very relaxing. The grab rides were reasonably cheap. Hotel food price are very reasonable.

Pretty decent place, old room but clean. Good enough facilities for the star. Location is strategic in the downtown - easily walkable around. Nearby to the waterfront which was good. Stayed in the the room facing the river, got a nice view.
Breakfast was acceptable.

The room was clean and spacious, with a nice city view. However, the air-conditioning was extremely cold—almost like winter—and the controller didn’t seem to work. We had to switch it off, yet some cold air still came through. Coincidentally, AIFFA was having their dinner event at the hotel during our stay. We also ordered a mocktail, which was quite sweet.
