The spacious room with full Mt Fuji view. Private Onsen need to book but free of charge. Public Onsen no need to book. The dinner and breakfast also amazing. Highly recommend this hotel if u want to see sun rise from your room. Recommend to stay on 3F

The view here is amazing and not crowded

The hotel was located near Shoji lake not Kawaguchiko lake so you have to take the bus from the main station. Overall is okay for our stay. It’s quiet and traditional style. Food is superb.

Very good

I like this accommodation very much. You can see Mount Fuji directly from the hotel room and the hot spring. You can soak in the hot spring once in the morning and evening. The food is also delicious. I will recommend it to others.

Let's talk about the disadvantages first: inconvenient transportation. It is about 18.5 kilometers away from the nearest Kawaguchiko Station. If you miss the last bus, you can only take a taxi, which costs 8,200 yen. However, there is a long queue for taxis at Kawaguchiko Station, and there are few taxis. The queue is 50 minutes... Other than that, the hotel is very good. I would like to praise Ctrip's customer service. Since we felt that we would miss the bus, we contacted the hotel through Ctrip's customer service and asked them to wait for us and reserve dinner for us. The hotel waited for us until 8:30, prepared dinner, and reserved private soup time for us in the evening. The room is large. Although the decoration is old, it is clean and warm overall. The owner is very friendly. You can see Mount Fuji outside the hotel window. Dinner and breakfast are also rich, and dinner is served with fruit. It is a very good experience.

Good view, quiet, there is a lake to walk around, you can see the view of Fuji. Onsen on the 4th floor has a very good view. I like this place very much.

The hotel is strategically located by Lake Shojin. Photos 1-2 are photos taken from the window of room (301); The food is good. Photo 3 is the dinner on the night of check-in; The value-added services are perfect. Each room has a free private bath on the rooftop. Photos 4-5 are the views of the private bath; Photo 6 is the cat at the entrance of the hotel. Photo 7 is the lawn by the lake outside the hotel. Locals like to come here for vacation. Compared with Lake Kawaguchi, there are very few tourists. I highly recommend staying at Yamadaya!

The hotel itself is very old and located on Lake Shojin, far away from the main attractions. However, you can see Mount Fuji right outside the hotel, and there is also a free open-air family bath, which is a bonus.

This is a traditional Japanese-style hotel, only 4 floors high, but directly accessible by elevator. The room is very large, and the hotel price includes a half-hour private bath in the morning and evening. The hotel room faces the most beautiful view of Lake Shojin and Mount Fuji.

The view of Mt. Fuji from Lake Shoji in front of the hotel is the best. The evening breakfast provided by the hotel is also great. You can enjoy the open-air bath while looking at Mt. Fuji for free if you make a separate reservation. The hotel owner can communicate in English, so even foreigners who don't speak Japanese can use it without any inconvenience. It was nice to be able to enjoy a traditional Japanese tatami room. However, since the hotel was built a long time ago, if you want a hotel with a modern feel, I recommend another place.
