This hotel offers excellent value for money. Its central location in Kota Kinabalu is incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food, with many popular local eateries within walking distance. As an economy brand under Wyndham, the hotel is generally clean and tidy. While the rooms are designed with simplicity in mind, they offer ample space and good natural light, and all essential amenities are provided. The staff are quite enthusiastic, and check-in and check-out processes are quick. There's an international restaurant on-site. While the breakfast selection isn't particularly luxurious, it's perfectly adequate for a simple daily meal. If you're visiting Kota Kinabalu for leisure or business and looking for an affordable, well-located, and brand-backed place to stay, this is a very practical and comfortable choice.

The room was great, definitely on par with a 5-star hotel in China. They even had Chinese power strips in the room, so no need for an adapter, which was super convenient. I highly recommend this hotel, it's a really good one.

This hotel has its pros and cons. First, the location is good, and the sea view room I booked was decent. However, the facilities are old, the carpet is quite dirty, and most importantly, there's discrimination. The front desk tends to assign connecting rooms and end-of-hall rooms to Chinese guests. You really need to be able to speak English to argue for a room on the same floor as the Koreans. Secondly, for breakfast, you're seated by a host, and the staff consistently gives the good tables to Europeans, Americans, Koreans, and Malaysians, while Chinese guests are led to dark corners. Even battling in English doesn't help, as they claim those tables are reserved by Europeans, Americans, Koreans, and Malaysians, but in reality, anyone but Chinese guests can sit there. The breakfast variety doesn't meet the standards of an old 5-star hotel, and the most frustrating thing is that Koreans have a knack for clearing out the food – if you go at 8:30 AM, there's nothing left as they don't restock.

This was my third time staying at the Kaseh Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, and I brought my mother along for a trip. As always, the stay was incredibly satisfying! Service: The front desk staff were warm and helpful, offering check-in services in both Chinese and English. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful, with a wide variety of dishes that my mother particularly enjoyed. When cleaning the room, they always replenished necessary disposable items and even helped tidy up clothes on the bed and toiletries in the bathroom, which was very thoughtful. Cleanliness: The hotel was clean and tidy, with daily room cleaning service. Environment: The location is extremely convenient. Taking a Grab to city attractions is always within a ten-minute drive, making it easy to get to Sutera Harbour for island hopping and Gaya Street. There are also many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. It's only about a ten-minute Grab ride from the airport, so there's no need to wake up extra early to catch a flight. Getting around to and from the hotel is very convenient. Facilities: As always, the facilities are complete. You can take hotel towels with you for island hopping and snorkeling, just remember to return them. There are plenty of drying racks, perfect for hanging clothes. There's also an outdoor swimming pool. Hope to see Kota Kinabalu again next time!

It was great and convenient stay. The parking were quite hustled a bit (because the hotel were connected to the mall i guess), except if you added 50/15myr per day for the valet parking. The room were better compared to those other legend hotels in Tawau; the floor carpet bit dirty and furniture quite oldies. The tv were working fine. The toilet were average; not to dirty but not too clean also. Toiletries were okay BUT they don’t provide toothbrush. Hm. Also we got the room that were strategically behind the aircond blower of the mall. The room soundproof quite decent; you can still hear people talking when they were at the hallways. The mall behind got lot of shop; stalls, restaurant, saloon, cinema, massage parlour and at night, you can also enjoy a street food market 4 minutes by walking on the other side of the hotel. So far we enjoyed the stay here. The staffs were varies; some were good; some maybe tired or just lazy, idk but checkin and out process were smooth.

The room was old, very small, and the soundproofing was terrible, making it hard to sleep. On top of that, the window couldn't be opened, leading to a strong, unpleasant musty smell inside. They don't provide bottled water; you have to get it yourself from the hallway. If these things bother you, think twice before booking.

Nice hotel with quiet space, upon arrival there is a big fat white color cat is actually lying on the front door like welcoming people😁( cute but I forget to snap her picture) I book through trip.com for the hotel with IHG groups and I’m also IHG member, although I can’t collect point for this but the front desk staff is generous to key in my membership and gifted me welcome drink voucher which Icahn enjoy the sips of wine/ juices/ 🍺 at the bar beside the hotel. Convenience location to move around Sabah as I’m travel for work and easy to access to local food as well. Whereby just across the road to enjoy the 🍤 🦞 🐠 clamshell etc….

Facilities: Excellent. Cleanliness: Serviced daily. Environment: Great, very convenient. Service: Pretty good. The hotel location is excellent, very close to Tanjung Aru Beach. It's super convenient for watching one of the world's top 3 sunset views. Dining options nearby are plentiful, and it's also close to the shopping district, right in the city center.

I stayed at this hotel for three days right after arriving in the country, and I'm very grateful for its location, cleanliness, and the staff's kindness. The breakfast times and menu were also very satisfactory. I also appreciate the swimming pool facilities and the friendly staff who manage them. Furthermore, in terms of value for money, this hotel is top-notch. I'm also very thankful for the check-out time and service.

The room was really clean, I forgot to take pictures. It was quiet at night and felt very safe. There are many restaurants and convenience stores downstairs. It's very close to Gaya Street and the DBKK jetty, about a 5-minute taxi ride. Every room has a floor-to-ceiling window with direct views of the jetty and the sea, as shown in the pictures – both the daytime views and the sunset are beautiful. Kota Kinabalu is the most convenient and comfortable city I've visited so far; it's very beautiful and chill. The host was also very nice and patient in answering my questions. This is the best and most worthwhile hotel I've ever picked, the value for money is truly unbeatable!

AAnonymous UserIf you are in the area to visit the KKIP industrial zone, the Klagen Regency is perfectly positioned. It is located quite a distance from the main town center, which may seem remote at first, but it is a strategic advantage if you want to avoid a long daily commute to your work sites. The hotel itself is impressively well-kept. It’s clear that management prioritizes maintenance, as the rooms and common areas feel fresh and clean. The service is equally commendable; the staff are helpful and ensure a smooth, professional experience from check-in to check-out. Sorry I does not have the photo of the room because I am there for a business meeting but the room is okay to stay. Buffet Breakfast is good, also you can find very nice local food with walking distance .

LLvyouchaojiliangjiahuiFacilities: Very well-equipped. I'd describe it as an 'old-school' style. Both the balcony and bathroom have hanging areas, which is super important for drying swimsuits after a beach trip! A slight drawback is that the shower doesn't have a rainfall showerhead, but the hot water and air conditioning were both excellent. Hygiene: The entire room and hotel were very clean. Environment: Absolutely beautiful! Although the sea nearby isn't a 'jellyfish' clear sea, I still found it quite clean. I witnessed the most stunning sunset – I was incredibly satisfied, and it wasn't crowded at all. It's also very convenient; a taxi ride to Gaya Street takes about 15 minutes. Service: Nice! The only thing was that check-in at the front desk took a bit long, but other requests were handled very quickly over the phone. The hotel has plenty of entertainment facilities, including water activities, clownfish viewing, a gym, and paddleboarding. It's perfect for a family vacation. The breakfast was delicious too! And of course, Malaysian food never disappoints!

LLove CoffeeMy first stay here and I think would be my last too. Was actually requested a quiet room but still giving the room which facing the contrustion site. Noise of the construction site was up to 10pm+ and 5am+ the prayer from the nearby mosque will make you jump! Impressive with the location but not the room. Furnitures in room quite old but still acceptable, but cleanliness and maintenance was terrible. 1) Water leaks out from shower room to walkway via the wall. 2) Old and dirty toilet with mold 3) Malfunctioning light bulb 4) Stains on the towel ( sticky like chocolate, like unwashed) 5) Ants on table & bed! 6) Loosen door lock 7) Dirty chair

GGuest UserWe chose the Ocean Wing room type, and the room was very spacious. The bathtub had a great ambiance. The overall service at the hotel was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. The environment inside was beautiful, with complete facilities and many activities, including sunset paddleboarding. Plus, it wasn't overly crowded, so you didn't get that 'people-packed' feeling. It's perfect for a relaxing holiday and very unwinding.

AAye_AkiraStayed here with family and overall had a pleasant experience, especially considering the competitive pricing. The room itself was excellent — very clean, spacious, and well prepared. The hotel followed our requests properly regarding the extra bed and breakfast arrangements, which made the stay much smoother for the family. Basic amenities were provided including shampoo, conditioner, slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste. We could not find a shower cap initially, but it seems it can be requested from the front desk. Breakfast was decent, though nothing particularly extraordinary. The resort offers quite a lot of fun activities and there were many families and local tourists during our stay, probably because of the holiday season. The view around the property was also very nice. In terms of design, the hotel feels somewhat similar to the neighbouring Shangri-La Rasa Ria, although naturally at a much lower price point, which makes it quite attractive value-wise. A few things to note: the road leading to the hotel was quite dark and a little confusing at night. There is also not much happening in the immediate vicinity after dark, so having your own transport is highly recommended. Since the hotel is rather far out, getting a Grab ride might be difficult at times. Thankfully, parking was ample for those driving. One small downside was that while the room cleanliness was top notch, the outdoor corridors had quite a lot of leaves, bugs, and dust. Being a resort surrounded by nature, this is somewhat understandable, but still noticeable. Overall, a good value family resort stay with spacious clean rooms, nice scenery, and plenty of activities, especially if you are travelling with your own vehicle 👍🏻
