There is no sufficient space for guests drop off and pick up and for if there are two to three cars the area before hotel will be messed up and stuck together! The enclosed captured screen from goggle map is self explanatory ! Every morning commencing 8:00 am to 09:00am there will be large trolleys outside the rooms and on upper floors transferring towels and other amenities around and the sound like you are sitting by the railway while the trains are crossing which was rather annoying. You will hear staff talking or chatting together and the metallic service door slamming during that period. Most interesting is every day the housekeeping has left souvenirs to us. The first day was a toilet brush and the second day was a cigarette lighter. Last but not the least when we approached the concierge to get the luggages while the car was waiting just outside the hotel main door the bell boy asked my wife to move the luggages by herself and the distance was only 3 meters away!

Had a pleasant stay at Urban Suites by Urban Pleasure in Penang. The unit was clean, spacious, and comfortable for our group of 7, although I would say 6 people would be the ideal number for a more relaxing stay. The location was convenient and the facilities were quite complete, especially the swimming pool and gym. One thing we really appreciated was the washing machine and dryer, which made the trip much easier for longer stays. The view from the unit was also beautiful, especially at night when the city lights started glowing like a mini galaxy. Overall, a good and worthwhile stay for families or groups visiting Penang.

Definitely like the bath tub! And also the sauna and jacuzzi, it was separate by gender and even have a locker room to store your belongings. Was convenient go to the gurney bay, can just cross the traffic line to walk and enjoy the chill breeze. Around there a lot of choice for food and places to be chill around. Will choose this hotel for the next visit

The hotel facilities were decent, and the room was spacious and clean, making for a very comfortable stay overall. Most importantly, the hotel's location is fantastic! Many attractions in George Town are within walking distance, which is incredibly convenient. There are also plenty of restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel. There's a durian stall called 'Seng Huat' very close by, which I highly recommend! They have a great variety of durians, the owner offers excellent service, and there's no need to queue. The hotel breakfast was quite ample. The gym on the fourth floor is large and well-equipped, and the pool is also sizable. The only downside was the somewhat cold attitude of the Malay staff. When I went back to the concierge to retrieve something from my stored luggage, they were very impatient. Similarly, during breakfast registration, the Malay staff member was brusque and stern-faced. It makes me wonder, are Malay people truly unfriendly towards Chinese people? In contrast, the Indian and Chinese staff at the front desk for check-in, as well as the Indian housekeeping staff, were very warm and proactive.

Recently we stayed at M Social Resort Penang and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The cleanliness of the hotel was very good. The room was generally well-maintained and comfortable. However, there is still some room for improvement, as I noticed a few tiny bugs or insects on the wall, as well as some spots around the sliding door area and on the balcony floor. The location is excellent, especially for those who enjoy beach activities. The hotel offers private beach access, which is very convenient and adds great value to the stay. The service was outstanding throughout my visit. The bellboy team was very helpful and professional, the reception staff were friendly and efficient, and room service was prompt and reliable. The service standards across all departments deserve recognition. The amenities provided were comprehensive and met all expectations. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was available. The swimming pool was well-maintained and clean. I especially appreciated the dedicated children’s section, making it suitable for families. The lobby is one of the highlights of the hotel. It is very clean, beautifully designed, and offers a fantastic view. The welcome drink provided before check-in was also a nice touch and created a great first impression. Parking facilities were generally good. While basement parking is available, the number of spaces is somewhat limited. Open-air parking is also available and works well. However, access from the basement parking area to the lobby needs improvement. There appears to be no direct lift access, requiring guests to climb two to three levels of stairs, which can be inconvenient, especially when carrying luggage. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with a fluffy mattress and excellent pillows that provided a great night’s sleep. One feature that truly impressed me was the AI Box system that replaces the traditional hotel room phone. Guests can use it to control the TV, request amenities, contact room service, housekeeping, and reception. This modern and innovative feature greatly enhanced the overall guest experience. Overall, M Social Resort Penang offers excellent service, a great location with private beach access, comfortable rooms, modern technology, and a welcoming atmosphere. With minor improvements to room detailing and basement parking access, the experience would be even better.

The hotel is quite new, and the parking is very unique - it uses an automated parking system, which was an interesting and pleasant experience. The lobby is located on the second floor, and the staff were friendly. The room was a bit smaller than expected. Once you open the door, the bed is right there. There’s no sofa, only a small round stool without a backrest, and no proper desk - just a small movable table. There are two bedside tables, but no proper space to place luggage, so we had to sacrifice the small table for that. The water heater needs to be turned on manually. When it’s switched on, there are water droplets in the bathroom. We checked with the front desk and were told this is normal and that it stops once the water heats up (well… alright). Because the room is quite compact, the air-conditioning blows directly onto the bed no matter how you adjust it. The hotel does provide an air-conditioner deflector upon request, which we asked for. Interestingly, the staff will deliver it to you, but installation is self-service (ha-ha). Aside from these points, everything else was satisfactory. The location is excellent, with easy access to many places. (recommended to stay)

My son and nephew stayed in the Premier Twin Room, and their feedback honestly left me flabbergasted. For boys whose vocabulary on things like hotels and hospitality is usually quite limited, they simply could not stop yapping about how much they loved the room! According to them, the room was huge, comfortable, and incredibly cosy. Their absolute favourite part? The complimentary mini bar items — that definitely earned extra points! They also could not stop talking about how amazing the shower was. A special mention must also go to the housekeeping team. Hats off to the housekeeping lad who somehow managed to clean and organise the room so well despite the unbelievable amount of clutter the boys created within such a short time frame. Truly impressive and very much appreciated. The boys also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast spread and kept mentioning the warmth and hospitality showered upon them throughout their stay. Thank you once again to the entire team at Sunway Hotel Penang for making their stay such a memorable one. It is experiences like these that keep us coming back.

My stay at Neo+ Hotel was very pleasant. The hotel's location is super convenient, with many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and getting around is a breeze. There's even a bar right across the street, which is great if you want a drink or to hang out with friends in the evening, yet the room remained quite quiet and wasn't significantly disturbed by noise. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Both check-in and check-out were smooth. Overall, it offers great value for money and is a highly recommended accommodation option.

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of George Town, making it super convenient for dining, shopping, and exploring. The room itself is pretty well-maintained. My only gripes are the unstable Wi-Fi and the weak water pressure in the shower.

RRayTFirst of all the hotel rented out the rooms for individual operator. So there will be different check in counter. Upon check in, been told that the room card not functioning as they are doing upgrading, so every time u come back will need to call the house keeping to unlock the door. Most importantly they charge RM 17 per night for car parking. So a lot of car parking outside which make the entrance a bit difficult

Ssea.sun.mountainMy family and I recently enjoyed a stay at Angsana Teluk Bahang and found it to be the perfect choice for a relaxing staycation. Located on the quieter side of Penang, the resort is about 40–50 minutes from George Town, which may feel a little far from the city centre, but that's exactly what makes it special. If you're looking to escape the traffic, crowds, and bustle of town, Angsana offers a peaceful beachfront retreat with plenty of space to unwind. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with beautiful sea views, and the beach is not crowded at all. The infinity pool overlooking the sea was a favourite spot for our family, especially in the evenings when the sunset painted the sky over the Straits of Malacca. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, helping to make the stay smooth and enjoyable from check-in to departure. Although the resort feels secluded, it's still only a short drive from Batu Ferringhi if you want to explore local food, night markets, or nearby attractions. For us, however, the best part was simply slowing down and enjoying the calm surroundings. Overall, Angsana Teluk Bahang is an excellent option for families seeking a relaxing beachfront staycation. While it is some distance from the city, the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful sea views, and resort facilities make it well worth the trip, will definitely come again!

FfhatihahOverall, I'm satisfied, but of course, there were a few things that weren't perfect, haha. Check-in was good and fast, even though there were a lot of people. There was complimentary juice while waiting to check-in. The swimming pool is great and big, with slides for kids too. The kids' room is amazing, with a ball pit, PS5 games, slides, and more! The kids' room is definitely the best 👍🏻 Breakfast was a bit disappointing because the table I got was hot. Didn't feel the air conditioning at all. The room was great, sea view, and clean. Parking was a bit difficult. It's first-come, first-served, or you'll have to valet park if you want secure parking. The staff were very friendly. Excellent.

PPetrelHad a fantastic stay! The room was spacious and very comfortable. The free parking was a huge bonus. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Unlike other hotels that offer a welcome drink, Sho Hotel provides a complimentary coffee/tea/orange juice every single day. If you stay for several days, you get several drinks – it's such a thoughtful touch! I'd redeem mine every morning before heading out, and the staff would put it in a to-go cup for me to take with me. Absolutely delightful! ❤️ Sho Hotel will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Penang!

NNuannuandexiatiantianThe lobby is on the 20th floor and has great views. The staff were all very diligent and responsible. On our last day, we had an early flight, so we were able to request breakfast boxes from the hotel. Inside, the room felt like a domestic budget hotel – clean, comfortable, and the bed was nice. This time, we stayed in a connecting room on the 7th floor, which was convenient as it provided two bathrooms. Breakfast is served on the 21st floor. While the variety isn't huge, there's enough to eat, and they have an omelet station. Plus, the views are excellent. The 22nd floor rooftop has a beautiful pool, open from 7 AM to 9 PM. It was really refreshing to go for a swim every day. Towels are provided by the pool.

KKepulifunichahanyuThis was my first solo trip abroad, and I chose Penang, a city known for its overseas Chinese community and abundant durians. About 70% of the population here is Chinese, mostly originating from Chaoshan and Fujian, which gives it a strong Southern Min and Chaoshan vibe, much like Thailand in the movie 'The Letter to A-ma'. The Eastern & Oriental Hotel (E&O) in Penang, along with Singapore's Raffles and Angkor's Raffles, is considered one of the world's three grand heritage hotels. Established in 1885, it has hosted many celebrities, so it was a must-experience for me. The hotel is divided into two parts: the Heritage Wing, which is the original older building, and the Victory Annexe, a high-rise built just over a decade ago. To experience the authentic charm, choose the Heritage Wing. If you prefer better sea views and relatively newer facilities, the Victory Annexe might be a better option. However, the hotel's most iconic pool is exclusively accessible to guests staying in the Heritage Wing. When I was researching the hotel, I read some rumors about the Heritage Wing being a bit spooky. Perhaps it's due to its age; such tales are not uncommon in old hotels. But objectively, the Heritage Wing maintains its overall character beautifully. From the preserved first elevator in Malaysia located in the lobby to the various artworks displayed in the corridors, and even the doormen in old colonial-era uniforms, everything conveys the ambiance of the South Seas from a century ago. Three positives: First, the E&O is probably the closest hotel to the sea in Penang. Taking a walk by the ocean in the evening or early morning sounds wonderful, even if Penang's sea isn't particularly spectacular. Second, guests in the Heritage Wing receive a complimentary bottle of red wine, and all snacks and treats in the room are free. Additionally, the Char Kway Teow at Palm Court for breakfast in the Heritage Wing is incredibly flavorful – I think it's even better than many so-called Michelin-starred dishes. Third, sitting by the window in the morning, watching the sunrise and the coast, was quite therapeutic. As for negatives, overall, the hotel's service felt a bit indifferent. Compared to other places in Southeast Asia, there was a certain aloofness. This might, of course, be a remnant of its early British hotel traditions.
