Hotels With Gym in Penang, Malaysia

Room is cozy. All amenities function well. Got hot shower. Superrr near to every viral spots in Penang, max is 11 minutes. Got 7eleven across the street and a small mart at the lobby. Hostess is super nice and room is clean and comfortable for my 3 nights stay. Downside: lift is SUPER small. Peak hour you have to wait at least 20mins for the lift cause its soo full. Infinity Pool is small.

Check in lobby was hard to locate as it was at the side of the hotel block. Upon check in, I was given third floor. When I asked if I could have higher floor as indicated in my booking request, staff said I need to top up. This was clearly upselling. I was not willing as the price for each room was not cheap in the first place. Staff knew that i was aware it was the bottom tier room & mentioned the freebis in the room was npt charged. I was not impressed as I do not come all the way to Penang for some freebies. Hptel staff obviously did not know what hospitality is all about.Entering the room, it was not too bad. When I opened the window, I almost flipped out. It was rubbish (attached a pic). I then confirmed I was given the bottom tier room. Opening the wardrobe, there was a musty oily smell which obviously was not aired for a while. Stay at room was not comfortable. Badly lit and no way to open window to rubbish view. I guess the only good thing was the shuttle to the various shopping/ eating spots. Upon check out, i was asked if stay was good. I indicated to the staff my stay at the hotel was disappointing due to the above reasons. Staff said i could email the hotel in advance in my next visit indicating the reason above. But I will like to tell the management this -- no way am i coming back to this hotel that only know to upsell & missing out on what true hospitality means. There are hotels out there that offer much better services without breaking the bank. Thanks but no thanks.

Environment: The facilities are very new, and the bedding is good too. Service: The front desk service is excellent, with staff on duty at night, which is convenient for check-in and check-out. Location: Convenient, with many dining options nearby. Transportation: It's located in George Town, a bit far from the Old Town on foot (but fine if you like walking). You can take the bus, but you have to wait 😓. Ride-sharing apps like Grab are convenient. Security: There's security, and the elevator requires a key card, so it's quite safe. Hygiene: For an apartment hotel, it's exceptionally good. Free daily cleaning is offered, but you need to inform the front desk. Swimming Pool: Very good, many families with children were playing there.

Nice location , just beside tanjung bungah beach , u can walk around the beach , Room was spacious and clean with large living room area , suitable for family gathering , and view is superb , wide view of ocean with sound of wave hitting beach

This is a new and clean hotel conveniently located between Batu Ferringhi and George Town. I arrived early at around 11:30 a.m., but they kindly allowed us to check in, which was much appreciated. By Grab, it takes about 15 minutes to Batu Ferringhi Beach and around 20 minutes to George Town, although traffic can be quite heavy during the day, so travel times may be longer. The AI system didn’t always respond very smoothly, but I was still able to use it to request items to be sent to my room. I stayed over New Year’s Eve, and the hotel hosted a countdown party by the poolside. There were no fireworks, but the atmosphere was enjoyable. The pool and the beachfront area are both very nice, and breakfast offers a good variety of food. Overall, it’s a good hotel to stay at. It would be even better if they offered a shuttle bus service to and from George Town and Batu Ferringhi Beach.

It was superb during our stay at Gurney Bay Hotel! Thanks to the team for preparing an anniversary cake and decoration for us. A thing to highlight that they have also prepared the baby cot as per requested before our arrival❤️ They also prepare a cute Christmas gift for us. Location: the hotel is near to those attraction with great food and 3D art museum. Also, there is a nice park just opposite the hotel. It is really a relaxing trip staying at this hotel and will definitely come back again!

I only stayed one night. The hotel has a nice view and is on a high floor. Breakfast was quite good. The bathroom only had a shower, no handheld showerhead. Even with all the lights on, the room was still very dim, which felt a bit off. Overall, the hygiene was good. The hotel's location is excellent, and the service attitude was good.

We stayed in G Hotel Kelawai for 5 nights. The hotel is between two shopping malls - Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon. Excellent location. Another hotel nearby (about 400m) is G Hotel Gurney. Both the hotels' guests are given the option to use each other's facilities and guests are given the flexibility to have their breakfast at either hotel without any advanced notice. By the way, G Hotel Gurney is the older hotel and is directly connected to Gurney Plaza, whereas G Hotel Kelawai is less crowded and quieter, which we liked. The breakfast variety is acceptable for guests who are on a short stay. Out of curiosity, we wanted to try out the breakfast at G Hotel Gurney but were prevented from doing so because of the heavy rain. Upon request, hotel guests can commute between the two by the hotels' buggy. The 25-m swimming pool and gym in Kelawai were hardly used. Clean and well-maintained rooms.

The Amari hotel offered a really nice and enjoyable experience. The room was new, clean, and spacious, the gym was modern and well-equipped, and the pool was stylish and stunning. The breakfast is excellent. Canteen is beautiful and bright. I’d happily stay here again!

From the thoughtful guidance during check-in to her meticulous assistance when I checked out on December 13th, everything made me feel incredibly comfortable. Before I left, she proactively helped me call a taxi and confirmed the vehicle details; these thoughtful gestures alleviated the fatigue of travel. ”Malaysian Hospitality” is not just a slogan in Malaysia; it's a genuine sentiment that Devika embodied through her actions. This warm service added an invaluable memory to my trip to Penang. She speaks Chinese and provided exceptionally good and attentive service.
