Ssj91this hotel is good overall, but when we arrived, they told us that we didn't have a booking with them and they couldn't locate our booking and details. the room was also said to be taken, and they are waiting for a cancellation in order to get our room. There is a lot of confusion among staff. some visitors were told to leave their rooms once they have entered. we waiting 1 hr 30 min to get our room. so check in was at 4.30pm. parking was also very inconvenient, as we had to park at the basement, which was impossible to even get one if you came into the hotel late and a T&G card was also needed to get validated before leaving the hotel if we wanted a free spot. Room was very spacious and clean. the tea and coffee was hard like its never been changed.

-a little bit far from the center, had to drive around 5-10 mins to reach nearest 7e. forget about the other attractions, it needs more than 30 mins from the hotel.
Staff.
-i dont know but i feel like not helpful enough. they could’ve done better for the so called “5 stars” hotel wannabe.
Cleanliness.
-well it was clean BUT! right when we entered the room we saw the notice of the charlie ants. we were so scared to touch the floor with bare foot as i lost count on how much we had seen and managed to kill the insects on our own!
Buffet.
-was ok, not the best. many verities to choose from. well at least they tried.
Facilities.
-they won this time. my only complaint was the insects on the floor and walls of the toilet.

ZZuileThe hotel staff were incredibly dedicated and responsive to all our requests. The room was clean and tidy. The beach behind the hotel is a bit small, but it's shared with the neighboring hotels, so you can walk along it, and the scenery is still beautiful. However, the hotel's internal landscaping is fantastic. It's definitely worth another visit.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is great. During my three-day stay, I could easily walk to Mural Street every day, and enjoy durian and highly-rated restaurants at my leisure. There's also a shopping mall nearby with a supermarket, Watsons, and an ATM for currency exchange. The weekend art market is also within easy walking distance.
The hotel breakfast was good. Each day, there was a local specialty dish prepared outside the lobby that you could go and pick up yourself, along with freshly squeezed juice. There's also a piano in the lobby on the first floor, with performances in the evenings.

AAnonymous UserHighly recommended! I almost didn't book this hotel as I read the negative reviews. That would have been a regrettable mistake. Thankfully I realised that all the recent reviews have been glowing. I loved my stay at Sunway Hotel and everything was perfect. The bathroom was spotless and seemed very new. I really liked the pomelo-scented bath gel; and they even provided Colgate toothpaste! There were ample hangers and hanging space for everything. I was very happy with the large luggage bench - even a 30' bag would fit comfortably. There was a full-length mirror in the spacious room, and an iron and ironing board were also provided. I was also very glad for the excellent free parking facilities onsite. I'll definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Penang!

MMartin DonquixoteMy stay at Angsana Teluk Bahang was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with a modern yet relaxing design. The facilities are well-maintained and adequate, including a spacious swimming pool and a gym.
One of the highlights of the property is that every room enjoys a beautiful sea view, which adds to the overall sense of tranquillity. The beach attached to the hotel is clean and well-kept, and unlike Batu Ferringhi, it feels much more secluded and private as it is not shared with the crowds from neighbouring properties.
Breakfast was decent with a reasonable variety of choices, although I feel there is room for improvement to better match the hotel's price range and overall standard.
Having spent many years staying at Rasa Sayang whenever I visit Penang, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my stay at Angsana Teluk Bahang. It offers a different experience with a more modern setting, and I would certainly choose this hotel again on my next visit.

GGuest UserThe hotel environment is great, and the pool is beautiful with very clean water. However, there were some gnats flying around which was quite annoying! The breakfast had a wide selection and was delicious! The bed was very comfortable, but there was an unpleasant smell of engine oil in the bathroom.

Unlike other hotels that offer a welcome drink, Sho Hotel provides a complimentary coffee/tea/orange juice every single day. If you stay for several days, you get several drinks – it's such a thoughtful touch! I'd redeem mine every morning before heading out, and the staff would put it in a to-go cup for me to take with me. Absolutely delightful! ❤️
Sho Hotel will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Penang!

WWalter Zhou-zhouyipingOn a business trip to Penang, I'd stayed here before and chose this hotel again. The location is excellent, about a 30-minute drive from Penang International Airport. There are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping malls nearby, and it's not far from the Street Art area. The front desk is on the 20th floor; the staff are friendly, and there's a comfortable business and lounge area. The room amenities are comprehensive and clean. This time, I noticed they added a water dispenser, which is eco-friendly and convenient for guests from different countries, offering warm, hot, and iced water. Breakfast on the 21st floor isn't extensive but decent. There's also a good cafe right opposite the hotel with nice breakfast options. Overall, a great experience. I'll choose this hotel again next time.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is great, and all the staff provided excellent service. The front desk staff especially left a deep impression on me. On the first night, my room was right next to the elevator, which was quite noisy. I requested a room change on the second day and was given a very satisfactory room. The breakfast was also delicious.
