Shan Lu Hotel

Compared to the bustling Thaiwoo Ski Resort, I much preferred the tranquility of Genting Secret Garden Hotel. The design aesthetic was dark and minimalist, with a subtle Jurlique fragrance lingering in the air. Opening the curtains, I could gaze out at the distant Yushiliang Peak. I was so glad I arrived a few days before the Spartan race, allowing me to quietly soak in the beauty of the place. It was only a 500-meter walk to the main race venue, and after finishing, it was a quick 5-minute stroll back to the hotel for a hot shower! I'd definitely come back here for skiing in winter. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in summer, which my husband complained about for all four nights. I'd suggest the hotel install AC units in the rooms for the summer months! Minor incident: After checking out, we had already driven to Zhangbei Grassland when my husband realized he'd left his headphones at the hotel. We called the hotel, hoping for the best. The lovely lady from the reservations department contacted housekeeping to search for the lost headphones and immediately arranged for them to be sent via SF Express. Five-star service, truly!!!

The service was exceptionally good, with every staff member, from the front desk to KTV, being excellent. Since it's September, there weren't as many guests, so breakfast wasn't a buffet; instead, it was à la carte. We were given a menu at check-in and could pre-order. We jokingly asked if we could order the entire menu, and the front desk manager seriously replied, 'Yes, you can.' The next morning, the restaurant staff also said we could order everything on the menu. We marked off almost the whole thing, not quite a book, but close! As you can see from the photo, the three of us ordered a whole table full.

My stay at the Hillside Hotel in Chongli this time exceeded my expectations! 1. Room: The room was very comfortable overall, and the toiletries were of good quality. There was no air conditioning but a fan was provided, which was perfectly fine since it's not hot in the mountains at night anyway. 2. Breakfast: The variety was quite rich, and I was very satisfied! 3. Bonus point: There's actually a self-service tea station next to the front desk! You can get a cup of your favorite hot tea anytime. 4. The service definitely deserves praise: All the staff members were very friendly. What touched me the most was the golf cart service – they drove us directly to Genting in heavy rain! The service was truly impeccable. 5. Minor regrets: McDonald's closed too early 😭 Same for the gym, I wish the operating hours could be extended a bit. The Chinese restaurant also didn't seem to be open much; I hope it will be next time! Summary: Great experience, I would recommend it to friends!

Not bad, I'm quite satisfied with this hotel. I think the breakfast has improved a bit. The corner room they gave me was relatively quiet, and the outside view was beautiful with the flowers blooming perfectly. Keep up the good work!

Facilities: The facilities are generally great, but there's no air conditioning, and the Wi-Fi signal wasn't particularly good for me. As for everything else, it was fantastic! They even had a body fat scale, a mini-fridge, and the drinks and mineral water in it were complimentary. Environment: Is there anything to complain about the environment? This hotel is like a comprehensive resort type of place. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was superb. Service: The service was also excellent.

The environment is beautiful, nestled in a valley with lush greenery and blooming wildflowers. The air is fresh and cool, especially pleasant for a walk in the early morning and evening. The hotel's exterior architecture is very distinctive, and the small landscaping around it is charming, creating a resort-like atmosphere. The room is a bit small, in the Atour style, with an all-black decor that feels a bit oppressive. There's no air conditioning, and the window can't be fully opened, making the room noticeably stuffier and hotter than outside. There were also bits of paper and dust on the floor and around the desk lamp. Starting around 10 PM, large trucks outside the McDonald's downstairs were constantly loading and unloading goods, generating a lot of noise. We had to close the window, which made the room even more stuffy and hot, leading to a terrible night's sleep. Breakfast was standard for a star-rated hotel, with the pastries being particularly good.

The room was spacious with a Japanese-style decor and a tatami bay window. The breakfast spread was excellent, and the hotel is very close to Genting Resort Secret Garden. The environment is quiet and lovely, perfect for couples or families with children.

The room is very spacious, located right at the foot of the mountain, very close to Yunding Ski Resort, which is super convenient. It's about a twenty-minute drive to Thaiwoo Ski Resort. The environment is nice, and they clean the room every day. The breakfast selection is also decent.

Had an early train on Friday morning, and the hotel provided a shuttle service. A staff member was waiting outside the station with a 'VIP' sign. We arrived at the hotel a little after 9 AM, planning to just drop off our luggage and head out. To our surprise, the front desk informed us they had a room ready and let us check in immediately! It was completely unexpected and fantastic, starting our trip off smoothly. From the pick-up service to the front desk, the lobby, the restaurant, and even the uncle making jianbing (savory crepes), all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. That's a huge plus – we'll definitely be back!
