I cried all day from what I saw. It was so beautiful that I can't even put it into words. Now I don't know what to do in my own country or where to find such a level of experience 😭 Thank you for the amazing emotions 💔

My son and I were absolutely blown away by Universal Studios!!! It's so beautiful and so clean! We stayed for a day and a half and couldn't ride all the rides because of the huge lines (that's something else entirely😅😅😅). The Kung Fu Panda pavilion is absolutely fantastic 👍. The minion ice cream is also really cool 🤗, but the food is way overpriced, as are all the little things like the owl and stick in Harry Potter (you can buy everything in advance on AliExpress for 10 times less!). But overall, it's really cool 😎 I definitely recommend visiting!!!

If you're in Beijing, I recommend visiting Universal Park. It's fun for both kids and adults. Yes, there are lines at the rides, but they move quickly. I personally didn't like the so-called beer at the Harry Potter ride, and it's a bit pricey (probably for an acquired taste). A beer costs 50 yuan. I highly recommend visiting the rides: dinosaurs, kung fu panda, and, of course, Harry Potter. I especially recommend the "Pirates" show.

I don't even know how to put it into words... the scale is amazing and astounding. We didn't have 12 hours to walk around the entire park... 12 HOURS. Those 13k for two paid for themselves by mid-day.

How to Get to Universal Studios Beijing?

Universal Beijing Resort

When people go to Universal Resort, they usually fly into Beijing Capital International Airport or Daxing International Airport. The best way to get to Universal Resort is by metro. This is because it is fast and does not cost a lot of money. You can avoid spending a lot on taxi fares.

Step 1: Getting to City Metro Lines from the Airport

  • If you are at Capital Airport, you should take the Airport Express Line to Dongzhimen. Then switch to Line 7 to get to Universal Resort Station.
  • If you are at Daxing Airport, you should take the Daxing Airport Line to Caoqiao. Then switch to Line 1 Batong Line to get to Universal Resort.

Step 2: Getting to the Park from the Metro

Universal Resort Station is the stop on Lines 7 and Batong Line. You should get out of the metro at Exit B or C. From there you can walk to the City Avenue security checkpoint. This walk is not very long it takes 5 to 7 minutes. The walkway is covered so you do not have to worry about the weather. It is better to walk than to use a ride-hailing service during hours.

Other Ways to Get to Universal Resort

You can use a ride-hailing service like Didi. This will cost you around S$35 to S$50 to get from the airport to the resort. However, it can be slow during the morning and evening when there is a lot of traffic. There is also a shuttle bus that you can use for free if you are staying at one of the hotels.

Tips to Maximise Your Day at Universal Studios Beijing

Universal Beijing Resort ride

Pre-Trip Preparation

  1. Download the Universal Beijing Resort mobile app. The app is available in English. It shows real-time ride wait times, timetables and maps.
  2. Bring your passport. The passport is required for ticket validation and entry. Digital copies are not accepted.
  3. Pack a power bank. You will walk upwards of 20,000 steps. Constant photography drains phone batteries rapidly.
  4. Bring empty reusable water bottle. Filtered water refill stations are placed across all zones. Cut down on buying park drinks.
  5. Light packaged snacks are permitted inside the park.

Queue-Saving Hacks

  1. You should get to the security checkpoint by 8:30 AM. This is about 1 to 1.5 hours before the park opens for Harry Potter and Transformers rides.
  2. The lines for the rides are a lot shorter after 6 PM every day. This is because the tour groups leave then. So it is an idea to save the slower rides until late in the afternoon.
  3. If you can you should not visit the park on weekends or during public holidays. You should also avoid July and August when it is really hot and crowded. The best time to go is from March to May or from September to November. The weather is nice.

Park Restrictions to Avoid Disappointment

Forbidden items you cannot bring past security:

  • Selfie sticks, camera tripods, foldable portable stools.
  • High-pressure aerosol sunscreen sprays, glass containers, hot pot self-heating food.
  • Outside alcoholic beverages, large hard-shell suitcases.

Evening Highlight: Hogwarts Castle Light Show

Weather conditions can cause the show to be cancelled or cut short. Make sure to check in advance to confirm the times before you choose to watch the performance in the evening.
