This is a wonderful Suzhou-style garden hotel, directly connected to the Pan Gate ancient scenic area. You could easily spend half a day exploring both the hotel grounds and the scenic area, as the views are stunning both day and night. The interior is spacious and grand, with a stylish Chinese design and decor. Chinese culture, including ancient paintings and other artworks, is beautifully integrated throughout the common areas, hallways, restaurants, and guest rooms. The views from the windows are picturesque. The hotel boasts comprehensive facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, spa, and children's play area, as well as both Chinese and Western restaurants. The property itself is vast, featuring a classic Suzhou garden with pavilions, terraces, and quaint bridges scattered throughout. Everything is meticulously maintained, clean, and bright. From the front desk to the cafe and room staff, everyone is polite, warm, and highly professional, making you feel right at home! The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection. This is my second stay here, and I highly recommend it! Thank you to the hotel for your excellent service. I wish you continued success and many more guests!

Couples photoshoot (including 5 retouched digital photos): The photographer from Xiaowan Travel Photography is a master at capturing moments! The photos are full of emotion, with accurate color reproduction – every single one is profile-picture worthy, highly recommend! Regarding the room facilities, I stayed in Building No. 1, Shoufang Garden, a villa that has hosted presidents and leaders. I thought that even though it opened in 2016, the facilities would still be decent. However, I was disappointed. The shower drain in my room barely worked, leaving a pool of water on the floor after showering, which felt uncomfortable. Also, the toilet seat was quite uncomfortable; my bottom started to ache a bit. 🥲 I hope they make improvements. After all, the deluxe king room I booked in Building No. 1 cost over 800 yuan, a price where luxury chain hotels would offer far superior facilities. However, the service and environment were absolutely top-notch, which is definitely worth praising. It is the famous Ying賓館, after all, haha! Every step in the garden reveals a beautiful scene, and the complimentary shuttle service makes getting around very convenient. We also visited the complimentary Hongqiao Fang Hot Springs ♨️ with my parents, my mother-in-law, my daughter, and my husband. Only my husband could really handle it, haha, it was just too hot inside! Even Shanghai's Tangliande isn't this intense. 😱 You feel like you're going to faint from the heat! Then, as soon as you enter, you have to change shoes. 😂 While it's the correct procedure, it gets a bit smelly when there are many people, haha 😂😂😂😂😂. Plus, aside from the bathing area, it's not very big and doesn't offer as much to do as Shanghai's Tangliande.

This is my first time reviewing a hotel. The service was excellent, it was very clean, and very quiet. It's very cost-effective and highly recommended. I took some pictures myself and found the hotel's decor very cozy and homely. The details are very nice, and I really like it.

Letter of Commendation Last month, from December 16-17, I mistakenly booked an Executive King Room at Suning International Hotel. The first night, costing over 800 yuan, was forfeited because I arrived too late. I thought I would have to bear the loss myself, but customer service representative Amy proactively called me and helped me apply for a 14-day extension. As the new deadline approached, I found there were no rooms available due to a holiday, so she extended it again for me, following up patiently and cheerfully from afar. Her meticulousness and professionalism truly embody ”customer first” in every interaction. I am grateful to Suning for fostering such a warm team, and I wish Amy a prosperous New Year. I have already rebooked and can check in with peace of mind. I also wish to share this trust with every traveler. Suning is made warm by you, and travel is made beautiful by you.

A very good stay so far and it was made exceptional by two outstanding staff members. 刘玉 at Reception provided a wonderfully warm and offering excellent local tips. Her helpful attitude continued throughout my stay. 夏幸福 (Breakfast & Room Service) was incredibly attentive and cheerful. Her proactive and thoughtful service, whether in the dining room or delivering a meal, consistently enhanced my experience. They are truly the hotel's greatest asset. In fact, their excellent service is the reason I chose to extend my stay from an initial 3 nights to 10 nights, and perhaps even further.

Super satisfied with our family trip! Jinling Hotel has a great location and attentive service. They provide a full range of kids' amenities, the rooms are comfortable and clean, breakfast is delicious, and the pool is fantastic. It made traveling with kids easy and stress-free. This well-established five-star hotel is truly reliable and I highly recommend it for families! The New Year's Eve program was excellent, and the service from every staff member was incredibly thoughtful. The experience at the nearby Ritz was honestly speechless (in a bad way), so I highly recommend Jinling Hotel. Both my child and the elders approved, and since it was my child's birthday, they even sent a cake. For our next short trip to Nanjing, we will definitely choose Jinling Hotel again.

The room was spacious, well-equipped, and very clean. The lobby design is fantastic, and they even offer warm congee in the evenings. The service attitude was excellent. The most convenient part is its proximity to the South Station, just a three to five-minute walk away. Complimentary minibar drinks: 👍👍👍👍

The day before our arrival, I received a call from Emma at the hotel's guest relations department. She confirmed our itinerary and asked if we had any special requests. All our needs were met and arranged perfectly; her service awareness was exceptional! The hotel's location is just a few minutes' drive from Yangzhou Station, and it takes about 15-20 minutes to reach the core attractions in the old city, with smooth traffic, which is very convenient. The breakfast at Shangri-La, as always, was rich and maintained its high standard. The manager on duty would bring around special pastries on a tray, and the savory waffle with scallions was particularly delicious. The lotus root flour dumplings were also quite unique. The lake view from our room was stunning, with beautiful sunrises and nightscapes. The only area for improvement would be the evening dining at the Horizon Club. While drinks were free-flowing, the food selection was limited, and the quality could be better. We also enjoyed a discount at Shang Palace, their Michelin-starred restaurant, on our first day, with 30 RMB off for every 300 RMB spent, or 50 RMB off for every 500 RMB spent.

A beautiful addition to Nantong. Stylishly decorated throughout with an overall feeling of space, the hotel impresses from the first. The lobby is huge, and staff are excellent and welcoming. The rooms are a good size and amenities emerge excellent with a standalone bath, monsoon shower, and a really amazing view from the comfortable bed! Breakfast is about as good as it gets with a huge range of food for any palate. If you’d like a touch of luxury while staying in Nantong, this is it!

Staying at the Andu Hotel in Suzhou was an absolute delight, and I have to give it a five-star review! The hotel's location is superb, with convenient transportation nearby, making it easy to explore and dine out. The rooms feature double-layered soundproof windows, so despite being in a bustling area, it's incredibly quiet. The room itself was spotless and airy, and the bedding was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. The bathroom amenities were high-quality, and you could tell a lot of thought went into the details. The staff were exceptionally friendly and responded quickly to any requests. My entire experience was fantastic, and the value for money is unbeatable. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Suzhou!

XXavierasyI booked a suite for 2 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott the night before I came from Xi'an because I wanted to visit Niushoushan, Jinling Xiaocheng, and other tourist spots nearby. The location of the Courtyard is actually not bad; it's right beside the Hedingqiao metro station, and many food booths and convenience stores are just downstairs. You can buy takeaway at any time. The reception staff is nice and helpful and can speak very good English, no doubt. The worst was the concierge. One of the concierge staff has been playing on his cellphone every single moment. I took Didi or the metro at least 4 or 5 times every day. Every time I pass through the entrance, he is playing on his phone. The most frustrating part was when I ordered takeaway through the app. The delivery man said he placed it on the concierge cart right next to that guy, but someone took my package, and he didn't notice. YEAH, How could he possibly know if he was preoccupied with his phone ?!

GGuest UserI booked this hotel because I wanted to try out this style, and overall, I was quite satisfied with the experience. The only minor drawback was that the location was a bit hard to find at first; after parking the car at the entrance of Pingjiang Road, we had to walk a distance, and the ground was uneven, which made it a bit challenging with luggage. On the day of check-in, the front desk surprised us with an upgrade to a room with a bathtub, which was a really pleasant surprise. The front desk staff also had an excellent attitude, making us feel very well taken care of. Additionally, upon check-in, thoughtful touches like small cookies, fruit, yogurt, and a welcome card were provided. These little details really enhanced the experience. The only thing is that the lighting in the room was a bit dim. I'm not sure if it was because I didn't know how to operate it, or if it was designed that way. It would have been perfect if the lighting brightness could be adjusted.

LlwkengWe booked the family room with 2 king bed room for our whole trip in Nanjing and the hotel truly is not disappointing. The hotel is very clean and close to the Laomendong attractions. All are within walking distance. Nearby attractions are also a lot and easily reachable in short distant. Food and restaurant is not a problem. The room has all the amenities and most importantly free laundry service is available which is important for my family travel for longer days as we do not need to bring a lot of clothes. The owner is friendly and provided suggestions to our places to visit as well. Breakfast is inclusive. Even though simple, good enough to start for the day without needing to look for food before going out. Overall a good and pleasant experience with our stay.

GGuest UserNow, I can sit here and tell you that we’re staying in an eco-friendly hotel that even though you’re inside its high glass windows gives you an outdoor vibe. I can even sit and talk about the saline pool, its state-of-the-art gym and list all the amenities; and I can even talk about the number of rooms and the fact that as we speak there’s an international summit going on here. Somehow that won’t speak about my experience here at this hotel. Elements (by Westin) Suzhou Science & Technology Town does have all of the above BUT what I love about this hotel is its Staff. I love the fact that they seem to be always be here. I somehow believe that they live onsite because they’re always around. In the morning, even before I enter the Salon I hear, “Nǐ hǎo Marsha” from the Breakfast Host, followed up by the nice lady in the Salon, smiling at me and ushering me to the coffee machine, while handing me my 2 brown sugar packs. She knows my morning habits so quickly. Not only that, because they knew Peter was missing from my breakfast table for a few mornings, they now signal to me with take away containers for Peter, to have his breakfast in the room. When we need to go anywhere the young ladies at the Front Desk (no matter which Shift) are always either asking us where we need to go so that they can call a CASH taxi to get us to our destination. One of them even came with me one day to the Bank of China’s ATM and sat in the taxi while I went in and conducted my business and accompanied me to the Campus to visit Jon-Marc. Yesterday, one of them even used her own Didi account to get us transportation back to the hotel and we reimbursed her (and walked away while she was trying to give us back our change because we knew she wouldn’t have taken the Tip as is their custom). How else could we have shown her how grateful we were for her kind gesture? Then there is Simon Jiang, the General Manager, who speaks perfect English and is always there to assist and offer suggestions of things to do and places to go. Simon was the one who actually explained to me that you can’t just walk into a pharmacy and get anything without a prescription. What I can tell you is that even though he is the GM he is always on hand assisting the staff with their work. Even though there is a clear hierarchy here, he takes off his jacket and assists in the kitchen, you can sometimes see him helping the older ladies bring out the heavy equipment (if needed) when they’re cleaning the floors, clear tables, etc. Or Alex Ju, the Assistant General Manager, who accompanied Peter and I to the hospital and stayed and spoke with the doctor and the international insurance department on our behalf (in Mandarin) to make everything a little easier for us. These people are the ones who have made my stay here memorable and I can honestly say that its because of them that I would recommend Elements by Westin in Suzhou to ANYONE who wanted a place to stay without hassle and with a host of helpful, courteous, friendly staff. It has been my pleasure having encountered such warm, friendly, delightful and gentle human beings.

CChifanpeiyinliaoThis hotel is definitely a great place to walk your kids! The ecology is very good! We even saw a hare! But maybe it’s because it’s outdoors! It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high! The service attitude at the front desk is very good! Very eager to help! The road to the swimming pool is not easy to walk! Must be very careful! It's easy to fall! The locker room environment needs cleaning! The interior of the room is clean and acceptable!

DD9597****Due to changes in my itinerary, I called the front desk multiple times, and the young man there was incredibly patient and enthusiastic every single time. When I arrived, he even came to the parking lot to pick me up and helped with my luggage. Upon check-in, we received a free upgrade to a family room, which was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There were complimentary snacks in the room, and the breakfast was quite unique – Suzhou-style noodles from the noodle shop downstairs. It's a shame my schedule was too tight; I didn't have time to enjoy some Pingtan storytelling. I look forward to my next stay!

XXiaozheMy stay in Suzhou this time was absolutely fantastic, so I just had to leave a heartfelt review! The hotel has a Japanese-inspired design, simple and clean, creating a wonderful ambiance. The room was tidy and comfortable, making for a truly relaxing stay. The location is also superb, with everything you need nearby. There are tons of dining options right outside, making it super convenient for eating out and shopping. But what really warmed my heart was the service! The overall experience was top-notch, perfect whether you're traveling for leisure or business. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Suzhou!

GGlenysMGreenTree Inn, Jurong (Jiangsu Province) is an oldie but a goody! I stayed there for 5 nights in late August/early September (2025). At first glance I was a bit dubious, but it turned out to be a really great place to stay. I felt very safe there and in the neighbourhood (day and night) and would stay there again. Excellent customer service ..… the Reception and cleaning staff were all really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The first room I was allocated smelt of cigarette smoke (no thank you!), but I was immediately moved into a nicer smelling room, which was absolutely spotless, quite large, and had a nice new smart tv, air con, an opening window with a flyscreen and security bars (essential for a ground floor room), nice solid furniture, pure white linen (impressively imprinted with “GreenTree Inn”) and a clean, comfy doona and pillows. A standard hard’ish Chinese bed, but I find them quite comfy. The old carpet runner along the length of the long ground floor hallway (where my room was) is a relic from way back when, but it was clean and well maintained, as was the rest of the hotel that I could see. The shower head needed fixing, but that’s an annoyingly common problem in pretty much every budget > mid range hotel I’ve ever stayed in, in China. The hotel is only about 20 metres from Jurong Chongming Subway Station. Local bus stop almost at the front door (& across the road). The entrance to the old cobbled road (no cars allowed) & all its little shops is across the road at the lights, and a large pharmacy at the entrance (near the “archway”). Electric scooters galore to hire (via the AliPay or WeChat apps) outside the subway. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance once you get past the trades shops (plumbing supplies etc). My only gripe about GreenTree Inn Jurong (& this is a gripe I have for many hotels etc throughout China) is that smoking is allowed on the premises. I think it’s the worst it’s been since 2002 when I first started travelling to China. It’s awful walking into foyers and lifts that reek of cigarette smoke, and copping wafts of the smoke along hallways from smokers in their rooms (& ashtrays at lift entrances), and horrible arriving tired after a long flight and long trek from airports etc, only to discover you then have to request a room change to escape the smoke, and start all over again. No matter how accommodating the staff are, I could easily do without that hassle and the horrible smell. In my opinion, hotels etc in China need to up their game where that’s concerned, and follow the lead of the many countries which have banned cigarette smoking in all public buildings (including hotels), all public indoor and outdoor spaces, anywhere near children and shopping centres, on and near public transport etc etc etc.
