The hotel is located right within the Dongfengyun Scenic Area, and I honestly think it's the best hotel both inside and around the area! You can enter and exit the scenic area 24/7, allowing you to fully enjoy both the day and night views. During Chinese New Year, there were even light and dance shows, making the night scenery mysteriously stunning. The hotel itself is an Instagram-worthy spot with a fantastic design; every photo turns out great, so definitely set aside time to explore it slowly. There's a shuttle cart service from the hotel to the scenic area, and within the area, you can use the shuttle carts or rent a small electric scooter for a fee. I wouldn't recommend walking as it's sunny and vast, not very suitable for the elderly.
**Facilities**
We stayed in a suite with two rooms, and it was super spacious – easily accommodating our family of six. Snacks, drinks, and water were proactively refilled, which was a thoughtful touch. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning wasn't cooling during Chinese New Year, so it was a bit warm during the day. We had to open the windows for ventilation to sleep. The hot spring area incurs an additional charge, so you can experience it if you wish.
**Cleanliness**
It was clean and tidy, with prompt housekeeping. There were no unpleasant odors, and both public areas and rooms were cleaned very promptly. Drinking water supply was unlimited and delivered to the room as needed.
**Dining**
The breakfast spread was rich, and the restaurant's location was superb, creating a fantastic ambiance for eating and taking photos. Lunch and dinner were on the pricier side and not very extensive, but the taste was decent. If you have time, I'd recommend heading into Mile city to try local delicacies instead.
**Surroundings**
It's a 10-minute drive from the high-speed rail station, but a bit far from the city center and the Mile Giant Buddha. For a day trip or two-day trip, I'd suggest booking a private car. The nearby wineries aren't particularly special, so you can skip them. The hotel itself is worth staying at for two or three days, perfect for a vacation.
**Summary**
High aesthetic appeal, excellent location, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommended for family trips, couples' getaways, especially for those who love taking photos, travel photography, and exploring Dongfengyun in depth!

Beautiful and quaint boutique hotel with traditional ethnic Chinese architecture. It has small pockets of quiet sitting areas around for one to lounge and relax.
Hosts are super friendly and would do their best to help and advise on how to navigate the maze that is Lijiang ancient town. They would arrange with the housekeepers that daily cleaning of the room, and would ask if there is any additional request.
1 free ride for pick-up or drop-off from Lijiang Railway station can be arranged as we stayed more than 3 days.
Humidifier, hair dryer, air conditioner and heater are readily available in the room.
Room is comfortable and clean, with comfy beds and 2 types of memory foam + soft pillows to choose from
The separation of wet and dry area in the toilet + shower area is a godsend. The toiletries given are nice smelling and cleans well. The foyer to put our shoes and hang our coats and bag, kept our room clean and organised. The OCD in me is satisfied.
2 bottles of water are provided daily and more can be given if requested. Afterhours, there is a hot/cold water dispenser readily available outside the reception area.
There are 2 washing machine, 1 dryer and laundry liquid available for use. A drying area is right next to it.
Located near the north gate, on the edge of the ancient town, it is a very convenient location for exploring the town and popping in to rest in between attractions or after massive shopping. Good eateries for those on budget and those willing to splurge, are within walking distance. Chagee, 7-eleven convenience store and pharmacy are all around the corner.
Only minor inconveniences:
1. Our room is next to an elementary school. Hard to sleep in during the morning as the school bell and announcement during class breaks sound periodically. Luckily it was on our 2nd last day that this happened as school just restarted. We specifically asked for a quiet room. Would not be a problem for those out during the day. That said, it is very quiet at night.
2. Wifi can be a bit spotty sometimes. Just hijack your neighbouring room's wifi if desperate :)
That worked for us. Sorry neighbours...
3. Sockets and light switches are well placed. Would advise hosts to check the sockets by the bedside as they are a bit hard to plug in devices without a bit of wiggle and force.
4. Pls consider giving hand towels to wipe hands after washing at the washbasin. Or put a box of tissue there.
Otherwise, had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Yiyun, would recommend anyone visiting Lijiang to stay at this great value for money boutique hotel!

We were welcomed by A Fei, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, dependable, and super helpful. He can assist you with literally anything from recommending great restaurants and souvenir shops to finding the best places to buy local goods. He even went as far as asking for discounts from the shop owners for us!
The room was super clean, tidy, and spacious. We originally booked two rooms, but since one was a bit smaller and on the first floor, he upgraded us to a larger room right next to each other so my family wouldn't be separated. He also handled our station transfers and organized our Jade Dragon Snow Mountain tour, which was seamless and very satisfying. The breakfast was good too. Overall, a 10/10 experience!

A perfect stay! From the moment we walked in, the staff's genuine smiles and thoughtful service made us feel incredibly valued. The room was spacious and bright with an amazing view, and the cleanliness was impeccable down to every detail. The hotel facilities are top-notch, and the dining was a true feast for the senses. What impressed us most was how warm and attentive every single employee was, always ready to help and truly embodying a five-star standard. This place perfectly blends luxury with comfort and is absolutely excellent value for money. I've already recommended it to friends, and it will definitely be my first choice next time I'm in town!

A beautiful hotel located in a fantastic place in Lijiang Old Town. The owner was very welcoming and on arrival let us leave our bags for us to explore the town and when we returned he welcomed us with his own Chinese tea. The room was great! Good size, very comfortable beds, warm, good shower and toilet too. It had a lovely courtyard view and window seat. The owner helped us and answered all of our questions through WeChat and let us leave our bags for our fins day. We would 100% recommend!
Extremely satisfied with our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; when they saw us with our luggage across the street, they immediately came over to assist. Every single staff member greeted us with a smile. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was exquisitely prepared and delicious. The individual portions were quite filling. We only stayed one night in Chuxiong as we were just passing through, but our impression of this place far exceeded our expectations. We'll definitely come back for a longer stay in the future.

After some time to reflect, I want to give a relatively objective review.
Overall, I'm very satisfied. The hotel's location is excellent, with building R directly facing Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and close to all the attractions. The weather wasn't great when we visited, so we didn't book Pushu Xueshan, which turned out to be the right decision. The large cable car was closed for two days, and we didn't see the 'Golden Mountain bathed in sunlight,' but being able to assess the situation from the hotel room saved us a wasted trip.
In terms of facilities, the hotel is very well-equipped. As a family-friendly hotel, the activities organized were abundant and fun. I highly recommend the complimentary travel photography offered by Trip.com! It even included outfits and styling for free, and with makeup, it was only 88. You can also bring your own camera to capture some shots; it's very beautiful, and there's no need to go to the ancient town, as the hotel grounds are perfect for photos. The hygiene was also quite good. We mentioned a slight odor near the pet park after the rain, and combined with a companion experiencing altitude sickness, they thoughtfully changed our room. It's a shame I didn't get to experience the pool, which is a major factor in my hotel evaluations, but I missed it this time due to altitude sickness.
Regarding service awareness, it was a bit inconsistent. For me, the hotel experience is a very important part of traveling, so I generally stay at big-brand five-star hotels in every city. Coming from Indigo Dali, I could tell that some staff here might not be as well-trained, perhaps mostly interns? Small details like greeting guests or smiling when passing by need improvement. I've stayed at many Hyatt properties, and this Lijiang one is probably just around the passing mark. However, the price wasn't high during the off-season, and their attitude and efficiency in resolving issues were very good. Overall, it's still very good value for money.
Before leaving, I had a brief chat with the front desk and could feel that this is a hotel eager to improve its service quality and standards, which is always what I value most in a hotel. In the end, I still gave it a high rating and recommend it. I wish them continued success.
📍Location: The location is excellent, located at the junction of Hongta Avenue and Wenhua Road in the city center, next to the Yuxi Museum, opposite the beautiful Nie Er Park, and it is very convenient to enter and exit by bus/Didi.
🔸Service: Polite and professional, supplementary items in the room can be delivered immediately, and the welcome fruit is good.
🔹Facilities: The weather was hot during the few days of stay, and the air conditioning could not be turned on all day. The hotel made corresponding explanations and took relevant cooling measures. The executive room is large, with a suite design style, a large-size dual TV, and free 🆓tourism information at the front desk and in the room.
🍚Food: The buffet breakfast is relatively rich and has many categories.
👉The hotel is listed with 4️⃣ stars, with high overall cost performance, recommended!

Staying by Cuihu Lake in Kunming this time was definitely the right choice. Even though the hotel is a bit old, it still has its charm, and the location is superb – you can walk right to the beautiful Cuihu Lake. Waking up to see foreigners jogging by the lake in the morning, that unhurried, relaxed vibe, really captures the essence of Kunming. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was excellent. But what truly stood out was the warm service. Mr. Xi and Ms. Wang at the front desk were incredibly friendly and attentive. They even helped me with a small errand like sending a package, making me feel less like a temporary guest and more like I was coming home. The value for money is outstanding, and if I ever return to Kunming, this will still be my top pick. 🏨

The service was incredibly responsive and felt like family – so thoughtful! The location is also fantastic; you can just step downstairs and hit the night market for food and shopping, which is super convenient. Breakfast on the second-floor terrace was great, especially the freshly made rice noodles or regular noodles – very tasty!

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this brand-new hotel (opened in 2024), and it was such a nice experience. If you want a place with lots of extras, this is it. They have two pool tables, a small rooftop pool, and two gyms—one for yoga and Pilates with all the equipment, and another with treadmills, bikes, free weights, and even a Smith machine. There’s also a laundry room with washers, which was really handy.
The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, but you’ll want to arrive early to get the best selection. The staff were all very friendly, but Fei Xiu (绯袖) on WeChat was especially helpful—she answered all my questions quickly and made everything easy.
The location isn’t right on the riverbank near the Starlight Market, but it’s not far from tourist spots either. It’s actually in a good spot if you want a quieter stay while still being close enough to everything.
If you’re looking for a modern, well-equipped hotel with great service, I’d definitely recommend this one!

GGuest UserI was so happy to stay at this guesthouse on my first night in Lijiang! The next morning, when I opened the curtains, I saw the 'Golden Mountain Bathed in Sunlight' – I felt so lucky! Being able to see the snow-capped mountains from my room was an amazing experience. It's been a long time since I've written a review, but this place genuinely made me want to give it a good one!
The view from the third floor is fantastic, and there's even a viewing deck. They've thoughtfully decorated so many spots that are perfect for photos. Since I was traveling alone, I asked the friendly staff at the front desk to help me take some pictures, and their photography skills were excellent.
A big part of my positive impression of Lijiang comes from this guesthouse. It's also very close to Baisha Ancient Town, within walking distance. Later, when I didn't have time to check out, the guesthouse staff helped me out a lot. All in all, I highly recommend this place if you're coming to Lijiang!!
GGuest UserAmbiance: Tranquil and secluded, a unique Chinese aesthetic. The entire room was filled with the scent of aromatherapy incense, which was incredibly refreshing. I loved the citronella essential oil and bought over 1000 yuan worth, getting a 30% discount – quite a good deal.
Facilities: The open-air heated massage private onsen was fantastic. The room directly faced the 'Golden Mountain in Sunlight' view.
Service: Our butler, Luna, provided excellent service. She helped us book a photography session in advance, arranged our room, including housekeeping, answered all our questions, booked our airport transfer, and took care of little things like the 'Little Turtle' welcome gift and bottled water. Highly recommend! The turndown service was particularly special: on the first night, we had a rose milk foot bath in a copper basin, and on the second night, it was a coarse salt foot bath in a copper basin. Breakfast was also good and came with a scenic view.
One-way airport transfer between the hotel and Lijiang Sanyi Airport: The airport drop-off service was good.
One complimentary ethnic costume photography session (requires booking at least 1 day in advance): I had already taken photos in ******* and Yi costumes a few days prior, so here I tried on Miao ethnic clothing, which was another great experience of local culture. I didn't add any extra photos beyond the included five.
Seasonal welcome fruit: We received small fruit baskets on both days. In the evening, there were fresh juices and small cakes – red pitaya juice and orange juice. There was also a large cake in the fridge!
VVictoriaG1502The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with any requests, which made the stay feel very comfortable and welcoming.
The room was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. I especially appreciated the cozy ambience and the attention to detail in the amenities provided. The bed was comfortable, and the overall environment felt relaxing and peaceful — perfect for a short getaway.
The facilities were also well-kept, and the dining experience was enjoyable. Everything was presented nicely and the quality met expectations. The location is convenient yet tucked away enough to feel like a quiet retreat from the busy city.
Overall, it was a pleasant and fuss-free stay. I would definitely consider returning and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing hotel experience.

江江景哲For my trip to Lijiang Old Town, I chose to stay at this hotel within the ancient city, and overall, I was extremely satisfied. The hotel's location is excellent; it's just a short walk to the main street of the Old Town, but it's not in the most bustling area, so it was very quiet at night – perfect for a good rest. The courtyard has a typical Naxi architectural style, which is very characteristic of Lijiang and makes for great photos. The room was clean and tidy, well-equipped, with comfortable bedding and reliable hot water. The owner and staff were all very welcoming and even proactively offered recommendations for sightseeing routes and local food in the Old Town, which was a really thoughtful touch. Enjoying the sun and tea in the courtyard in the morning was incredibly relaxing. Overall, it offers great value for money. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Lijiang and will recommend it to my friends.
BBingbingle、The room was very spacious and well-equipped.
The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking.
The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed.
The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes.
I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yunnan.
GGuest UserSeriously can't recommend this hidden gem of an inn enough! The room was impeccably clean, which instantly put me at ease. The bedding was super comfy, and the whole environment felt so elegant. Breakfast was delicious and clearly made with care – fresh and warming. The observation deck has an unbeatable view; it's absolutely stunning both during the day and at sunset, perfect for incredible photos. The afternoon tea was delicate and delicious, and enjoying it with such a beautiful view was truly therapeutic. I had such a comfortable and pleasant stay, definitely a full five stars!
GGuest UserI brought my mom to Lijiang, and our two-night stay at Shitoucuo was absolutely perfect, exceeding all expectations!
The hotel's location is superb, nestled at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The environment is quiet and healing, and the stone architecture is very unique. Our room was clean and comfortable, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The staff were warm and attentive, providing excellent service from check-in to check-out. They were especially thoughtful and meticulous in caring for my elderly mother, making us feel right at home.
We particularly enjoyed the hotel's arranged hiking and fruit picking activity. Our guide was professional and patient, leading us to connect with nature. My mom had an amazing time, and it was a truly unforgettable memory from our trip. Parking for self-drivers was also very convenient, and free charging was a huge plus, making our travels worry-free.
After checking out, we headed to Lugu Lake, and we spent the whole journey reminiscing about the wonderful time we had at Shitoucuo. I genuinely recommend this place to anyone visiting Lijiang – you can't go wrong with this choice!

ZZhuwomengxiangchengzhenbaDali Muxinbao French Seaview Manor is absolutely stunning! Perched halfway up a cliff, the panoramic views are incredible, offering a 270° overlook of Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain. The French manor design creates an amazing ambiance, perfect for snapping beautiful photos effortlessly. The rooms are spacious and clean, with floor-to-ceiling windows providing unobstructed sea views, and the bedding is super comfortable. The butler service is attentive, breakfast is exquisite, and the evening sweet soup is a lovely, heartwarming touch. It's a quiet and healing escape from the hustle and bustle, a true hidden gem of a guesthouse by Erhai Lake. I'll definitely be back!
