Despite the language barrier, he went above and beyond by communicating with us through a translator. He shared recommendations for local attractions, helped us order food, and even drove us to several locations around Zhangjiajie. Zhangjiajie East Gate Boutique B&B | 50 Meters from Scenic Area Entrance, Unparalleled Service, You Won't Want to Leave! For this trip to Zhangjiajie, we spent the first two nights enjoying a slow pace on the west side, then moved to the Guanzhi S B&B near the East Gate for the next two nights. This B&B positions itself as a boutique hotel, not just a regular guesthouse. From the moment you step in, you know it's something special – an artist's entrance, with an artistic atmosphere permeating every corner. The details are meticulously crafted. Many guests here are international tourists and discerning travelers who appreciate quality. It's no exaggeration to say this is the most thoughtful and attentive service I've ever experienced. 📍Location: 50 meters from the East Gate, 7-seater shuttle service provided The B&B is about 50 meters from the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, making park access incredibly convenient. However, because it's so close to the scenic area, it's located in a restricted zone. ⚠️ You MUST use Didi (ride-hailing app) to get directly to the B&B's doorstep. Plus, the hotel offers a 7-seater shuttle service, so transportation is a breeze for families. It's also easy to find restaurants after leaving the park, as the area around the East Gate is full of eateries. 🛏️Bathtub King Room: Refined Down to the Details We stayed in a bathtub king room. The room isn't huge but is exquisite in every detail. The bedding is comfortable, and a relaxing soak in the tub at night washes away all the day's fatigue. If you need anything, just scan the QR code by the bed, and it'll be delivered in minutes – a godsend for busy parents! 👶Parents with Kids Rejoice! All These are Free! Forgot kids' toothbrushes, slippers, or shower gel? The B&B has it all; just ask the front desk, and they'll bring it to your room. There's also a 5 sqm kids' play area with a slide, building blocks, and a small rocking horse. Great place to stay. Super modern amenities, everything goes seamless from the pickup service, check-in, and chatting with the staffs (you need Wechat). While this place is about 30 minutes away from downtown Zhangjiajie and Tianmen mountain cableway station, you can truly feel being at Zhangjiajie as you get to stay at a place that is surrounded by foggy mountains. Breakfast buffet is complimentary and pretty decent and other Chinese menu that you can order at the hotel restaurant are phenomenal. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this place to other travelers.

Pet-friendly hotel, and they even upgraded my room. The location is excellent, just over a kilometer from the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, surrounded by several other big hotels, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The lobby is on the 7th floor and features a beautifully decorated rooftop terrace with several Ragdoll cats. The family room with one large and one small bed was perfect for traveling with an older child. I noticed many foreigners staying here – Zhangjiajie is really popular with international visitors!

We had a very pleasant stay at this lodge mostly because of the young, efficient, helpful, warm staff. All of them are great! We stayed for 4 nights. They helped us book our tour tickets and even order food. Love the minimalist look and the scenic view at the 5th floor. We experienced both sunny and rainy weather and both are amazing. The food is satisfying, I forgot to order the noodle soup, though I would love to suggest to have more protein (meat) options and change menu daily. Nonetheless, I would still love to stay here again if ever we come back. The location is also great with few minutes walk to where the happenings is. Thanks a lot!

I had an amazing stay at Avatar Mountain Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a peaceful atmosphere and lovely surroundings. What really made our stay exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly attentive, kind, and always willing to help. Our flight was delayed by several hours, meaning we arrived in the early hours of the morning, but they still arranged to pick us up from the airport and were just as helpful when dropping us off later. Their hospitality made a stressful travel day so much easier. Although the hotel is a little outside the city, it was never an issue. Getting a DiDi was quick and affordable, and the staff were always happy to help arrange transportation and make sure we could get wherever we wanted to go without any hassle. Overall, the combination of the beautiful hotel, outstanding service, and convenient transport made for a fantastic stay. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Zhangjiajie!

We stopped here during our road trip, and overall, the stay was excellent. The room was clean and bright, with plenty of space, and the bedding was soft, ensuring a good night's sleep. The facilities were comprehensive, and the hot water supply was stable. The front desk staff were friendly, and check-in was efficient and quick. The surrounding area was convenient for getting around, and it was quiet at night with no bothersome noise, allowing us to rest well after a long drive. The price was great, offering excellent value for money. It's perfect for a stopover during a long road trip, and we'll definitely choose it again if we're passing through.

As a frequent traveler, I never expected a hotel in a small town to offer a service level beyond five-star. The room design was thoughtful in every detail, with a logical layout, spotless cleanliness, and a full range of amenities. The sunken tea room on the balcony was the biggest highlight – enjoying a pot of tea in the afternoon, gazing at the mountains, was an indescribably pleasant experience. The service was simply outstanding. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the shuttle driver was genuinely friendly. The hotel's pick-up and drop-off service was truly unbeatable. If I hadn't already booked my flight for the next day, I would have loved to stay an extra night. Overall, this place is perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers looking to unwind. It’s an excellent escape from the city bustle, and I highly recommend it! Additionally, I strongly suggest visiting the Xiangxi Museum, less than a hundred meters from the hotel, before exploring Furong Ancient Town. Understanding the local culture beforehand will give you a completely different and richer experience of the ancient town.

We enjoyed staying here. They could help us with booking passes for the Avatar Mountains (Zhangjiajie National Park) and the Tianmen cave on Tianzi Mountain. They speak good english and cared to make sure we were settled in our room, very helpful. The room was very big clean, tidy and looked after, modern castle style. Great views of the Mountains from the balcony. We could do our own laundry free - two washers, two dryers that work very well. Easy to get to places from here. We took Didi (Uber) to Avatar Mountains East Gate entrance (45mins-1hr), cheap as chips to us ($25 NZD for a two hour trip). Easy to catch Didi back from there or anywhere! Using your phone App only, or you may get ripped off by taxis parked there. Highly recommend staying here.

A very unique and memorable stay in Zhangjiajie! We stayed 2 nights in the Morning Glow King Suite Bedroom. The highlight of this homestay is its cave concept. The reception area is huge, impressive, and beautifully designed, creating a real wow factor upon arrival. The property also features a cave restaurant where breakfast is served, and dinner can be arranged with advance booking. There is also a cosy cave lounge for guests to relax. Our room was large, comfortable, and very clean. The facilities were well maintained and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Location is excellent. The homestay is hidden behind the famous theatre performance venue but only a short walk to the main street, making it convenient while remaining quiet. Highly recommended for travellers looking for a unique accommodation experience in Zhangjiajie. The cave setting alone makes it worth staying here.
