The location is excellent, and the rooms are well-equipped. The front desk staff are warm and welcoming, and the breakfast offers a great variety. There's also a rooftop terrace. It's only a five-minute walk to 51 Square, and the subway entrance is right downstairs, making it super convenient to get anywhere. I highly recommend it for your trip! It's fully smart-enabled, and you can even call out to 'Xiao Du Xiao Du' (a voice assistant).

I had the most amazing stay at this hotel. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were picked up from the railway station. They dealt with our entry tickets, they dealt with our bags at every point, me and my friend didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our train on the day we were leaving was scheduled for 3pm. The staff let us stay in our room until 2pm, which hotels don’t usually do free of charge. Upon leaving, the gentleman who worked for the hotel told us to choose any food and drink we would like for our next train journey, which was incredibly thoughtful. The hotel room was incredibly clean and the views from the balcony were magnificent.

The stay was excellent. Butler Lily cared for us as if we were part of her family. The hotel provided convenient transportation to the high-speed rail station and even offered a shuttle service from the far side of the ancient town—perfect for those who prefer not to walk. We were delighted to be upgraded to a Deluxe Room, which was spacious and comfortable. The property is clean and thoughtfully equipped, including three‑pin plugs and free water bottle for added convenience. Areas for improvement would be the addition of a full‑length mirror and more coffee machines at the breakfast area to ease the morning rush. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the attentive service.

It was a lovely stay. The owner super friendly and helpful. Speak English. He explains the map where to go and what to see. The hotel located at the end of the quiet side of the old town. That’s is so good. Because it get very noisy from the bar and restaurants. But the hotel are hides the sounds. The room it’s clean. Good space, and view of the old city, right next to the river. It was the perfect choice for couple. And family to stay.

A hotel which is about 2 years old, everything is new. We were quite impressed with the smart controls in the room. We can command it to close the curtains, turn off n on the lights, ask about the temperature for the day etc. We opted for rooms with the mountain view and we could see it from the room window every-day subject to weather conditions. Waiting for the rooms when we arrived, the reception was very nice to explain to us in detail which route to take to tianmen mountain, zhangjiajie grand canyon, National Forest Park (Avater mountains). We decided to make our base at this hotel while taking the didi (1+ hr to n 1+hr back) to the grand canyon n national forest park. It is a hassle to travel around those areas with luggages. The cableway to tianmen mountain is 10 mins walk, very convenient. Be prepared to walk a lot. Lucky there is a foot n body massage on the 4th floor of the hotel. It was a saver to our legs after a long day at tianmen mountain. There were eateries around but we were not used to the spicy n oily food, the San xia guo is a hot item sold around there, we stayed away from restaurants selling San xia guo after one meal with it, we did not like it. We try to find restaurants with food that was gentler on our gut like haidilao n Korean BBQ buffet. There is a breakfast restaurant 5 mins walk from the hotel which is a heaven as the food is more to our liking, they even had fresh soy bean, dumplings, non spicy noodle soup. The hotel breakfast was not bad, good n light. Please get the meicha which is a herbal tea from zhangjiajie, good for relaxing before sleep and it is said to be good for the 3 highs. Available in the shopping areas, the store at the lobby of the hotel sells it too. Overall the hotel is clean, quiet, good amenities, good location, good views. Just a feedback on one morning where we out for breakfast and left our belongings unlocked, we put the not to disturb door sign on the door but the housekeeper came in to clean the room. Please inform the housekeeper not to enter the room when there is no instructions to clean the room on the door sign.

Me and my two friends had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious, the air conditioning worked great, and the room was cleaned wonderfully throughout our stay. The bathroom was also very nice, modern, and well maintained. We also had some really nice views from the window. The surrounding area was great too, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and massage places nearby at very affordable prices. The pool looked fantastic as well. Unfortunately, we were so busy exploring that we only got to admire it rather than use it! Breakfast had a lot of variety and everything we tried was very nice. All of the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist us. They kindly accommodated both an early check-in and a late check-out, which we really appreciated. The staff also helped us arrange and book our trips, which made our holiday much less stressful. They were available on WeChat and always replied quickly whenever we needed assistance. Overall, it was a smooth and lovely stay. If we ever return to Zhangjiajie, we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Room was very nice, facilities were all good. Location was a quick walk to the waterfall. The towels had holes in them, there were dead squished flies on the walls. We weren't aware when booking that the entry to the scenic area wasn't included so we paid another 90 yuan per person just to enter. The staff were generally helpful but she confused the paid performances with others. We were told we could watch each of the performances but then were refused to enter the area. But, they offered a free pick up from the railway station and offered to for a ride back. The room is right next to a bar with live music so isn't quiet at night.

We checked in on the evening of May 3rd, and the butler upgraded us to a suite, which was a pleasant surprise. The guesthouse owner was very welcoming, and the next day he even showed us the entire villa. Every room was very comfortably furnished. The butler was incredibly kind; on the evening of the 3rd, he offered to pick up my husband from the high-speed rail station. Later, on the 4th, when we returned from our outing, we realized how dark the mountain roads were. We were truly grateful to the lovely butler. The guesthouse has a wonderful natural environment. The flowers and trees at the entrance and the various vegetables and fruits in the small garden demonstrate the owner's dedication. The guesthouse is currently undergoing renovations and upgrades, and my daughter is especially looking forward to the barbecue area in the adjacent stargazing room. Overall, the stay was very comfortable and definitely worth a second visit.

The view blew me away, no 5-star hotel could beat the view from this hotel. A must visit when you want to spend the night in Furong. I was initially afraid I cannot sleep due to the sound of waterfall, but turned out I had one of the best sleep ever. The waterfall sound was so tranquil that it wasn’t disturbing my sleep at all. Service was excellent too. The driver will pick you up in the airport and took your luggage up to your room. Receptionist is very accommodating. The only thing that could be improved is the facility, water from the shower could seep through the gap.

The hotel is located right by the Hongqiao scenic area. We booked a suite, and it was spacious and clean. It's just a short walk to the Tuojiang River Diaojiao Building, which was really convenient. Since we were traveling with elderly people and had a lot of luggage, the staff were incredibly warm and helpful. They assisted us with our bags and even gave us directions. When our suitcase broke, they even helped us open the lock. Such a wonderful hotel! We'll definitely stay here again next time!

CCMaddoxHad a super stay. Room was comfortable, modern, all electric. Had a projector and screen. View was a bus park but noise low with window closed. No hotels here have views as in the town. I had a voucher for afternoon tea and evening cocktail each day. Breakfast was varied with Chinese and western options. 100 yds from the B gate park entrance to Tianmen Mountain which is the Pagoda building. Good location in Town, easy walk to theatre or food. Very enjoyable stay, would recommend.

GGuest UserUpon arrival staff were very kind and welcoming. I’ve never stayed in a place so secluded so this was absolutely a great experience and super wholesome. Id recommend this place to couples and solo travellers, not necessarily for families unless you enjoy each others company x50 hehe. The property itself has a tea house, a restaurant and cute scenery places to explore and walk around. Cute cats and dogs are constantly roaming too :) the mountain view is picturesque and honestly a breathtaking view when waking up to it. Staff was so accomodating on my one night stay. I texted on WeChat at 1am in the evening and Mr Hu was super responsive and even got tasks done for me like finding cigarettes and Coke Zero late at night. The property was very clean for a cabin styled property, however I am used to more modern places - also please beware lots of mosquitoes during warm season so pack repellent!! I highly recommend the property if you’re visiting the Avatar Mountains, it’s 9 minutes away to the East Gate Entrance (Tianzi Cableway), the staff can also help book your tours and tickets easily.

KKatiTranWe had a wonderful stay here as a family of four and were genuinely impressed by the overall experience. The room was incredibly spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax and feel comfortable throughout our stay. What impressed us the most was the outstanding hospitality of the staff. Every team member was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. They even arranged a complimentary airport pickup for us, which made our arrival very smooth and stress-free. The staff also helped us a lot with planning our visit to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. They assisted us with organizing our itinerary, making reservations, and answering all of our questions immediately whenever we needed support. It has been a long time since we experienced such genuine hospitality and kindness. Although our first room had a few minor issues, the staff responded immediately and helped us without hesitation by arranging a new room for us right away. During our departure, we even noticed that the original room was already being renovated and the issues were being fixed, which really showed us how much the hotel cares about maintaining high standards and listening to guest feedback. Another highlight was the beautiful rooftop terrace with a wonderful view over the city. The hotel location is also excellent, with major attractions and important sights reachable within just a few minutes on foot. The free laundry service was also a very convenient bonus during our trip. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again if we return to Zhangjiajie. We would also like to sincerely thank the entire team for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for excellent service, comfort, and exceptional hospitality.

GGuest UserGeneral: This is one of the best hotels I stay in China. When we arrived the butler came to great us at the door and gave us each a box of fruits. Itinerary Planning & Tickets: They then ask us if we have our itinerary planned which we replied that we haven't planned out our route. The 小哥哥 at the counter then proceed to help us plan our itinerary and route to take when we tell them the time constraints we have. Also, we bought the tickets via the hotel which is much cheaper than buying via Trip or Klook. The tickets they books also includes unlimited ride for the Cable Cars and Bailong Elevator which I believe you have to buy for each ride if you are buying at the entrance itself. Cleanliness & Room: Although we did not get a mountain facing view room (we got rooms that faces some other building), it is okay because most of the time the curtains are on. If you want to see mountain scenery, can go up to level 5 which is also the breakfast area. Rooms are clean and room service is done everyday. Air con is also sufficiently cold. Food: For room we booked, it comes with breakfast. Note sure about other room packages. The breakfast was good in my opinion and it is buffet style. It is mainly Chinese food such as baos, glutinous rice, you tiao, mantou, fried rice, fried eggs, taro balls etc. For drinks i think there's coke, soy milk, tea. Saw some other tourists walk 1 round around the buffet station and ended up eating cherry tomatoes for breakfast. Don't know what is running though their head XD because if you are in China and are not eating Chinese/local food, then why are you in China LOL? Honestly recommended for you to get a hotel with breakfast package if you are travelling in Zhangjiajie because there are not a lot of food options at the base of the park. Location & Transportation: The hotel is near Zhangjiajie East Gate and comes with ferry and pick up service to and fro Zhangjiajie East Gate. However, the driver ends work at 7pm local time. So plan your route carefully or else you need to Didi or walk back to hotel. Honestly, both walking and Didi back to hotel are feasible as they are quite short distance from East Gate. Recommended to book a hotel near East Gate like this one because immediately at the entrance you have shuttle buses to various locations. If you enter via South Gate, you have to hike a bit before you get to take shuttle buses. Staff Service: The 小姐姐 and 小哥哥 at the front counter are very nice and friendly. Had a good chat with them. Maybe should have taken a picture or added their WeChat or sth LOL. They were very prompt and helpful to our queries. They also have a service that sends your luggage to Zhangjiajie Xi Station and hold it there because we are heading to Chongqing East Station via Gaotie. However, do note that it is paid. But it would still be cheaper than if you Didi to Zhangjiejie Xi Station and rent a locker for Luggage Storage. Price point: Slight more pricey than options in Zhangjiajie city but it is worth it.

ZZiziExcellent! It's a large hotel with great capacity. It has its own restaurant, and the breakfast offers a good variety of dishes with distinct Xiangxi characteristics. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. The location is superb, just a few steps from the scenic area, and there are tons of street food options nearby! The view from the window is delightful!

GGuest UserThe service was excellent and very attentive. The butler called in advance to check on our needs, and upon check-in, a dedicated chat group was set up for timely communication and responses. We received a free room upgrade, and the room was spotlessly clean. We also enjoyed afternoon tea and shuttle service to Furong Town scenic area. There's an underground parking lot available. The hotel environment is also quite good. We even received a small gift at check-out.

GGuest UserI brought my parents to Zhangjiajie for the May Day holiday and after some consideration, we chose Shawn. The experience was excellent. The location is great – convenient for dining and shopping, yet away from the bustling city center. There's a stream behind the hotel, and you can see Tianmen Mountain in the distance, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the activity. The hotel environment is lovely, with a Shawn-themed design and stylish decor. It's well-equipped with a gym, family-friendly facilities, a bar, and dining options. Upon check-in, we received a free room upgrade. The room was clean, the bedding spotless, and the orthopedic mattress was incredibly comfortable. We slept very well after two days of exploring Zhangjiajie. The butler service was exceptional. The manager, front desk, housekeeping, and engineering staff provided one-on-one service through a group chat, attending to every request promptly without being intrusive. It was a fantastic experience.

MmiroYiTraveling to Zhangjiajie, my stay at the Cave Hotel far exceeded my expectations this time. It was truly unique! The entire hotel is built into natural caves, blending the original terrain with exquisite furnishings. The rock wall textures are naturally distinctive, and the lighting creates an amazing ambiance, making it feel like stepping into a hidden paradise. It's perfect for taking photos. The room was spacious and well-laid out, with soft and comfortable bedding. The soundproofing was excellent; even though we were in a mountain cave, it was incredibly quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. All the facilities were comprehensive. The bathroom was clean and tidy, and the hot water supply was stable. The staff were warm and attentive, check-in was efficient, and any requests were promptly addressed. Waking up to mountain views and fresh, pleasant air, far from the city's hustle and bustle, was truly relaxing for both body and mind. This unique accommodation experience was novel and therapeutic, perfect for couples or a leisurely vacation. The price was reasonable, offering great value for money. I've already recommended it to friends, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit. It's truly worth experiencing!

DDanial HarrisService: Our host, Xiao Xiao, was incredibly helpful and informative throughout our trip. I booked this hotel about a month in advance, and from the moment I made the reservation, she assisted with itinerary planning and booking arrangements for all our attractions, including Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (Avatar Mountain), Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, and the Tianmen Fox Fairy Show. She even managed to secure some of the best seats for the show. Her recommendations and local knowledge were extremely useful and helped make our trip smooth and enjoyable. The hotel also offers complimentary laundry service. You simply send your laundry to the laundry room, and once it is finished, the staff will deliver it back to your room. Location: As Muslim travelers, we found this hotel to be an excellent choice. There are three halal restaurants nearby, with two within walking distance (about 500 meters) and another around 2 km away. Even if you choose to take a Didi, the fare is only around 6–7 yuan per trip. The hotel is also very close to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (Avatar Mountain), just a 10-minute walk (approximately 700 meters) or a short Didi ride costing around 6–7 yuan. Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon is only about a 20-minute Didi ride away. Another highlight is the hotel's riverside location, which provides beautiful scenic views and a relaxing atmosphere. Cleanliness: The hotel was very clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job tidying the room daily. Overall: If you're planning to visit Zhangjiajie, especially for Avatar Mountain and the surrounding attractions, this hotel is an excellent choice. Its strategic location, reasonable price, cleanliness, and outstanding service make it highly recommended. The exceptional assistance from Xiao Xiao was the cherry on top and made our stay even more memorable. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

GGuest UserOverall, this was a pleasant stay and I will book again if I visit Qiyang again. We had 2 adults and 2 young children. Wishing to stay together in one room, they happily allowed this and waived any additional charge for breakfast for my 2 kids. The place was clean and very comfortable. Whilst the rooms are very clean some mould is starting to colour on the waterproof sealing in the shower. I hope the hotel keeps the clean appearance with a bit of bleach cleaning on the mould. Another great plus is that they have 2 free to use washing machines and 2 dryers. I hand washed stained clothes in my room and use the machines for the final wash. It became one of the things I did whilst the wait was used to train in the gym next to the laundry area. The gym was rudimentary but if you know how to train, bringing in a couple of training bands will be adequate. The bench is a bit wobbly so watch out for that. The location of the hotel is perfect with a large park opposite. For western visitors, I think they need to understand a few things about hotels in non-first tier city in Mainland China and specifically Qiyang. 1) Yes, most things are in Puntonghua (including the room's voice control AI) although the front desk staff can communicate in basic English. 2) The breakfast food buffet is distinctly catered to local tastes, so you won't get western style croissants, sausages, bacon and eggs. What you will get is the delicious freshly made noodles and boiled eggs, steamed rice bus, fried noodles, fried rice, spicy fried pork and beef, with congee and Chinese style broth. If you want western breakfast, you need to go to local McDonalds which is a 5 minute taxi ride away. 3) That brings me on to taxis. On the plus, its cheap. Most taxis charge around RMB10-20 (USD 1.40 -2.40) for a 2 mile radius. On the negative, you need to be able to get one and the hotel doesn't have a taxi call service, not by any fault of the hotel but by the lack of committed taxi drivers who are willing to work with the hotel, so very much hail on the street yourself kind of thing. 4) There is a KTV on the 3rd floor of the hotel but that is normal for a big Qiyang hotel. I would definitely recommend one of the higher floors if you want a little less noise. 5) And yes, there is literally one or two German cockroaches in the room at night but luckily not a serious infestation level. That is expected for rural places like Qiyang especially where the origin of the infestation may not be at the hotel itself.
