My welcome was very warm. There was complimentary pick up from the train station, and oranges and candies waiting when I arrived. The old house/hotel was charming, with amazing views over the old town. It was inside the scenic area, which means it was an 8 minute walk to everywhere. The proprietress was very helpful with suggestions on where to go and what to do. My room was coziness itself! Breakfast was adequate enough to keep me fueled until lunch time. I would definitely stay again!

Everything was perfect and I don’t say that lightly! The girls at reception are very kind and helpful! Breakfast was excellent and had some European options! The complimentary tea was great! Location is superb and you can easily take a Didi or walk to the city centre. The washing room facilities were super handy. Room was beautiful and clean. Really recommend it! Probably the best hotel I have stayed at!

We stayed for two nights at Fungee’s Hotel, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, creating a very relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and always ready to help with a smile, which made us feel truly welcomed and valued. Their hospitality added a special touch to our visit. The location is also convenient, making it easy to explore Changsha. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

This hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right by the Tuojiang River in the middle-lower part of the ancient town! Getting around is super convenient. After getting off the maglev, the hotel even offers a pick-up service directly to the entrance! The front desk service was warm and attentive, especially our concierge, Keke. Seeing we had two kids, she even upgraded our room for free. It's so heartwarming to meet such a wonderful concierge when you're traveling. The hotel's facilities are also very new, clean, and tidy. You can open the window and see the Tuojiang River right there. Sitting on the balcony, sipping tea, and just relaxing was incredibly delightful! Breakfast was also very generous. Since we had an early high-speed train, they even thoughtfully reminded us to have breakfast ahead of time! All in all, this hotel provided so much emotional value that really made our trip enjoyable. If we ever get the chance to come back, this hotel will definitely be our first choice!

We are seasoned travellers. Having travelled to many parts of the world. We have both been to Chima before but mainly for work. I, had visited China on a vacation many, many years ago as a young man. So, this visit felt like we were visiting Chima for the very first time! Our plan was to visit the Zhangjiajie Forest National Par, 72 Wondertown and Tianmen Mountain. Wyndham Garden Hotel Tianmen Mountain hotel was first class. The staff were very helpful and always on hand to help. Though we did not encounter a fluent English speaking staff member, the use of Google Translate was more than enough to get by. Plus good old sign language! Breakfast: Is a buffet and is excellent! Lots to choose from but mainly catered towards an Asian cuisine. Location: Is excellent if visiting Tianmen Mountain. It is within walking distance (15-20min) to the Cable Car Chairlift up the mountain. 72 Wondertown is only a 15min Didi ride away. Zhangjiajie Forest National Park (Avatar Mountains) is approximately 40 to 50min car ride. So, one needs to plan for this. Which means an early start every day and can be tiring. Hotel Room: Is clean and tidy. We asked for non-smoking rooms and hot these. Rooms with a view of Tianmen Mountain were good but noisy. Particularly, if you have the window open during the night. All in all, we enjoyed our stay with Zhangjiajie Garden Tianmen Mountain hotel and we will definitely be back!

I ordered food late at night and there was no robot to deliver it to the room, so I called the front desk if they could bring it to the room. They refused and told me to get it myself. After going to the lobby I see the receptionist talking to the assistant, both of them are clearly not busy. Sure, I can get the food myself but when I'm paying the price for an Intercontinental hotel I would expect top tier service. And I've had hotel assitants bring the food to my room in chinese hotels that costs less than half the price of this one. Besides that, the hotel looked nice, and the room was good. The location is not really great if you plan to walk anywhere, but with a taxi it's acceptable. The view is pretty good if your room is facing south. Facing north (even with river view) it's not that spectacular.

What a pleasant surprise! As an EV owner, this Four Points by Sheraton is a must-stay. Both the service and facilities were top-notch and completely exceeded my expectations! The front desk staff were professional and attentive, handling my check-in efficiently. They proactively asked about my needs and patiently recommended local attractions and authentic eateries. They even thoughtfully offered complimentary welcome fruit, and their warm smiles instantly melted away my travel fatigue. As someone who travels by electric vehicle, what I appreciated most were the hotel's charging stations. They were clearly marked, charged quickly, and were easy to use. Charging overnight was a breeze, and parking was convenient, completely eliminating any range anxiety. The room was clean and comfortable, with soft bedding, and you could tell they paid attention to the details. With such warm service, worry-free charging, and excellent value for money, this hotel has definitely made it onto my list of must-stay places for future trips. I'll definitely be back!

The hotel is very close to the iconic gate, but on the quieter side, near the river, making for a very peaceful environment. I think they upgraded our room, as it was very clean and spacious, with a balcony offering lovely views of the river at night. The front desk staff was super friendly; as soon as we arrived, he helped us map out an itinerary, which was very helpful. Plus, the breakfast was delicious and very satisfying before heading into the scenic area~ P.S. There are so many foreigners at this hotel, it feels like more than half the guests are international!

Great stay overall! The room was excellent—very spacious and clean, with powerful air conditioning. The bathroom was also impressive, featuring a large shower and a modern electronic toilet with a heated seat. The 24-hour gym was nice and had all the basic equipment, including a cable machine, plus a great view from the 17th floor. There’s also a convenient 24-hour laundry room with dryers available. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of options. Special thanks to Tang and Dylan at reception for their kindness and helpful service!

We had a wonderful stay at Foggy Valley. Our host, Mr. Hu, was incredibly warm and friendly. From check-in to departure, he was always helpful and made us feel very welcome. The guesthouse is conveniently located very close to the East Gate (main entrance) of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, making it a great place to stay if you are visiting Zhangjiajie. One evening we had dinner at the guesthouse and it was a delicious meal - a great opportunity to try local cuisine. The staff also kindly arranged transportation for us, picking us up from the train station and later dropping us off at the airport, which made our trip very smooth. The overall atmosphere of the guesthouse is warm and relaxing. Our room felt like a cozy cabin in the woods, which made the stay even more special. Highly recommended if you are visiting Zhangjiajie.
