Hotel near Perimeter of Haikou Airport/Mission Hill/East Coast,Haikou

This is my second stay at the Meilan Airport Hotel. I checked in a night early from Lingshui because I had an early morning flight from Haikou to Singapore. **Service:** The hotel's airport shuttle starts at 4:30 AM. I took the 5 AM shuttle to T2, which was very convenient. My 7:30 AM flight meant I didn't have to rush to the airport too early. **Environment:** The hotel has many rooms and a 'U' shaped corridor. The room I got was a good distance from the elevator. It's also not far to walk to the high-speed train station, about a 10-minute walk. If you arrive late at night, some guests can be quite loud and inconsiderate, making it a bit noisy. **Cleanliness:** It was quite clean, with disposable slippers and separate slippers for the shower. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, and bottled toiletries are provided, so you don't need to bring your own. **Facilities:** Bottled water is provided, and you can choose your pillow. The bed's firmness was just right. For an overnight stay near the airport, this is my top choice. In the morning, I checked out early and, in my haste, left my phone charger in the room. I only realized I'd forgotten it at airport security. I called the hotel front desk, and they kindly held onto it for me. I picked it up when I returned from Singapore. Many thanks to them!

MMaotaikun 2026.03.18
February 21, 2026 – Stayed in a Sea View Family Room During our Spring Festival trip to the western side of Hainan, Ocean Flower Island was a crucial stop. We planned a two-night stay and, for convenience, chose the highly acclaimed Oubao Hotel on the island. 1. **Parking:** If you're driving, you can directly access the island and navigate to the Oubao Hotel. There's an underground parking lot, and if it's full, staff can direct you to other nearby parking areas. For those leaving the island, you can register at the front desk in advance to enjoy free parking. 2. **Hotel:** The hotel is massive in scale. The majestic lion sculptures and fountain outside the main entrance are grand, especially at night with the interwoven lighting, it feels like entering another world. It boasts the most single-unit guest rooms in Asia, composed of four interconnected Y-shaped European castles, each with a unique natural theme: forest, ocean, castle, and glacier. Our room was in the Glacier Castle, with corridors and rooms featuring a blue and white palette and abundant glacier and animal elements. The ground floors of the four castles connect to form the hotel lobby and check-in area. The space is vast, with a cathedral-like glass dome ceiling. In the center below, there was a festive New Year display, a vibrant and joyful scene. On one side of the lobby, two grand, symmetrical spiral staircases descend from the second floor, one white and one red, both adorned with flowers, creating a noble and elegant photo spot. The lobby has four exits, each leading to a different castle. After checking in at the front desk, you choose your path based on your room. Each castle has over ten elevators. The entire process left me with one impression: grandness! 3. **Room:** Both the main room and the bathroom were very spacious. It had one large bed and one smaller bed; the small bed, shaped like a train engine, was a nice touch, and the bedding was comfortable. The room's decor and configuration were quite simple and standard, but the glacier theme, with polar bear and penguin elements everywhere, added a refreshing touch. The shower was good, and it was quite rare that the shower enclosure hardly leaked. The window faced the sea, but there was a garden green belt between the castles, so the sea was distant and not a spectacular, unobstructed view. However, we were lucky enough to catch the sunset on our check-in day. The afterglow of the sunset painted the sea, fishing boats, bridge, and villa complex in our view a beautiful reddish hue. This combination and visual experience were stunning and definitely a plus. 4. **Breakfast:** The breakfast restaurant had palace-like high ceilings and space, arranged in a long strip, which made the food retrieval path a bit inefficient. The dishes were abundant and diverse, with local specialties. During our two-day stay, we sampled Hainan Yi noodles, Hou'an noodles, coffee cake, coconut cake, pumpkin cake, and other local delicacies. My elder child loved the Hou'an noodles so much she had two bowls every morning. The dessert selection was also very rich. 5. **Other Facilities and Offers:** During our two-day stay, we experienced the following: On the first evening, we attended a music festival and firework show at the Guanhai Park, with discounted tickets for hotel guests. There's a free bus shuttle near the hotel entrance that goes to places like the Ocean Park and the Fitness Center. We took this shuttle on the second day to swim at the Fitness Center. The hotel's own pool was unavailable, but we could use the Fitness Center's pool for free. It's a standard 50-meter lap pool, and it was my first time experiencing such a pool. There's also a mini-train station on the island not far from the hotel entrance, but we didn't use it. 6. **Service:** All the staff we encountered were very responsible and professional, indicating a high level of overall training. In summary, it was a truly perfect stay, making it a top choice for accommodation when visiting Ocean Flower Island. Besides meeting basic needs for food, entertainment, and lodging, it also offered a sense of grandeur that is quite rare.

After our trip to Shimei Bay, we arrived at the hotel with my entire family, including young children and elderly parents, along with several large suitcases. We were understandably quite tired from the journey. Upon arrival, it was clear that the hotel had a significant shortage of staff both inside and outside the lobby – a stark contrast to Shimei Bay, where service personnel were readily available everywhere. Although there weren't many guests checking in at the time, and the scene wasn't particularly busy, given our large group and numerous bags, I had to proactively request a luggage cart to make things easier. For a resort hotel that prides itself on the guest experience, the initial service response would be much better if it were more proactive and if staffing levels were more adequate. Regarding the room, the promotional pictures I saw when booking showed a sea-facing view with a visible beach. However, the actual view from our room was quite different from what we expected. While we could see the sea in the distance, our primary view was of the hotel's pool area, and the beach wasn't visible at all. The visual impression didn't match the promotional images. During the Chinese New Year period, the hotel organized various activities, some free and some with a charge, which is understandable. However, it was quite surprising to find that even digging for sand crabs on the public beach area required an additional fee. Compared to the hotel we stayed at previously in Shimei Bay, the activity planning here was indeed a bit lackluster. On the bright side, the breakfast was excellent. There was a rich variety of options, especially the Pandan Tofu Pudding, Pandan Pancakes, and various Hainan noodles. These were not only distinctive but also delicious, adding a wonderful culinary delight to our mornings. What truly impressed us was the mature food scene around the hotel. From Coconut Chicken, Wenchang Chicken, Ding'an Jumping Beef (which can be hotpot or BBQ), Baoluo Noodles, Hainan Noodles, to all sorts of desserts and snacks – the choices were incredibly diverse. This added a lot of local flavor and memorable gastronomic experiences to our trip. The hotel's beach area itself was quite good. The sea breeze, sand quality, and the overall experience were very relaxing and comfortable.

Facilities: The facilities are relatively new. My only complaint is that the twin room's bathroom has a glass wall that can't be fully obscured. Environment: Quite quiet. Service: The front desk staff were very polite and their service was excellent! The hotel's breakfast standard is also very high, with a wide variety of food! The hotel has an underground parking garage.

Facilities: The facilities are quite comprehensive, with a swimming pool and a water park. The kids had a blast, and the staff were very responsible, helping to look after them. If you need to leave for a short time, you can ask the water park staff to watch your children, and they do a great job. However, I couldn't find a self-service laundry area, so if you're staying for an extended period, you'll need to figure out your own laundry. There are very few charging stations; only a few above ground, and the underground parking only has dedicated Tesla chargers. The staff weren't very clear on this; we circled around several times without finding any, and only after asking customer service were we told there weren't any. Later, needing to charge urgently, we had to go to Dajiao Park for a fast charge. The hotel has a restaurant, and the prices are reasonable. You can also go to Changhua Town to eat; there's a small shop there that serves more than just noodles, and their dishes are delicious. The owner is very welcoming, and things aren't expensive. They even have my favorite pea and minced pork noodles. Environment: The environment is great, the scenery is beautiful, and it's very close to the beach, perfect for clamming. Hygiene: Clean and tidy, and trash was promptly removed. The day before, the breakfast had pancakes, and they had made a lot. A guest saw a fly land on them, so the staff threw them all into the trash. The next day, there was a chef making them fresh on the spot, so hygiene is definitely assured. Service: If you need anything, you can contact the front desk, and a service staff member will respond quickly. We brought our child and requested extra blankets and drinking water, which were all delivered for free. There's a third-party photographer, but their skill level is very average. Just take the complimentary photos; don't choose extra photos for fine-tuning, as they look like fake Photoshop jobs. Their skill really isn't good.

The night view was absolutely stunning! The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, and the bedding was so soft. There was plenty of space on the vanity, and the toiletries smelled lovely. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. I accidentally left something behind when checking out, and the front desk immediately called us to let us know – they were so efficient and on top of it. I'd definitely choose this hotel again!

Seems to be the hotel is ready to be renovated. Room was very clean. Staff gave all necessary information. But… we arrived by taxi from Baisha, and supposed to be taken to Baoting as a next destination. To call a taxi to the hotel took around one hour. Yes, we got some help, but is was mostly “talking”, not actual actions to be taken. No hotel’s car are available. So, plan how you are going to get out from this place in advance.

The service at Sofitel Haikou is exceptionally thoughtful and truly made me feel welcome. Check-in was efficient and seamless, and the staff were gentle and polite. I accidentally knocked over a glass of water one evening, and after calling the front desk, a staff member quickly came to help clean up. They even proactively brought extra towels and warm water, showing great patience and meticulousness throughout, without the slightest hint of annoyance. The overall service was attentive without being overbearing, making for a secure and comfortable stay. I am very satisfied.

GGuest UserWe had a few issues at first, but after some communication and coordination, everything was resolved wonderfully. They even upgraded us to a Red-crowned Crane room type, allowing both families to stay together, which made us very happy with the outcome. First, let's talk about the hotel's advantages: 1. The restaurant is fantastic, with an excellent view. While the food selection isn't vast, the quality is top-notch. I tend to have high standards for hotel breakfast, and considering both the ambiance and quality here, I was very satisfied. 2. The shuttle service is incredibly responsive. The hotel feels like it's spread across the entire mountain, so you rely on the shuttles to get around. They're fast and comfortable. 3. The room views are superb, and the rooms are very clean. The mini-fridge is complimentary, and the amenities are comprehensive. It would be even better if the drinking water wasn't Nongfu Spring. Here are a few suggestions: The gathering areas need some maintenance; I noticed some broken stair treads. Since the hotel is quite spread out, there should be more staff to ensure service. Also, better communication between housekeeping and the front desk could prevent many information delays. And honestly, the glass skywalk was a total rip-off – it was scorching hot and exhausting to walk on. You can skip these attractions and just enjoy the hotel itself.

SSeven。~I was a bit worried before booking this hotel, as the pictures made it look quite old. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. First, as soon as our car pulled up to the hotel entrance, a doorman immediately came over to open the car door and help with our luggage. The same happened when we checked out and were waiting for our car; the doorman promptly opened the door and assisted with our bags. Check-in was also quick and efficient, with no delays. We booked two different room types to experience them both, and they were both quite good. My kids absolutely loved the bunk beds, and having a small courtyard meant they weren't cooped up in the room. Later, we switched to a pool-access room, which was even more fun. It was a little damp, but that's to be expected in a coastal city, and it might also be because I didn't turn on the air conditioning much, fearing my kids would catch a cold. The hotel management must be excellent; every staff member we encountered greeted us warmly. The breakfast was superb with a wide variety of options. A special shout-out to Holly, the manager. She followed up on everything from check-in, always ready to assist. When I requested to switch to the West Wing, she quickly helped me arrange it and even packed my luggage, including my underwear! Most importantly, on my daughter's birthday (our check-out day), Holly, fearing she wouldn't have enough time, decorated our room the day before. In the evening, she brought a small cake, and even while on her day off, she messaged me to ask about our itinerary. She's truly a wonderful young lady with incredible work ability for her age – thumbs up! 😄👍🏻 I will definitely stay at Yalong Bay Mangrove Tree Resort World again next time; it was a memorable experience. However, I do have one complaint. When our kids wanted to go to the kids' club, we forgot their socks. They charged 10 RMB for a pair of socks inside – seriously, for what kind of socks? My goodness! We ended up going back to the room to get socks, and then waited over 10 minutes for a car that never came. It took nearly an hour to finally get into the kids' club, in the scorching heat! And the kids only played for a little while before leaving. Was it really worth all that hassle? The staff there also weren't very welcoming to the kids; they had a stern look, and my children were hesitant to ask them for help with the activities. In this regard, I have to praise Tiancheng Belmont Hotel; they directly provide two pairs of anti-slip socks when you go to their kids' club, and you can enter an unlimited number of times every day. So, there are pros and cons overall. Oh, and by the way, if you're going to put up signs in English, please make sure they're accurate. It should be ”watch your step,” especially with so many international guests. 😓

TTaiheyuanzhangguideThis stay exceeded my expectations. The service was incredibly attentive and thoughtful, and the staff were warm and accommodating, always responding promptly to our needs, which made us feel very comfortable. The resort has abundant greenery, with beautiful scenery at every turn; the well-arranged plants make strolling through the grounds truly delightful. The facilities are complete and well-maintained, the common areas are clean and tidy, and the rooms are cozy and practical. The sea view is expansive and unobstructed, offering stunning vistas of the blue sea and sky. The hotel's location is excellent, making travel convenient, and the surrounding environment is quiet – a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, perfect for a relaxing getaway. I highly recommend it; this will definitely be my top choice again next time!

GGuest UserStaying at the InterContinental Haitang Bay was an absolute delight! The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the Duty-Free Shopping Mall, making shopping incredibly convenient. Our 88㎡ sea-view room was spacious and airy, with a balcony directly overlooking the beautiful ocean – watching the sunrise and sunset from there was so therapeutic. The Dyson hairdryer, BYREDO toiletries, and a huge bathtub show an incredible attention to detail. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive. They proactively communicated before our arrival, the concierge enthusiastically helped with our luggage, and housekeeping was meticulous. The pool, kids' club, and mini-train mean it's well-equipped for families, and the beach is clean and soft. Breakfast was extensive, with delicious Hainan noodles and seafood congee. In the afternoon, we relaxed at the executive lounge, enjoying expertly crafted cocktails and the sea breeze, letting all our fatigue melt away! Our entire stay was a perfect 10/10 experience. This is definitely our top choice for a vacation in Haitang Bay; we'll be back again! (Would you like me to write another 200-word review with a more family, couple, or business focus?)

GGuest UserA perfect family-friendly hotel with incredible value for money! A huge thank you to our butler Krystal for all the arrangements! 1. **Check-in:** We cleverly avoided the Qingming Festival rush. Booked a Club Lounge package through Ctrip, and the price was fantastic – no surcharge, what a steal! 2. **Room:** The sofa bed converts into a double bed, making it perfect for 2 adults and 2 children – plenty of space! It was like having two king-sized beds, no need to squeeze together. Our butler had already added us on WeChat, so we checked in promptly at 3 PM and even got an upgrade to a sea-view room on a higher floor, close to the elevator – brilliant! 3. **Food:** Breakfast could be enjoyed either in the main building or the Club Lounge. The main building offered more variety but was busier, while the Club Lounge was more refined. My husband loved the Roujiamo (Chinese hamburger), and we also enjoyed jackfruit, pineapple, star fruit, and diced blueberries and strawberries. Afternoon tea included cakes and coffee. Dinner, served at 4:30 PM, featured five or six hot dishes, fried noodles, fruit cake, and coconut cooling soup. Eating brunch and then afternoon tea/early dinner was enough for the whole day! We didn't even need to order takeout once. 4. **Kids' Activities:** So many activities! * **Daytime:** When it was hot, we went to the Adventure Park (our butler gave us free tickets, yay!). There was complimentary face painting (the little princesses loved it!), and they could even change into princess dresses. Younger kids could play with building blocks, magnetic tiles, and a piano. Outdoors, there was a petting zoo, a zip line, and free mini-train rides (note the operating hours, not all day). The large lawn had hammocks, swings, canopies, and beanbag chairs. You could even climb coconut trees. There were also morning outdoor activities like frisbee and ball games. * **Evening:** After dinner at 5 PM, we headed to the pool for a bubble party. The heated, circular pool was perfect for swimming, and there was a massage pool. Lying in the pool, watching the clouds drift by, was incredibly relaxing! There weren't many swim rings available, though. * **Nighttime:** In the carnival area, there was go-karting, movies, trampolines, beanbag toss, and archery. There were also many classes, but we simply didn't have time to join any. 5. **Beach:** The beach just outside the hotel was very clean. It was just too hot and sunny, with no shade for sand play and no private umbrellas. But the sand itself was lovely and not dirty at all. We participated in a free crab-catching activity one evening, though it was quite challenging to catch any. 6. **Birthday Celebration:** Coincidentally, it was my birthday, and the butler surprised us with a small cake – thank you, Krystal! 7. **Travel Photography:** This time, we had photos taken of both the garden and sea views. The beach photographer also helped us out, as we simply couldn't capture the same effect ourselves. We stayed for five days and four nights, and I really miss those wonderful days of endless food and fun! We definitely felt like we could have stayed longer!

GGuest UserThe room was spacious with a partial sea view, and honestly, my stay here was even better than the luxury family room with a full sea view at Tianyu, which cost over 3000 more per night. Tianyu was incredibly chaotic and overcrowded, just a heads-up! There were even some inflatable rings left by the pool for guests to use, so no need to rent or buy, and the lifeguards were very diligent. A special shout-out to our butler, Tudou – their service was absolutely phenomenal. Unlike the butlers I had at Tianyu and Atlantis who rarely initiated contact, Tudou was proactively communicative from before check-in all the way until we left. I was extremely satisfied! The beach, though small, was lovely and well-maintained. The evening beach buffet was quite fun, and the performers were really nice and happy to take photos, which made my kids very happy.

Hhuren24greatAtlantis Sanya truly lives up to its landmark status! The aquarium in the lobby is stunning, check-in was incredibly fast, and the staff were super enthusiastic 💦 The sea-view room faces the ocean directly, with coconut groves and crashing waves right outside the window. Breakfast offers a fantastic variety, and the freshly made Hainan noodles are amazing! I didn't want to leave, and I'll definitely be back ✨ Spent three days lounging at Atlantis, with the blue of the South China Sea right outside my window 🌊 Woke up to the sound of waves every day, with whale sharks swimming past the window in the aquarium – you can even watch the fish while you eat. The service was thoughtful yet unobtrusive, completely fulfilling my dream of an island getaway. Worth revisiting 💙 Staying here with kids exceeded my expectations! The water park has enough activities for a whole day, and my little one spent the entire afternoon watching fish at The Lost Chambers Aquarium 👶 The room was clean and spacious, the toiletries smelled lovely, and they even delivered takeout right to our door. The value for money is actually higher than I expected – highly recommend for families with kids 👍 They even gave us a small gift, a 'little conch', when we checked out!
