The room was absolutely fantastic – clean, tidy, and incredibly comfortable. It was spacious and bright. The front desk service was also excellent. I chose to stay here the night before an early morning flight, and they not only upgraded me to a deluxe room for free but also provided a fast pass. Check-out was super convenient, making it perfect for anyone catching an early flight or needing a place to rest before departure. The main highlight is the easy check-out process, and you can get directly to Meilan Terminal 1 from the second floor in less than 5 minutes. The hotel is also connected to an outlet mall, so dining, entertainment, and shopping are all very convenient.

This hotel is great, it's my second time here. Soon after checking in, a butler contacted me and sent me information about the hotel's activities and specific schedules for kids' programs. They also provided very detailed information on transportation and things to do on the island, which saved us a lot of hassle. Special requests were also promptly and well-responded to. The service this time was even better than my first visit. I'll definitely contact Butler Jinjing again when I go back. [rose][rose] However, regarding the facilities, the big slide behind the hotel was out of order, and the children's activity area has shrunk. I hope they'll reopen it in the future.

Our butler, Lulu, messaged us on WeChat beforehand to ask what we needed, and her replies were always super prompt – excellent service! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The hotel pool water wasn't very clean; hope they can pay more attention to that in the future. Parking was quite tight, and breakfast wasn't really worth the price. At checkout, the doorman didn't help with our luggage, making the elderly guests carry their own bags to the car. This was the first time I've ever seen such service.

This is my first time writing a review so diligently, every word is carefully chosen. 1️⃣ **About the Butler:** Our butler seemed to be a recent graduate, very patient, no complaints at all, highly recommend. 2️⃣ **About the Room:** When I stayed here in 2018, the rooms were already a bit old. The kids' play area back then wasn't clean and had a musty smell, so I didn't have high expectations for the room this time, and thus wasn't disappointed. Although it was old, it was reasonably clean. 3️⃣ **Outdoor Pool Facilities:** We mainly came for the pool. I believe the heated pool is why many guests choose MGM. However, this is where the unpleasant incident happened. My child was swimming in the pool and got cut on the edge of the lowest step in the heated pool, which unfortunately cut short our Sanya trip. My son is quite resilient, so a small cut isn't a huge deal, but he came specifically for the pool and then couldn't enjoy the water due to the injury, which was quite disheartening. Now, let me talk about how the hotel staff handled it. 4️⃣ **Hotel's Problem-Solving Process:** First, a lifeguard brought disinfectant, then reported it to a duty manager. The duty manager arrived and, as a matter of routine, asked if we wanted to go to the hospital. This was the first step (likely a procedural requirement). Step two: they began to appease us. a: They offered a complimentary dinner buffet for one adult and one child (looking back, the restaurant wasn't good, understaffed, and the ingredients were mediocre. I now understand why they offered this particular restaurant – because it's a buffet, an extra person or two doesn't make a difference. My child and I don't eat much anyway, and given how unappetizing it was, we barely had a few bites). b: They gave us two small lion plushies. When I came in 2018, these plushies were standard in every room. Now, they're something you have to ask for. I had already mentioned it to the front desk during check-in, saying I wanted a lion plushie to take a similar photo (photo attached later), and also mentioned it to our butler. They both said they'd help apply, and they did give them to us. So, getting two more plushies here wasn't exactly special, as anyone can get these gifts. This 'comfort' gift really lacked sincerity. c: They offered to arrange a car to the airport. This is what upset me the most. They booked the cheapest car through Cao Cao出行 (a ride-hailing service), presumably using points or something for a free upgrade. I assumed it was a hotel-coordinated vehicle, so I immediately said no, I'd book my own car. I was with my child, and I didn't feel safe taking a random car. This concluded our communication the night before. On the morning of the second day, only my butler was still following up on the matter. The duty manager didn't contact me until I sought him out. He later said he would switch to a hotel car for me. Even until I left, the manager never appeared. Later, he stopped replying to my messages. It was the butler who saw me off. I'm tired of writing and don't want to elaborate further. In summary, my child wasn't seriously hurt, but I felt incredibly frustrated and wasn't given the emotional support I expected. It felt cold. I came back for the sentiment, but I probably won't return. Photo 1 is from this trip, Photo 2 is from 2018, and Photo 3 shows my child's injured toe this time – the cut was a bit deep and bled quite a bit.

Fantastic! The views are absolutely stunning, and the hotel lobby is grand and luxurious with top-notch facilities. Our room was spotless and tidy, and the indoor pool was clean and comfortable. The beach was also clean with fine sand. Our butler, Mile, was exceptional! She proactively contacted me the day before check-in to inform us about the hotel's complimentary services and reminded us to make reservations. On the day of arrival, she personally escorted us to our room. Throughout our stay, no matter what we needed, she was always quick to assist, providing us with a truly wonderful experience. The hotel is impeccable in every aspect. We even decided to extend our stay for another day, and despite limited room availability, Mile managed to arrange for us to stay in our original room. We are truly grateful!

This guesthouse is absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous environment, probably the best in town. The room directly faces the azure sea, making it the closest I've ever stayed to the ocean. It's clean, with modern and complete facilities, and the service is warm and attentive. It's located in a very quiet part of Tianya Town, close to the hustle and bustle but still offering a private, tranquil escape – both convenient and relaxing. There are many charming coffee shops nearby where you could easily spend an entire day. It's also very close to the beach, which is incredibly convenient when traveling with kids. Plus, the guesthouse has its own beautiful pool that perfectly complements the blue sky and sea – so incredibly comfortable!

Phoenix Island Resort & Hotel truly embodies a relaxed vacation vibe. You can watch the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening, seeing boats crisscrossing the sea and hearing cruise ship horns. Sleep in until you naturally wake up, then head to the restaurant where breakfast is served until noon for a delicious meal. The hotel's green spaces and swings are popular spots for visitors to take photos. Lying on a sun lounger by the pool, feeling the sea breeze – it's pure bliss! 😊 Every time we visit, the front desk attendant, Xiao Ying, is so warm and thoughtful, arranging our room and offering welcome snacks. If we ask for extra water bottles in the room, they're delivered quickly. Compared to more stingy hotels, this really puts us at ease. Although we've stayed many times, there are still so many parts of the hotel we haven't experienced, so we'll definitely be back for more! 😀

An unparalleled experience! The hotel was grand in every aspect, making us feel right at home. We booked a Royal Club King Room, and it came with a complimentary afternoon tea upgrade. Since we missed the evening 'Sweet Hour', the butler, a lovely and kind young lady, graciously offered us afternoon tea for the following day instead. She was incredibly thoughtful and meticulous, providing us with all the necessary timings and important tips. **Facilities:** The TV felt a bit small for a Royal Club room. **Cleanliness:** Exceptionally clean. The bathtub didn't even need a liner, and the bath towels and hand towels were all very soft. The hotel provided two large and one small blue pool slippers, plus two large and one small white disposable slippers. **Service:** After our first swim, the bathrobes got completely soaked. The hotel promptly provided two extra sets, which was very efficient. **Location:** It's in a prime spot in Haitang Bay, about 1.8 kilometers from the CDF Duty-Free City.

I stayed here because I had an early flight, and the experience was fantastic! The hotel's location is unbeatable, just a few minutes' drive from the airport. The 24-hour shuttle service was incredibly prompt, and the driver was very friendly. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. Despite being close to the airport, the soundproofing was excellent; I barely heard any airplane noise and had a peaceful night's sleep. The front desk service was professional and efficient. They proactively asked about my flight time and reminded me about the shuttle. While the breakfast didn't have a huge variety, the quality was good, especially the Hainanese noodle soup, which tasted very authentic. It was really satisfying to have a hot meal before catching my flight. Highly recommended! This is definitely the top choice for travelers with layovers or early morning flights. I'll be back again!

CChaseCaicaiThe Eagle's Nest, their top-selling room, is a must-try! We stayed in room 2001, and the view was incredible, right by the Heavenly Lake. You can even see the 'trial marriage' room (not a show flat) at 9999 from a distance. The room layout was exactly as pictured online. To sum up, the Swan Suite is the closest to the restaurant, so it's a quick walk to eat. The Cloud Roc suites are at the highest elevation, but they're guest rooms, so they're not as popular. Other room types are spread across different peaks. The hotel is 3km from Yalong Bay Night Market and Baihua Night Market. The Liupan Night Market at the foot of the mountain is also quite affordable. A big thank you to Manager Sun for specially arranging a fruit platter for us!

GGuest UserOverall, I'm quite satisfied. Our butler, Holly, added me on WeChat in advance and guided us through the hotel itinerary. The service was prompt and excellent. The hotel environment is beautiful, completely surrounded by bougainvillea, which is absolutely stunning. It's also a great spot for photos. The best part is that there's a night market right next to the hotel, and my kids absolutely loved the grilled scallops, eating six in one go! A short walk of a few minutes takes you to Yalong Bay Beach, which is super convenient. The hotel pool has a children's section, but the weather was a bit chilly, so we didn't spend much time there. I won't upload the photos since they're mostly of people, but the environment is truly beautiful.

AAnonymous UserHaving stayed in numerous luxury hotels for over 30 years and with a background in hotel management myself, this is the first time I've ever given a hotel a bad review! The reason for the low rating isn't the service; overall, the service was quite good. I'm especially grateful to the butler, who was always responsive and provided excellent service – 100 points for them. However, during my stay, I noticed a recurring issue: when you ask a passing hotel staff member for a small favor, like a pair of chopsticks or a plate change, they might be a middle manager who doesn't directly handle such tasks, or perhaps they're just passing by on their way to something else. They'd reply, 'Okay, just a moment,' and then walk off. Some would eventually return to fulfill the request, others would get busy and never come back. Honestly, a guest's request should simply be met with 'Okay!' and then completed within ten seconds, no 'just a moment' needed. Now, for the reasons behind the bad review, which I've been holding in for days: 1. The constant 'thump-thump-thump' of helicopters flying back and forth all day, ferrying guests. The noise was maddening. 2. The kids in the downstairs pool were noisy, and the hotel staff organizing their activities even wore megaphones, shouting constantly. 3. The newly built duty-free shop was right next door, adding construction noise and dust flying everywhere! 4. It's peak season, so I understand that rooms are in demand and upgrades aren't available. But after so many years of staying in hotels and being a member, they absolutely refused a 2 PM late checkout, insisting on 1 PM. 5. The breakfast was very mediocre, I don't know why it has so many good reviews. I've stayed at several hotels in Haitang Bay, and this breakfast was subpar. It was all chicken, no fish, no beef, no Hainanese green beans, and the same exact menu every day. 6. The buffet at the 'Skyline' restaurant was an absolute joke. The food was worse than street food. 7. The Häagen-Dazs afternoon dessert at the lobby bar was also a joke; it was unusually bad.

LLuoliyue92I recently stayed at the Shangri-La Sanya for 4 nights with my parents and child, and everyone absolutely loved it! This hotel is definitely a hidden gem for a family vacation. 📍 **Excellent Location:** It's super close to the beach, and some rooms even offer direct sea views. It's only a 10-minute drive to the Sanya International Duty-Free Shopping Complex, which is incredibly convenient for those who love to shop. Wuzhizhou Island pier is also not far, making it easy to hail a taxi. 🛏️ **Room Experience:** Since I was traveling with my parents and child, I opted for the Horizon Club. The Horizon Club offers access to an executive lounge with not only breakfast but also afternoon tea and dinner, which was incredibly convenient. The room itself was spacious and bright, and the balcony offered stunning sea views. The room was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully equipped with children's toiletries and a children's step stool. There's also a sofa bed in the room, which you can ask the butler to set up in advance – perfect for a family of four. 🍽️ **Satisfying Dining:** The main restaurant's breakfast spread was incredibly rich with a huge variety of options, including freshly squeezed watermelon and cantaloupe juice. To my surprise, there was even a dedicated kids' area! It offered not only dishes suitable for children like wontons, congee, pasta, steamed buns, and fried snacks, but also finely cut fruits and vegetables, showing great consideration for little ones. My child absolutely loved it. The Horizon Club executive lounge was also fantastic. Besides afternoon tea, they have an evening happy hour with different hot dishes each day. They also offered non-spicy vegetable and meat dishes, as well as fried noodles and rice, suitable for children. Everything tasted great. 🎪 **Abundant Children's Activities:** There are tons of parent-child activities every day, along with unlimited free rides on the mini-train. We participated in a dragon fruit sushi-making class, which was a wonderful experience, and my child had an absolute blast. The hotel also has an adventure zone, a petting zoo, and you can even ride ponies and ostriches, which the kids really enjoyed. The water park is also large and clean. Unfortunately, it was a bit chilly when we visited, so we didn't go in, but it would be perfect for warmer weather. 💫 **Five-Star Service:** The hotel service was absolutely superb. Romy checked us in, and she was incredibly kind. She helped us resolve a breakfast issue and personally escorted us to the shuttle bus stop after check-in. Our luggage was also delivered directly to our room by a dedicated staff member – super nice. This vacation was incredibly satisfying, and I will definitely choose Shangri-La again the next time I visit Sanya!

GGuest UserWhat truly stood out was how genuine and respectful every staff member was, from the concierge to housekeeping. Their smiles and greetings felt sincere, and when they offered help, it was always with a collaborative, never condescending, attitude. This interaction, built on mutual respect, gave guests a comforting sense of partnership rather than the usual distance of being 'served.' As I checked out, I realized this is perhaps the pinnacle of true guest relations service: it begins with keen observation, is perfected through thoughtful action, and ultimately blossoms into the delightful anticipation of a future reunion between people. This hotel made me feel not just like a transient guest, but a genuinely welcomed friend.

SSophy0000Our stay at JW Marriott turned out to be a truly unforgettable and deeply touching experience. During our stay, it happened to be our baby’s second birthday. Sharry prepared a birthday surprise for us that went far beyond anything we expected. It was not just a simple room decoration, but a genuine celebration of a child’s growth, done with real care and heart. The room was beautifully decorated, but what moved me the most was this: almost all hotel staff personally wrote handwritten birthday wishes for our baby, folded each note into a heart, and placed them together in a glass bottle. Seeing that bottle filled with so many handwritten messages from different people was incredibly touching. It wasn’t just five-star service — it was warmth, sincerity, and human connection. What made this experience even more special was that Sharry learned we had stayed at JW Marriott Khao Lak, Thailand, in October last year, and that our wonderful experience there was the reason we chose the JW Marriott brand again. After hearing this, she went the extra mile and coordinated with the team in Thailand to record a birthday greeting video for our daughter. Receiving birthday wishes months later from familiar faces we had met before, from another country, was incredibly emotional and meaningful for us. It truly showed a level of care and connection that is very rare. The hotel also prepared a birthday cake for our baby, and the next day surprised us again with a lovely animal-themed cake. The care didn’t stop at one moment; it continued throughout our stay. In addition, our room was upgraded, and during the entire stay, Sharry checked in with us daily about our experience, always attentive but never intrusive. This kind of thoughtful, genuine service made us feel truly valued and well taken care of. Objective feedback: • The sound insulation of the room door is not very strong, and corridor noise can be noticeable • Breakfast is average, without many highlights • It would be great if the breakfast area could include clear allergen labeling, which would be very helpful for guests with food allergies • The hotel feels more business-oriented and mature in style, and the overall resort atmosphere is not particularly strong Overall, this is a hotel with solid facilities and exceptionally warm, thoughtful service. The sincere, unrequested, and carefully executed details made this stay truly special and memorable.

SSnnieThe hotel boasts comprehensive facilities, including a coconut grove garden, a beach, swimming pools, restaurants and bars, and a pet park... you really need to stay for several days to fully enjoy everything! The location is very convenient; it's a 10-minute walk to Haitang Bay 68 Food Street, which has chains like Pizza Hut, KFC, and Heytea, as well as local specialties. There's also a large supermarket right outside the hotel, making it easy to pick up daily necessities and fruits. There are several swimming pools, a children's water park, and even a heated pool, which is a great feature. You can swim until 10 PM, and it's incredibly pleasant to glide through the water with the evening breeze. Enjoy an immersive pet interaction experience with adorable bunnies, Call ducks, lambs, and even cats you can pet. The bedding is excellent; the duvet is light and soft. We stayed in a super king room with a private pool, and the bed felt huge for two people.

GGuest UserJoyful Camp Kids' Play Area and Water Park: The staff at the indoor kids' play area were incredibly friendly and approachable, much more so than at many professional children's playgrounds. Although the outdoor kids' play area was a bit chilly (despite being advertised as constant temperature, it wasn't too bad), my child had a great time. Heated Pool: The temperature was perfect. At other hotels, I've often felt the pools weren't even 28 degrees, and my child would get cold. Here, it was just right. The Lakeside Western Restaurant is right next to it, and it offers good value for money. We ordered lunch by the pool, and for 400 yuan, there was so much food my child couldn't even finish it. The breakfast was also plentiful, and the room was spacious enough, though the bed was a bit too soft. The service was the biggest highlight! It made up for any shortcomings. Although check-in took quite a while, their attitude was so good and sincere that I really had nothing to complain about. Overall, the value for money is still quite good. Those who love the sight of a large lawn and the sea from the lobby might find the public area design a bit unconventional. All in all, I'd give it five stars!
