Shanghai zhangExtremely satisfied with my Sanya trip experience!
I've been to Sanya probably over 10 times, and this was my first time staying at a hotel not by the sea. It felt quite different.
Overall rating: Worth staying. I'd give it 4.5 stars or more.
1) My favorite part was the heaven cliff pool – the view is unbeatable. Swimming here is simply one of life's greatest pleasures.
2) The hotel's buggy service was incredibly responsive, and the staff's attitude was excellent.
3) During the off-peak season, there weren't many guests, but the breakfast maintained a good standard and wasn't skimped on.
4) The Thai restaurant boasts charming views. Although the prices are a bit on the high side, the mesmerizing scenery and live music make it well worth it.
5) The complimentary tropical rainforest park tour offered by the hotel exceeded my expectations. The guide was enthusiastic and helped with photos.
6) The only thing is that since the hotel is located in a tropical rainforest, insects and geckos are inevitable. I even saw a small snake on the balcony. So, it's crucial to keep doors and windows closed at all times and bring your own mosquito repellent.
7) It's been open for a while, and some rooms are currently undergoing maintenance. Overall, it's well-maintained.

Guest UserDue to noise issues in our previous lake-view family room, we reported it to Gina, who then moved us to a family room in the main building. Overall, this room had lower ceilings and older facilities than the previous one, but it was more spacious. The best part was how quiet it was; after 10 PM, there was virtually no noise outside, which was great for light sleepers. I really appreciate Gina from Guest Services for her attention to detail; she even prepared a small cake for the child, who was thrilled.
The hotel pool's bubble activity is every Tuesday and Thursday at 4:30 PM. My child had so much fun they completely forgot themselves, but then developed a fever that evening. When I asked the hotel for an ear thermometer, they replied that they only had mercury thermometers.
How could an A+ parent-child hotel not have an ear thermometer? While an ear thermometer might not be as accurate as a mercury one, it's difficult to use a mercury thermometer with very young children who might not cooperate. Of course, we usually bring our own ear thermometer when we travel, but there are always unexpected situations, like forgetting it this time.
Service: Most of the restaurant staff, cleaning ladies in public areas, and bellhops at the entrance actively greeted us, and they were all very good.
Getting Around: There's a night market within walking distance of the hotel. The beach is just a left turn out of the hotel and across the road. The hotel can arrange a car to Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park, which was a filming location for 'If You Are the One 2' – just ask the Golden Key concierge in the lobby.
For other places, you generally need to take a taxi. For example, if you want to go to West Island, it's at least a 45-minute taxi ride. If you're staying for three days or less, I honestly recommend just staying at the hotel. Don't venture out too much, or you'll lose the meaning of a vacation and get too tired.
Issues encountered in the room:
1. The most memorable thing was that my child's white socks turned black very quickly after walking on the floor. It seemed the room floor wasn't mopped daily, as I also saw hair near the dining table that hadn't been cleaned up. However, the housekeeping staff were quite considerate; they noticed we needed more water and directly provided 8 bottles. Linens and room consumables were fully replenished after previous guests checked out. But when our extended stay room was cleaned the next day, they took away the child's bathrobe and didn't replace it, nor did they replenish consumables. I had to call later that night to request them. Overall, it was easy to tell that different people were cleaning on different days.
2. There were also some hardware issues, such as the curtain and screen window switches being reversed. The lighting modes were quite unintuitive; for example, there was no night light mode or a mode to only turn on the lights above the bedside table. The shower drain worked better than in the previous room, flowing smoothly without overflowing. However, the hot water in the shower took too long to come out – definitely over ten seconds – so long that I thought hot water wasn't coming out at all.
3. For dining, we only experienced breakfast and the buffet dinner. My child particularly enjoyed the fruit at the buffet dinner and the mermaid show. The food quality overall wasn't particularly outstanding; it was just enough to fill you up, with no dishes leaving a special impression. The photo is of breakfast.
Long after checking out, I realized I had left some items, but I didn't receive any call or feedback from the hotel. Although if they had called, I probably would have said to discard them, I wonder if the current hotel process for lost and found items is to wait for guests to call and inquire, otherwise, they assume it's not wanted and dispose of it?
We experienced the afternoon tea and travel photography included in the package. We didn't go to the DIY activity.

My whole family stayed at the Wanda Realm Sanya Haitang Bay. Our room was spacious with a scenic balcony, and the beach was just a short walk away. The huge swimming pool and kids' club were a lot of fun, and enjoying the coconut groves and ocean views made for a truly relaxing and wonderful family time on the island. The service was also excellent. Check-in at the front desk was very quick, and guest relations manager Linna was very thoughtful and attentive.

Stayed for two nights. First, I want to commend Kaylee, our butler. Her service was excellent, very proactive, and responsive.
The concierge service was great. They were there to open the door and help with luggage as soon as we parked. We were offered welcome leis, but they weren't available when we got out of the car. The lobby didn't have air conditioning and was a bit warm, but it was well-ventilated. Check-in was quite fast, and they provided detailed information. The elevator had AC and was very cool, and our luggage was delivered to the room quickly.
The hallway to the room was too long and outdoors, making it quite hot. However, it looked beautiful once the sun set.
The family room had one king-size bed and one single bed. The mattresses were good, no backaches. The AC worked well and kept the room cool. The shower had great water pressure and consistent temperature. Bottled water was replenished promptly and generously. Room 833 offered a partial sea view and a partial view of the duty-free shop and a new hotel that's still under construction. It wasn't noisy, and the duty-free shop lights looked lovely at night. The only **bug** was the bathtub on the balcony, which made it impossible to take a bath. The room had no musty smell and didn't feel old. There was a huge table, convenient for dining.
We received welcome fruits upon check-in, and the passionfruit was absolutely delicious. A complimentary minibar was provided, with drinks and snacks.
The family pool was a bit basic, without a water playground, but it had free floats and basketballs. There were plenty of lifeguards who helped inflate the floats.
There was a shuttle bus to the beach, and the driver was very friendly and chatty. The beach had lounge chairs, and the sand crab catching activity was excellent and engaging. There wasn't much hawking on the beach, which contributed to a great vacation vibe. Free sand-digging tools were available at the beach.
The kids' club was next to the B1 breakfast restaurant, with activities suitable for younger children. Tree climbing was a lot of fun and came with small prizes. The bubble activities were a hit with all the kids.
You could reach the duty-free shop by crossing the road through a small gate, which closed at 10 PM.
We weren't bitten by mosquitoes at all during our stay, which indicates good pest control – a definite plus.
Breakfast was a bit simple; the variety could be improved. We didn't have to wait for a table even when arriving after 10 AM, and the food was replenished promptly. The Xinglong coffee was good. Eating outdoors was slightly warm but offered views of fish and snorkeling.
The hotel's Chinese restaurant was delicious, delicious, delicious! The hotpot at the Western restaurant was decent, and the ambiance was good. There were plenty of takeout options nearby, but you had to pick them up from the takeout cabinet yourself. The 'Qingbuliang' (Hainanese dessert soup) from room service was good.
It's a shame we didn't go snorkeling. We'll have to come back next time.

HaishuihailanghaiyanThis hotel is very close to the beach and offers a complete entertainment system. You barely need to leave the resort to keep the kids entertained with various activities like swimming (several pools catering to different needs), a kids' club, feeding cute animals, billiards, travel photography, and coconut groves. There's also a buffet, and you can even catch crabs on the beach. Wuzhizhou Island is directly opposite. The kids had a fantastic time!
Our butler, Tudou, was incredibly enthusiastic and proactive with his service. He provided thoughtful reminders every morning and even helped us get an extra breakfast, which we really appreciated!
Just a couple of minor suggestions: it would be great to have hand soap, and if the air conditioning could be a bit gentler, that would be even better. I'm sure the hotel can achieve even greater things.

NichenggeshicuoTo get to your room, you'll need to take the elevator to the 35th-floor transfer lobby. From there, you can also switch to a dedicated elevator for the Executive Lounge on the 57th floor and the Cloud Bar on the 55th floor.
The Cloud Executive Lounge on the 57th floor offers light meals and beverages, perfect for a relaxing getaway.
In the evening, you can head to the Cloud Bar on the 55th floor for a drink and enjoy the live performance.
For the buffet dinner and breakfast, take the guest room elevator from the 35th-floor transfer lobby down to the 33rd floor.
The underground parking garage is a bit confusing, and many of the spaces are in a multi-story car park.

Guest UserSanya Family Trip | JW Marriott Dadonghai Review – So thoughtful it made me cry! 😭
We took a taxi from the Hilton to the Greentown Sanya Dadonghai JW Marriott.
Check-in was smooth at 4 PM.
We booked the 'Stargaze Babies' room, and for families with two kids, it's an absolute no-brainer! 🥳
The layout truly understands parents traveling with children! One king bed + one bunk bed.
The room isn't huge, but it's fully equipped with everything you need.
Kids' amenities and thoughtful details are all in place, making for a very comfortable stay.
In the evening, we discovered a new activity – we went to the pool at the adjacent Autograph Collection hotel.
The evening breeze combined with the sound of the waves created such a wonderful ambiance.
It was super photogenic! 📸 We listened to the waves, watched the live performance, and observed the kids playing in the water – it truly felt like a perfect vacation.
I have to specially praise the incredibly thoughtful and amazing service at JW Marriott!!
Our flight was scheduled for the evening of the second day.
We originally requested a late check-out until 3 PM.
At noon, the hotel proactively contacted us.
Because there were guests checking in later, they thoughtfully asked if we'd be open to switching to a standard room type.
They then extended our check-out to 5 PM for free! 😭
This was truly so considerate! It didn't inconvenience the next guests, and it gave us ample time to rest, shower the kids, and get ready.
Staying during the off-season really brought so many pleasant surprises!
In the afternoon, the kids were full of energy again.
They had a blast playing in the Marriott pool until 4 PM.
Water volleyball was their favorite, and they absolutely didn't want to leave.
By 5 PM, we were packed and ready, concluding our trip perfectly as we took a taxi to the airport ✈️.
The entire experience was seamless, and Marriott's service really won us over.
For families with two kids visiting Sanya, this Dadonghai location is definitely worth it! #SanyaFamilyTrip

Guest UserWe had an unforgettable stay at Atlantis Sanya – so much so that we extended it by another two days; we simply couldn't leave. The massive water park, the aquarium, the atmosphere – everything was top-notch, and our child was absolutely thrilled. A special thank you to our butler, Daria – she was attentive, always available, and anticipated our needs before we even had a chance to ask. Thanks to her, our vacation was completely stress-free. The gym is small, but has everything you need. We will definitely be back!

Check-in was smooth, and I got my room right away. Rose, our butler, was incredibly attentive and proactively recommended sightseeing routes. The room had a fantastic view, perfect for watching the sunrise. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the public areas were beautifully landscaped. The travel photography service was excellent, with great results. The location is superb, right next to a food court and very close to the duty-free shop. I also really liked the fruit store on the first floor; the quality and service were both great.

Guest UserI have to give a huge shout-out to my stay at Sheraton Sanya Yalong Bay this time! The Sheraton Yalong Bay consistently puts guests first, promptly addressing feedback, and providing thoughtful and attentive service, which truly deserves praise. Their service is professional and on-point, efficiently handling guest requests and actively gathering feedback to meticulously enhance the stay experience. I encountered a minor issue during my stay, and the staff proactively contacted me immediately, even adding me on WeChat to follow up on my subsequent experience. The hotel grounds are surrounded by coconut groves, offering beauty beyond just the mountain and sea views, with warm and unobtrusive service that truly nurtures the soul. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, gentle and meticulous hospitality was present throughout. The staff were enthusiastic, considerate, and polite, offering perfectly timed attentive company—neither overbearing nor distant—and meticulously responding to every need. The multiple swimming pools are fantastic for photos. The room was clean and tidy, and the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed was incredibly comfortable. What truly impressed me most was the service: genuine, actively listening to guest suggestions, and diligently relaying them to relevant departments for improvement. It's suitable for both couples on vacation and families traveling with children. I will definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Sanya.
1. Surrounded by coconut groves and the blue sea, Sheraton Sanya Yalong Bay captures the gentleness of the island with its meticulous service.
2. More than just a beachfront view, the thoughtful and attentive service at Sheraton Yalong Bay was the biggest surprise of this trip.
3. I'll be back next year!
