Arrived odd hours at 3am and couldn't figure out how to get to the hotel. As usual the contact for shuttle is only by phone call which is inconvenient for non-China citizens. Luckily able to latch on to others who were headed the same way. The reception could be friendlier but understand it is ungodly hours. Couldn't understand how to receive the hotel voucher and wasn't helped to do so. The hotel room itself was fabulous. Clean and comfortable bed and more than enough supply of drinking water. The bath tub was a plus too! Easy check out.

The hotel is located on Ocean Flower Island, where there are only two hotel options. This is the more affordable one. We could order food to the room easily using the QR code provided. Walking to the nearby food street takes about 20 minutes, but it is easy to get a DiDi ride there instead. We visited in December, and the outdoor swimming pool was closed. There isn’t much to do in the hotel itself, other than taking photos at the nicely decorated main lobby and surrounding areas. The room is uniquely decorated with the Glacier theme and the bed is comfortable. Overall, it’s a reasonable option if you are looking to stay on Ocean Flower Island at a lower cost.

I specifically chose this Hilton hotel because I was going to Wenchang to watch a rocket launch. The value for money was pretty good. If you're going to watch a rocket, make sure you know whether it's a commercial or national launch. Longlou Town and Dongjiao Town will have traffic control, and you'll need a reservation to enter. Commercial launches are in Longlou Town, which is very difficult to book. Although the hotel is a bit further away in Dongjiao, you can still get a distant view of the rocket launching. After booking, a butler called and added me on WeChat, recommending local food, attractions, and hotel facilities, and even arranging pre-booked photo shoots. Butler Lulu knew I was traveling with a child and recommended a family room. The decor was truly special, and there were astronaut suits to try on for photos. There are also many nearby attractions, including the hotel's mini-train, squirrel feeding, and various other fun activities. Although it takes about 5 minutes to walk to the beach, it doesn't diminish my fondness for this hotel. The photo shoot was particularly great. We could select photos immediately after, and the results were beautiful and efficient. Adding an extra photo was only 20, which is good value for money and left us with wonderful memories of our trip.

Checked into MGM Sanya with the kids and it was an absolute blast for them! The kids' club is fully equipped and fantastic. The waffles at the restaurant were delicious, and having a private heated pool (30°C) right outside our door was truly the best – definitely the highlight of our trip. We booked breakfast on the balcony by the pool and also enjoyed a floating afternoon tea in the pool. I even got to try stand-up paddleboarding for an hour, which was incredibly enjoyable. The room decor was cozy, and the bedding was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of bed. Five-star rating, absolutely deserved!

Although the hotel has been open for a while, the facilities and environment are truly exceptional – very clean and tidy. My only minor complaint is that the outdoor pool felt a bit too simple. The breakfast buffet is huge with an incredible variety of dishes. I stayed two days and still couldn't try everything! The Hainan specialty Hou'an noodles were delicious, and so were the Jianbing Guozi (savory crepes). Dinner was also excellent. The Hainan yellow beef was very fresh and the quality was good. The Zao Po Cu (vinegar soup) and spicy soup were appetizing and tasty. There was also a live band performing 🎤. It would have been even more perfect if cocktails 🍹 were available. The Wenchang chicken was very fresh. Service was consistently great. The hotel offers many adult activities, but you definitely need to book them in advance, as it's very difficult to get a spot by booking on the same day. I had a wonderful trip. The hotel had a full itinerary of activities, and the scenery was beautiful. Special thanks to our butler, Mile, for their thoughtful service, including preparing fruit and a small cake. The activity arrangements and bookings were very reliable. 👍

The hotel is really nice, although the rooms are smaller than they appear in the pictures. I would recommend booking a standard room, you still get a nice view. All the attractions in Sanya are quite far from each other, so I suggest checking the map carefully before deciding where to stay. I would probably recommend staying near Dadonghai; the beach there is nicer than the one in Tianya Town. The staff is very kind and helpful. The housekeeper even gave me a ride to a restaurant, and they also helped me order food. They offer a free airport pickup as well.

The Hilton is definitely the best hotel on Ocean Flower Island, and its location is fantastic. There's a gourmet food street nearby, and a McDonald's just a few steps downstairs. It's super convenient for catching the light show at night, and visiting the museum complex and outlet mall during the day. The hotel facilities are also great; having a Bluetooth speaker to listen to music is a nice touch. The first room I stayed in was quite small. Even though the front desk had thoughtfully given me a room on a higher floor, the hallway in the room still felt cramped. Later, because the air conditioning broke, they moved me to a larger sea-view room, and suddenly, the room felt much more comfortable. The biggest downside in the room was that the shower water wasn't hot enough. After showering, I was freezing! It was practically lukewarm water. The bath towels were also cold, not absorbent, and felt slippery – just so cold. Another drawback was that the windows were very heavy; you needed staff to help open or close them, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, the service staff were generally very good, and my overall experience was still pretty positive.

We stayed in a panoramic room, and the space was both clean and generously sized. You definitely pay for the view, and in this case it’s worth it—the scenery from the room is truly marvellous. Most essentials were provided, and the hotel grounds include several conveniences such as on‑site restaurants, a Starbucks, and a small tuck shop. There were, however, a few areas where the experience could be improved. The swimming facilities were disappointing. Although two pools were technically operational, neither felt inviting or photo‑worthy. One had been converted into a sand pit, and temporary barriers were set up everywhere to block day visitors, which created an eye sore. Construction further took away from the atmosphere. Breakfast offered a decent selection and was sufficient overall, though friends who had visited before mentioned that the spread used to be better. After a few days, you’ll likely find yourself eating more or less the same items. Communication could also be smoother. Having at least one staff member who speaks English—or an alternative text‑based communication option—would make the stay easier for international guests. The Sky Lounge, however, was comfortable and a pleasant place to relax. Dining inside the hotel isn’t particularly affordable, but not too bad for a hotel, and I would have appreciated a stronger seafood selection. Many guests seemed to opt for food delivery instead. Small in‑room additions like earbuds, toothpicks, and a notepad would also elevate the experience. Overall, Phoenix Hotel Sanya offers beautiful views and convenient on‑site amenities, but there’s room for improvement in facilities, dining, and guest communication.

The hotel upgraded us to a suite for free, which was a pleasant surprise! The room was spacious, very clean, and well-equipped. The hotel also has a pool, which is great for kids. Our package included tickets to the C Show, and we bought a separate ticket for our child, which was worth it. There's also an aquarium, it's not huge but good for taking photos. It's super convenient if you're visiting the Water World – we stayed two nights and went both days, it was fantastic! We proactively added the customer service (Xiao Haitun) on WeChat, so we could communicate any needs promptly. They also informed us about activities and dining options very quickly. Thanks a lot!

This hotel near the airport is a pretty good choice for a layover. The shuttle service and inquiry service are excellent overall, very patient, thorough, and reassuring. The only thing was being woken up by an inexplicable call from the front desk in the morning; they hadn't clarified their needs and thought we had booked a shuttle, which was a bit disheartening. After being woken up, I went for breakfast, not expecting much, but it turned out to be surprisingly good. While there wasn't a huge variety, all the basics were there, and every dish tasted great. The auntie at the noodle station was very kind and accommodating, and the noodles were delicious. The pastries, bread, coffee, and fried noodles were all good too. The airport shuttle passes through a construction area, so the outdoor environment isn't particularly scenic. There are quite a few planes flying overhead, so earplugs might be needed, though it's not excessively noisy.
