The stay was ok. Our 2nd time staying at this hotel. Except there is this 2 separation of tower 1 and tower 2. Tower 2 is abit far me. I didn't book hotel w breakfast. So we tried the buffet breakfast on our last day. Which is delicious!
Just a few things to complain. Room is close to the water heating fan thing. It gets noisy.
If other ppl were to use the toilet. We can hear the toilet pipe running, which is loud too.
Aircon cannot self adjust. It only regulates when the room gets abit warm. Ofcz the room qr code gives an option to get someone to come n service. But personally I feel is inconvenient, especially when it happens at night.
The first time we enter the room. I smell cigarette in the bathroom but very faint.
If given an option to come stay again. Choose a room from tower 1. I cannot walk far.

Stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru for a short visit. The room itself was acceptable and reasonably comfortable, though the carpet felt rather worn and could benefit from a deeper clean. The view from the room was pleasant and a definite highlight. Breakfast was very crowded during peak hours; however, the team did a commendable job replenishing the buffet swiftly. That said, the overall taste and selection were fairly average. It would be much appreciated if brewed coffee from a proper coffee machine were available instead of coffee from an urn. The hotel’s location is excellent and highly convenient, which remains its strongest advantage. Special mention to Khan and Sazzad for their excellent hospitality at the Reception.

We’ve stayed here previously but this is the worst 2-nights stay in the old wing of Grand Paragon! The housekeeping staff did not clean the dusty fabric headboard which I had to do so with it’s layers of dust. There were missing glass tumbler, slippers, tissue paper & the safe-box was locked, too. The shower curtains were too short so water tends to spill out. We were given 1 extra pillow when we requested for extra 2 pillows as it was too flat. Their excuse was that it was the hotel’s policy even though the hotel was half empty! Housekeeping did not clean our room even with the Clean-up sign on our door on the 2nd day. Reception was informed of it in the evening when we came back to our room. They had the audacity to say that we were going to check-out the next day (3rd day), anyway! We had 2 full dust-bin of rubbish, no shampoo, bath gel, bath towels, hand towels, wc paper, etc & we desperately needed to take a shower. Eventually Housekeeping brought the items & meekly apologise that he was the Evening Shift staff. We understood his situation, thank & tip him for his assistance. The next day, we tried the gym. It’s windows had dust streaks & were very dirty, too. Some of the exercising seats were cracked & uncomfortable.
Breakfast was nice at the cafe with freshly ground coffee, Nasi lemak, noodles & fresh bread. Avoid the ones in the coffee/tea pots as it’s diluted and tasted unfresh. The staff were quite friendly.
Stay here, if you can over-look this dirty environment.

Spacious room and great value for money. Great location too. All is good if you're not a picky person. Wardrobe furniture is a little bit run down. Indoor Swimming pool is big and spacious. Buffet breakfast is great. For the price I have no complaints and will come again.

I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru and had a great experience. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to City Square, which made getting around very easy. The king-size bed was super comfortable—I had a wonderful night’s sleep. The shower was also excellent, with good water pressure and a relaxing feel.
They also offer their signature warm welcome cookies. I didn’t get them on the evening of check-in, but I collected them the next morning, and they were still warm and delicious. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

This hotel is incredibly close to JB Sentral. After clearing customs, you just follow the overhead bridge, walk through JBCC shopping mall, and it's right across the street. Do note that the ground floor is just for the concierge and luggage storage; the front desk is on the 6th floor. It's surrounded by JBCC and City Square, and popular spots like Hua Yang Kopitiam, Ming Ang Confectionery, and Mr. Sotong are all nearby – you'll have no trouble finding places to eat and shop. The hotel is also within walking distance of the old railway station, Johor Ancient Temple, Indian Temple, Tan Hiok Nee Cultural Street, and Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple. The guys at the front desk and concierge are all polite and enthusiastic. The room is spacious and comfortable, power outlets work, and there's even a kettle! 🥰 I genuinely recommend it!
The front desk staffs are very friendly and informative. The lobby area is big and comfy with a coffee vending machine. Need to travel out of this hotel to get lunch/dinner/supper and shopping and entertainment. The car park for hotel are at 1st level that are free for hotel guests.
Our king size beds are very big. The rooms are big too. There is hair dryer in the toilet. The curtain in the shower is old and dirty but usable. The towels are old and not white anymore. House slippers are given but one pair looks dirty or being used. Housekeeping staffs are helpful and friendly.
The TV not easy to operation or the channels need sometime to load. The next building(residential) is so close that we have to keep our curtains close all the time.
The swimming pool and breakfast cafe are located at 5th level that are common area with the residents.
The cafe is non Aircon and is open concept, their fans are cooling enough for comfortable for breakfast. The breakfast buffet is simple and tasty. Not alot of variety but enough to be full.
The hot Spring is great, very hot. It has 2 normal pools inside and a sauna room. There's toilets and showers too. Friday and Saturday timming is 4pm to 10pm.
Room Condition:
The hotel is quite old and a bit rundown, so it’s understandable that the furniture is also aged. The table lamp/study light looked worn out and could use some maintenance.
Service:
Check-in at the front desk was smooth, but we faced an issue with the TV in our room. We couldn’t watch any channels at all. At first, we thought it might be due to the weather, but the TV in my parents’ room worked fine. We scanned the QR code to request assistance and received only “Noted” as a response. We sent two messages and got the same reply both times. Since there was no follow-up, we went to the front desk to report it in person, but unfortunately, no action was taken until we checked out. That was quite disappointing.
Car Park:
Try to avoid parking directly under the trees, as there are quite a lot of weaver ants around the area.
Breakfast Buffet:
The breakfast buffet was okay. The kurma chicken tasted more like ayam ungkep, which was a bit misleading, but I actually loved it since I really like ayam ungkep.

I always booked here and it never disappoints me. Easy checking in and easy checking out. Food is not bad, its just not much choices but still fine for me. And the lifts are quiet fast which is good if you are rushing. Amenities are basic. All in all good!

This guesthouse in Johor Bahru is truly perfect for travelers who frequently commute to and from Singapore, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. The location is incredibly convenient, not far from the JB CIQ (Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine). Getting there by taxi or Grab is a breeze. It saves a lot of time when crossing over to Singapore for work or leisure in the morning, significantly reducing the fatigue from travel and queuing.
The room was clean and tidy, with a cozy ambiance. All essential amenities were provided, and the air conditioning, hot water, and Wi-Fi were all stable, making for a very comfortable stay. After returning from Singapore in the evening, I could get a good night's rest in a quiet environment, free from noise disturbance. The host communicated smoothly and responded promptly. The check-in and check-out instructions were very clear, which was especially helpful for first-time visitors to Johor Bahru.
The surrounding area has excellent facilities, with convenience stores, restaurants, and coffee shops nearby, making it very easy to find food and do some shopping. It offers fantastic value for money. Overall, this guesthouse has a great location, convenient transportation, and is ideal for cross-border travel. It's suitable for both short stays and longer trips, and I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

KKhairul DanishLoved our stay at Fraser Place, especially the beautiful view from the room. The breakfast was awesome — we stayed for 3 nights and the menu changed every day, so we never felt bored. My kids especially loved the bathtub, which is something many hotels don’t have nowadays. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay for our family.
AAnonymous UserThis hotel is conveniently located just 160 meters, a 5-minute walk, from Aeon Mall Bukit Indah, surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and spas. Sutera Mall is also easily accessible by car. Legoland and Hello Kitty Town are only about a 10-15 minute drive away, and there's even a direct bus service to Singapore.
WWong ZiThis was my second time staying this hotel and I’m glad to say it was just as wonderful than my first visit. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, which made the experience feel extra special.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with thoughtful touches that made me feel at home.

GGuest UserTunamaya Beach & Spa Resort Desaru is an affordable option compared to nearby resorts like The Westin and Hard Rock. The room was fairly clean and comfortable.
The only downside was a funky smell in the elevator — to the point where I had to hold my breath. Other than that, having a swimming pool was a big plus, and the location is good for getting around Desaru. The service from the staff was great — friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay.
Overall, it’s a decent stay for the price and good value if you’re looking for something more budget-friendly in the area.
AAnonymous UserHotel stay is over all good experience , it has all the facilities required especially Spices restaurant is good for Indian food . it has Splash water park which is free for the guests in the. hotel.
Llilaobuhere over the new year's. anantara was exceptionally quiet and peaceful compared to other resorts in the vicinity. we were disappointed by the food served at at sea,salt.sand... burger was cooked till dead dry, and their ”dark chocolate gelato” turned out to be low quality milk chocolate. our room experienced water supply loss in the evening for about an hour.

FFina-chanA family-friendly hotel with variety of amenities and activities available. With direct access to the adventure waterpark at level 1 of the hotel, multiple entry to the waterpark is allowed within the day. Do expect to wait 15-30mins to enter the waterpark as it gets crowded over the weekends.
Complimentary breakfast was provided. A decent spread for kids as well (cereal, mini pancakes, roti canai etc). I'd recommend to go between 7-8.30am to avoid crowds as it gets busy after 8.30am and you will expect a queue before you are seated.
Do catch the live band between 8.30-11pm while enjoying some drinks. The perfect way to wind down after a long day.
Drop off the kids at the Roxity Kids Club for some ”me-time”. Do check if your room booking includes complimentary access (1hr per kid). If it does and you intend to drop the kids off on the last day of your trip, drop them off first before checking out. Else the system will not be able to retrieve your booking and you will have to pay 35RM for 1hr play. Socks are required for kids to enter. Alternatively, you can purchase a pair at 5RM over the counter.
Do check out the coffee bar right next to the gym. A relaxing ambience with variety of selection on the menu.
There is also a swimming pool on level 3 and kids waterplay area on level 1, right outside of Roxity Kids Club. A souvenir shop is also available on level 3 near the reception area and a toys & candy shop on level 1.
Other activities available on the facility is the huge chess board and archery.
