Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting. The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes. One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds. Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.

The hygiene was top-notch, and the bedding was super soft and comfortable. The free, large parking lot was incredibly convenient. Breakfast was an amazing value for money, and the facilities were comprehensive. The staff were warm and professional, and the hotel even has a self-service laundry room... A very satisfying stay, highly recommended!

After comparing several hotels, we finally chose this one, and it exceeded our expectations! The value for money is outstanding. Firstly, the location is perfect – peaceful yet central. Just 100 meters to the left is the Twin Pagodas scenic area, and Elephant Trunk Hill is only about 1 km away on foot. What really stood out were the excellent hotel facilities and service quality. My child actually loved staying in the room and napping for two afternoons straight (though adjusting to the time difference after returning home also played a role). My child is very particular about hotel stays, so her satisfaction is rare; in Shanghai, she only stays at The Puli Hotel. The hotel's dining was incredibly impressive. Upon check-in, we received a complimentary local specialty, Beer Fish (valued at 98 yuan). The ingredients were fresh and it was deliciously prepared – fantastic! We ended up ordering all our subsequent meals from the hotel restaurant. I checked, and the hotel restaurant ranks number one locally on Dazhong (Dianping)! Highly recommended! This is the king of value-for-money hotels in Guilin!

This is the best Wyndham hotel I've stayed at so far. There's plenty of parking, the soundproofing is excellent, and I slept very well. The breakfast incorporates some local specialties and has a wide variety of options. It would be even better if the lobby had a display area showcasing local specialties from various counties.

Located opposite a pretty lake, nice for a walk, the hotel is good for leisure and business travellers. The rooms are large and well equipped. The shower was particularly nice and the bed is comfortable. The hotel is very clean. Fortunately I was with my Chinese speaking partner otherwise check in may have been a longer process. The breakfast was also fine but more orientated to local audience - albeit there is bread, fruit, eggs. Coffee at breakfast is not so good.

A perfect place to stay in Yangshuo, I regret not booking more days! This hotel in Yangshuo is absolutely divine! I originally only booked two nights, but as soon as I checked in, I regretted not extending my stay. The experience was truly amazing! Its location is superb – not far from West Street but just enough to avoid the noise, so it's very peaceful at night. It's only about a ten-minute walk to the Li River trail. If you want to visit attractions, the front desk can even help arrange a car, with transparent pricing so you won't get ripped off. My favorite part was the room's viewing balcony. Sitting on the rattan chair in the evening, enjoying the breeze and admiring the silhouettes of the distant mountains while sipping the complimentary osmanthus wine from the hotel, the ambiance was just perfect. The service was incredibly thoughtful! They proactively helped us with our luggage upon check-in, and seeing that we had elderly family with us, they even upgraded us to a family room with a sofa. Fresh breakfast was delivered to our room every morning; the aroma of the Guilin rice noodles' gravy was intoxicating, and the freshly baked waffles with fruit were so delicious I couldn't stop eating them. The housekeeping auntie was also very meticulous, tidying up the room perfectly every day and even helping to collect and fold our dried laundry. The facilities are also top-notch. The bedding in the room was super soft and comfortable, the bathroom was clean with a good wet/dry separation, and there was plenty of hot water. The hotel's small garden is exquisitely maintained, filled with bougainvillea and hydrangeas, making every photo a masterpiece. In the evening, small tables and chairs are set up in the garden, offering complimentary tea. Sitting there chatting with family and friends was simply delightful. When we checked out, the hotel even gave us local Yangshuo osmanthus cakes as a gift, which was incredibly heartwarming! Next time I visit Yangshuo, I will definitely choose this hotel again. I genuinely recommend it to all friends visiting Yangshuo!

My stay at Poetry & Faraway Li River Courtyard definitely didn't disappoint; it truly deserves its spot on the 'Beautiful Scenery' hotel list. I booked a double-sided view room, and as soon as I walked in, I could see both the Li River and Fubo Hill simultaneously. The view was incredibly expansive, and the scenery truly lived up to its reputation. The room was meticulously clean, the bedding was pristine and soft, and the bathroom had no water stains or odors. You could tell there was a lot of care put into the details, making for a very comfortable and reassuring stay. The butler service was also very attentive, communicating throughout my stay and helping with travel arrangements, which saved me a lot of hassle. The hotel also has a laundry room, which is very convenient for travelers – a thoughtful detail. Breakfast was served on the 6th floor, and the Guilin rice noodles were authentic. Eating while enjoying the river view really added to the experience. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I'll definitely consider coming back here on my next visit to Guilin.

Extremely happy with my choice! I was initially torn between several highly-rated accommodations but I'm so glad I ultimately chose the Waterfall Hotel. Guilin was packed during Chinese New Year; traffic near Elephant Trunk Hill would be gridlocked until 10 PM. However, staying at the Waterfall Hotel, I could pull back the curtains and see Elephant Trunk Hill and the Twin Pagodas, and even enjoyed the New Year fireworks! Going up to the 26th-floor Sky Garden to get a panoramic view of the city's mountains was another fantastic experience. If you do want to brave the crowds, you can reach Zhengyang Street, the Twin Pagodas, and Elephant Trunk Hill Park within 2-3 minutes of stepping out. This stay went far beyond 'exceeding expectations' – it was simply perfect. The facilities are impeccable: The room was spacious and bright, with stylish and tasteful decor. The biggest surprise was the super-sized bathtub; bath time became the most enjoyable part of my day. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and they even thoughtfully provided both soft and firm pillows to cater to different sleeping preferences – attention to detail at its finest! The restaurant is on the 9th floor, with a stunning outdoor pool just outside. Enjoying breakfast while admiring the beautiful view was pure bliss. Smart and convenient: The room was equipped with a smart 'Xiaodu' speaker, making voice control incredibly convenient. Food deliveries were brought directly to our door by an adorable robot, which was both efficient and fun. There's also a self-service laundry room near the rooms, which is a lifesaver for long-term travelers. But the service is truly the trump card: From the moment we checked in and added the butler on WeChat, we felt incredibly well taken care of. Any request we had was met with an immediate response and solution from the butler. What touched me most was an incident during breakfast today: an elderly person accidentally knocked over their tray, spilling food everywhere. The staff present didn't show any hesitation or displeasure; they rushed over immediately to comfort the startled elder, repeatedly asking if they were hurt, and swiftly and quietly cleaned up the mess. The entire process was filled with genuine concern. This kind of heartfelt kindness and professionalism is more precious than any luxurious facility. It was raining when we checked out, and the front desk staff proactively offered us disposable raincoats. This constant thoughtfulness made our whole family feel incredibly warm. Even our child was clamoring, ”I don't want to go to the next stop, I just want to keep staying here!” This wasn't just a stay; it was an experience filled with warm memories. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, heartfelt accommodation!

Came to Nanning with my girlfriend to experience the highest LC in China. Staying during the off-season offered great value for money. What truly stood out was the hotel staff – they are absolutely top-notch, the best I've encountered in luxury hotels. The decor is well-done with nice, quality details. The swimming pool is beautiful and features their iconic logo. Overall, highly recommended. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nanning.
