On my second day in Yangshuo, I switched to this hotel called 'Zai Shui Yi Fang' (Riverside Haven), and I knew I made the right choice as soon as I checked in. It’s located right in the prime section of the Ten-Mile Gallery. Instead of the hustle and bustle of West Street, you get peace and quiet, surrounded by majestic peak forests. The hotel's design and aesthetic really hit the spot for me—the attention to detail and texture are top-notch, and the amenities in the room are very thoughtful. Sitting in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, the rolling mountain views are right there in front of you, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in Yangshuo's landscape without even stepping outside. The open-air infinity pool on the first floor faces the mountains directly. You definitely have to book a floating afternoon tea here; with the Karst peak forest in the background, you can effortlessly snap breathtaking, atmospheric photos. Be sure to check out the rooftop viewing platform on the 6th floor—the view is incredible and perfect for photos. You can also enjoy a coffee or afternoon tea here, sipping slowly while the mountain breeze blows by with the peaks right in front of you. There’s also a swing by the lawn where you can just sit, catch the breeze, and zone out. It’s the ultimate relaxing experience. The butler service was very prompt and responsive, and their breakfast is a major highlight, packed with local character. This is the beauty of taking a relaxing off-peak vacation—no rushing around, just finding a cozy guesthouse to soak in the scenery at your own pace. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place to stay in Yangshuo.

I highly recommend this hotel in Guilin. The location is excellent; Elephant Trunk Hill and Sun and Moon Pagodas are all within walking distance. There are also many noodle shops and highly-rated restaurants nearby. We traveled to Guilin with our child and chose a family room on the 10th floor. The kids' play area is right outside the door in the hallway, and our child absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave the hotel. The rooms in this row, facing the play area, are very spacious and comfortable. They also come equipped with rocking horses, crawling mats, and small tents, making it an ideal choice for a family trip. On top of that, it offers great value for money. The hotel breakfast was also good; we stayed for three days, and the breakfast menu was different every morning. Oh, and the front desk also provided different small desserts every evening, which was a very nice touch!

Truly sleeping right inside the scenery! I especially loved the first-floor lobby: the windows can be opened all the way, with fresh green plants on the tables. Paired with a drink, taking in the floral fragrance from right outside the window, and admiring the emerald waters of the Li River and Mount Fubo right before your eyes—it is completely refreshing and soul-stirring. Another highlight is the rooftop pool on the 7th floor and the terrace restaurant on the 6th. With mountains and water blending into one, and the twinkling lights of the city, it truly lives up to its reputation as the best restaurant and pool! This must be the most idyllic and tranquil corner of Guilin. I highly recommend choosing a room with a terrace where you can sip tea ☕️, listen to music 🎶, feel the breeze, and read a book. Their teacups are also exquisitely crafted, and I loved the delicate, elegant, and carefree hanging decorations found everywhere. Far from the hustle and bustle, it’s the ultimate place to zone out and unwind... They also host scheduled interactive bamboo dance performances, which are a lot of fun. The bed was very comfortable, the shower had great water pressure, and the service was excellent. I’ve memorized the 'Poetry and Distance' brand and look forward to coming back next time! Finally, I got to stay in my dream river-view room in Yangshuo! 🏨 This 270° river-view room with a balcony bathtub is picture-perfect; every shot looks like a masterpiece, offering exclusive romantic views of the Li River. The location is a huge plus, making getting around super easy! It's a 5-minute walk to Guanlian Pier and just 10 minutes to Yangshuo West Street. It's also convenient to rent electric scooters nearby, and for those driving, there's a free parking lot and charging stations. The massive balcony directly faces the Li River, offering panoramic views of the mountains and water, creating an instant luxurious ambiance. The hotel boasts a popular infinity pool and a 'Sky Mirror' that's great for photos, plus a fully equipped gym and a children's play area, making it suitable for both couples and families. The breakfast and dinner experience was excellent. There's a rich selection of both Chinese and Western breakfast options, and upon check-in, we received a complimentary exquisite double welcome afternoon tea, which was both beautiful and delicious. 📍 Shixi Tianyue Riverview Hotel (Yangshuo West Street Li River Branch)

I had seen so many gorgeous photos of the hotel online before arriving, but being here in person was even better—every snap looked effortlessly Instagram-worthy. Our butler reached out before check-in and helped book activities we were interested in. When they found out there wouldn’t be a fireworks show during our stay, they even specially recorded and shared a video of one for us. In addition to a welcome fruit platter, the room came with cookies, candies, complimentary soft drinks, and plenty of bottled water (they also proactively checked if we needed refills). We ate at the hotel restaurant three times—for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They offer a great mix of Chinese and Western options with plenty of variety. I didn't order heavily, but everything suited my taste, was satisfying, and the breakfast in particular was fantastic! The sunlight streaming over the buffet counter made everything look so fresh and appetizing. Overall, it was a truly wonderful experience. I hope I get to catch the fireworks show on my next visit!

I recently spent three wonderful nights in a Superior Suite at the Lotus Luxury Hotel, and I must say the experience was absolutely exceptional! Having travelled extensively and stayed in some of the world’s finest luxury hotels, I can confidently say that the hospitality and professionalism at this hotel were truly outstanding. My first point of contact was Maylin, the hotel’s Loyalty Officer, who assisted me through WeChat before and during my stay. She was incredibly helpful, professional and attentive, arranging flowers, personal notes and several special requests. Her attention to detail made the experience even more memorable. I would also like to give special recognition to Arron, whose friendly personality, professionalism and genuine passion for hospitality really stood out. He is certainly in the right industry, and his excellent customer service deserves recognition. The suite was beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Staying on the 72nd floor, with breathtaking views, made the experience even more special. The breakfast staff were equally welcoming and attentive. In particular, I would like to thank a lovely lady dressed in a black suit whom I encountered during the first two mornings of my stay. Her professionalism and helpfulness did not go unnoticed. What truly makes this hotel special is not simply the luxury accommodation or spectacular views, but the people who work there. Their genuine warmth, attention to detail and dedication to excellent service are what separate a good hotel from an outstanding one. Would I return? Absolutely, without hesitation! Highly recommend Crowne Plaza Nanning Riverside! Ruby is absolutely wonderful and so reliable. She provided attentive butler service from the moment we booked until we checked out. The hospitality started right at check-in, and any requests during our stay were addressed promptly. She also gave us great local recommendations for food and entertainment nearby. When we returned to the room in the evening, turndown service had been arranged. Since our flight was delayed on the day of departure, she thoughtfully helped us extend our check-out time to 2 PM. It was a 10/10 experience—definitely worth a stay! A huge shoutout to Ruby 👍

Facilities: Well-equipped, with its own parking lot and a self-service laundry room. Cleanliness: Spotless and hygienic, with comfortable bedding. Environment: Great surroundings; you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Guilin karst landscape from the 14th floor. Service: Exceptional service—attentive, warm, and makes you feel right at home.

We stayed here during the October Golden Week holiday, booking a Deluxe Room on the 6th floor with a mountain view. The window offered a great view of the hotel lawn, pool, and distant mountains. The Deluxe Club Lounge provides light meals. Since we were traveling with seniors and children who can't eat spicy food, we actually had fewer opportunities to try local delicacies outside the hotel, which is typical for family trips. We stayed for five days, and every evening we had dinner at the Club Lounge. The restaurant changed 1-2 hot dishes daily, but most other items remained the same. They always had freshly made Guilin rice noodles. Food quantity and hygiene were definitely not issues. I enjoy drinking tea, and it was available from day to night, conveniently located on the same floor as our room. During the Golden Week, my child participated in a paid cookie-making activity. There were four children, and the session was well-organized, and the finished cookies were good. My child loved it. On October 5th, we had booked a day trip to Longji Terraces, and the tour guide informed us we needed to leave at 5:40 AM, which meant missing breakfast. We contacted the hotel in advance, and they offered to pack a simple breakfast for us to take on the road. It included a boiled egg, yogurt, an apple, four types of small bread, and a bottle of water – very good, clean, and hygienic. Besides the view, the hotel room also had good soundproofing. The shower head had strong water pressure, and I didn't notice any of the yellowing or damage mentioned in some reviews. However, the complimentary bottled water was a bit difficult to open, and there were no disposable toilet seat covers provided. The hotel gym has a free ping-pong room. My son and I visited it twice and really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a smooth and pleasant family trip.

The location is good, not too far to walk to West Street. Renting an electric scooter from here to visit the Ten-Mile Gallery is a great choice. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, and it's not too noisy. However, I'd recommend traveling during off-peak times, as the area around the hotel gets extremely congested on holidays.
