Service: The hotel's service was exceptional. As soon as we entered, the staff immediately helped us with our luggage. After check-in, they personally brought our bags to our room. What really stood out and showed the excellent service was when we went out for dinner after checking in. The weather forecast said no heavy rain, but it started pouring almost instantly. We were caught outside and couldn't get back. That's when the front desk staff brought us two umbrellas, helping us return to the hotel. This was truly unique compared to other hotels and made the service truly satisfactory. Facilities: The hotel has washing machines and dryers on the 5th floor, which was convenient for our laundry needs. On the 7th floor, there are recreational facilities for children to play. There's also another laundry room on the 1st floor, also helpful for washing clothes. Hygiene: The hygiene was also exceptionally good. Upon entering our room, the bedsheets, sofa, and bathroom were spotless, without a single stain. This clearly shows that the hotel's cleaning staff are very diligent. They also automatically replaced our water and the disposable seat covers on the toilet. Location: The hotel's location is also very convenient. Turning right out of the hotel, about 200 to 300 meters away, there's a highly-rated restaurant. If you turn right out of the hotel and cross an overpass, you'll reach a scenic spot, 'Elephant Trunk Hill,' which I highly recommend for families with middle school-aged children. Finally, I highly recommend the 'Poetry and Distance' hotel because of its unique DIY project called [Knock Knock Time], a parent-child handmade Artemisia argyi meridian hammer workshop. Highly recommended!

Our stay at the Poetry & Faraway Lijiang Courtyard Hotel in Guilin exceeded all expectations! The direct river view was absolutely stunning; we could enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Li River without even leaving the hotel. The location is superb, within walking distance to Elephant Trunk Hill and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes, making it very convenient to get around. A special highlight was the hotel's travel photography service. The photographer was professional and patient, offering guidance on poses and finding the perfect lighting. Utilizing the unique mountain and river backdrop by the river, they were excellent at capturing the atmosphere, and the raw photos turned out great. I loved them! 👍

Choosing this hotel for a relaxing stay in Yangshuo was such a pleasant surprise! 🥹 I felt like I was living inside a beautiful Li River landscape painting. From the comfort of my bed or by the window, I had direct views of the mountains and water ⛰️. The decor is a comfortable, minimalist style – clean and aesthetically pleasing. The bedding was soft and cozy 🛏️, and the hygiene was impeccable, making for a truly reassuring stay. There's also a fantastic viewing platform on the top floor, with a 'Sky Mirror' effect 🌌 where every photo turns out stunning without edits. Plus, there's a pool for splashing around, instantly elevating the vacation vibe ✨. For those with kids, there's even a children's play area, allowing parents to truly relax and unwind! 👍

I had an amazing experience staying at Sugar House Hotel in China. From the moment I arrived, everything was exceptional. The hotel combines beautiful design, elegant style, comfort, and outstanding service in a truly memorable way. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive throughout my stay. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made me feel very well taken care of. I would especially recommend Sugar House Hotel to highly demanding and discerning guests who appreciate exceptional service, sophisticated style, and attention to every detail. If you love beautiful surroundings, excellent hospitality, and a high level of service, this hotel is definitely worth experiencing. It was a wonderful and unforgettable stay, and I would absolutely love to return again!

The hotel is in a prime location, the breakfast spread is quite good, and the pool is excellent with great views. For a hotel pool, it's deep and long enough, and there's a sauna too – a swim followed by a sauna is just perfect. The only downside is parking, which was a bit of a hassle; it took us a while to find it. Then, after parking on the ground floor, check-in is on the 80th floor, and after that, you have to take another elevator to customer service. It was annoying to have to switch elevators three times.

Facilities: Absolutely fantastic, especially the cleverly designed outdoor ventilated facilities. Hygiene: Needless to say, it's superb. Environment: The surrounding environment is excellent, with expansive views. Service: Warm and friendly service.

I have to give a big shout-out to the hotel's Front Office team! I stayed here for four nights, and the facilities and service were impeccable. Even though the hotel has been around for a while, everything is incredibly well-maintained. The duty manager, Tommy Tang, was very enthusiastic and helpful. There were children jumping around upstairs, which was affecting my rest. Manager Tang handled my issue very seriously and responsibly, and made sure to properly hand it over so that the next day's duty manager, Luo Hongping, could help me resolve the problem perfectly and communicate effectively. The hotel's indoor and outdoor swimming pools are also very large, with comfortable water temperatures and crystal-clear water. Zhang Weiwei from the recreation center provided excellent service. Shangri-La will definitely be my top choice again in the future.

The room was spacious and the location was super convenient. It's really close to Ten-Mile Gallery and Guilin Romance Park. Plus, it's right by West Street but surprisingly quiet. You can easily rent an electric scooter to explore all of Yangshuo! Oh, and the plums at the hotel were delicious 😋. The front desk staff, both the guys and the girls, were incredibly helpful and friendly, giving great recommendations for sightseeing routes. Yangshuo's scenery is just breathtaking!

The hotel is located right by Rong Lake, near the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area, which is very quiet. In the mornings, you can hear birds chirping from the park. It's a 15-minute walk to the free Elephant Trunk Hill scenic area, and a 7-minute walk to see the Sun and Moon Pagodas at night, where you can also take a cruise. This location pretty much covers all the attractions in Guilin city. All the hotel staff were lovely, and I especially want to thank a female staff member or supervisor at the front desk – I'm not entirely sure which she was. It had been raining for days, and after checking out, we canceled our train to Yangshuo, fearing flooding and that we wouldn't be able to enjoy ourselves there. She told us that since we had traveled so far, we should still go and see it, as the scenery is beautiful and it doesn't rain constantly; we wouldn't know until we got there. So, we re-bought our tickets and went. She even helped us make a waterproof cover for our child's camera, which was incredibly thoughtful. When we got there, we found it hadn't rained for the past two days, and we were able to enjoy bamboo rafting and everything. The scenery truly was breathtaking, and it was definitely worth the trip! Coming all the way from Beijing, it certainly made our long journey worthwhile. We came here in a hurry this time and didn't plan anything, relying entirely on the information and advice from the front desk concierge. Their explanations made everything so much clearer. We'll definitely choose this place again for our next trip.

This hotel really embodies the feeling of prosperity, being incredibly generous with the details. For instance, they have daily fireworks, and many public areas offer complimentary sparkling water, lemon tea, and fruit. Every group of guests also receives a welcome ceremony and detailed guidance before check-in. These details are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and costly, but they significantly contribute to creating a relaxing holiday atmosphere. I don't think any other hotel in China, not even the Amane resorts I've stayed at, can match this level of service. The hotel's standout feature is its landscape. While Guangxi is known for its karst topography, the hotel's views are exceptionally curated. The strict management, which prevents non-guests from entering, is also a plus. The activities, such as the Detian Tea House and the bamboo raft afternoon tea, offer a great experience and have a distinctive local flavor. They've also developed several specialty restaurants, and the main restaurant's food is quite good. The service at the hotel is excellent. The butler truly shines, proactively reminding guests of activities, coordinating schedules, and effectively resolving any issues guests might have. Doris, in particular, was warm and professional, very approachable, and even gave us a doll as a parting gift – thank you! Overall, the hotel's hardware, including its location, design, and landscape, is outstanding, and its operational aspects (service, activities, and attention to detail) are truly exceptional.
