Li River Hotel (Guilin Two Rivers and Four Lakes Xiangshan Scenic Spot)

This hotel boasts an excellent location, right in the heart of Guilin city. Both the top-floor restaurant and the rooms offer the best views of the Sun and Moon Pagodas. Downstairs, you'll find the Fir Lake, part of the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area. Elephant Trunk Hill is just a 5-minute walk away. I received a complimentary room upgrade to a spacious 80-90 square meter room, complete with a separate walk-in closet, a huge terrace, and a double vanity. The welcome fruit and minibar items could be replenished upon request. The service was exceptional; staff were patient and helpful, offering bottled water when I left the hotel, and I even received essential oils as a farewell gift. The hotel breakfast was also excellent, featuring Guilin rice noodles, grilled steak, stewed chicken soup, freshly squeezed passion fruit juice, and many other made-to-order dishes. It's also rated as the top restaurant in Guangxi. The hotel offers a fantastic travel photography experience where you can choose from Miao or Zhuang ethnic costumes, enhanced by the surrounding beautiful scenery. They also offer intangible cultural heritage workshops like making traditional Chinese herbal sachets. Staying multiple nights includes a complimentary foot massage. While the swimming pool is a bit small, it's a wave pool, which is great for kids.

Seriously, this hotel is beyond amazing. When we arrived, there was someone dedicated to helping us with our luggage, even taking it up to our room. The room facilities and service are even better than some five-star hotels. It's quiet, in a great location with river views, and you don't even need to go out to get beautiful scenic photos right from the hotel. They also offer many delicious treats, and the hotel's dinner is exceptionally good, serving local specialties that are tasty and won't disappoint. The breakfast is also excellent. The hotel's service is incredibly thoughtful; upon check-in, they immediately provided recommendations for local restaurants, dessert spots, and how to explore the area. When checking out, the front desk enthusiastically asked if we needed extra bottles of water for the road. We even received a free room upgrade and a complimentary souvenir. Staying at this hotel, you won't encounter any issues. It's genuinely fantastic. I've stayed in many supposedly good hotels in various places, but I've never experienced such outstanding service. This hotel is conveniently located to everything.

Extremely satisfied! This is my top hotel recommendation for Guilin. The location is absolutely superb, right next to the pedestrian street, and directly below the hotel is the lakeside of the Sun and Moon Pagodas. The service, honestly, is second to none – out of all the places I've been, the service here is among the best. The room was clean, and the hygiene was impeccable. Highly, highly recommend!

The hotel room was fantastic. They offer a complimentary laundry service, and the butler even dries your clothes and delivers them right to your room door, which is incredibly thoughtful. You don't have to wait around at all. Since we booked two rooms, they even upgraded one of them to a lake-view room for free on the second day, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel's location is excellent. It's only a three-minute walk to Zhengyang Pedestrian Street and five minutes to Gate 3 of Elephant Trunk Hill. Getting to the pier and night market is also very convenient. From the hotel's rooftop, you get a breathtaking view of the Sun and Moon Pagodas – absolutely stunning! I highly recommend staying here. It was a truly perfect experience.

The Cloud Restaurant offers great views, especially at dusk, and the viewing platform provides stunning vistas of the twin pagodas. There's also a non-heritage handicraft activity area in the lobby. The front desk staff were all very helpful. Overall, a very satisfying stay!
