I had a very pleasant stay at WEIL Hotel Ipoh. It was a truly great experience that exceeded our expectations. One of the highlights that surprised my wife and me was the complimentary supper provided by the hotel — something we had never encountered before, and it was a very thoughtful touch. The hotel is also conveniently connected to a nearby shopping mall via an interconnecting pathway, which made shopping extremely easy and enjoyable. This added a lot of convenience to our stay. Additionally, the staff were very accommodating, allowing us a late check-out at 1:00 PM and even offering to look after our bags after check-out. Overall, the service, facilities, and thoughtful gestures made our stay memorable. Highly recommended!

The hotel's strengths are the spacious rooms and the presence of a bathtub, making for a generally comfortable stay. This was our second stay at Sunway Lost World Hotel, and it was a much better experience than our first. We were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a Classic Triple room, and having the night park passes included for both nights was a huge plus. However, there were a few areas that could be improved: Amenities: The room was clean and the linens were fresh. Unfortunately, we had no hot water in our room for both nights. Despite being told it just ”takes time” to warm up, it never did. Taking a cold shower at 11:00 PM after the night park was a major downside. Dining & Location: The hotel isn't very close to outside eateries. Room service ends around 10:00 PM, so if you return from the night park late, options are very limited. Since we visited during the Raya break, most nearby Muslim-owned shops were closed, requiring a drive to find food. Breakfast: Day one was enjoyable, but day two was a bit chaotic due to the surge of guests. Food wasn't refilled quickly enough and finding a table was a challenge and a lot of food were not refilled as it finished. Overall, a good stay for the park access, but the water temperature and breakfast logistics during peak periods need attention.

It's quick to get to Lost World, Old Town, and all the major food areas. There's also an AEON Mall nearby, perfect for late-night snacks and shopping. ✅ Comfortable and Clean Rooms The room size was decent, the bed was very comfortable, and you could choose your pillow (just call room service for different firmness options). The bathroom was clean, water pressure was good, and the overall design was simple yet tasteful. ✅ Attentive Service The front desk and staff were all very friendly, and check-in/out was efficient. I even checked in smoothly in the early morning, and they helped arrange a parking spot. ✅ Practical Facilities There's a gym, a swimming pool (not huge, but good enough for relaxing), and a lounge for a drink. The buffet breakfast offers a good selection, especially the Nasi Lemak and Kaya Toast – delicious! ✅ Great Value for Money For a Marriott brand hotel, the price is reasonable and often cheaper than comparable hotels in Kuala Lumpur. It's suitable for both business and family travel. 📌 A Small Tip The hotel doesn't have its own large parking lot, but there's a paid parking lot right next door (the hotel has a partnership, so remember to ask about discounts). Also, the soundproofing in the rooms is just average, so I'd recommend staying on a higher floor. 💬 Summary: Clean, convenient, great service, and fair prices – I'll definitely choose AC Hotel again on my next visit to Ipoh!

The exterior is pretty grand for first impression. Security Guard is super friendly and helpful. Do keep this up. We arrived after 10pm and we have to checked in with the help of a security guard as the receptionist closes at 10pm, but all good. Location wise, a drive/ grab is necessary for all foodies. The infinity pool was amazing, overlooking the polo ground. Suppose to have a cafe and kopitiam at the top floor, but since this condo project is still new, it is still not operating yet. Maybe my next visit. Interior of the room is spacious, there's NETFLIX, YOUTUBE and etc. Fridge, microwave and kitchen utilities, Hair dryer, iron. Floor not so clean though - rather dusty. we booked a unit with 2 rooms (1 room with 2 twin bed and 1 room with Q bed). No private bathroom in the bedroom though, only one bathroom. The Bathroom drain hole was clogged during our stay. Therefore, the draining was a bit slow, and it causes mini flood inside the bathroom. Things to improve (in my opinion, that is): 1. to add an extra latch at the entrance door for extra safety, I will not have a peaceful sleep if I am staying alone though. 2. Only have one bedside table. would be nice to have another bedside table so I don't have to place my things on the floor. 3. Dressing table inside the main room not to be placed facing the bed for feng shui purpose (just saying) Overall, I had a nice stay here and the bed is so comfortable. I had a good rest though.

The main issue was the check-in management at the front counter. We had to wait nearly 3 hours to check in because the system was down. Unfortunately, there seemed to be no backup plan in place to handle the situation. My elderly parents became very tired from the long wait, which made the experience quite frustrating. Other than that, the facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the promotional room rate offered good value for money.

The room rate was affordable and included free breakfast. The booking was actually for two people, but I stayed alone. There are a few areas that could be improved. The room looked quite worn out, and the hygiene could be better. The bedsheet had stains that could not be cleaned off. The water pressure was also very low. Unfortunately, my room was facing a shop lot with a disco, and the loud music and vibrations continued until around 2am, making it difficult to sleep. On the positive side, the hotel provided two bottles of water, coffee, toothbrushes, and shower caps. Two small bottles of shower gel and shampoo were also provided, although there was no tissue box in the room. Security felt good, with a standard hotel door lock system and lift access restricted to room card holders only. The breakfast was good, with a standard Malaysian-style selection. Considering the room rate, it felt quite generous. They also provide basement parking, which is very convenient for guests traveling by car.

The hotel has a beautiful view, convenient location, and a clean, fresh lobby. The shower pressure is strong, the room is spacious, and the service is excellent. Most importantly, it's dust-free, gets plenty of sunlight, and the mattress is soft.

Stayed at Travelodge Ipoh and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was a bit small, but still cozy enough for a good sleep. The facilities were good too — the gym and swimming pool are free to use and quite standard for a comfortable stay. One of the best parts was the breakfast, with so many types of food and choices available. Another plus point is the free parking provided for hotel guests, which made everything more convenient. Overall, a good stay and worth considering when visiting Ipoh!

In the morning, after our wonderful breakfast, my kids and I went back to the roundabout for a brisk walk and spent some time at the playground.
