YYauheniya Satsura🏡 Modest but Convenient Hotel Near the Beach
We stayed at this hotel in Pangkor, and overall, our experience was positive.
- 📍 **Location:** It's super close to the beach and the main street with cafes and shops – you really couldn't ask for a better spot.
- 🏠 **Accommodation Style:** The hotel is made up of small bungalows, each with its own entrance. Most have a little terrace with a table. It's all very simple, but clean and pleasant.
- 🛏️ **Amenities:** The bedding was clean, there was always hot water, and the air conditioners were powerful. The towels, however, are quite worn out and could use replacing.
- 🏊 **Pool:** There is a pool, but it looked a bit gloomy, so we didn't use it.
- 👥 **Staff:** The owners are polite and friendly. No deposit is required. There's a front desk, but it's not open 24/7, which is something to keep in mind if you're checking in late.
📌 **Bottom Line:** A simple yet tidy hotel with an excellent location. It's suitable for those looking for affordable accommodation by the sea without extravagant expectations. We were happy with our stay.
TTan Ai KhengThe environment is beautiful and very therapeutic. However, the room is too small. Although the bathroom is spacious, the shower area is quite basic. Despite this, my family still hopes to revisit and perhaps a different room might offer a better experience next time.
LLuv to travelOn the day I checked in, I left my things in the room and I went shopping. I did leave a Do Not Disturb sign on my door. When I came back, the minute I put down my shopping, someone tried to open my door. Looked through my peep hole and saw a middle aged woman. The key obviously did not work. She left after a while but came back with a bell boy who rang in my doorbell. I opened the door and bellboy apologised and asked if I was staying here. I said I have checked in at 3pm. Bellboy pointed at two luggages and said he sent them to the wrong room? Wait what? Whose are these? The woman said they were hers. Bell boy said he delivered them to the wrong room.
Next, front desk called me and asked for my name. Not to apologise but ask for my identity. She confirmed that there’s been a mistake in assigning rooms. I asked her what do I need to do. She said nothing. No apologies. I asked her why the bellboy entered my room even though the Do Not Disturb sign was there. No answer.
My advise to those who choose to stay here - double lock your doors and keep your valuables with you. They did not respect my DND sign and entered my room.
GGuest UserWe booked a suite, and it was incredibly spacious! Having that extra room to move around is a lifesaver when traveling with children. It also features a small kitchenette, which made our trip incredibly convenient. Being able to easily prepare quick snacks or prep things for the kids right in the room was a huge plus.
Another major highlight for us was the indoor swimming pool. My daughter absolutely loved it! It’s a great setup because you don't have to worry about the midday sun or sudden rain ruining pool time.
Before booking, I searched everywhere online but could barely find any information or photos regarding the breakfast. The only review I managed to track down mentioned that the selection was ”limited.”
Now that I've stayed here, I wanted to share these photos so future guests know exactly what to expect. Yes, the selection is on the smaller side, but the quality is great. Even with fewer options, every single food item provided happened to be a personal favorite of mine! So while it might not be a massive buffet spread, it definitely hit the spot for us.
AAnnieztThis hotel is right in the heart of the old town, with the Ipoh Old Town Central Green directly below. We even stumbled upon an U21 football league on Sunday. There's also an Indian Muslim mosque just a few hundred meters away, and Concubine Lane is very conveniently located. The only downside was that the hotel's bath towels didn't seem particularly clean – they were a bit dingy. I used one after my shower and developed a ring of red rashes on my neck, so I immediately stopped using them. Luckily, I had brought my own disposable towels.

1. The location is a bit out of the city center, but not too far, about a 15-minute drive.
2. The hotel staff are well-mannered, very polite, and provide excellent service; they are very enthusiastic and helpful.
3. Although the hotel is not in the city center, it's not far from restaurants, hawker centers, and food stalls, and it's also close to Cui Hua Lou Dim Sum restaurant.
4. It's worth mentioning that the hotel provides ample parking spaces, saving time spent looking for parking.
5. Overall, this hotel offers good value for money, and the rooms are quite spacious. It's definitely worth a stay.
NNorhayatul husneeIt was a birthday treat for me but bringing kids along sure need activities fun for them, so recommended as kids friendly hotel! The ambience was beautiful, u check-in & great with warm cookies also the staffs are really kind.
The waterpark with slides accommodate kids plus they have kids club & game room too.. Food ? Delicious for wide spread of buffet breakfast & dinner. Pizza for chillin at pool area was also the bomb. The beach access also great, just maybe i think not so suitable for stroller or wheel chair as lots of stairs here n there . Overall, a nice healing spot withe beautiful scenary , oh plus points the bed ahhhhh so nice!!!
AAnonymous UserThe location is good, nearby to the eateries and easy accessible. There is also ample food parking inside and outside the place.
Contactless check in and checkout as well. The only thing is there is some humid smell in the house, after open the window and get some fresh air, it’s good.
AAglaonemaBasically, it's a residence, so don't expect hotel-like services. It might be challenging if you're not an experienced traveler. I was a bit annoyed that they refused to change the towels on the second night 😑. There aren't enough elevators for the number of people. There are KTVs and clubs nearby, so you can hear loud bass until late at night. Also, there are a lot of families, so if you're not keen on children, be aware.
GGuest UserLocated about 1km from Concubine Lane and it has a basement carpark (free). Comfy bed and pillows, with strong AC and good shower water pressure. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. Staff were friendly as well. Overall decent for the price.
