Hotel near Qianshan Hot Spring Area,Xianning 40% of visitors choose this area
MMolin 2025.08.11
This was my first visit to Country Garden Xianning, and I truly felt it's the best hotel in the area. Yet, the official photos make it look quite old and dated, which always led us to travel further to Chibi for hot springs. In actuality, both the hotel's ambiance and the room conditions far exceeded our expectations. The restaurant environment was lovely, and the breakfast was hearty. They really should consider updating their promotional images! We were upgraded to a room with a spacious bay window. We asked a staff member for an extra duvet, and the kids absolutely loved playing on it! The Water World is located just across the road from the hotel, with a convenient shuttle service. While the hot springs remain the main draw, they've also added a wave pool and a bubble pool. The large slide is unfortunately out of commission, but for those not keen on thrilling rides, there's still plenty to enjoy. The wave pool's waves were genuinely some of the largest I've encountered in any hotel-affiliated water park – far surpassing those at a certain family hotel newly opened in Wuhan, which charges double the price! The complimentary use of single and double swim rings is also a thoughtful touch. Finally, I must voice my disappointment regarding the kids' activities. The male staff member in charge showed extremely poor crowd control, leading to an utterly chaotic setup. They seriously need to learn from more competent peers in the industry. For starters, the activity content itself was poorly chosen. Knowing it was a weekend and would be busy, they should have anticipated the crowd and opted for simpler, quicker, and easier-to-manage crafts – something like making a lacquer fan or a TCM sachet, which a group could finish in 5-10 minutes. Instead, they went with the most complicated activity, causing everyone to pile into the room and complain. To top it off, the early start was only announced at the last minute. To make matters worse, they completely disregarded their own rules. Many guests complained that reservations were not honored, and people without reservations were also allowed to join. Even if we overlook the multiple booking groups, the main issue was that anyone who simply ignored the rules could just grab materials and start participating immediately. So, for an activity clearly intended for children, you'd see a family of three: the little boy making two items, his mom making one, and his dad occupying a seat as well. I've been to numerous family hotels where, during off-peak dining hours, they utilize banquet halls for activities, ensuring ample seating for parents to accompany their children at the same table. In situations with limited seating, children typically sit at the activity table while parents use small stools beside them. The priority is always to allow as many children as possible to participate simultaneously, and materials are only distributed to seated kids. I've genuinely never witnessed such disorganization where materials are handed out first, leading to a scramble for seats. What I found most incomprehensible was this: since many parents were waiting, they had their children playing in an adjacent area. One parent controversially took all the toys, preventing other kids from playing, which naturally sparked a heated argument with other parents. The dispute lasted quite a while and escalated. I even had to interject, 'It's getting pretty intense; aren't you going to send someone to de-escalate?' The male staff member simply replied that he was too swamped with people today and wasn't going to get involved. I countered, 'By the time you're free, they might actually be physically fighting!' After a moment's thought, he made a call and summoned another staff member, but offered no guidance or handover. Consequently, the female staff member, completely unaware of the situation, ended up trying to placate a different guest who was complaining about the activity schedule. Meanwhile, the original two parents continued their shouting match for a while longer. 😂 Frankly, if they can't even monitor or control the situation, they are entirely unfit to manage kids' activities. These activities really turned into a major negative point.

Really pleased with this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room itself is very nice - fresh, modern, clean, comfortable. Location is convenient in close walking distance to the train station and the bus station to Grand Canyon, Suobuya, etc. There are convenience stores and restaurants just outside/behind the hotel - plenty of choice. Buffet breakfast is standard Chinese, and starts serving at 6:30am. Very satisfied.

Donghu Hotel, the largest state guesthouse spanning over 2,000 acres, offers a unique experience. We stayed in a deluxe standard room at Tingtao Building 2. While the room facilities were comparable to other five-star hotels, the grounds truly set it apart. The serene environment, filled with birdsong and blooming flowers, is perfect for guests seeking tranquility. The hotel's east gate is just a 5-minute walk from the Donghu Tingtao Scenic Area. Tingtao Building 2 is also conveniently located about 300 meters from the east gate, and complimentary shuttle buggies are available within the sprawling property. A highlight for guests is the opportunity to book a visit to Chairman Mao's former residence daily at 9 AM and 3 PM. Unfortunately, our visit was cut short by rain, preventing us from exploring the entire estate, but we definitely plan to return.

Stayed here for 2 nights. I would to thank Ms Diana Zhao, Ms Lisa Wu, and Ms Sunny Ye at the front desk for going the extra mile. They expedited the check in and check out process, helped me with the carpark charges, recommended local food around the area, asked if room service was satisfactory, and highlighted some local attractions. Thanks again !

We chose this hotel for our Chinese New Year trip, and it was very kid-friendly! The staff even prepared amenities for children. The lobby had a strong New Year atmosphere, and the staff were very kind to the little ones. The surrounding area has complete facilities, making it easy to take the kids out. The front desk service was also incredibly warm and welcoming, and the location is super convenient, right next to Wanda Plaza, so shopping and dining are just a stone's throw away. The hotel facilities are also comprehensive. Highly recommended!

Transportation: Located in the main urban area, transportation is very convenient. The surrounding amenities are complete, and ordering takeout is a breeze. Facilities/Services: The facilities are well-equipped, and there are plenty of parking spaces with charging stations. Dining: The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, and the breakfast buffet is very extensive. Double Spring Hot Spring Hotel is by far the best hot spring I've ever visited. The environment is great, the facilities are complete, and the service is attentive. Coming during the off-season was truly fantastic; it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

Wuhan's cherry blossoms are beautiful, but the real surprise of this stay started with Mike at the Ruihua Hotel. Thanks to his thoughtful arrangements, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room directly overlooking East Lake. This led to an incredible experience the next morning: watching the sunrise from the comfort of our bed! 🌅 I have to say, the quality at Ruihua is consistently excellent, from the Dyson hairdryer and full set of L'Occitane toiletries to the unbeatable lake view outside the window – every detail makes for a comfortable stay. Being right next to Chu River and Han Street also makes getting around incredibly convenient. A big thank you to Mike for making this trip to Wuhan such a wonderful start. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit to Wuhan!

The hotel's environment is great, and we chose a river-view room which offers a direct view of the river. It's only about a 10-minute walk from the Three Gorges Tourist Center. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Before we left, they even gave us two bottles of water in case we got thirsty on the way. Yichang is beautiful, and I'll definitely be back!

BBelitskay TravelA good hotel with excellent service! The staff doesn't speak English, but they are very welcoming and friendly. They helped us with all our questions using a translator. There's a laundry room and a gym on the 16th floor. The only disappointing thing was the cleaning. The rooms are new, but quite dirty. The floor is sticky, and there was ash in the toilet as soon as we checked in, and it wasn't cleaned during our entire stay.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right above the Jianghan Road subway station. It's incredibly convenient for visiting the riverside, going for a city walk, or finding a place to eat. The room is quite spacious with stylish design, a separate wet and dry area, and a toilet with heating and automatic flushing. The high-floor view is panoramic, and the bedding is very comfortable, especially one pillow that felt like latex. The day before check-in, the hotel called to ask about my arrival and directed me to the nearest subway exit. They also mentioned there was renovation on some floors, and there were signs in the room too. However, there was absolutely no impact from it, and the soundproofing was perfect. There are two dedicated elevators for the hotel floors, so you don't have to share with other hotels or commercial units, which is a big plus for safety and efficiency. Breakfast offered freshly made hot dry noodles and various other noodles and rice noodles, along with traditional Wuhan fried snacks. While the variety wasn't huge, it was certainly enough. The restaurant has a great view. The only drawback was the coffee machine; the Americano felt very weak. I returned late after visiting Yellow Crane Tower in the morning, and the front desk kindly arranged a late check-out for me. Even though I only stayed one night, it was a perfect end to my trip to Wuhan. This will definitely be my top choice for my next visit to Wuhan.

GGuest UserThe experience at Marco Polo Wuhan was absolutely fantastic! The location is superb, right on Yanjiang Avenue, next to Hankou Beach. It's within walking distance to Jianghan Road and Lihuangpi Road, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and shopping. The hotel directly faces the Yangtze River, offering expansive river views. The ambiance is elegant and grand, and both the public areas and guest rooms are clean and comfortable. The night views are especially photogenic. The service was thoughtful and attentive; check-in was efficient, and the staff were polite and responsive. Every detail showcased their professionalism. Overall, my stay was comfortable and pleasant, making it suitable for both leisure and business travelers. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserCompared to my stay at Ascott Chongqing during the Chinese New Year, this Wuhan location fell short in many aspects. **Pros:** Located above Wanda Plaza, ample parking, in-room washer and dryer, and well-equipped facilities. The lobby also has a tea and coffee bar with to-go cups, so you can take coffee and black tea with you. **Cons:** 1. Poor soundproofing in the room; significant traffic noise. 2. The evening staff on our check-in day had a poor attitude. In contrast, the morning staff on our check-out day was much more enthusiastic and resolved issues promptly. 3. Unreasonable holiday activity arrangements: Other guests checking in at the same time received sightseeing bus tickets. When I asked why our room didn't get them, I was told we could scan a QR code to book and didn't need tickets. I don't understand why, if the benefits are the same, they couldn't give a ticket to every room – it's just a piece of paper, if anything, it adds to the festive spirit. This kind of differential treatment feels really bad. The so-called 'Travel Warm-Heart Package' required choosing three items out of nine. This wasn't clearly stated on Ctrip, which feels a bit misleading. Even with the 'choose three' option, many items were missing. The staff even asked me to 'leave a good review, and I'll try my best to find it for you.' I don't understand this logic. Receiving the Warm-Heart Package is a right included in my booking. Does that mean if I don't leave a good review, they won't help me get it? 4. The pencil in the room was very sharp, and an elderly person cut their hand. 5. Breakfast was mediocre, not much to eat. The hot dry noodles were very salty, and there was so much soup they were more like noodle soup.

GGuest UserThe room was clean and hygienic, and they offered comforting congee in the evening. I stayed in a room with a floor-to-ceiling window, and I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time. I stayed for two days; the breakfast was good, the room was nice, the guest service was excellent, and the facilities were even better – great value for money. They also offer breakfast takeaway service before 7:00 AM (reservation required 1 day in advance), and a drop-off service to Wuhan Station (Monday to Saturday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM).

At the beginning of our stay there were a few issues and we had to change rooms twice, but the customer service was excellent throughout. AAnonymous UserCame to Yichang to see the Three Gorges and absolutely picked the right hotel! The location is incredible – super close to the Three Gorges Tourist Center, so catching an early boat was a breeze. Plus, Wanda Plaza is right next door, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The river view from the room was so therapeutic; opening the window revealed a magnificent panorama of the river. Watching the sunset over the water in the evening really enhanced the ambiance. The newly renovated room was clean and elegant, and even though it's a new hotel, there was hardly any new-building smell, and the air purifier was a thoughtful touch. Miss Shuangshuang at the front desk was very enthusiastic and efficient with the check-in. Breakfast had a wide variety, including hot dry noodles, baozi, and various porridges. It was great to fill up before heading out to explore the sights – so comfortable!

EEthan Matthew HuntI came from Canada due to my business trip, this is absolutely A Hidden Gem That Outshines Even the Hilton Below! I had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Wuhan Hanyang Beike Hotel—this place is a masterpiece of modern hospitality. If you’re looking for luxury without breaking the bank, look no further. Let’s start with the view: from my room, I had a breathtaking panorama of the Yangtze River, with a front-row seat to Wuhan’s cyberpunk-style skyline. The glowing bridges—including the Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge, Yangsigang Bridge, and Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge—light up the night like something out of a sci-fi movie. To top it off, you can even spot the historic Yellow Crane Tower, blending the ancient with the ultramodern in a way that’s visually stunning and emotionally moving. The interior design of the hotel is unbelievably sleek and luxurious—we’re talking five-star finishes, modern lighting, spotless wood flooring, elegant furniture, and a spa-like bathroom that feels straight out of a high-end design magazine. It’s the kind of place that makes you stop and say, “Wow,” the moment you walk in. I’ve stayed at the Hilton, located just downstairs, and while it’s fine, Beike Hotel blows it out of the water in terms of value, design, and overall experience. You’re getting a top-tier, modern boutique stay at a fraction of the cost. The staff, especially the warm and professional Ms. Liu, were incredibly helpful, attentive, and kind—service was impeccable. If you’re a traveler who appreciates unique experiences, luxury on a budget, and a fusion of futuristic style with rich cultural heritage, this is THE hotel to book in Wuhan. I can’t recommend it enough. I will definitely return, and when I do, I won’t even consider staying anywhere else.
