I was very satisfied with this hotel. I didn't have high expectations given the great price, but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. First, the room was quite spacious, and the toilet and shower were separate, which was very convenient. Also, the airport drop-off service was excellent; the driver had a great attitude and his driving skills were superb. Highly recommend it!
Facilities: First off, the facilities are incredibly new and fully smart-enabled. You just call out 'Xiao Bao' and it responds – quite amusing! Since my family is sensitive to cold, they even provided electric blankets, which was a very thoughtful touch.
Cleanliness: The hygiene was excellent; the bedding was spotless.
Environment: The environment here is fantastic! The fifth floor has a terrace, and the whole place feels like a cozy little cafe. You can even watch the 'Golden Mountain in the Morning Sun' from there!
Service: We booked this place last minute, and what a pleasant surprise! The ******* staff helped us with our luggage, and in the evening, they even prepared authentic and delicious handmade ******* butter tea in the rooftop sky garden. The hotel also has two adorable, goofy-looking dogs. The ******* staff were all really nice, humorous, and handsome! Because a family member wasn't feeling well, they even upgraded our room, showing great care for their guests' comfort. We'll definitely be back to stay here on our next trip to Lijiang!

The location is super convenient, really close to the subway station, and right next to a bustling commercial area. The room is high enough that you don't get bothered by the noise from the shops. It's a non-smoking room, very clean and tidy, and the bedding is so comfortable, I slept like a baby. The front desk staff, both the guys and girls, were really friendly and provided warm, thoughtful service. I guess it's the off-season before the winter holidays, because they even upgraded my room type – how lucky is that! I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

I had a truly pleasant stay at this hotel in Lijiang. The host Fei is extremely kind, warm, and helpful. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel very welcome and was always ready to assist with any questions, recommendations, or requests. He even helped to carry and bring our luggage to the hotel, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. His hospitality really made a big difference and added a personal touch to the stay.
The room was very cozy, clean, and comfortable. Everything was well maintained and thoughtfully arranged, which made it easy to relax and feel at home. I slept very well during my stay and appreciated the quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
The location is also very convenient. It is not far from the North Gate of Lijiang Old Town, making it easy to explore the area, find food, and move around without any hassle. At the same time, the hotel is in a calm area away from the crowds. Another great point is that airport pickup service is available, which made arrival much easier and stress free.
Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay in Lijiang. Great location, comfortable room, and an amazing host. Malaysian travelers, please come and stay at this hotel. You will not regret it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers and would happily stay here again on my next visit.

The host greeted us with peeled apples, which was very refreshing after a long journey and we arrived late at niaht so it was verv helpful to calm our stomachs. They also helped us bring the luggages (we brought a lot and was very heavy ).
The location is very steategic, super close to Lijiang Old Town and the environment is very quiet so it's super comfortable. Even though the accessibility is quite difficult especially for families with elders, but the hosts were super helpful and always available and ready to help 😊 Thank vou so much, host.
The room was super warm too despite the cold weather outside. And the view from my room was really beautiful too

A huge thank you to Anna at the hotel! We were in a real rush to catch our train to Kunming Station, and all three of our heavy suitcases were still at the hotel. If we'd gone back to pick them up, we would have definitely missed our train. We called the hotel hoping for a miracle, and after hearing our situation, Anna immediately sprang into action. She carefully calculated the traffic and delivery time, then arranged for a dedicated driver to bring our luggage straight to the station. After we successfully boarded our train, we tried to offer her a tip as a thank you, but she firmly refused. Her genuine thoughtfulness was incredibly touching!
This stay truly allowed us to experience the hotel's professional and sincere service. Anna and the hotel deserve a massive commendation!

It was a wonderful stay! The apartment was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a beautiful view. All amenities were available, and the building felt extremely safe with secure access and security.
The host was very friendly and responsive at all times. The price is excellent compared to others, and the location is great ..close to cafés and a nearby park.
Highly recommended! 🌟

Nice hotel with beautiful architecture. The room amenities is good, with almost everything you need including even a humidifier which is great especially for a very dry climate in winter. Near to the hotel there is also a nice steamboat buffet if you want a quick meal.
The only down side is that the hotel doesn’t have a lift. But the staff would carry the luggages up for you. If you need directions, the
Our stay in this luxury bedroom suite was a memorable experience, largely due to the exceptional accommodations.
The suite itself was nothing short of spectacular—incredibly spacious and warmly appointed. The layout was impeccably designed, featuring a foyer, a living area, a comfortable bedroom, and a walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom was a highlight, with a separate water closet, a vanity area with a deep-soaking bathtub, and a separate, spacious double shower room. The private outdoor sitting area that led to a huge, rejuvenating hot spring was the crown jewel of the suite.
It's important to note the location within the Dong Feng Yun Scenic Area. A significant benefit is that the hotel provides the scenic area entrance ticket and transport to and from the gate, which is excellent. However, its setting means it is quite far from Jianshui's Old Town and other key locations. This can be inconvenient when you wish to visit other spots or find dining options outside the hotel.
A major logistical issue we encountered was with return trips. When trying to get back to the hotel, most taxi drivers requested a top-up payment, as they would have to return to the city center without a passenger.
Service at the hotel was generally good; the staff were prompt and attentive upon our arrival and throughout our stay. However, we noted a noticeable drop in attentiveness during the checkout process.
A minor point to note is the centralized A/C system, which meant we couldn't control the room temperature individually. That said, the provision of a standing fan was a thoughtful and effective solution.
The food at the hotel's restaurant was acceptable, though it didn't quite match the exceptional standard of the suite itself.
Overall, this is a truly magnificent property for the space and privacy it offers, but its remote location requires careful planning and extra budget for transportation.

The team led by Mr. Liu was genuinely warm and helpful. Although their English is kinda limited, their willingness to assist in every possible way more than made up for it.
The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. We spent New Year’s Eve there, watching the dark sky come alive with countless fireworks shimmering in the distance. It was a beautiful moment.
You should stay here to experience once in-a-lifetime moment :)

Rraymond200909On the positive side, the hotel has quite a few recreational facilities, and the room amenities are decent and relatively new.
On the negative side, the biggest problem is the excessive dampness in the room. It was uncomfortable to sleep in, and although the hotel changed the bedding, it didn't help much. This might be due to the humid air during the rainy season in Xishuangbanna, but two things puzzled me: 1) The front desk said no one else had reported this issue before. 2) I stayed at three hotels during this trip, and Zhucheng was the third. The other two were right next to Zhucheng, and their rooms didn't feel noticeably damp.
Also, the hotel room didn't pay enough attention to some details. The sofa arrangement prevented the curtains from closing completely automatically; I had to manually close them. The refrigerator was also quite noisy, which affected my sleep.

UUlysess444The hotel's facilities and services are excellent, with many thoughtful details that really show they care about guests. The way to activate the power is unique; instead of inserting a card into a narrow slot, you place it on a tray with a groove at the bottom, which is much simpler, especially in dim lighting. There are plenty of hangers and various surfaces to place your belongings. The smart room control system is very user-friendly, allowing individual control of lights in different areas. The 'disposable' slippers are fantastic – clean, comfortable, and environmentally friendly. The room has a mix of wooden flooring and small area rugs, offering the comfort of a carpet while being easy to keep clean, which is much better than fully carpeted rooms. The toilet is the best I've encountered in a hotel; the heated seat is just the right temperature, not too hot, and the flush is quiet yet very effective. While the wide front of the seat and the automatic sensor for opening and closing the lid aren't groundbreaking features, they significantly enhance the user experience. The shower controls are a bit unique, with two separate switches for the handheld and overhead showerheads. This means you can't control water flow and temperature simultaneously, but you get used to it. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be the toilet paper – it lacks elasticity and tears easily.

MM376313****The environment here is comfortable and quiet, offering a lovely view of the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise' (Rizhao Jinshan). It's just a few minutes' walk from the ancient town, so it's not noisy. Every staff member is warm and welcoming, and they offer a lot of helpful advice and information, which made for a very relaxing and pleasant stay. The dining and afternoon tea were excellent. This was a fantastic accommodation experience and highly recommended.
GGuest UserAlthough Xi Shuang Ban Na UrCove claims they are a smoke-free hotel, from what I have seen this is not really true. I suggest People who are allergic to cigarette smoke or have health issues related to cigarette smoke definitely go somewhere else. I saw guests as well as hotel employees openly smoking in the front lobby of this hotel. Front desk clerks and supervisor saw this but not only said nothing to the offenders but when I complained about this, the front desk clerk ignored me and glared at me for complaining.
Bedroom: very spacious and clean. beddings and sheets were very clean and comfortable.
Toilet: was a very new style and with a temperature toilet seat
Shower area: It was a disaster. The glass panel dividing the toilet and the shower area was poorly installed, so water from the shower area leaked everywhere. It was quite dangerous because the floor outside the shower was a smooth piece of floor tile. My wife almost slipped and fell down. We immediately told the front desk that night, and all they did was send someone to wipe up the water that's all. There was no follow-up after that.
Breakfast: This has got to be the worst hotel I have ever been to regarding breakfast. The majority of the breakfast items were Chinese food which I have no complaints about, although I do not eat Chinese breakfast. The biggest problem was, when we went for breakfast after 9:15 am there were lots of emptied food containers and plates which was used to hold breakfast food items. Breakfast was supposed to end at 10:00 am. 9:15 am NO croissant, Not even a simple slice of bread which I can make toast with. I also checked the Chinese food items and lots of containers were emptied as well. I then went to ask a staff where I could at least get a piece of bread. Her answer was, there isn't anymore sliced bread and what you see is what you get. There was hardly anything to eat?!?!?! I was furious and I demanded to have a couple of pieces of sliced bread. In the end, kitchen staff Mr. Wang came to my rescue and cooked me and my wife each two fried eggs. On top of it, Mr. Wang went out to get me sliced bread from outside the hotel so that my wife will at least have something to eat for breakfast. On the second day of breakfast, there was no coffee after 9:15 am as the coffee machine went into cleaning mode for at least half an hour. The chief of Chef did end up helping me to get a cup of coffee but from what I can see, this hotel is NOT ready to receive international guests.
Totally disappointed in the Urcove Xi Shuang Ban Na. Totally not the Hyatt standard at all. I really believe Hyatt management in Texas really should not take the risk of damaging their great brand by letting this hotel be branded with Hyatt's Name. The way this Xi Shuang Ban Na Urcove is operating, they are worse than locally managed/owned hotels.
OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made.
The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car.
When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff.
The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion.
This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time!
One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay.
Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.
MM31726****Overall, the service was okay, but it definitely fell short compared to my previous Banyan Tree experiences in other cities. The most noticeable difference was in the restaurant. I arrived for breakfast around 8 AM, and there were only three guests including myself, yet there were more staff than guests. They were all just standing around, and not a single one proactively offered assistance. No one came to ask if I wanted tea or coffee, nor did anyone introduce the restaurant's specialties or offer a menu to order from. When I asked a server if they had butter tea, the response was a blunt 'No!', with no mention of their coffee made from special Yunnan beans. I then asked if there was a 'hidden menu' with specialties like rice noodles, egg white omelets, or Eggs Benedict. The front desk replied, 'No, those are all visible at the buffet.' So, aren't the special cards placed on the tables meant to highlight the restaurant's unique dishes? This level of service might be acceptable for a four-star restaurant, but this is Banyan Tree... On a positive note, the scenery was lovely. The outdoor landscape design with flowing water and towering trees was quiet, secluded, and offered good privacy. The room had large glass windows at the front and back, but also wooden doors that could be drawn for privacy. However, the red light on the ceiling looked quite strange when turned on at night.
PpinkrippleThere is free pick-up from the airport, and there is a shuttle bus for visiting Gaozhuang. It is very convenient and the service is very good. There is also a swimming pool on the roof, and the environment is very good, especially the night view. The breakfast is generally good, with quite a lot of variety. I really like their rice noodles. The laundry room is a bit run down, so if there's nothing special about it, try not to use it.
2202328****This guesthouse is right next to Dali Old Town, just a few minutes' walk away. It's a quiet oasis amidst the bustling old town, perfect for experiencing its charm. The rooms are incredibly cozy and clean, and each even has a small table and chairs for relaxing and soaking up the sun – a really thoughtful touch. From check-in to check-out, every day here was filled with warm, attentive care. The owner is a veteran, and when he was around, he'd often offer to drive me to the nearby bus station, which was super considerate. The common areas are designed with such attention to detail; every corner is a photo opportunity. I highly recommend this guesthouse!
MM370753****The location is super easy to find, just follow the navigation. There's an underground parking lot, and the staff service was exceptional. They helped with our luggage, were incredibly warm and welcoming, and even recommended local eateries and markets. The room was clean and tidy, with a fantastic view, offering direct views of Erhai Lake and perfect for sunset watching. It was a really great experience! I'd recommend driving if you can, as getting around might be a bit far otherwise. But you can always order takeout!
GGuest UserI just want to show my appreciation to the staff at the motel!
First of all, the staff was super nice and attentive! She spoke softly and gently.
And most importantly, we booked for the most expensive type of room, and it’s definitely worth it! The view was amazing!!!
The room was also spotlessly clean, with heater and humidifier (which are crucial in winter)
Honestly, there is not much in the neighbourhood, but I did enjoy the quietness and peaceful moments there! We took a free taxi (offered by the staff) and visited lijiang old town (around 20 mins away)
The breakfast was good enough (given it’s a small motel) My kids got their portion of breakfast for free too. And the staff kept asking if we needed more!
I wish I had stayed for 1-2 days so I could have more time to enjoy the peaceful time!
Will surely recommend this place!
