Just a short walk away is the farmer's market, offering delicious fruits and unique Yunnan snacks. Yunnan University's former site (Southwest Associated University) is also nearby. The flower cakes are amazing, and the mushroom fried rice at the cafe is absolutely superb! Facilities: There's a washing machine available. Cleanliness: Spotless. Environment: Comfortable, felt just like home. Service: They provided small gifts like hair ties and bandaids. The staff member who helped me with my luggage when I checked in was incredibly kind, and I was so touched! They also helped me mail some items when I left, which I'm very grateful for – truly, thank you so much! They have a billiards table and a ping-pong table here! I also met some friendly people, making for a very happy stay. The old street in Yunnan is definitely worth exploring. I took a photo of the hostel from outside; the bougainvillea is beautiful. The cafe menu even has the hostel's love story, which I found very touching.

The room was clean and tidy, with complete amenities and a well-thought-out layout that was convenient to use. The self-service laundry was a lifesaver for guests. The hotel staff were attentive and had excellent attitudes, making guests feel right at home. The hotel's surroundings boasted incredibly convenient transportation and perfect commercial facilities. There were also many attractions nearby, such as Cuihu Park and Kunming Old Street, allowing us to experience the convenience of living and traveling.

1. **Location & Transportation:** The location is great, right downstairs from Jinma Biji Archway. It's quiet despite being in a bustling area, making it very convenient for getting around. 2. The decor isn't new, nor is it old. It's well-maintained and clean, and the common areas are kept up very nicely. 3. **Service Attitude:** The bar staff, especially the younger guy, has a great service attitude and is very responsive (though the supervisor wasn't very friendly and seemed to treat guests differently). 4. The bedding is decent and comfortable. The bed curtains are blackout, so they don't disturb your sleep. 5. Overall, it offers great value for money.

Very nice hotel in a central location, close to the North gate. We stayed here the two nights before our trekking in the Tiger Leaping Gorge and the two nights after coming back from the trekking. For our second stay we received a free upgrade of the room. This time we had a balcony and a bathtub. The room was a bit more at the front of the hotel so also a bit noisier during the evening and night. And light was coming in through the bathroom window. But it did not bother us and we slept very well as the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is terrific. We would definitely come back here for our next stay. Highly recommended!

Our independent trip to Yunnan concluded in Kunming, our final stop. We chose the Four Points by Sheraton Kunming, City Center because it's right next to Kunming's old town, placing us in the most vibrant part of downtown. Adjacent to it is the upscale Shuncheng Shopping Mall, and the Wuyi Road Station (Exit B) of Metro Line 3 is just 200 meters away. We stayed on the 28th floor, offering fantastic views of the Jinma Biji Archway, both day and night. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering advice on transportation and tourist attractions from a local's perspective. I really appreciate their assistance. The room was very clean, with a wide selection of live TV channels. The bathroom had modern shower facilities, and the bed and other amenities were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. A short 10-minute walk takes you to the 'Paper-Thin Buildings' in Kunming's old town (such as Duiyue Tower and Jiubei Tower, built to commemorate the 1946 victory in the Anti-Japanese War), which are quite lively in the evening. Nearby, you can also find the former residence of Mr. Nie Er (born in Kunming, he passed away at 23). The pedestrian area boasts many excellent restaurants, coffee shops, tea houses, and bars, making it easy to find good food and enjoy some leisure time.

My sister and I picked the perfect hotel for our trip to Kunming! It's only a 5-minute walk from the subway station, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions, and we felt safe returning late at night. Breakfast goes until 10 AM, so no need to rush, and the freshly ground coffee was lovely. The mattress was so soft and comfortable, we slept like a dream. The front desk staff even shared some local, lesser-known spots to explore, which made our solo time incredibly enjoyable. The front desk was also incredibly responsive. Breakfast was great too. Definitely recommend it, thumbs up!

InterContinental Xishuangbanna Resort Review The InterContinental Xishuangbanna boasts an excellent location on the former site of the Dai King's Palace, immersing guests in a rich Dai-Thai atmosphere. Upon entering, it feels like stepping into a tropical paradise. The resort grounds are expansive, lush with greenery, and peacocks roam freely, making every turn a picturesque photo opportunity. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, featuring private balconies with scenic views. The decor incorporates ethnic elements, and the bedding and bathroom amenities are high-quality. Soundproofing and privacy are also excellent. Breakfast offers a wide variety, including local Dai snacks, as well as Chinese and Western dishes, all tasting great. Family-friendly facilities are top-notch, with ample swimming pools, children's activities, and cultural experiences. The service is warm and attentive. Overall, it offers great value for money and a full resort experience, making it a prime choice for luxury accommodation in Xishuangbanna. Highly recommended! The staff at the front desk were all super friendly and polite, and they even offered to help carry my luggage upstairs. There's a snow mountain viewing deck on the fifth floor with a restaurant; dining there while watching the sunrise was incredibly enjoyable. The B&B also provided breakfast with delicious rice noodles, hot porridge, and snacks. Afternoon tea included fruit, beef jerky, and other treats. In the evening, I was most looking forward to the ******* butter tea experience, which was very relaxing. The B&B also prepared a variety of ******* snacks, and guests could chat and socialize together. I stayed in a snow mountain view room this time, and I could see the snow-capped mountains right from my window! I even got to witness the 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' phenomenon in the morning. Finally, the room was spacious and very clean, and they even provided a Dyson hairdryer – the whole experience was truly excellent! It's also just a 10-minute walk from Lijiang Ancient Town!

A very nice inn located at the peak of the Lijiang Old Town. We stayed here for 3 nights and have no complaints, we slept peacefully. Although, the room might not be as nice as the picture but it is only some small cosmetic issue after years of wear like peeled off paint, chipped off grout. The caretaker is very nice, bringing our luggage from the nearest car drop off point to the hotel, comes up with nice recommendations and is also very friendly inviting us to have tea to chat. There is a famous hotpot place right next to the hotel. Another cool thing is that, there is an observation deck just 50m away from the hotel to see the sunrise from the deck. We also experienced the old town in the early morning before the crowd comes.

The hotel's guest services called a day in advance to ask about our estimated arrival time, if there were any elderly guests, and any special needs. It's clear the hotel really values guests' requirements. 👍🏼 The hotel environment is excellent, with good greenery, and staff are always maintaining it. Plus, every corner of the hotel is super photogenic! 😆 The front desk staff quickly processed our check-in and even upgraded our room for free! 👍🏼 They also explained all the important details clearly. 😎 The room was clean and tidy, with a great wet/dry separation and an amazing ambiance. I have to say, both the hotel's interior and the rooms are incredibly picturesque! 😛 The hotel breakfast offered both Western options and Yunnan's special rice noodles, and it was consistently good every morning. 😊 All the hotel staff were very friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. 👍🏼 From the environment, cleanliness, facilities, to the service, my family and I were extremely satisfied.
