Guest UserWe had a great stay here! The building itself is older, but itâs very obvious that the hotel has been newly renovated. Everything felt clean and fresh , the room was spacious, the furniture looked brand new, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming.
One of the highlights for our family was the game room, which was perfect for keeping the kids entertained. The amenities were also excellent, and the customer service was outstanding from check-in to check-out.
A huge bonus was the free EV charging, which made our trip even more convenient. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to come back again!

Guest UserThe hotel room wasn't very spacious, but its proximity to the airport was a huge plus. It's just a ten-minute drive away. The hotel offers a shuttle bus, but make sure to book in advance, as it can get fully booked. There are also many restaurants nearby, making the location excellent. With the SkyTrain and various bus routes close by, it's a very convenient hotel. They offer breakfast; although the selection isn't huge, it's enough to fill you up, and there's free-flowing coffee and hot chocolate, which is a nice touch. The rooms also come with a microwave, so you can bring food back to eat. Overall, it's a good hotel.

My family of four with children has some business to do in Campbell River, so there are some inconveniences with the one-day reservation facility, but overall it's good.

Pianist with no handsThis hotel was built in 1885 with historical background according to the pictures on the wall. It would be more informative if there was a more thorough descriptions next to the pictures and become a museum like Inn.
We stayed in the Superior King room with balcony, the river view was excellent. This little town is very tranquil with relaxing vibe. We loved to stay in the balcony, unfortunately, there is no any BBQ or stove for cooking here, or we would love to stay more days. There is also no sun umbrella or shaded place in the balcony, and it could be very bright and hot even during 11C in the summer.
Our room is the closest to the car park, but we canât access the stairs directly down to the car park. Instead, we had to detour in the hotel, walked the a few levels of stairs with passing two doors to the car park. There are more than a dozen of stairs in the hotel. Elderly and anyone with leg or back problems need to be aware of it.
â¨Our room has been renovated recently. Everything maintains in very good condition, besides of the air conditioning. The air conditioning system was connected to another three rooms in the same isle. If any of the room turns on the heater while everyone is using the cool mode, the air conditioning will be shown in error.
Thanks for Meghan that she was willing to come back to the hotel for us in 5 mins even it was out of her work time. She has been very helpful and nice during our stay. She is the best front desk I have seen on this island.
We were happy with our stay, even we noticed that the noisy music from the pub right under the hotel level not only on in the weekend until midnight. However, we felt that compressor next to us had been noisy all day. We only felt quiet after we turned off the bathroom ventilator, air conditioning and closed the window.
There was also two washing machines and one dryer on site charging only CAD$2 for each laundry. I think this is the cheapest laundry service on the island.
The last but not least is the bath towels. We canât stand with it snowing with crushes. I would suggest people bringing their towels. And the water pressure was too weak like a garden pot watering.

The hotel's location is excellent, no complaints there! The bus stop for Vancouver is conveniently located right behind the building, on the main road. If you're taking a seaplane to Vancouver, the terminal is just a 5-minute walk from the front door â super convenient! Chinatown is about a 10-minute walk, and a nearby commercial street is just 5 minutes away on foot. Frankie's breakfast, freshly made, was absolutely fantastic!
The hotel facilities are a bit dated, and the hallways have a slight old-building smell. The room itself was spacious enough, but the bathroom in my room was tiny. It was difficult to move around, especially if you're on the larger side, and the exhaust fan wasn't working. The bathtub drain also had to be opened manually. The bathroom also lacked separate wet and dry areas.
There was no kettle in the room, only a coffee machine. However, there's an ice machine on the same floor if you need ice or water.

Absolutely stunning view. Cabin was older but very charming, we made the most of the fireplace in the room and enjoyed a view of the lake from our balcony. Bathroom was clean with everything we needed. Coffee also provided in the room which was nice. I read the beds were uncomfortable on other reviews and Iâd partially agree - not the best but again not the main reason or expectation for visiting emerald lake. I will say the pillows were extremely thin and uncomfortable.Â
Staff were very friendly and attentive. Shuttle service was easy. Restaurant was pricey but overall good. No wifi or signal in the room is something to be aware of, but heightened the experience in my opinion. Overall, great!

The room was spacious, and the hotel is about an 8-10 minute walk from the station, which makes getting to and from the airport on the Canada Line very convenient. The room was clean, and the front desk staff were friendly and enthusiastic.

Mikki LizIt was my second time staying at this hotel.
There were two things I really needed to mention.
First, I turned on Netflix and started watching a movie around 8:00pm but I fell asleep shortly after. Around 9pm someone started knocking on my door very loudly, which woke me up. I then heard someone outside saying, âHey, lower the volume.â
I was honestly super confused because the TV wasnât even that loud???? and the knocking itself was louder than the TV and was what actually woke me up. I didnât open the door because I found it creepy.
After that, I called my friend, and he suggested I contact the front desk. When I called, the lady told me their housekeeper had already checked and there was nobody in the lobby anymore (which makes sense because it had happened around 20 minutes earlier). She also said other people shouldnât be able to access guest floors without a key card. When I asked whether anyone staying beside me had complained, she said nobody was staying next to my room, and the guest next door had only just checked in.
Maybe it was just someone passing by, but it was still really weird and uncomfortable. Iâve stayed in many hotels in different countries and have never experienced something like this before.
The second issue was that both the internet and TV stopped working at night and were still not working the next morning when I checked out, which was really frustrating. I mentioned it during checkout, and the front desk staff simply said the whole building was having the same issue and they were trying to fix it đĽ˛
The good thing is theyâve now fixed the access issue, so everyone needs a key card to access their floor.
The hotel itself is brand new, very quiet, and clean, which is why I chose to stay here again. Since itâs owned by Hilton, I honestly expected the staff to be a bit more professional when speaking to customers.
The housekeeping staff were all super friendly though.
