"Views are really good. Overall experience ok but there is no lift from carpark to lobby, only staircase.. recommend to drop luggage before going down to basement carpark else you have to carry up which is quite inconvenient Another downside is soundproof not really good. Especially when the crew cleaning room beside, we can hear the vacuum and some noise early in the morning around 8-9am 😔"

"Despite the comfortable bed and pillows, as well as the spacious bathroom, my overall stay was rather disappointing. The room was much smaller than expected, and the small window faced a wall instead of offering a city view, making the room feel quite enclosed. The lobby had an unpleasant smell, and the reception experience could have been warmer and more welcoming. The parking area was also poorly maintained—it was dark, had an unpleasant odor, and the parking bays were very narrow and difficult to navigate. The highlights of the stay were the above-average  buffet breakfast with a wide variety of choices and the hotel’s strategic location. Unfortunately, these positives were not enough to outweigh the overall experience."

"For our anniversary trip to Penang, I contacted the hotel in advance via email. They arranged anniversary decorations, gifted us a cake, and upgraded our room, which made us feel very cared for and warm. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of George Town, within walking distance to all the nearby attractions. Breakfast was abundant with a wide variety of choices. Upon check-in, we received two 10 MYR vouchers for use within the hotel, which could be combined. We used them for room service, which was very convenient. Choosing The Wembley was the best decision of our Penang trip. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on future visits to Penang and will recommend it to others too."

"The hotel is conveniently located right next to The TOP, Penang's iconic circular skyscraper, making it easy to navigate back to, especially during evening strolls. Directly opposite is the GAMA supermarket, and next door is 1st Avenue Mall. There are also plenty of restaurants across the street, offering great convenience for shopping and dining. A 10-minute walk to the right will lead you to several durian shops, New Lane Hawker Centre, and the Sun Yat-Sen Museum. Turning left, you can walk to the famous Street Art area, which isn't just about murals; every corner is photo-worthy, and the shops are fantastic for browsing, truly capturing the essence of Penang. The hotel breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it's sufficient. The noodle bar offers various delicious options, and I also tried the freshly made roti with dipping sauce, which was quite good."

"Actually quite disappointed for them to arrange big group of ppl check in at the same time and room is not ready at 4pm which is unacceptable. Majority of room check out at 12pm and you only allow for check in at 3pm. So is fine, but you should get ready all the rooms already. You already aware that, 27/6 check in should be very crowded due to concert event. Seems like your team is not ready. Besides, room clean, bed and pillow is nice."

"Everything of this hotel is all good, the location, the environment. In the radius of one kilometer you can get anything all kind of food either morning or at night, convenient store, the shopping mall, souvenir shop. There is only one thing that I have problem with. The double bed that I have is a little bit of shaky and making sound every time I flip my body .. you know especially at night, it makes things uncomfortable. The hotel should have to do something about this. Over all things are excellent, I recommend this hotel and would come back again."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It also came with complimentary bottled water, a fridge, a cozy living room with a TV, and a separate dining area, making it feel just like home. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city, with most attractions only a 10–15 minute drive away. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shopping malls nearby, so everything you need is within easy reach. Overall, it’s a comfortable and convenient place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area."

"Stayed at My Hotel Bukit Mertajam for a short trip. The hotel is quite basic but clean and comfortable. The location is convenient with food and shops nearby. Overall it’s an average stay, but for the price it offers good value for money. Suitable for a short stay if you just need a simple place to rest."

"Overall, I had a very pleasant stay here. Ambience & Design The hotel has a classic, old-world charm. Although the building shows its age, it has been very well maintained. The lobby looks elegant and gives off a premium atmosphere. Service One of the highlights of this hotel is the staff. Every employee I encountered was polite, friendly, and very helpful. Their hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. Facilities The swimming pool is large and very clean. The gym is also decent for a hotel gym, although the weight selection is somewhat limited for those who prefer heavier training. One small issue I noticed was that after it rained, I saw mushrooms growing along the corridor outside the rooms and there was a slight musty smell in certain areas. 😅 Room I booked a sea-view room and the view was absolutely beautiful. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained. The only downside is the carpet, which makes the room feel a little dated. While everything appeared clean, the carpet looked worn and slightly stained. Cleanliness: 4/5 Overall cleanliness was good and everything looked clean to the naked eye. Breakfast Breakfast was one of the better parts of the stay. There was a wide variety of choices, including Western, Indian, Malay, and Chinese dishes. However, if you arrive late, some popular items may already be gone. I missed out on the dim sum because it had run out by the time I arrived. 😅 Overall The hotel is comfortable, well maintained, and located in a convenient area. Despite showing some signs of age, the excellent service and overall atmosphere made the stay enjoyable. Overall Rating: 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A comfortable hotel with beautiful sea views, excellent staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely consider staying here again."

"I really enjoyed my stay at Mercure Penang Beach. It was the perfect place for our little babymoon trip. The staff were amazing - all of them were so friendly, attentive, and the hospitality was outstanding. They made sure we had everything we needed and responded to us very quickly. I also made a special request for honeymoon arrangements, and I was so touched when the staff came to our room with a chocolate cake. It was such a sweet surprise that made our stay even more memorable and happy. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and the overall experience was fantastic.
