"The hotel is located right by the sea with direct access to the beach, offering a fantastic environment. It's very clean, and the rooms are comfortable. The king-size bed is huge, probably over 2 meters, easily accommodating our family of three without feeling cramped. Breakfast gets extremely busy, especially during peak times, and you might have to queue. However, the selection is extensive. The hotel also offers a buffet dinner for 198 MYR per person, with two adults getting one child free, available on Friday and Saturday evenings. While the variety isn't huge, all the essentials are there. There are restaurants on both sides of the hotel beach, all featuring fire shows. It's lively outside the hotel, but the rooms themselves are very quiet. The large balcony is lovely, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea. The hotel is quite far from both the airport and the town center, about an hour to the airport and 50 minutes to town. Taxis are readily available though."

"My overall experience at Jazz Hotel Penang was great. The room was spacious and clean, the facilities were well-maintained, and the bed was comfortable, making for a very relaxing stay. The hotel's location is convenient, with shopping malls, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby. It's also easy to get to George Town or other attractions. The rooftop pool and the overall ambiance are quite unique, offering good value for money. The only minor drawback was that parking was a bit difficult to find, especially during peak check-in times. I had to spend some time waiting or driving around to find a spot. If you're driving, I'd recommend allocating some extra time for parking. Overall, it's a hotel I'd recommend, and I would consider staying here again on my next trip to Penang."

"The room was clean and spacious. The bed was also clean and large. The private pool in the room was clean, as was the toilet and the large, clean bathtub. It was a great stay for families. My room didn't have any Charlie ants. The only downside was the breakfast, which had a limited time slot – only an hour – so it felt rushed to get food. I would definitely repeat my stay."

"The hotel's facilities are exceptional. On a clear day, the sea view is absolutely stunning, with a vast ocean panorama right outside the room window. If the weather is good, you can even catch the sunset. I gave the facilities five stars because there are two swimming pools: one children's pool with a small slide, and a sky pool more suitable for adults. You can order food by the sky pool, and it's quite good. Additionally, for families with children, there's a kids' playground with various activities. Children aged five and above can be looked after, allowing adults to go to the gym or do other things, which is a very thoughtful service. I only gave the hotel's location and cleanliness three stars. The location is quiet but there's nothing else nearby. Typically, beachfront hotels are closer to night markets, especially this one which is quite secluded. The hotel does offer a shuttle service, but when I enquired, they didn't mention the need for a reservation, and there was only one scheduled trip. I arrived 15 minutes early only to be told I needed a reservation, and by then, it was full. Luckily, a 10-minute taxi ride still works. Regarding cleanliness, the room attendant didn't clean properly. Leftover takeout food was still in the room, which was quite disappointing."

"Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa is an ideal choice for a vacation in Penang. The entire resort is enveloped by lush, tropical gardens and boasts a private beach. From your window, you'll see swaying coconut trees and the Andaman Sea, with the evening sunsets being especially therapeutic. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the bedding is soft and conducive to a good night's sleep. The resort's pools and relaxation areas are well-maintained. Breakfast offers a rich and diverse selection, with plenty of Southeast Asian specialties. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the hotel environment is tranquil and relaxing. There's no need to rush around; simply strolling through the gardens or enjoying the sea breeze by the beach is incredibly destressing. It's perfect for a slow-paced, relaxing getaway. I highly recommend staying here in Penang for a wonderful seaside experience."

"This hotel offers great value for money. The location is excellent, right opposite Komtar. You can just take the free CAT bus across the road to get there. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Kimberley Street Market (Pasar 7 Jalan) and GAMA Supermarket is just a block away. Chulia Street (汕头街) is also within a 15-minute walk. The hotel service is also very good. Our flight was delayed due to a typhoon, and after communicating with the hotel via the platform, they arranged for staff to wait for us until around 1 AM. Check-in was very quick. The room is spacious, and the facilities are good. The swimming pool, in particular, has received awards. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance!"

"I had a pleasant stay at Gurney Bay Hotel. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, which made the check-in and overall experience smooth. The highlight was definitely the view - straight out to the Gurney sea, which was beautiful and relaxing. I understand the hotel's vintage concept, but the room was below my expectation, especially since it was labelled as a partner with Parkroyal. That said, the room was very clean, which appreciated. On the positive side, the parking system was very convenient, just scan the car plate number and you're done. Overall, great service and location with a lovely sea view, but the room quality could be improved to better reflect the partnership branding."

"Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The room was comfortable, and we really enjoyed the hi-tea that was delivered to our room. The breakfast was also tasty with a good selection of food. However, one concern was the security of our room. The room we stayed in could be accessed directly from the swimming pool area, and it didn’t feel secure because it couldn’t be properly locked from the outside when we left. We felt that anyone could potentially enter from the poolside, which was quite worrying. Another area that needs improvement is the breakfast service. While the food itself was delicious, the service at the breakfast area was noticeably lacking and could be more attentive and efficient. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but improving the room security and breakfast service would make the experience much better."

"We arrived at the hotel on August 3rd, early in the morning, and were warmly welcomed by a lovely and friendly female staff member. 😍😍😍 She arranged for us to check into room 4325. Although there was a language barrier, we managed to communicate simply using our phones 😀😀😀😀, and she assigned us to a room we were happy with. We had originally booked a windowless room, but the kind staff member offered to upgrade us to a room with a window for free. 😊🥰🥰🥰. However, upon entering the room, there were no toothbrushes. So, we went down to the lobby, and the kind staff member immediately provided us with some. But then, on the second night, after returning to the hotel from our activities, housekeeping still hadn't replenished the toothbrushes. With no other option, we went back to the front desk to ask for them. It was quite embarrassing. The male staff member there had no issues and immediately provided them to us. 😁😁 Since we only discovered the missing amenities late at night after returning to the hotel, on the third day, we went to the front desk to pick them up around noon. However, the staff member with glasses wearing a white uniform had a very bad attitude today. He said the room should have amenities and refused to give us any. As a result, when we went back to our room, it hadn't even been cleaned, let alone having the amenities replenished. Actually, these are minor issues, but since the hotel booking stated that amenities would be provided, we didn't bring our own. It's already quite embarrassing to have to go down to the lobby every time we return to our room and find no amenities. And that male staff member in the white uniform even gave us a look and had a terrible attitude. I'm actually very satisfied with the hotel's convenient location and the attitude of the general staff, and I was very happy. Although one staff member's attitude made me very unhappy and felt as if they were looking down on people. I hope the hotel realizes that if a customer needs amenities, and the hotel itself has failed to replenish them, and the customer isn't asking for extra, then their attitude should be a bit better. And they should still maintain a smile!"
