"This hotel was by far the best and most satisfying of my entire trip to Malaysia! The environment is fantastic, and the hotel itself is beautiful. The room was large, clean, and came with a balcony overlooking the sea. The bed was incredibly comfortable – I even took a picture of the mattress brand so I can buy one for myself! Breakfast was also good; I ended up having both breakfast and lunch there for the first two days, haha. The restaurant also offers sea views. While the variety isn't massive, there's definitely enough to eat. If you're visiting Penang to see Penang Hill and Batu Ferringhi Beach, this is a great place to stay. It's a bit less convenient for George Town, but for my three days in Penang, this location offered the best experience. George Town, on the other hand, didn't leave a great impression on me; it was very congested and hot, lacking any sense of a relaxed pace. This hotel, though, truly felt like a vacation! Excellent value for money."

"Here's I had a wonderful stay here for 2 nights and honestly have nothing negative to say about my experience. The hotel's location is excellent and one of its biggest advantages. It is conveniently situated close to many of Georgetown's most popular attractions, restaurants, cafes, street art spots, and local landmarks, making it very easy to explore the area on foot without needing transportation. The check-in and check-out process was quick, smooth, and hassle-free. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and always happy to assist with any questions or requests. Their friendly attitude made me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout my stay. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable visit. Although the room was slightly compact, it was thoughtfully designed and made good use of the available space. All the facilities and amenities worked perfectly, including the air conditioning, Wi-Fi, lighting, and bathroom facilities, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, which allowed me to relax after a full day of exploring Georgetown. The combination of a great location, clean rooms, efficient service, and friendly staff made this hotel a fantastic choice for both short and longer stays. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would not hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to Penang. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable stay in the heart of Georgetown!"

"For our anniversary trip to Penang, I contacted the hotel in advance via email. They arranged anniversary decorations, gifted us a cake, and upgraded our room, which made us feel very cared for and warm. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of George Town, within walking distance to all the nearby attractions. Breakfast was abundant with a wide variety of choices. Upon check-in, we received two 10 MYR vouchers for use within the hotel, which could be combined. We used them for room service, which was very convenient. Choosing The Wembley was the best decision of our Penang trip. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on future visits to Penang and will recommend it to others too."

"The hotel's location is great. During my three-day stay, I could easily walk to Mural Street every day, and enjoy durian and highly-rated restaurants at my leisure. There's also a shopping mall nearby with a supermarket, Watsons, and an ATM for currency exchange. The weekend art market is also within easy walking distance. The hotel breakfast was good. Each day, there was a local specialty dish prepared outside the lobby that you could go and pick up yourself, along with freshly squeezed juice. There's also a piano in the lobby on the first floor, with performances in the evenings."

"Actually quite disappointed for them to arrange big group of ppl check in at the same time and room is not ready at 4pm which is unacceptable. Majority of room check out at 12pm and you only allow for check in at 3pm. So is fine, but you should get ready all the rooms already. You already aware that, 27/6 check in should be very crowded due to concert event. Seems like your team is not ready. Besides, room clean, bed and pillow is nice."

"Rating: 3/5 – Good budget option Perfect location – right next to Kimberley Street’s famous night food stalls. Where the four heavenly king is. A bonus for foodie. Rooms are clean but dated, thin walls, and some have no windows. Staff are fine. Skip the basic breakfast. Great for short stays and on lower budget. Check out the restaurant next door. Recommend. And also within 5 mins walk to shopping mall."

"I had a wonderful stay at The Granite Luxury Hotel Penang. The hotel offers spacious, clean, and beautifully designed rooms that provide both comfort and luxury. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore George Town and nearby attractions. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. One of the highlights of my stay was the overall comfort and relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. The facilities were well maintained, and the room was equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The hotel offers great value for money and exceeded my expectations in many ways. "Seriously, this place is amazing! This hotel is right in the city center. I booked it for one night for an interview at IPG. Even though it was a 22-minute drive to my destination, the service was incredibly good. I called to ask for an iron and ironing board, and it was delivered almost instantly. Even though the hotel owner is Chinese, the staff are excellent and well-trained. The room was clean, the air conditioning was strong, there was hot water, and safety was ensured with a guard at the lobby at night. The only downside was the broken hairdryer. Please improve that! They even let me upgrade from a triple room to a deluxe room (with 4 beds) on the spot! I got the room access card right away, I didn't think that would be possible. So far, it's been great. There's a Coway water dispenser on every floor, so you don't have to bother going down to the lobby for hot water. It's really convenient, especially if you have a baby and need hot water for formula in the middle of the night. The deluxe room was so spacious, I think it could comfortably fit 5 people. It even had a mini-fridge."

"An absolutely flawless 5-star stay at Gurney Bay Hotel! The absolute highlight of our arrival was Mr. Qasim at the front desk. He was incredibly welcoming and managed to arrange a free upgrade to a gorgeous seaview room for us due to miscommunication from the hotel staff. Waking up to that ocean view and heading down to their massive, delicious breakfast buffet made our trip perfect. Exceptional hospitality….& we will definitely be back!"

"Recently we stayed at Mercure Penang Beach and had an enjoyable experience overall. The cleanliness of the room was satisfactory, and the general tidiness was acceptable. However, the hotel could improve the condition and maintenance of the carpets and flooring to enhance the overall guest experience. The amenities provided were adequate and met basic expectations. One aspect that stood out was the room service team, who delivered excellent service throughout my stay. Kudos to the staff for their professionalism and responsiveness. The room TV setup could be improved. Many modern hotels now offer Google TV or Android TV, which provide a better entertainment experience and more viewing options for guests. The swimming pool is great for children and families. However, I would suggest relocating the shower area closer to the pool entrance. Currently, it is located quite far away, which may discourage guests from showering before entering the pool. One of the hotel’s biggest advantages is its location. Guests have direct access to the beach, making it an excellent choice for beach activities and seaside relaxation. The breakfast selection was impressive, offering a wide variety of choices. The food was also tasty and enjoyable, making breakfast one of the highlights of the stay. The main area that requires improvement is the parking facility, which could be better organized and more convenient for guests. Overall, Mercure Penang Beach offers a pleasant stay with excellent room service, a good family-friendly pool, direct beach access, and a great breakfast spread. With improvements to the TV system, pool shower location, flooring condition, and parking facilities, the guest experience could be even better."
