The hotel has a modern feel despite its age, with swift check-in. My room was impeccably clean, and the bathroom provided hot water with excellent pressure. I particularly appreciated the comfortable pillows, available in both thin and thick options. It's a bustling hub in Kuantan, offering free parking and a shopping center nearby.

YYANGSONG TEO 2026.02.22
We recently stayed at Hyatt Kuantan and, unfortunately, the experience did not meet the usual standards I associate with the Hyatt brand. While the property has a good location and overall potential, the hotel itself appears somewhat aged and clearly in need of refurbishment and modernization. The F&B offerings lacked creativity and refinement. The menu selection felt rather basic, and the presentation and variety did not reflect the elevated dining experience typically expected from Hyatt properties elsewhere. There is definitely room for improvement in both quality and innovation. Front desk communication was another area of concern. Response time was slow, and coordination appeared inconsistent, resulting in unnecessary waiting and minor confusion during check-in and inquiries. Housekeeping standards were also below par — room upkeep felt average at best, with details that were not attended to carefully. Overall, while the hotel may still serve as a functional stay option in Kuantan, the level of hospitality and service fell short compared to other Hyatt properties I have experienced. With proper upgrades and service improvements, the hotel certainly has the potential to better align with Hyatt’s usual brand standards.

The hotel is right by the sea, so you can watch the sunrise from your bed. In the evening, when the tide is out, you can collect clams. The front desk service is excellent, and there's a swimming pool directly facing the ocean. Parking is free. The room is large, clean, and comfortable, and you can hear the sound of the waves while you sleep. The only minor drawback is that the towels and sheets are a bit old, but everything else is great.

An unforgettable experience and truly one of the best I’ve ever had. I visited before with my family, but this time felt far more exclusive and refined. The service was exceptional, and the entire place is absolutely stunning. Deeply grateful. I will definitely return again.

The room is bigger than i expected. The service from the receptionist is so so so good, they explained very well about the room and share some suggestions to us for taking a good picture. The meh thing is the cleanliness is not in top notch service. The toilet bowl is so so so dirty, there is yellow stain a lot! The bath tub also was not in good condition. There is some mold at toilet. Please please please improve this problem. Not to forget that there is spider web at some lamp. For outside of the hotel, there are a lot of goose poop at road. I know the hotel isn’t the new hotel but i hope you will improve the facilities. For breakfast, i will give 2/5 because the food isn’t hot and the taste is kinda bland also doesn’t have a lot of options. Please improve the cleanliness thing first ya

We stayed at Chateau Spa, Bukit Tinggi for 4 days and 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was a truly pleasant and relaxing experience. The resort was peaceful and beautifully maintained, making it a perfect place to unwind and celebrate a special occasion. The room was clean, and the toilet was well kept, which made the stay very comfortable. The staff service was truly tip-top—everyone was attentive, caring, and clearly prioritised our wellbeing and comfort throughout our stay. Their professionalism and warmth really stood out. As for the food, breakfast and the buffet were fine, but the à la carte meals for lunch and dinner were definitely worth the money. The portion sizes matched the price well, and there was a good variety of Western and Malay cuisine. We tried the Western dishes, including salmon and steak, and they were delicious. The spa prices were affordable, though booking in advance is recommended. We visited during the last few days of December, and the weather was cold and lovely, adding to the overall relaxing experience. We left feeling happy, refreshed, and well taken care of. Would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful getaway or a special celebration.

The room is as what was advertised - body and hair shampoo provided. Room is clean. Towels are clean but you can see they are abit worn out. I am not complaining given the price we pay. There are 2 hotel reserved parking lots and we have been lucky to be able to utilise them while we were there for 3 days 2 nites stay. Staff are helpful. We stayed on level 2 - the highest level. However, on Sat night, very late at night, maybe in the wee hours, we could hear furnitures being moved and dragged above us. The hotel may want to avoid such furniture move during these hours so as not to disturb the sleeping time of their guests

The breakfast service needs improvement; preparation was quite slow, and the selection was limited. Additionally, the room & corridor areas feels dated due to the old carpeting. Replacing it with tiling would be a much cleaner and more modern choice....

We recently stayed at the Genting SkyWorlds Hotel (formerly known as the Theme Park Hotel). While the name has changed, the charm of the location remains. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, specifically for the stunning mountain views from our balcony. However, there were a few issues with the room maintenance. Upon check-in, we found stagnant water and debris in the bathroom sink, which wasn't the best first impression. Additionally, we noticed a persistent smell of cooking/food in our room, suggesting we were located perhaps too close to the hotel kitchen or a nearby restaurant ventilation system. Interestingly, we found ourselves spending more time relaxing in the room than exploring. Genting has become very commercialized, feeling more like a giant shopping mall and entertainment complex than a nature retreat. Aside from the view from our balcony, the 'green' side of the highlands is fading. Despite the cleaning issues, we still had a pleasant, relaxing time and would return for the atmosphere.

GGuest UserHmm, how do I put this? At this price point, you can't expect top-notch service, ambiance, or facilities, but for what you pay, it's decent. The room did have a bit of a damp smell. I was shopping at the outlet mall for a long time, so I didn't want to stay up in the mountains and chose this cheaper hotel nearby. Since I was only there for a few hours at night, it didn't really matter. The room was surprisingly spacious, actually, very big. It had a living room and two bedrooms, but I was only traveling with one child, so I didn't even use the smaller room. The small room had no windows and was quite damp; it probably wouldn't be very comfortable to sleep in. However, the main room was perfectly fine – the bed was large, the room itself was big, and it even had an en-suite bathroom.

MManmanlyThe hotel felt like a quiet, secluded haven. We booked a beach villa, and they even accommodated our request for a room with a great view. There were many sharks by the jetty, and we could snorkel right outside our room to see plenty of fish and small sharks. The hotel food was good, though a bit pricey. The room design was truly impressive, with front and back doors offering different views, and we even saw many playful monkeys. The cleanliness was absolutely spotless! It also came with a separate vanity table, which turned out to be perfect for our child's homework. The only letdown was the spa. For a hotel that markets itself as a spa destination, the spa rooms were chilly and damp. The therapist was simply awful; she even stopped massaging me when I fell asleep??? I definitely do not recommend getting a spa treatment at this hotel.

MMystery solvedThe stay was good, clean, and easy access to the mall, ****** and sky avenue. However be prepared for a 100m run from the entrance to your hotel room, it is actually wide enough and quite a nice walk 🤭 staff were well trained and attentive to any needs or questions you may have, not sure what amenities the hotel has as there wasn’t any that had directional cues for guests, so I’m guessing there aren’t any? I may be wrong

LLV20The room is clean and spacious with comfy bed. They have heated pool too but if you ask me will i come again? the answer is probably No. Its not cold, not foggy. The hotel is located below gohtong jaya. Reason: Parking is limited, to access the pool is like a maze, i was from wing D and going to the pool is so complicated. Small swimming pool and mostly pack. Breakfast was average, the dont have the special teh tarik that i usually get in other swiss garden hotel..The egg station has long queue. What made me unhappy the most is they only provide one shower gel and when i called in to request for another, they did not bring it at all. Disappointed..

AAainaa NRFast process for check in.. Clean rooms. Requested room to be at the same level, as we had a brother with limited disability but not granted. Requested rooms with nice view but we got 2 suites facing construction site. Expected both rooms had bath tubs but only suites with 2 rooms had it. Jacuzzi not functioning for hot tap. Husband whatsapp to the given no, but no reply. I called the room service by myself but was given info that need up to 4 hours to get heated. We waited with hopes, but not functioning. My husband called up, and said will send the management team but somehow did not turn up until checked out. So, NO POINT OF HAVING JACUZZI IF THE HOT TAP WATER IS NOT FUNCTIONING. Many playgrounds. Even we had one at level 21, however, so dusty. The indoor playground only has 1 slides and foosball. No other attraction inside. As for arcade, we paid to play Air hockey table for nothing! Indoor swimming pool with heated water and outdoor playground were good. The sauna was not up to par. Not heated regardless of how much water we poured on. Not so many halal outlets for Muslim at the mall. Conclusion: Will not repeat.

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and had mixed experiences. On the plus side, the hotel's mountain-top location is unbeatable, with breathtaking views and a 15-20 minute drive to the theme park and ******. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out a breeze. However, I had some significant concerns with the hotel's facilities, which felt outdated and in need of maintenance. There is a swimming pool with warm water, but no hot water shower at changing room after you swim. It's not possible to shower there before you back to your hotel room. Cleanliness could also be improved too. The biggest headache was the parking - while it's free for hotel guests, the process of validating and exiting the car park was convoluted and stressful, especially during peak hours. I.e. every time you exit the car park, you need to validate your touch n go card at hotel lobby (tower 2) while car park is at tower 7. You have to take lift to level 3 to walk across skybridge and take lift again to collect your car. Don't forget you only have 20 min to exit the car park after validation. And the parking lots themselves were also cramped and challenging to navigate. The hotel's layout, with multiple towers and levels, was confusing even for me, and I found myself getting lost daily. I e. Check in at tower 2, you may stay at tower 3, car park is at tower 7, and breakfast is at another tower. If you're comfortable with this, you might enjoy your stay, but I'd recommend exploring other options in Genting Highlands.
