Wuhan Royal Suites & Towers Hotel

Jianghan Road/Hanzheng Road Wuhan|0.69km from downtown
I have to complain, this was a terrible stay. Checked in that night and was upgraded to the executive floor during registration. But a series of bad experiences started after checking in. 1. After taking a bath, I found that the water in the bathtub was blocked. 2. I woke up from the heat at 12 o'clock in the middle of the night. The room was stuffy and hot. This was March in Wuhan, and the temperature outside was very comfortable. I found that the air conditioner panel only blew hot air whether it was turned on for hot air or cold air, and there were no windows to open for ventilation. I called customer service and the technician who came to my door told me that there is no air conditioning in Wuhan during this season. Let him enter the house to experience the sweltering heat. He said that he could feel the heat as soon as he stood at the door. I asked why it couldn't even blow natural cold wind. Anyway, it only had hot air. As a result, the master brought a fan to cool down and ventilate the room. It was incredible that I fell asleep with the fan blowing on that night. 3. The phone can only be used for hands-free dialing, and the handset cannot be used. The hands-free sound is too loud and the volume cannot be adjusted. I went to customer service to report the situation in the middle of the night, but the old man who was already asleep was woken up like this. It was really frustrating! I hope the hotel can continue to improve its facilities and give everyone a wonderful accommodation experience. The cost of a hotel night is quite a lot, so it should at least be worth it.

Howard Johnson Pearl Plaza Wuhan

Jianghan Road/Hanzheng Road Wuhan|0.28km from downtown
First off, I want to say that the housekeeping department was wonderful. They were not only great cleaners but they were also very thoughtful about checking when we would be out of the room during the day if they happened to show up when we were there. A few other things that were great about the hotel: the spectacular location (it's near so many great restaurants in a very walkable area), the big empty swimming pool with a view of the city, the generosity with face masks, and all staff seemed well trained in hospitality... So it breaks my heart that our arrival at the hotel so completely marred our stay. When my kids and I walked into the hotel one of the staff--I'm afraid I didn't catch her name in my shock, but I believe she was the manager on duty--grabbed a handful of gloves and handed them to us as we were still struggling to pull out all the green codes required of us (we were told to show two codes initially and then later would go through many more codes in a quest to see which would be accepted). She started the conversation by asking if we were leaving and when we said we were checking in, she asked to see the tracing app and immediately declared all the places we had been to as dangerous (the app was green and there were no asterisks at that point, I would later gain an asterisk thanks to being in Wuhan). They were not. We had travelled carefully, tracking the news of outbreaks and did our best to avoid all dangerous locations and crowds. We explained this to her and walked her through every place on our trip that we had been, but she refused to accept any of this. She kept insisting everywhere we had been was dangerous. It didn't matter to her how many green codes we had. We were foreigners that had come to Wuhan from a city in Jiangsu, taking a route that travelled near provinces where there were COVID-19 cases, and that meant we were dangerous. I want to be sympathetic. People in Wuhan had a much worse 2020 than anyone else in China. I can only imagine how terrifying it must be to have another significant outbreak a year later (we further had the bad luck of arriving in Wuhan on the same day as new cases). The hotel staff gave us a free fruit plate and they gave my daughter a stuffed animal, which she adored. But I was also travelling alone with two kids who were so traumatized by the experience (they were worried that we would be taken to a hospital or quarantine center and separated for who-knows-how-long) that they initially refused to eat dinner and still talk about the experience a week later (it didn't help that they noticed a Chinese guest arrive and check in without a face mask while we were still being interrogated with gloves and masks on and waited for a doctor to come and clear us). When the kids finally did decide they would eat, so long as we didn't leave the hotel, we discovered there was no longer ocean fish or seafood on the menu because of the virus which was interesting because we would find plenty of places outside the hotel that still offered salmon. Later when we tried to go to the Thai restaurant in the ball, we were told it was not open to us because of COVID-19 restrictions even though two lovely ladies who looked shocked to see us in the elevator were welcomed in. I assume there was some small private engagement or meeting that wasn't open to the public as there was no information anywhere that said the hotel restaurant was closed to the public. So I am divided on my feelings on this hotel. I want to believe it is a well run hotel and we were just unlucky to arrive on the wrong day. I can't really see myself staying here again if I return to Wuhan. My kids and I didn't really feel welcome here.

This time I came to Wuhan to play better near Jianghan Road. I accidentally chose this one. I fell in love with the first experience. I highly recommend the accommodation experience. It is very good. I live in a quadruple room for girls. The young ladies in the same bedroom are very qualified and very good. Come, chat together very happy, Everyone will also turn off the lights at night, very friendly. Secondly, you can wash clothes, dry clothes, all toiletries, as well as disposable slippers, shower gel, shampoo, laundry detergent, what you can think of, here, and cute kittens can be ~ location and service: the location is very good, there is Xunlimen subway station next to it, take the subway, It took two minutes to walk. There is a food street shopping mall downstairs. There are many delicious attractions. It is really super convenient. I have been playing nearby for the past two days. The service is also in place. The boss is very good. Recommended for eating, drinking and playing around: there are fireworks alleys, water towers, food street, Lihuangbanna Road, Hankou River Beach, Baocheng Night Market, Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street downstairs, next to M+ shopping mall shopping, shopping attractions, super convenient. Downstairs there are Master Fu pastries, yogurt cans, cans of oil cakes, handmade dumplings, hot dry noodles, Wangji Niuzaiguan, after eating, go to the pedestrian street, you can also take a walk to Nanjing Road to see the old-fashioned buildings in various cities, and then go to Jiqing Street to eat night market and drink soup, feel the authentic old Wuhan characteristics. I really recommend everyone to come to this hostel to experience it and feel the special forces travel.

Jincheng Capsule Chain Youth Apartment (Wuhan Chuhe Hanjie)
3.9/536 Reviews
Chu River and Han Street, East Lake Scenic Area
There is no air conditioner in the cabin, only ventilation fans, the noise is relatively loud, the door is closed, it is very hot and airtight, and I ordered a horizontal cabin, which is the room type in the photo in Figure 1, but the actual room type in Figure 2 does not match the picture. The door of the room type in Figure 1 is on the long side, the door is larger and more breathable, and the door of the room type in Figure 2 is on the wide side, and the inside is more stuffy if it is too deep. There is hot water in the bathroom, and there is a TV in the cabin but you need to plug in the earphones. The earphones in the cabin are broken and can’t be used. There is wifi. In the crevices, various oil and water stains on the mats, and the food and drink of Lazarus by the permanent residents are placed in the aisle to affect the ups and downs. Ten minutes passed after waiting for the elevator. The floor was too high and there were too many residents. Even the two elevators were also served. The only good thing is that the location is superior, on the edge of Chu River Han Street, convenient for shopping. On the whole, the price is the condition, if you only stay for one night, it's okay, long time is not recommended.
