The Hotel is old but well preserved and it is very well located. It's supously alowed to smoke (everything) inside the hotel, what is highly unpleasant for non smokers. Although the service is friendly, it's poor, in our experience we had no body towels in the room and after I request it, I still had to wait a couple of hours to receive the towells which were in the laundry.

Is it suitable for a short stay? The facilities are a little old, but there is a microwave and refrigerator. The beachfront location is great, and there is a restaurant next door, but there is no convenience store nearby. Unless the pharmacy next door is closed. . . I'm sorry.

They don't have hot water to bathe.

Cool location with view of harbor. Room has character. Shower was the only downer (water didn’t get very hot and had low pressure).

Older place, amazing location. The room needed vacuuming, the bathroom floor had hair all over, the linens on one bed had stains. The room was in need of maintenance. What made up for it - The location was amazing, walkable, and super safe.

Booked in for 2 nights. Couldn’t make it to Night 2 - checked out a day early. No sleep the first night due to party room below us that went all night. Discussed with front reception and no response. Left hotel straight away. Only good part was the parking spot. Not for me

The property is well located, old but clean and the rooms are OK. The staff at the front desk was cordial and helpful. The issue I had was with the water heater that was broken one of the days I stayed and I had to take a cold bath early in the morning. The hotel did nothing about it, after several attempts to talk to the manager in person, phone calls later or emails. I haven’t received a reply yet. Not good management…

I’d been in this hotel 30 years earlier and found it outstanding. It’s still cute and with a great, kind staff. But the property shows its age. The rooms have been renewed, the bathrooms still look the same. The unbeatable upside is the location, right on a quiet beach.

Room was not very clean Could not get coffee or cups during our 2 day stay. We were told someone had taken had taken all supplies of both and they were waiting for resupply

We liked the location. The facility is run down, cheaply furnished. The entire facility had NO HOT WATER the morning we checked out. The staff were unapologetic. I asked about a rebate and have heard nothing.

Pretty basic property. "Breakfast" as advertised was a bottle of instant coffee. Room repair adequate, just. Hot water in my room was 5 minutes away. Wonderful location, served my needs, but if you are looking for something comfortable beyond a clean bed, this might not be it.

The proximity to the airport and to Venice Beach were the draw to stay at the Foghorn. Its a bit outdated and the walls could use a wipe down but the bed was comfortable.

I came to Marina Del Rey for a business trip for couple if days, I have been staying at the Foghorn for the last 7 years. The receiption people are very friendly. I love the near by access to Venice beach and the local Sandy beach.
