Great view for our room and at night I see fireworks from our window. Room is big but a bit old. Bathroom is too small and tiny. Lobby and waiting room areas are nice , clean and comfy. Staffs in the morning are great . They can speak English. No much going on the main street , most shops aren’t open. Behind the hotel has an amazing view of the Toya Lake and in a distance you see Mt. Youteizon. A very relaxing walk and cruise ship comes and goes. We will come back for our vacation in the future.

Great stay if one has a relatively generous budget $$ to experience Japanese hospitality, a slightly more luxurious feel of a holiday. Hospitality, housekeeping, sauna, and the buffet dinner was excellent! Views from the rooms looking out into Lake Toya was also no doubt magnificent! Great views across the lake for avid joggers in the morning!

The owner was very friendly. He bought us welcome gifts. He even informed us about the weather around the area. The scenery was fantastic as well, as you are greeted by lake toya the minute you step out of the house.
Overall it was a great experience and the owner was very hospitable and friendly, I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone interested in visiting lake toya or Niseko.

LLoner TravellerThe view on Lake Toya from the hotel was spectacular. We were lucky to have witnessed the cloud sea and sunrise. From the other angle, we could see the full view of Mt Yotei, also known as Hokkaido Fuji. There are few restaurants in the hotel, including the Japanese, Chinese, French, and the Italian. There was also good onsen in the hotel, both idoor and outdoor. We will definitely come back to stay again in the future.

GGuest UserThe room was large and quiet so I was able to spend a comfortable time! The staff were very friendly and I was able to enjoy my trip to Hokkaido without any inconvenience. Is the fireworks display lifted in various places this year? However, the fireworks in Toya here are the best! You can see it from your room, and if you want to experience more powerful fireworks, you can move to the lakeside to see it! (I was satisfied with the fireworks from the room ..) There is a little distance to the city, but I personally didn't particularly care. I definitely want to come next year!

GGuest UserI made a reservation in a hurry the day before, but it was close to the rental in the corona pass, and it was very cheap and I was able to stay overnight in a good location on the edge of Lake Toya. So there is no problem in the shared toilet. There was also a washlet in a western toilet. There was a washbasin in the room. The window was also open and the room was smoking. The view of Lake Toya was good from the window, and the fireworks that rose every night from May to the end of October looked beautiful. The hot spring is quite hot, but it was comfortable to get used to it. The parking lot was a lot of signboards for different shops, so it was a lot of fun. There are convenience stores and delicious taverns nearby, and there is no inconvenience with breakfast and dinner and no problem.

Yyuichi0402 The Go To campaign has been postponed and we chose this hotel as a hotel where you can spend the year-end and New Year holidays quietly near Sapporo. It's almost on the other side of the lake of Lake Toya Onsen, so I really relaxed quietly. There is only one convenience store in the area, and there are few tourists. That's why I wanted to see the first sunrise of the New Year from the room bath. This year, the cold waves have come for the first time in decades, and Sapporo was like a snowstorm. Clouds flowed in Lake Toya near the Pacific Ocean side, but I was able to see the first sunrise from the open-air bath in the large communal bath. According to the hotel word of mouth at TripAdvisor, the evaluation was divided in an open-air bath with a room. It can be seen from the outside, but first of all, it's a cold village without people, and I think it's okay to have a bathing suit. I felt a special feeling of bathing while looking at the cold moon on a cold night. It's an overseas-capital hotel, so it's great to relax and understand in advance that it's different from a Japanese hot spring hotel. I would like to spend the New Year's Eve here next year. Good point: ① The hospitality of the staff, the number of Japanese staff increased, and the moderate distance feeling was wonderful. We stayed for 2 nights, but the words that conveyed the feelings of the staff relieved me. ② The meal was Japanese for both dinners and nights. The taste of the soup stock was very delicious. The main Hokkaido beef was the same level of deliciousness as the one I received at Niseko Hilton last fall. Near Maruyama in Sapporo, it is worth a course of around 10,000 yen. Breakfast buffet is far away. ③ The large windows of the large communal bath and the lukewarm water temperature made me enjoy the scenery of Lake Toya leisurely. ④ In winter, it is close to Niseko and Rusutsu (because the slip accident is scary at Nakayama Pass in winter). Both have half board during the ski season and cannot stay at this price. Improvement points: ① To go to the public bath, it was cold to go outdoors and dressing room once. It may be due to the cold waves, but yukata is severe on a snowstorm night. ② How about the fact that many hot spring hotels in Hokkaido can also slippers? Some people may want to go in yukata, but the atmosphere of dinner is disappointing. It may not be possible at a city hotel of this class. ③ As a layout of the room, it may be unfamiliar for Japanese people to have a washbasin in front of the bed. Especially we were triple beds, so it was too small because we had skiwear and the closet was small for winter consecutive nights. Still, overall, it is a reasonable dinner hotel that you want to revisit with the hospitality of the meal, hot springs, restaurants and bars, staff.

GGuest UserWe decided to spend one night in Tōya-ko on our way down to Hakodate and It was definitely worth it. Not only because of the beautiful scenery but also thanks to this hotel. It is definitely an old hotel, but in my opinion, it only added to the ,”traditional Japanese” vibe of the place. The room was very spacious for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids, and it was such a pleasant change to other new and modern yet very tiny hotels we normally stay at. Breakfast was excellent, with so many traditional dishes to choose from. And the onsen right in the hotel is another big plus. I'm not a huge fan of the onsen myself, but I absolutely loved the cave looking onsen and the one located outside. The whole hotel kind of reminded me of Ryokan. But what is hands downs the best about the place, is the view you get from your room, which is spectacular. The view of the lake Tōya and Mt Yōtei is simply breathtaking.

Food and service was good. No complaint since the price was really cheap. Always see someone complaining the traditional Japanese hot spring hotels are dated, PLEASE ask yourself how much you pay. The price includes fine dinning. It's about quality of food, NOT quantity. Can you get a hotel room with fine dinning of same quality of food with the same price anywhere else? This is a very unfair comment to this hotel. The rule of the game never changes: You have to pay for quality.

GGuest UserI have to say that this is really a great memory. I went there at the end of 2019. The room I lived in was facing the lake. I got up in the morning and looked out the window and I could enjoy the lake view directly. There were buses outside to reach various attractions. The hot spring environment of the hotel is very good, soaking in the outdoor soup can also enjoy the snow while soaking, this is really a rare experience. It is highly recommended to go to the leisurely accommodation of Lake Toya and the people who soak in the soup.

KklgirlWe booked the Japanese style room with a fantastic view of Lake Toya. Room size is big (for Japanese standard). It even has a sitting area for you to enjoy the view of the lake. The amenities is a bit outdated but all in good working condition. Within walking distance to the Mt. Uzu Memorial Park. You are also able to see the night fireworks from our window. The onsite onsen has indoor and outdoor. We tried that it was was good.

GGuest UserThe room on the first night was very good, and I didn't want to change rooms. But my order was for a four-person room for the second night (there were only two of us staying), so I had to check out first and then check in to another room. I communicated with the hotel customer service in English on Ctrip, and the response was very fast. But I was notified that I had to check out at 10 o'clock and check in to the new room at 4 pm. During the day, we went to Lake Toya and took a boat around the lake. There was an island in the lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, especially Mount Yotei, which was very beautiful. I also went to the Volcano Science Museum and watched the film commentary, which detailed the scenes before and after the two volcanic eruptions of Mount Usu in 1977 and 2000, the changes in the surface and the formation of hot springs (earphones were sent with Chinese explanations). It was 17:30 when I returned to the hotel, and I opened the email to check the new room number and door code. I was shocked after opening the door! The room is really big. There is a bedroom with two 1.5-meter beds (see Figure 2, we didn't use this room), and a room connected to the living room, which also has two 1.5-meter beds. Although the room is big, it is very warm and not cold at all, thanks to the powerful heater (see the last second picture). There are two large windows in the living room. In the morning, the sun shines directly on the bed and the dining table. Eating breakfast in the sun makes me feel sunny. The kitchen utensils are very new and more complete than the twin room last night. There are rice cookers and coffee machines. The dining table is very long and can accommodate 6 people. The smart toilet is also very warm. I really want to stay here and not leave. Before leaving, I would like to give the hotel three small suggestions: 1. The washbasin is low in height and needs to bend over to use it. The washbasin mirror is very mini and very high. When I stand on tiptoe when combing my hair, I can't see it (see Figure 8). 2. The bathroom is a bathtub. Can a shower base be added to the wall in front of the bathtub? Because we are all used to taking showers (see Figure 12). 3. The fully automatic washing machine is very good, but I couldn't find any detergent. I bought some detergent at 7-11 (see Figures 9 and 11) and washed a few pairs of fleece pants. The room temperature was high, and the clothes were all dry in the morning, which was great for us who still had to travel for more than ten days. When checking out, you can leave by flipping the sign on the door. With our luggage, we walked five minutes to the station and rushed to our next stop - Hakodate. Goodbye!
