The hotel's location is superb! It's within walking distance to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Grand Tang Dynasty Everbright City, and the subway station is right on its doorstep. The rooms are clean and spacious, with plenty of hot water. The service is warm and friendly, even providing a thoughtful fruit plate. Breakfast offers a rich variety of options. The value for money here is outstanding – a must-stay when you're in Xi'an!

In this bustling city, this hotel is a quiet sanctuary. The wood-themed decor feels warm and soothing, and you can see the thoughtful touches everywhere, from the greenery to the artwork in the hallways. The room's aromatherapy scent is subtle and pleasant, and the soft bedding ensures a great night's sleep. In the morning, I enjoyed a gentle breeze on the terrace with a cup of the hotel's homemade floral tea, watching the busy traffic below. All the fatigue from my travels just melted away.

The front desk is on the second floor. We were checked in by a friendly young woman wearing glasses who was very enthusiastic. She even upgraded our room when she saw we had a child with us. The room wasn't huge, but the bathroom was quite spacious, featuring a double vanity and a bathtub. Food deliveries are handled by robots. Hot milk is also available. Breakfast is served on the second floor; while seating is limited, the selection of food is quite rich and tastes pretty good. The hotel's location is excellent, right outside the Bell Tower Metro Station. Across the street is Kaiyuan Mall, with the Bell Tower right at its entrance. The Muslim Quarter is just a ten-minute walk away. This hotel offers great value for money and excellent service.

The location is fantastic, very close to the subway station. My family and I chose this hotel for our trip to Xi'an, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The hotel's location is excellent, right outside the South Gate of the city wall, with many large shopping malls nearby. It's also convenient to get onto the city wall, and at night, you can enjoy the Yongning Gate night view from your room. As soon as we entered the lobby, a staff member proactively greeted us, helped with our luggage, and after a quick check-in, even brought our bags to the room and explained features like the air conditioning. This was a very thoughtful gesture. We drove here, and they offer free parking, which saved us money. Plus, there are plenty of dining options at the nearby malls, making meals very convenient. Most importantly, the hotel offers free luggage storage. While the room facilities aren't brand new, the cleanliness is impeccable, and the room itself is very spacious. I felt the service was really good, and overall, it was a great experience. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to friends or family visiting in the future. What's more, traveling during the off-season made it incredibly good value for money, and the service was super, with all the staff being very patient. It's like the Haidilao of hotels!

The location is incredibly convenient. It's right next to famous attractions like the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Xi'an City Wall, Forest of Stone Tablets Museum, and the Muslim Quarter. Bell Tower subway station is right outside, making it super easy to get around. Plus, there's a direct shuttle to the Terracotta Army right in front, so you don't have to go far to catch a bus to the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor. The front desk service is excellent; they're all very patient in helping guests with any issues.

I stumbled upon the Elegant Hotel for my business trip to Xi'an this time, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The location is excellent, and it proved to be very practical during my stay. It's a five-minute walk from the subway station, making it super convenient for getting around. In the evenings, after visiting the Bell Tower, walking back through the small alleys near the hotel, I could smell the aroma of home-cooked meals wafting from the residential buildings – much more grounding than staying in a bustling commercial district. The room was genuinely clean; even notoriously dusty spots like wall corners and table crevices were spotless. The bedding felt soft and worn-in from washing, not like stiff new fabric, making it very comfortable to sleep under. The air conditioning was powerful; with Xi'an's scorching summer heat, being able to retreat to a cool room was a lifesaver. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, so I could take a refreshing shower, and the vanity mirror was sparkling clean, perfect for putting on makeup. The service was the 'no-fuss' kind. The front desk even offered cucumber-lemon water and sour plum juice when I checked in and introduced some of the hotel's facilities. Overall, the value for money is great, and it was a worry-free stay. I'll definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Xi'an! [jumping][jumping][jumping]

This stay was very bad. Very bad. We were arranged to stay in the north. The north side faces the street. The cars passing by at 4 o'clock in the morning, especially the cement tankers, were very loud. It was impossible to fall asleep. No matter how good, comfortable, and welcoming the hotel is, it can't stand such noise, especially the window where I stayed was the entrance and exit of the parking lot, and there was an intelligent voice gate that announced the vehicle number in and out, which was very loud. The experience was very bad, and I would like to remind you. If you stay in this hotel, don't stay on the north side of the hotel.

The hotel is located in a garden area, and the room is relatively spacious. My friend felt that the shampoo products were very suitable for her to use. The hotel also has free laundry and drying services, and the waiters are very enthusiastic. Parking is free in the basement. Just call the front desk to report your license plate number when you go out. There are many restaurants near the hotel, which is convenient. Recommend everyone

Weekend train trek to BaoJi from Xi’an. It’s a very walkable city, and there are bikes all around. Crowne Plaza has a nice longe on the 40th Floor. It is next to a mall, and adjacent to the theater. The park nearby stretches to the historically designed walking bridge into Chencang Old Street (I suggest folk music bar next to Panda Aquarium/BaoJi Station display). Crowne has nice views and comfortable rooms. Staff is bilingual and everything is clean. Of the Crowne Plazas I have stayed in, this one is maintained well.

XXiaoqiyaWe stayed for two nights, on the 16th and 17th. On the 15th, I received a call from the hotel asking about our room preferences. I requested a room with a good view, non-smoking, and quiet. When we checked in, the staff assigned us room 213. This was the lowest floor I've ever stayed on in a hotel, and it was room number 13! I was surprised that the hotel actually had a room 13! How could an international hotel like this assign room 13 to a foreigner? During afternoon tea that day, besides my husband, myself, and an Asian mother and daughter, all the other guests were foreigners. This made me realize even more why I was so unlucky to get room 13! This hotel has such a unique room number 13, and they treat their own compatriots differently from foreigners! However, the smart toilet in room 13 was broken. It wouldn't automatically lift the lid or flush when you stood in front of it. What was even more unbearable was that as soon as you sat on it, the toilet would make a loud gurgling sound and automatically spray water on your backside. We tried it twice, and it happened both times. Also, the light switch was malfunctioning and didn't work. As a result, our room was changed to room 206. Neither room 13 nor room 06 had a French garden view; you could only see trees outside the window. Room 06 overlooked a concrete platform. I stayed during the off-season, and there were only a handful of guests at both afternoon tea and breakfast. Even during the peak breakfast time at 8 AM, there were only four tables with no more than ten guests. In such an off-season, why couldn't they offer us a higher floor with a better view? The male butler from the hotel called in advance on the 15th to ask about my room preferences; wasn't that just being insincere and fake? The staff's service level was inconsistent. Two female servers at afternoon tea and breakfast simply didn't observe guests' needs. The slim, tall female server in the afternoon tea restaurant had an ice-cold expression and no proactive service awareness. One female server in the breakfast restaurant looked like she hadn't woken up yet, with messy hair, no makeup, and ill-fitting work clothes, completely lacking the demeanor of a star-rated hotel employee. More importantly, this server didn't proactively observe guests' tables. Every time, we had to call her to take away the empty plates. Even more exaggerated, when she took away empty plates, she wouldn't simultaneously take away empty cups, nor would she think to ask. Let's talk about the problems with the breakfast restaurant: First, the flowers on the dining tables were fake! For a 'diamond-level' hotel like this, how can they put fake flowers on the tables? If they want to save costs, there are many ways: place some air plants or soilless succulents, or even small, easy-to-care-for plants. Anything real would be more tasteful than these fake ones. Regardless, a 'diamond-level' hotel should not have fake flowers on its dining tables. This is disrespectful to guests. Second, there was a wide variety of bread, but no chain-type toaster to heat the bread. This is usually a staple at the bread station in five-star hotels. Yet, at this 'super five-star' hotel, you can only eat cold bread for breakfast. Third, the restaurant only provided toothpicks, not dental floss sticks. Nowadays, even very ordinary restaurants offer dental floss sticks. A 'diamond-level' hotel like this should provide guests with dental floss sticks, and ideally, toothpick brushes. Additionally, the steps in the bathrooms of both room 13 and room 06 were damaged. In room 13, the hotel actually used cheap, uneven gray adhesive corner guards, which looked very out of place and clashed with the exquisite French decor. They should have used brass stair nosings! During my two-day stay at the hotel, Ms. Doris Du's kindness, politeness, proactive work attitude, and professional image left a very good impression on me. After we checked in and received our key, she led us to our room. She first gave us a tour of the hotel and introduced its history. On the day we checked out, she happened to be on duty at the front desk. She was the only staff member at the hotel who immediately stood up to greet guests upon seeing them! The only one! This small professional gesture of hers was like the first ray of sunshine in the morning, warming my heart! Recalling my check-in, there was a male and female staff member at the front desk. They did not stand up to greet us when guests checked in. When we received our room cards and got up to leave, they remained seated without moving. This is disrespectful to guests. Staff should stand up to greet guests when they arrive, ask them to sit down, and then sit down themselves to process the check-in. When guests receive their room cards and get up, the staff should also stand up to see them off. Such basic courtesies of polite welcome and farewell were completely lacking! On the day I checked in, I had two items of clothing that needed ironing. The female staff member who was on duty at the front desk that day came to our room to collect them. During the process of opening the door to see her, handing her the clothes, and briefly communicating with her, she maintained an ice-cold demeanor throughout, without a hint of a smile. She was not the only female staff member in this hotel who provided service without a smile. In summary, all these issues, and more, expose the hotel's unprofessional training and inadequate management. Sofitel Legend People's Grand Hotel Xian is not directly affiliated with the Sofitel group; it is part of the People's Grand Building owned by Shaanxi Urban Investment and Operations Group Co., Ltd., and is operated by AccorHotels, a French hotel management group. Therefore, the experience was vastly different from the Sofitel hotels I've stayed at abroad.

EEmilyThe two 1.5m beds were perfect for our family of four. You can request buckwheat pillows, which is a nice touch. Housekeeping was very thoughtful, providing enough toothbrushes and bottled water for everyone each day. Ordering takeout was a breeze; the delivery drivers dropped it off at the front desk, and a robot brought it right to our room. Staff always greeted us warmly when entering and leaving. The restaurant on the first floor was surprisingly affordable and the food was good too! Plus, it's just a stone's throw from Wenchang Gate.

MM513301****The room facilities were very smart and the hygiene was impeccable. We even got a free room upgrade upon check-in, and it was incredibly quiet. The front desk staff, both the young men and women, were very polite. We arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning, but the gentleman at the front desk diligently handled our check-in. And if we needed anything, the ladies at the front desk were always there to help us out. A big thanks to the housekeeping staff as well for their hard work! We had a wonderful trip and will definitely stay here again if we get the chance! (It's also very close to the scenic spots).

詠詠許The moment we stepped out of the elevator, a delightful aroma greeted us, leading us into the elegant lobby on the 16th floor. The decor here is tasteful and the atmosphere refined. Several friendly and professional front desk ladies provided excellent service during our check-in. Our room was spacious and comfortable, beautifully furnished, and fully equipped with all kinds of amenities and toiletries. The bed was wonderfully soft, ensuring a deep and restful sleep. Even the bathtub water temperature was just right, making bath time especially enjoyable. The hotel's location is near the Drum Tower, with a variety of restaurants in the vicinity. This is our top choice for a trip to Xi'an, and we will definitely return to this warm and wonderful place in the future! Every penny spent was worth it – the lavish breakfast, exquisite afternoon tea and late-night snacks, and the memorable red wine at the rooftop bar! I truly wish we had booked a few more nights! Many thanks to all the lovely ladies and gentlemen for their warm hospitality! 🌹

TTinaMThis is a lovely hotel with kind, welcoming staff. I read some reviews saying the rooms are very old etc, but I don't see how that makes this hotel any less great - the rooms are still clean and well maintained. I arrived in Xi'an after 48 hours of hectic traveling due to a missed train, and the staff at Meihao Hotel were very welcoming, were happy to use translation apps to communicate with me. The room was large, with a view of the neighbourhood outside (mostly just traffic jams haha, but that's Xi'an). The location may not be super ideal for some as it isn't in the city centre, but honestly it was no inconvenience at all, as the nearest subway station is a brisk walk away -- about 5-7 minutes. If you're arriving by train and carrying a lot of heavy luggage, then yes, coming via subway might be a bit of a challenge (but not impossible!) The housekeeping staff especially were very warm and kind. Thank you for always brightening my day when I walked by you all. A few hours after I checked in, a lovely staff member knocked on my door and offered me a small bowl of soup. I was very confused as I hadn't ordered anything, but upon seeing other guests were receiving this too, I gladly accepted. It was such an unexpected, kind gesture -- this hotel truly knows how to make one feel welcome. I fell ill on the second day of my stay, and thankfully the room was so comfortable, I could recuperate well. My only complaint is that the bedsheets, comforter, pillowcases etc -- all the bedding essentially smells of cigarette smoke. I could also smell cigarette smoke from beyond my room's door at night. This was despite there being a clear sign in the room saying smoking was not allowed inside. Though this is certainly not something you can fault hotel staff for (if guests are adamant to smoke inside, what can housekeeping possibly do?), I just thought I would mention this for any other guests who might be very sensitive to the smell, perhaps you could request staff to rewash the bedding until the smoke smell is entirely gone. After checking out, I also noticed there were some freebies that were part of my booking that I unfortunately missed out on :( There was meant to be welcome fruit, afternoon tea for two and a midnight snack, which I would have loved to try. There was no welcome fruit offered, but I did receive some refreshing juice when I arrived to check in -- it was a hot day and I was grateful for the welcome drink. For the other stuff, as I didn't realise it was part of the booking perks, I never asked, and consequently seem to have missed out. I also want to say that aside from the rooms, the lobby area is quite lovely -- very tastefully decorated, peaceful, and I even saw they had some free coffee out for guests! I only noticed this when I was checking out though, and my taxi was already on the way to pick me up, so I could not indulge. Maybe it would be helpful if the reception staff could share all this info with guests when they check in, especially with the foreign guests who are already a bit confused and trying to get their bearings ^-^ Just a suggestion! Thank you for a nice stay. I will definitely be back again soon.
